As the title says, this will be the last chapter of YHiM...well, for Kara anyways. Now, Dragan's creator is in the process of writing one of her own for Dragan (didn't feel right to me to make her ending). I've missed you all and I've missed writing so hope my skill hasn't rusted! We shall see, eh? ON WITH THE STORY.

"Come on, we're almost there, hurry it up!" An impatient voice yelled out despite their hushed tone.
"I'm here next to you. Why do you have to yell?" Another voice asked somewhat timid yet with a slight hint of annoyance.
"I'm not yelling. I'm whispering harshly."
"Sounds like yelling to-"
"Shh!" The sound of a smack was heard silencing the other voice but not without a pained protest.

Two small figures hunched over in the darkness of the sewers when they came across a flood drain that gave them a perfect view of their destination.

"There it is." the restless one said in excitement, pointing towards a tall and darkened building; the abandoned Fortune Cookie Factory. The second voice gulped nervously glancing from their companion to the building in front of them.
"Are you sure it's empty? No one goes in there?..Or, I dunno, that it's haunted?"
"Don't be suspishous, I sneak out here all the time. Haven't seen a single soul." The now becoming annoyed one was already climbing through the drain and rolled halfway in to the street before running towards the cover of a pile of garbage. They scoped the area out before waving for their companion to join them. "Come on, it's safe." They whispered loud enough for them to hear.

The second one seemed hesitant at first before taking in a deep breath, puffing out their chest, and followed suit. They tried to roll only to land flat onto their back with their legs in the air. In a rushed panic they squirmed back on their feet and ran to the safety of cover, almost smacking into the wall.

"See? That wasn't so bad. Now come on, the fun part is inside." The now calm one took the other by the hand, dragging them inside the building.

"How come it's so dark? Where's the light switch?"

"What're you crazy? We can't turn the lights on! We'll blow our cover!" They waved their arms frantically as if the very thought would cause the apocalypse.

"But I thought you said no one was ar-"
A hand covered the second one's mouth. "Shhshshshshhhh! I have a solu-sol-a fix for this!" They lead their follower to a crate and slid the top off with some difficulty before picking up a smaller box from inside. They set it down, opened it, and brought out a flashlight. Turning it on they pointed up at the ceiling to show it worked before bending over and grabbing a second one. "Here. You can use this one." Handing it over they began to walk forward while shining the light everywhere. "It gets lonely here sometimes. It being secret had lost it's coolness." They said answering the other's question before it was spoken.
A soft tint of color crossed their nose at the thought of being thought of first to show off their secret place. "Really? I-I'm the first one you've shown it to?"

When nothing was said a smile crossed their meek expression, the tint color growing from their cheeks. "You're so silly. Hey. You know what we can do?"

The eager one turned around and blinked when the light was flashed on them, covering their eyes with their small arm.
"Tag. You're it!" They giggled before running away.
A snicker came out of their mouth before running after them. "Not for long!"

The two chased each other around the dark factory, the lights spotting a bald head, dark patches of skin, the glint of blue and dark red-ish brown eyes, purple eyes, or the color green. Giggles and squeals of laughter filled the empty factory.

"I got you!"
"Nu-uh! I ducked before you could see me!"
"You're lying! I had the flashlight on you way before you hid behind the crates!"
"Was not!"
"Was too!"

The sound of doors opening caused the two to freeze in place for a second before they immediately ran behind a pile of broken crates. The first one turned the flashlights off hearing footsteps clicking on the concrete floor near them.

"I though you said no one comes here." The smaller one whispered; their nervousness returning.
"Shut up." They clamped their hand over the other's mouth and slowly poked their head around to corner to see who it was but the snap of a light turning on caused them to duck back behind cover.

The factory lights flashed on with a pop one at a time til the last one, which happened to be above the two children; the two mutant children.

The man that had entered popped open a crate the two were very close to and dropped the top, the little one whimpering at the loud sound. The man paused, his yellow eyes scanning the area thinking he had heard a sound. When he leaned over to check behind the crate the clicking of heels caught his attention and he slowly turned around.

A woman of 6'4 wearing a red corset top, skin tight black pants, knee high heeled boots, and a white fur coat entered the factory her dark brown eyes staring right at the man. Two identical males were on each side of her wearing formal suits and carrying rather intimidating weapons at their hips. When the woman stopped right in front of the man she popped her hip, placing her hand on it.

"Do you have what I requested?" She asked with a slight hint of an Italian accent.

The man only nodded and pulled out a canister of red ooze, handing it to her.

She stared at it in awe as if she was looking into the eyes of a lover. "This will do nicely. Have the preparations been set?" She turned back to the man, her eyes returning to their steely coldness.

"Yes, ma'am. Every weapon in our arsenal has been equipped with specialized bullets filled with the mutant killer, or like your father liked to ca-"
"-Do NOT speak of that man in my presence!" The woman shouted, glaring darkly at the man. "That waste of a space of a man had the perfect weapon yet he was defeated all those years ago by teenagers! And what did he do?" She lowered her voice, turning her attention to the canister in her hands. "He ignored his wife and child, stuffing that fat gollock til the very end. He got the death he so well deserved." The glow of the ooze reflected onto her face as she herself reflected on her past, idly running a finger down the side. "This is my plan now and I'll make sure it succeeds, with your help of course, Drake."

Drake only nodded to her before he continued with the explanation. "Mutants are still new to society, still adjusting the living on the surface but it's been long enough to where their guard is being lowered and it's been several years since we've seen," a soft cough interrupted his sentence, "a certain group of mutants. They are believed to either be gone or dead, ma'am."

"We can only hope the latter. Very well. Start distributing these to our allies and inform them where and when we will strike first. It's only a matter of time before the city fears the name Villa Visioso."

The two children were huddled together, each with their hands over the other's mouth, staring at each other with wide eyes, trembling due to the situation they were in that just turned dangerous.

"W-What should we do?" One whispered as quietly as they could fearing they would be heard.
"We need to get out of here." The other one looked around trying to find an escape. Luckily the lights were on so they were able to see better but the lights were on which meant they couldn't be sneaky. As luck would have it there was a pile of crates just close enough to an open window they could climb out of. "Look, we can escape through there."
"But it's a little high and there's a gap between the window. What if we can't make it?"
"We will. Cause I'm here." A grin crossed their confident features but when they noticed the other still had some doubts they placed their hand on their shoulder. "Plus, we have those special classes with mom and dad. I know we can do it."
The hesitant one looked down at their trembling hands in thought as if going over if it was worth the risk but remembering their parents they sucked in their lip and gave a firm nod. "Ok, let's do this."

"On three we make a break for it when their backs are turned, ok?"

A hand reached down from above them, grabbing one of the children. "Aw, leaving so soon?" The child grabbed was pulled off the ground and lifted into the air.

"Diana!" The other child shouted before they were grabbed by one of the bodyguards. "Ahh!"

"Koda! Leave my brother alone!"

"Not only do I find mutants in my factory but turtle mutants at that! Today must be my lucky day." Villa grinned at the feisty turtle girl swinging her arms around while glaring daggers at her with their blue and brownish red eyes. "Let go of us before I make you regret it!"

"What should we do with them?" Drake asked, staring at the frightened boy making it curl up and cower, trying to hide from his gaze and covering his purple eyes.

"Throw them in a cage. We'll keep them as leverage if 'they' ever show up."
"And if they don't?"

Villa stared down at the girl who had stopped struggling but was continuing to glare at her. "Target practice."

Diana grunted in pain when her shell made contact with the bars of the cage before sitting up just when her smaller brother was thrown in next, he landing on top of her.
"Ow." She hissed, rubbing her head but stopped when she heard Koda whimpering underneath her. "Koda?"
"I n-ne-never should o-of of came here wi-with you!" He cried while trying to wipe away his tears but they wouldn't stop. "I-I'm I'm scared we won't we won't see our f-f-family again. I wanna go home!"

Diana stared down at her little brother, lowering her gaze in sadness and turned away pulling her knees to her chest. Hearing her brother crying, and knowing it was all her fault was beginning to bring tears in her eyes. She squeezed her eyelids tight, trying to stop them from coming, but it only made it worse, her lip now beginning to quiver. The man with the yellow eyes picked up the cage and set them behind some crates just as a delivery truck backed up to the loading area; Phase One of Villa's operation commencing.

Outside the factory two shadowed figures were taking out the lone guards that were patrolling the area, dragging them out of view and in to the darkened void of the shadows where they wouldn't be found. One ran up the wall climbing to the roof while the other separated to take care of the other side, eventually meeting on top.

"Looks like our sources were correct." The first figure stated, looking down into the Fortune Cookie factory then to their partner.

"Did you every doubt our friends?" A grin crossed their face when their eyes met only to disappear when they turned back to mission at hand. "Ah, the Fortune Cookie Factory. Brings back way too many unpleasant memories." They groaned while lifting their head back some at just the thought of said memories.

"And it's been fixed up too but I don't think this is where they're making the anti-mutant weapons. Looks like they got rid of most of the equipment." The first one said while looking through binoculars to get a closer look at the crates, then zoomed in on Villa and Drake. "Speaking of memory lane," They handed the binoculars over to see for themselves.

"Villa and Drake? This out to be interesting."
"You know that's not how you pronounce her name, right?"
"Looks like she's got some extra help too." Ignoring their question they began taking notice that there were more people on the inside loading the truck. "Wonder if they ever took my advance on dating each other."
"Should we ask them?"
"The only way I know how." Their grin was back as they reached into their back pouch and pulled out some ninja stars, the other one doing the same and ran ahead thinking they were right behind. Moving to follow they stopped short though hearing some shouting from inside, the voices sounding very familiar, and leaned forward to listen closely.
"Come on, hurry up." The one ahead of them whispered loud enough for them to hear.
Sighing, they nodded and ran after them.

"Shut it, you two, or the twins will be having turtle soup for dinner!" Villa glared in the direction of her 'guests' then looked back at the work in front of her, a smile on her face, watching as Drake and her bodyguards were halfway through getting the crates loaded when her radio went off. She sighed and held it up, pressing the button. "Speak."

"Ma'am, our men have suddenly vanished. We can't find them anywhere." One of her goons said through the radio.
This caused Villa's smile to disappear. "Explain."
"I mean, we had fifteen men and now it's just three of us."
"They couldn't have up and left! I don't pay you morons to-" Her eyes widened when she heard the goon yell out in surprise and suddenly go quiet. She clicked her tongue against her teeth and dropped her radio. "Drake! Load up what you have now! We're lea-"

The sound of an object flying through the air had Villa on guard when a ninja star stabbed into the controls for the lights, causing the whole factory to black out.

The bodyguards and loaders dropped the crates in their hands, bringing out their weapons and flashlights, Drake doing the same. All of them were scoping the area while keeping their guns ready when they suddenly heard a pained yell off to the side, a shadow snagging one of the loaders and taking them into the darkness. All of them instantly began firing in that spot til Drake held his arm up for them to stop. One of the twin bodyguards moved their flashlight, shinning it in the darkness to see they had killed one of their own.

"~Villa and Drake sittin' in a tree.~" Could be heard in the darkness along with the sound of painful contact and grunts or shouts of pain.

Villa gritted her teeth while Drake's cheeks tinted slightly but he stayed focused. Drake took a deep breath and listened closely while their enemy continued to sing. When he pinpointed their voice he moved his weapon in the direction and fired causing the voice to let out a startled yell.

Villa snapped her fingers and soon the backup generator powered on lighting the whole room again. Villa's brows knitted together, her eyes darkening in hatred when she saw who exactly had intervened with their plans; "Kara and Donatello Hamato." She spat out, venom dripping with each name.

Kara stood up straight, standing 5'9, holding an unconscious goon in her arm. Scars from past battles and fights decorated her muscular arms, letting the limp body drop to the ground, right next to her bare feet that were mostly covered by her baggy, black cargo pants, flexing her gloved hand. She tilted her head back some, her short black hair following the slight movement, a wide grin forming on her full lips at the pleasant introduction. "I see you've kept yourself busy, Villa. How-"
"'Vee-ya'! My name is pronounced 'Vee-ya'! How many times am I gonna have to tell you before you get it right?!" Villa raged clenching her hands in front of her as if she were ready to strangle Kara.

Her uncovered blue eye blinked then rolled to the side as if contemplating the answer while scratching the scar on the bridge of her nose but shrugged her broad shoulder; attention back to Villa. "Until you get over it." Her grin widened hearing the enraged scream. "Now, back to business; have you two considered my idea of dating each other? I think you'd make a cute couple, well, not as cute as us." Kara pulled her 6'5 Donatello close to her side, he having to hunch over to be at her level, his head leaning against her white tank topped bosom. A weak chuckle escaped his lips at the now awkward situation he was in, his purple mask rising up slightly with the movement of her chest.

A vein was pulsing on Villa's forehead staring at the two, her cheeks red from a combination of embarrassment and rage. Snapping her head towards Drake who was openly staring at the two lovebirds, his cheeks glowing, then turned to her bodyguards who were snickering at them. "Don't just stand there, attack!" She barked. The bodyguard on the left shook their head to collect their thoughts and ran at the two to attack, pulling out a glowing red blade hidden in his coat pocket.
Kara squinted her eyes at the blade figuring it had been designed to hold the anti-mutant serum like a poisoned dagger. She smirked at the man and in one swift motion she shoved Donnie away as he went to strike, this receiving a yell from her husband, and side stepped out of the way with a small spin, bringing out her own blades.
The second bodyguard and Drake moved to attack next, going for Donnie.

Villa narrowed her eyes and snuck off while they began to their fight.

Diana moped in the corner of the cage listening to her little brother's sniffling and whimpering til she couldn't take it anymore. "Ok, I get it! It's my fault! I'm sorry! Is that what you want to hear? I. Am. Sorry." She flailed her arms while standing up, glaring at her crying brother.

"Shut it, you two, or the twins will be having turtle soup for dinner!"

Diana heard the evil lady shout making her pout and drop back down in her corner. "It's not like I knew this would happen." She glanced back at her brother and sighed before crawling over to him and placed her arm around his back and pulled him to her side. "It'll be ok. I'll find a way to get us out of here."
"How? We don't have anything to pick the lock, not that we know how either, and our shells are keeping us from sliding between the bars. Just face it, we're doomed." Koda looked away from his sister. Now that he had finished crying he was getting angry. She looked at him in surprise before narrowing her eyes and standing up, gripping the bars with her small hands and began thrashing around, pulling at the bars to try and make a gap wide enough for them to escape from.
After a couple of seconds hearing her grunt and yell Koda glanced at her wondering what she hoped to accomplish. "How long are you gonna do that before you know it's hopeless? You're just gonna get sleepy."
"I...have to...try something!" She shoved her weight against the bars and blinked when it tilted. She froze for a second and did it again. When it moved ever so slightly she began to smile. "I think I have an idea." She looked at her brother who stood up as well. "If we use our bodies to flip the cage over we can escape like in that cartoon Uncle Mikey watches with us. We just have to time the sound with the bad guys dropping the crates. Ooooh, I'm so smart!"
Koda looked at her before his face fell at her logic. "Then what? We will still be trapped in the cage."
Diana snapped her head in his direction and grabbed at his head. "Act now. Think later. Now, follow my lead." Koda groaned but since it was better than nothing he followed her lead, backing up to the bars behind them. "On three we both charge and tackle. One. Two. Thr-"

Suddenly the lights turned off which stopped the kids from moving and they began to look around wondering what happened. Something was happening but the crates were blocking their view, only able to hear gunfire and shouts. Diana grabbed Koda's arm, keeping him close.
"What's going on?" Koda whispered holding onto his sister's arm.

"~Villa and Drake sittin' in a tree~" They heard someone sing in the darkness. Both kid's blinked in surprise and when the backup power came on they looked at each other in shock. "Mom?"

"Kara and Donatello Hamato."

"Mom and dad. We're saved!" Diana smiled excitedly, hugging her giggling brother while their parent's and the bad guys talked to each other. "We just have to make ourselves vi-vi-so they can see us and we'll be home in no time. We just have to think of something cool to catch their attention." Diana placed her hand to her chin, smirking at the ideas flooding her mind unaware that the fighting had started.
"We don't have time for that. They could finish the fight and leave before your stupid brain even comes up with an idea."
"Hey, I came up with the idea to roll the cage, didn't I?"
"Yeah, after how long? Hours."
"You're being over dramanic." Diana crossed her arms, sticking her tongue out at him.

"I have an idea."

They gasped and leaned against the bars to see Villa glaring down at them before lifting the cage up with surprising strength and dropping it on the top of a crate. She pulled out a hidden pistol that was etched with glowing red designs.

Koda's eyes widened and he turned around where his parent's were fighting and reached his arm out towards them.

Kara danced around the twin avoiding his colorful blade while backing up towards a wall. She had to hand it to him, he was fast and his blade was well cared for, already feeling the sting of cut flesh on her arms where she didn't react fast enough to block his knife with her own, blood visibly sliding out of the wounds. She closed her eyes once her back touched the wall and brought her arms up to shield her face. She internally rolled her eyes, feeling the twin's smirk as he twirled the blade in his hand, grasping it like an icepick and raising it high in a stabbing motion but just as he was about to lower his arm down he suddenly moved his arm outward in a wide circle, spinning his weapon between his fingers and gripped it tight moving to stab her in her side.

Keeping her eyes closed she caught his wrist mere inches from her side. Her muscles flexed as she tightened her grip while pulling his arm up and bent it uncomfortably to where he would let go of the weapon, the clanking of the weapon hitting the floor reaching her ears, and then slammed the lower part of her palm into nose, sending him stumbling backwards. "Did you just?!" The twin was in shock of her using such an amateur move holding his now broken and bleeding nose. Before she could respond though she was immediately on top of him, punching him across the face his body dropping to the floor, his head making contact first which instantly knocked him out cold. "Yes, I did." She said with a raised brow then let out a sigh looking towards Donnie.
Of course, with his fighting skills and his upgraded steel bo staff deflecting Drake's bullets and blocking the other twin's identical weapon it didn't seem like her help was needed but she wanted to go home. Moving to join in on the fight she began to take a step towards them when a sound, a cry for help, echoed throughout the factory, reaching hers and everyone's ears.

"MOMMY!"

Kara slowly turned her head in the direction it came from her pupils shrinking in horror to see her two children locked in a cage with Villa pointing a gun point blank at a crying Koda reaching out to her who was being held by a trembling Diana.

"You will not move another step, Kara, or I can't guarantee this little offspring of yours will survive a bullet to the head."

Kara's eyes slowly trailed up to Villa, her shoulder's tensing up and her hands clenched tight to the point her knuckles her white. "You wouldn't da-"

"Don't try me, Kara! This has gone on long enough! You will not stop me from completing my plans. This is a human world and every mutant stupid enough to think we can live in peace deserves to die." Villa's wide, crazed eyes trailed over to Donnie; flashbacks of her father driving himself to insanity from the turtle's destroying his high end life and ignoring her and her mother to the point they had lived in poverty most of her life. "Starting with you." She pointed the gun at Donnie who stood frozen with his bo staff held in a defensive position and fired. A wide smile etched her face as her finger pulled the trigger only to gasp when the bullet zoomed right through him, hitting the twin in the shoulder instead.

He yelled out in pain, falling to the floor as his blood pooled out of the wound.

"WHAT?!" Villa's eyes widened in shock, staring at Donatello only to see his figure glitch and fade out. She took a step back mouthing the words, "a hologram?" only for her back to hit a solid wall. She blinked when it registered that she hit something and quickly turned around to see Donatello looming over her from the shadows, his eyes completely white. She screamed and went to fire but he grabbed the gun and pulled her arm upwards which caused her to stumble into him yanking the gun away and out of her reach, tossing it to Kara who caught it with ease, before grabbing her throat and lifting her off the ground. She gagged while struggling to get free, kicking at his plastron and made the mistake of looking into his eyes. Her own were wide in fear when she saw nothing; no emotion, no life, nothing.

Kara aimed the weapon at Drake. "Don't move." She said in a low, murderous tone, slightly turning her head to him, her eyes still wide but now seething with anger. All Drake could do was comply til he heard Villa let out a startled noise. He went to move but froze when Kara fired, the bullet grazing his cheek. "Don't. Move." She raised her voice some, her warning now getting to him only to jump when Villa was thrown at their feet.

Villa started coughing trying to get her breath back while rubbing her sore neck only to let out another noise when Kara stomped her foot on her back, forcing her back on the ground. "You will not move either." Kara glared down at the woman before lifting her eyes up watching as Donnie slammed his bo staff on the lock, breaking it off completely and put away his weapon before opening the door and his arms as his kids jumped into them, crying and calling out to their dad. All he could do was hold them close, letting them air out their feelings. "Come on, let's go home." He gently kissed the top of each of their heads and turned to leave.

Koda looked at his mom's back and reached out for her, wanting to be with her too but Donnie gently shushed him, glancing Kara's way to see her still in place, knowing she was waiting for him to get them to safety. "Don't worry, mommy has to punish the bad guys for trying to hurt you. Remember, she's very strong so she will be ok."
"Yeah! Did you see how cool she was back there!?" Diana now in the comfort of her dad instantly felt better and was smiling up at him making him chuckle as they left the area.

Once she could no longer hear their voices Kara closed her eyes while lowering the gun, removing the ammo clip and tossed both in opposite directions. "So, you guys thought it would be a good idea to not only lock my babies in a cage like animals..but use them as hostages against Donnie and I?" As she was talking to them in a calm manner she stepped over Villa making her let out a grunt of pain, her back to them both, all the while cracking her knuckles. "So, was it a good idea?" She turned around to face them as Drake helped Villa to her feet. "Because here are the results of said idea..." She inhaled sharply through her nose and in an instant her eyes had gone completely white with rage and if it wasn't for the fear in their eyes it looked as if she was surrounded by fire. "I'M GONNA BEAT YOU TO AN INCH OF YOUR LIFE FOR MESSING WITH MY FAMILY." She charged at the two, yelling in rage while the two, plus the twin on the ground, who had been completely ignored, holding his bleeding wound, screamed bloody murder.

After the onslaught Kara called the police while leaving the factory. Hanging up the phone she looked up at the building in front of her and placed her bare foot on the wall, a visible sheen shining in the lone lamppost light and began to climb the wall to the roof til she pulled herself up to the fire exit and began climbing the stairs. Reaching the top in time for the police to arrive she watched the officers surround the building, humans and mutants alike, apprehending the bloody and beaten crew of Villa Visioso. She closed her eyes and let out another sigh only to blink hearing her children call to her.

"Mommy!" Koda and Diana ran to her but was stopped by Donnie.
"Hold on, kids, let me take care of mommy's injuries first." Donnie walked up to her while putting on some surgical gloves from his pouch remembering the anti-mutant serum inside the blade and began to treat her wounds while their kids hugged her legs instead. She looked down at them, smiling softly before grinning happily with a tear in her eye knowing they were safe.

Once her arms were patched up she immediately scooped her kid's in her arms and hugged them tight. "Oooo, my babies are ok." She smothered them in kisses which made Koda giggle happily at how it tickled while Diana tried to make her stop but was secretly enjoying it, smiling at the love.

Donnie smiled at them while removing his gloves before crossing his arms and looking at them. "What were you two doing in the factory? Way past your bedtime, might I add." He raised his brow when Kara froze realization hitting her like a brick and stared at them waiting for an answer.

Diana fidgeted nervously glancing over at Koda. Remembering how scared and frightened he was she sighed and lowered her head. "It's my fault. I've been sneaking out for about a month now while you, dad, and our uncles would go out and work. I found out about the factory one night and thought it was aba-aba-"
"Abandoned." Donnie corrected.
"Yeah, that, and I got lonely so I got Koda to come with me to play. I'm really sorry.." She gripped the top of her plastron tears in her eyes as she remembered the danger they were in. "I won't sneak out anymore. I promise."

Kara and Donnie looked down at Diana then to each other before Donnie grabbed Koda, holding him in his arms.

"Let's go home." Was all Kara said and they ran off.

Koda glanced worriedly at Diana who was starting to grow more nervous wondering if their parent's were mad at her for putting her younger brother in danger.

Entering their second home, the Lair, Kara walked into the living room to see Leatherhead curled up, napping, with a sleeping teenager lounging on him like a chair with a book open over their eyes, and a sleeping baby reptile turtle hybrid with light yellow, almost white, spots on the top of their head, elbows, knees, and tail with a barely visible turtle shell on their back on the teenager's stomach with their arm around them. The TV was showing infomercials of a pan that could be used as a radio.

Donnie walked over to the dogpile, gently picking up the hybrid child, making sure not to wake her up and took them to their parent's room while Kara walked up to Leatherhead and the teenager. She set Diana on the couch before picking the book up, closing it, and slammed it on the ground as hard as she could, startling the teenager and scaring the oversized mutant awake.

"Huh? What the?" The teenager looked up with tired brown eyes and froze in fear seeing a disturbingly angered Kara making him lean into Leatherhead to get as far from her as he could, rubbing his scarlet red hair trying to act nonchalant. "Heh. So I guess tonight went well?"
"Zach."
"Yes, ma'am?" He gulped.
"Where are the kids?"
"What do you mean, they're ri-" He froze when none of them were in his lap. His eyes were as wide as saucers, immediately hopping off Leatherhead, who stood up as well, worried for them. "We were all watching a movie and they fell asleep first!" Zach's voice began to get high in panic knowing what Kara was capable of, his life already flashing before his eyes but blinked when he saw Diana on the couch, snickering at him.

Leatherhead sighed in relief and picked her up, she hugging him til Zach began to panic about the other two.
Kara sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose, this no longer being funny. "They're fine. Donnie took them to his old room while I talk with you. Leatherhead, I expected better of you to watch over our children." Kara looked at him, who slouched his shoulders, lowering his head. "I'm sorry, Kara. I didn't mean-"
"It's not any of their faults. It's mine." Diana spoke up not liking Leatherhead to get in trouble. "I snuck out while they were all asleep. I made sure not to make a sound or nothing. They were good sitters. As always." Diana glanced up at her mom who began to relax their shoulders and sigh. "Fine. Leatherhead, take Zach home, Raph should be back soon as well. We'll discuss what we discovered with you and the rest of the Mutanimal's tomorrow. Right now, I just want to relax."

Leatherhead and Zach nodded before going to say goodbye to the kid's, Leatherhead giving her cheek a quick nuzzle, making her smile, and left. When it was just her and Diana she sat down next to her, pulling her to her side.
Diana looked up at her mom noticing she looked sad. "I really am sorry mom.." She lowered her head thinking she was still upset at her.

"I wanted to teach you two when you were a little older that the world isn't such a bad place.. but it's not good either. I wanted to wait for the right time, when you had more knowledge and training, to take you outside and show you the world our family had helped to make. I wish you didn't have to see firsthand..what your father and I deal with from time to time. That you didn't have to see me like that." Kara scrunched her nose remembering their frightened faces and the rage that followed before placing her hand over her eyes wondering if her children were scared of her.
"Mommy?" Diana reached up for her arm and pulled her hand away from her face only to blink in shock to see her mother crying. Diana crawled into her lap, sitting up on her knees and moved her bangs out of her face to see both her eyes and grabbed her head, pulling her down so their foreheads were touching. Kara placed her hands over her daughter's giving them a gentle squeeze. "I just want to protect you but I can't do that if you sneak off to the surface alone."
Diana rubbed away the tears with her tiny hands and nodded her head. "I understand."
"Good. Cause you're grounded." Kara hopped to her feet, wrapping her arms around the little child before they could fall from the sudden movement, grinning, which made her daughter do a double take. "Wait, what?" "Two weeks." Kara walked towards the bathroom where Donnie was running a bath for the two, having finished his talk with Koda. "And don't worry, you'll have company cause Koda is grounded too." All Koda could do was sigh and lower his head in defeat knowing this was gonna happen sooner or later.

After giving the kid's a bath and sending them off to bed it was Kara's turn to shower then Donnie. Once changed into her nightclothes she laid in bed scrolling through her phone idly before setting it down with a sigh. Scratching her fresh bandages absentmindedly her mind began to wander to when it would be a good time to bring her children up to the outside world. She closed her eyes and sighed again, not paying attention to when Donnie came through the door wearing his nightpants and began putting away his weapon and mask.

"Well, Raph is back. He said they may have a lead of who is manufacturing the Anti-Mutagen." Donnie glanced her way noticing her spaced out expression and walked over laying down next to her and pulled her close to him. "Thinking about anything in particular?" He asked gently.

"How long was it til Splinter let you and your brothers go up to the surface?" With slight movement of her head she glanced at him curiously.
He chuckled, looking up while reminiscing his childhood. "Honestly? The day we first met. Having to take care of four mutant babies with an unknown enemy I'm not surprised he took precautions but things have changed. They won't have to deal with what we had to go through growing up."
Kara rolled on top of Donnie laying on his stomach, a worried expression etched on her face. "Are we doing the right thing? We got lucky tonight but..what if we weren't? Diana is too curious and excited to stay down here, she's getting crafty too. Ugh, I'm proud of her yet this situation disturbs me." She buried her head in his plastron.
All Donnie could do was rub her head and listen til a thought came to mind. "You know, I think I have a solution to this." Kara slowly lifted her head as he explained his idea and a smile began to grow on her face. "Why didn't I think of that?! Donnie, you really are a genius." She smiled brighter before leaning down and giving him a kiss on the lips as a reward, which he gladly received.

Donnie wrapped his arms around her waist, she now deepening the kiss. When she pulled away for a breath they stared into each other's eyes for a moment before continuing their make out session, Donnie's hands slowly traveling up her back, bringing her shirt along with them. She sat up again, lifting her arms to remove her shirt when she froze for a second before throwing herself on to the ground, with a loud thud, her groans of pain being muffled by the floor.

Donnie sat up wondering what had gotten into her when the door slowly opened with Koda poking his head into the room, holding a Mario Yoshi toy. "Mommy? Daddy?" His quiet voice called out. Donnie hung his head, sighing in relief, glancing down at Kara who slowly sat up, holding her phone triumphantly. "There it is! Haha!" She said rather loudly, looking out of it making Donnie deapan.

"What is it, Koda?" Donnie asked while Kara picked herself up.

"I-I can't sleep. I'm scared." Koda squeezed the plush, it making a soft "Yoshi" sound, looking at the ground with tears in his eyes. He closed his eyes only to open them immediately seeing the yellow eyed man's gaze. "Can I s-sleep with you tonight?"

Donnie and Kara looked at each other knowing it must be because of what happened. "Of course, sweetie." Kara answered, holding her arms out.

Koda smiled and walked up to the bed, first tossing the Yoshi toy, then climbed up himself, his little feet kicking to give himself some momentum before crawling in his mom's arms. Donnie hugged his wife and child as Koda nuzzled into his parent's warmth when they all heard a knock on the door. Looking in it's direction they saw Diana dragging her favorite blanket, a light blush on her face yet with a nervous look.

Seeing Koda already there she lowered her head, gently kicking the ground with her foot. "I..don't wanna sleep by myself." Seeing her parent's nod was all it took for her to run to the bed and climb in to with little to no trouble, crawling next to her brother.

Both parents made room for their kids and began to lay down. Diana blinked when her brother curled up close to her making her smile some and place her blanket over both of them.

Once everyone was comfortable Donnie moved his arm over his kids, Kara placing hers on top of his, and without thinking began to sing:

"Ask not the sun why she sets,
Why she shrouds her light away.
Or why she hides her glowing gaze,
When night turns crimson gold to gray.
For silent falls the guilty sun,
As day to dark does turn.
One simple truth she dare not speak,
Her light can only blind and burn.

Koda and Diana were staring up in awe at her singing voice but soon the awe turned to tired and it wasn't long til they fell asleep to their mother's voice and their parent's warmth.

Donnie glanced up at Kara with a tired smile going to sleep not long after them.

Kara watched over her family; Her husband who she never thought would be interested in her, or have at all, and her two kids.
After the first attempt of natural reproduction, which almost cost her her life, she figured she would never be able to have children of her own til they were on vacation at a beach and spotted two baby sea turtles who were about to get eaten by a group of seagulls; if she hadn't intervened.
Stroking Koda's head while she reminisced the past was soothing her mind to the point she had fallen asleep, instinctively moving her arm around her kids and giving them a gentle squeeze.

"So my kid, Chompy, and I will finally have this place to ourselves? It's about time." Raph chuckled while playing with the kids so Kara and Donnie could make breakfast, the kids giggling and dangling from his left muscles while he held a baby Irrilia in his right arm as they chewed on the ends of their mask, looking up at him with yellow, reptilian eyes, obviously from her mother's genes with a panting and a size of an adult tortoise Chompy chewing on one his toys that was close to reaching it's final days close to the family, the kids now going to him to play with.

"Psh, as if. You're not getting rid of us that easily." She smirked, giving him a sideways glance before going back to flipping pancakes. "Since things aren't like they use to be...maybe it's time to bring the kids to the surface and have them live a somewhat normal life." Kara brought a large stack of pancakes to the table, setting it down. "I still have the apartment under my name so we can start living there again."

"And there's no way I'm letting you take over my lab." Donnie said from behind them, making the eggs. "We'll just be..visiting...everyday."

Raph gave them a deadpan look. "So what's the point of leaving then?"

"Ok, kids, go wash up for breakfast. It's almost ready." Donnie said while plating the pile of eggs, Kara making the bacon behind them.
"Ok, dad!" Koda and Diana shouted in unison before climbing off their uncle and racing each other to the bathroom
"So, what's the real reason this is all happening?" Raph asked, giving them a look.

Kara and Donnie looked at each other before explaining what happened last night.

After breakfast Kara was waiting for the kids to clean up, looking over their wall of memories they had moved to the Dojo.
Alongside the photo of her Master Hamato Yoshi as a human with Tang Shen and baby Miwa was a photo of the whole gang back in their younger days with April O'Neil and Casey Jones, a newspaper article of Sara saving her fans from faulty stage equipment landing on them with her mutant powers, a photo of Brilliance in her famous nightclub, and a photo of a late Mona Lisa. She sighed softly wondering if Raph was keeping himself occupied by going out a being a sorta vigilante to distract himself from her passing. It only being several months since her last, glorious battle. She stared down at the scars on her arms and body knowing that mutants, aliens, and humans could share the same cruelty in a fight and underestimating either of them would, no, could be fatal. Heck, one of her worst enemies started off human.

Hearing the door open she turned around to face Donnie with their children right behind him.

"Sit." She said softly to the children, Donnie walking over to her and sitting down by her side while their kids sat across from them.

"I think it's about time we trained you in the art of Ninjitsu."
"And Kick boxing."

"We're going to start with the basics til you're comfortable enough to find a weapon that not only fits your fighting style but who you are on the inside." Donnie explained while bringing out a bluish-gray bandana, laying it before the kids. Kara pulled the cap off her head and set it down next to the bandana.
The kids looked down at the pieces of clothing, the cap in front of Diana and the bandana in front of Koda.
"Whichever you choose we will train you in our arts."
"And once you've gotten the hang of it then we will switch out and then you will learn to become a team." Kara stared down at her kids as they looked at the options presented before them. "You don't need to make the choice now. We will not force this on either of you." She was close to changing her mind and waiting another year or two thinking this was too big of a responsibility for them only to blink in surprise when Koda reached out and grabbed the cap, putting it on while Diana grabbed the bandana and wrapped it around her head like a headband. She closed her eyes with a smile, internally smacking herself for doubting her kids. "Koda, you've chosen my very stylish cap that also is a treasure to me. I've noticed you tend to get scared quite easily and close your eyes a lot. What if I told you there was a technique that was taught to me by your grandpa, Hamato Yoshi?"
"Wait, you don't mean.." Koda stared up at her with wide eyes.
"Yes, I'm going to train you how to fight blind." Kara grinned at him.

"I wanna trade!" Diana shouted making Donnie chuckle and turn her attention back to him while adjusting the headband, tying it so it wouldn't slip or come undone. "In due time, Diana. You, on the other hand, will be trained in the art of stealth and invisibility through the shadows. You are going to be a ninja."
Donnie smirked in pride when Diana's protest quickly turned over as she stared up at him in awe.

Kara closed her eyes while snickering at her family before standing up. "Well, then, let's get started." Keeping her eyes shut she saw two figures appearing in front of the entrance to the lair and immediately recognized them. "Well, what do you know, they showed up."
"Who?" Donnie and the kids asked.
"Dragan and Leo." Kara smirked while tilting her head. "And they brought little guests."
"Oh no...you don't mean.." Donnie's pupil's shrunk in horror, grabbing at his mask, eye's darting around the room already hearing the little monster's giggles.

Diana jumped in excitement to see her friends and ran out to greet them. Koda's eyes lit up along with his cheeks. "She's here too?" Koda asked while walking up to his mom and gently grabbing her pant leg.

Kara lowered her head, opening her eyes to him with a bright smile on her face. "Why, yes, she is." Koda pressed his head into her leg trying to hide his giddy smile making Kara clench her fists and scream internally at her adorable baby.

"Ma friends, it's good to see you again."

The End. I had quite a lot of fun writing this. Now, to not overstimulate you all I didn't add everyone in this last chapter cause it made me feel like it was cramped..hard to explain but anyways, Irrilia is the daughter of Raph and Mona Lisa and she isn't my creation but that of Myrling on Deviantart. She draws comics of the turtles as tots, Irrilia growing up and even has her own TMNT comic. I definitely recommend checking her out (I would post the website but you can't do that here for some reason. Anyways, this has been a blast so until we meet again in a week or so...oops. Said too much ;3
