Aaaaaand we are back once again readers with the last chapter for the day, welcoming in the new year.

Ryder's POV:
I woke up the next morning and I looked at my watch and it showed 5 am. I tried to go back to sleep but it was no use. After rolling in bed for 10 minutes I then got up and started getting my gear on. Once I got on my gear, I walked out of my room and I did not see any of the pups up yet.
I then decided to go make some breakfast. As I got started making breakfast, I heard footsteps enter the mess hall I turned to see Officer John and Lucky walk into the kitchen.
"Couldn't fall back asleep?" I asked
"Yep, too much in my head." Officer John said
"Same here" Lucky said
"Want to help make some breakfast?" I asked them
"Sure" they both said, "what are we making?" Officer John asked
"I think it would be a buffet-style with eggs, bacon, hash browns, biscuits and sausage gravy, and pancakes. Luckily, I found a machine that has orange juice, chocolate milk, and lemonade" I said
"Sounds awesome." Officer John said as he started on the bacon.
"I'll get started on the pancakes" Lucky said
We had almost everything done when I heard footsteps again in the hall. I looked up from the hash browns and saw Chase walking up in his gear.
"Good morning chase, breakfast will be ready real soon" I said
"Cool, I'm hungry" he said walking over to a table and setting his stuff on it. Once I finished the hash browns, Officer John and I set up the buffet and as if a bell went off the others started streaming in. Marshall, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, and Tracker walked in chatting. A few minutes after them came Lance, Cooper, and Cody.
After everyone got some food Officer John, Lucky, and I then got some food. Once we were done then we got to work. People and dogs were running around grabbing anything that they needed, groups were meeting and going over individual plans.
Our groups entered the meeting room and I pulled up a holographic map of the mansion. "Alright everyone let's quickly go over our plan. We are going to be flying to the mansion in ospreys, they are going to be cloaked so they will not be able to see us or hear us coming. We are going to drop in from above the complex. Lance's team will be entering from the ground to distract the guards on the grounds" I said.
"We will be dropping in on this area of the complex" I said pointing to the large field area behind the mansion "from there we will then find a way in from the back of the building. Now, this is a big building so we will be splitting into 2 groups. The first group will be Marshall, Rubble, Rocky, and Cody and the other group will be Chase, Zuma, Tracker, and me. The leaders of the groups will be Cody for one and me for the other, any questions?" I asked.
No one responded with any questions, "alright then, once we get inside the mansion, my group will go right, and Cody's group will go left. One of our objectives will be to find the leaders and capture them alive." I said putting extra emphasis on the word alive.
"Our other objective is to locate Skye and Everest and evacuate them. Once both of these are complete then we will have accomplished our mission. We need to be quick and efficient here, are we clear?" I asked the group
"Yes sir, Ryder Sir" they responded.
"Good, now grab what you need for this mission and meet out on the tarmac in 15 we leave in 20. Dismissed" I said, and the group disbursed.
After about 15 minutes I walked out onto the tarmac to see the pups standing and waiting by the fleet of 17 tactical ospreys as well as Lance and his entire regiment waiting by the ospreys. I walked up and they were all in their tactical assault gear with assault rifles at their sides.
"Alright everyone, this is it. We are going into the belly of the beast. Are you ready?" I asked over the sound of the ospreys starting up
"Hell yeah Ryder Sir!" the group screamed I raised an eyebrow at the pups but laughed
"Alright then, board your plane and get ready to go!" I ordered and the whole group dispersed and boarded their given ospreys.
While the other groups used the ospreys, the pups and I would be using the Air Patroller to make 18 aircraft. I had it upgraded and outfitted with special surprises for this mission in mind. I walked up to the Air Patroller which had been painted to match the other ospreys in the group to find Ace Sorenson walking outside of the aircraft.
"Are we all set Ace?" I asked as we got to the back door of the Air Patroller
"She is all ready to fly" she said
"You know about all of the upgrades and new gadgets installed right?" I asked
"I helped design and install them myself because I was going to be flying you in regardless." Ace stated
"Thank you for everything Ace, I can't tell you how much I apricate you doing this for us" I said.
"Anything for Skye and the Paw Patrol, now let's got take these mutts down" Ace said as she started up the ramp.
I smiled and followed her in. I walked in and the inside was changed so that the pups could hang up their gear. Each pup had an overhead compartment, places to hang their rifles, and personal seats. All of them were sitting and looked determined as I passed them. I took my seat at the front with Ace taking the pilot seat. I saw that the compartment holding their jetpacks were painted gray and had their new tactical pup tag symbols on the side and glowing, the same thing was above their heads.
"Alright pups, this will be our toughest mission ever. Are you all ready for this?" I asked as I saw the ramp door close.
Chase looked over at me "Ryder, I think I speak for all the pups when I say, we have never been more prepared for this." Chase said and the rest of the pups agreed
"Alright then, glad to hear it" I said turning to Ace
"Are we ready?" I asked as I turned around
There was a moment of silence "all groups are reporting ready Ryder, it's your call" Ace said looking at me.
I smiled and picked up my comm device "all groups, let's roll out" I ordered, Ace lifted the Air Patroller up and I watched as trucks, including the Paw Patroller, painted in black and grey assault camo with lances main team inside, pouring out of the base. As we lifted up I saw the other ospreys follow us as we took off and headed towards the base.
Hold on Skye and Everest, we are coming for you I thought as we left the base's airspace
Suddenly there was a communication for the whole invading force "good luck and stay safe everyone, see you on the other side" General Maverick said over the comms.

Chase's POV:
The flight was silent, no one uttered a word. Cody was cleaning his gun, Rocky and Zuma were listening to music, Tracker was reading, Rubble was eating some food he snuck from breakfast, Marshall was just sitting there.
"You ok Marshall?" I whispered
"Yeah Chase, I'm great" he said
"Just focused" I asked
"Yeah" he said
I reached into one of my pouches and pulled out Skye's Pup tag. It was attached to the collar I bought her. I haven't seen her wear this collar in almost a year, and it's been almost a month since she was kidnapped.
"Is that Skye's?"
Looked up to see Marshall looking at her tag "yeah, on the designer collar I bought her" I said
"I haven't seen that in a while" He whispered
"I plan to give this to her when I rescue her" I whispered
Just then I heard a shuffling and looked to see Marshall pull something out as well. It was a pup tag
"This is a new pup tag for Everest, Ryder made it not long after Everest was taken. Especially since he found her old one smashed to bits. I bought her this new collar as well. It's brand new and of the strongest material so the tag can't be ripped off." Marshall said
"It's also lavender color to match her fur and outfit." He added with a smile
"That's awesome Marshall" I whispered looking back at the pup tag
"I still can't believe it's been almost a month since Skye and Everest were taken." I whispered
"I know, I can't wait to get them back." Marshall whispered
"Me too" I said and put Skye's Tag back in my vest pocket.
I saw Marshall do the same. He looked at me and then smiled and we fist-bumped. Just then the Air Patroller started to shake.
"Hang in there back there we are going up higher." Ryder called from the front and the whole room started to tilt. I could see rubble holding on to a handle as we quickly ascended. We were climbing for about 5 minutes and then leveled out. Sorry about that everybody, had to get above the clouds." Ace called back
"Good news though you have clouds to cover your drop. Bad news though, you won't see the ground until the last minute." Ace said.
Ryder walked back by us "here, you will need this" he said putting a device on our front paws. "It's an indicator that tells you how far you are from the ground." He said as he continued to put it on each of us.
"Ryder we are approaching the drop point. I've got word the ground team is in place and ready." Ace called back. "Alright pups, gear up!" Ryder ordered. We got up and put out gear on. "Pups jet packs on!" Ryder ordered, and we all stood under the compartment holding our pup packs and a door opened under each pup tag emblem and our jet packs were lowered onto our back and then they attached and locked onto our suits.
"Equipment check pups!" Ryder called out and we all checked our vests and packs and gave the all-set signal with a bark.
"Mask up pups!" Ryder ordered and we put on oxygen masks.
"Ryder we are over the drop site" Ace called back, and a red light flooded the holding bay. "Good luck pups and return safely" Ace called back and then the door to the cockpit shut and the ramp door opened. The sky was pitch black and all we could see was the red light flashing into the dark. It seemed like an eternity but then the light turned green.
Ryder looked back "Time to ride the silk elevator pups! Go Go Go!" Ryder called out.
I took off leading the group and then I can up to the edge of the door and jumped out into the pitch black.
It Has Begun! The attack on the gang's main base and the rescue of Skye and Everest! how will it play out? who will keep cool under the stress and who will lose their cool? Who will survive and who will not? all these questions and more to be answered as this story continues!
I hope that you all enjoyed these past three chapters, they were lots of fun to write. I'm currently working on the next chapter so I'm hoping to get that out soon. I'm not sure when soon will be, but I will do my best to be more reasonable with time.
