WARNING: If you are likely confused about events that have happened in this fanfiction that didn't happen in canon, that's likely because this isn't following canon, but another story I made called 'Oh Rhonda!'. So, be wary of this fact when you read the story! If you haven't read the first 'Oh Rhonda!', please do so if possible so that you can understand what's going on. Otherwise, continue to enjoy the story!
And now, for a brand new part of this episode! Anyway, enjoy!
About a few hours later, after school had ended, after Olga picked up the girls and drove them back to the Sunset Hills Apartment, and went upstairs to Rhonda and Olga's room, the girls were gathered around a computer as Olga was humming to herself, clicking on the dial-up procedure.
"All right... we should be getting into the internet any time now." Olga said as the dial up procedure started with its various noises.
"Wouldn't it be great if this place actually updated to faster Internet speeds?" Rhonda asked as she covered her ears.
"Don't worry. I'm sure times will figure out how to make the internet faster and useful without the use of jamming people's phones! Besides, I don't think anybody's on the phone right now!" Olga called out.
Directly downstairs, Mr. Hyunh was cursing in his native language as the landline phone got jammed with Internet signals.
Back upstairs, as the computer finished loading the first screen, Olga couldn't help but give a smile as she pointed to it. The girls paused as they looked at each other, honestly confused.
"O-oh!" Olga gasped a bit before coughing. "Girls, I give you the wonders of the site I use to write the stories. Welcome, one and all, to Look's Place!"
"You write your stories here?" Rhonda asked as Olga scrolled down and clicked on a message board.
"Most times when I want to get together with my other writer friends." Olga said as she looked over the message board. "Hmmmm... seems to me there's no writing going on today..."
"You write your stories on a message board?" Rhonda asked.
"A bit of a private message board, of sorts." Olga shrugged. "I was roaming online one day and randomly found this place. Some authors who wrote some fanfictions that I liked were on it and I sent in a bit of work. It took them a while to trust my works are legit and I worked with them, since."
Rhonda, Phoebe, Nadine and Lila looked at each other as Nadine pointed out, "It sounds like more you just rammed in the middle of their session and just joined in, and they just accepted you because they saw your writing and figured you'd be useful."
"Well... I may have had to argue a little bit." Olga said. "But they accepted me for what I could do, they liked my stuff and they ask me to come together to write for their pieces whenever I came in. The head author is the one whose avatar with the pony and the three triangles next to it."
The girls blinked as they examined the computer rather carefully until they spotted the little circle with the very things Olga described. "Oh yeah. This guy is the head?"
"Well, you could say that." Olga said. "He also has his own fanfictions he does with others, but he prefers to do the ones that are more of my use. I haven't got into those big leagues yet, but when I do, I'm going to show them just how much my writing means... some of it based off a lot of real life experiences!"
Rhonda couldn't help but note Olga looking to the side a bit as she heard the words muttered by her, "Well, as weird as it sounds..."
"Well, I hope it works out for you, either way." Rhonda gave a sigh. "I hear co-writing a project can be a bit of a pain."
"Eh, he's cool with co-writing as long as I stick to what I know best, and he knows I know it best as well." Olga said.
The girls looked at each other in astonishment before turning back to Olga as Rhonda shrugged. "If you say so, but I think your works are better published, if anything. As far as we're concerned, this is just... glorified fanfiction."
"Call it what you want. Like I said, this is just a bit of a warm-up to see how my writing is going to go. I want to perfect it for... well, maybe a novel, a television screenplay... anything to get my works off the ground." Olga shrugged.
It was at that moment Lila noticed on the top corner of the screen, an envelope with an orange number one icon on the top left of it. "Oooo... say Olga, it looks like you got a message?"
"Huh?" Olga said to herself as she noticed the icon and clicked on it... before gasping. "Oh! It's from the avatar pony three triangles guy! He must have something for me!"
"What does it say?" Rhonda asked, trying to peer over Olga's shoulder.
"Hello Blonde Perfectionist 75. You have been working so hard on my past stories that I feel you're ready to take on something big for me... it's sort of almost like some of the work projects, but never before seen. Based on your favorite show and mine, I'd like you to be part of a co-writing team for a little story I like to call 'Reality Unbound in Magic Land', a crossover between an animated reality series and my favorite show that me and everyone else enjoys, 'Magic of Friends'." Olga gasped in excitement.
Rhonda raised an eyebrow. "Magic of Friends? Isn't that like, the kids show where the characters are weird, there's occasional villains and there are lessons to be learned?"
"Yeah, my friends have an unhealthy obsession with the show. I never got into it myself, but I saw a few episodes... here and there." Olga shrugged. "Either way, can you believe this?"
"It does sound too good to be true." Phoebe said. "But don't get your hopes up, they could be wanting you to do something. Maybe respond and ask him what it entails."
Olga paused as she wrote a message. "Dear..." She muttered the name. "I have thought about your offer, and thinking about it, I might have a good story that can work with detail, and I don't want it to be interfered in any way possible. If I work with you, can I tell that story from within?"
She sent the message, causing the girls to blink twice as Nadine asked, "Wait, what do you mean you already have a story planned."
"Relax. Like I said, it's based off some silly childhood story I had that probably won't be brought up again. I just want to warm up my writing skills, you know." Olga said with a smile.
"I think that would be better spent doing your own thing." Phoebe said, looking rather concerned.
"Don't worry, it's just a little project, what harm can it do?" Olga asked before she noticed an orange one. "Oh, he wrote a message back."
Olga clicked on the message and gave a nod... she then gave a smile. "The guy said yes! I can do my own thing as long as it doesn't interfere too much with the story and he's already sending me the plot synopsis for what he wants in mind... a forty character game show taking place in the land of magic, where two characters get eliminated an episode... okay, I can work with this... what if I made these characters fit into the realm of magic and they can't let the other characters from that world know about it while competing in the game show? Meanwhile, the head king is plagued with flashbacks to a time where things were simple, but a villain thought long dead is secretly hunting for an eye."
"An eye?" Rhonda asked.
"An eye, yes, yes, an eye that is said to be the world's most powerful weapon!" Olga said as she gave a gleeful giggle. "Oh, I'm already thinking up new ideas..."
The girls looked at each other in concern as Olga kept typing some messages to the person next door. They casually walked out the door, knowing Olga was too busy in her 'work' to do much talking right now.
"Well..." Rhonda gave a sigh. "Olga is about to learn that even people on the Internet can be tough to work with."
"Why's that?" Lila asked as the four started to head downstairs.
"Because as far as she knows, she doesn't know who any of these people are or if their personalities are good or... toxic." Rhonda shuddered. "I've heard some stories of the Internet's danger from Maria and Connie, how a few people act nice, but are really toxic people who demand that things go their way or else."
"Well, so far, it doesn't seem to be that way." Lila asked.
"Not yet at the moment... but something will come up... something WILL come up." Rhonda sighed as she looked down. "I have a feeling the story she WANTS to tell is going to be plagued with a LOT of interference."
And that's it for the second part of the episode! How did you guys like it? Next time, we'll be diving deep into just how Olga's new co-writing experience will affect her... both good and both bad. Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, folks!
