Portia

A new physician had come to Port Charles to help Kim in her practice. Since Kim and I were dating, my care had been transferred to the new doctor. "Hello, Dr. Robinson," I said when she walked in to preform my ultrasound.

Portia smiled. "Hi, Arielle and Kim. How are you both doing today?"

"We're great," Kim said as she squeezed my hand.

"Are you two eager to see this little baby?" Portia inquired.

I looked into Kim's eyes and saw happiness there. Somehow, someway, I had managed to come to terms with my pregnancy, even if it defied all explanation. No more solid memories had returned other than the ones I had already divulged. I was eager for the future; a future with Kim.

"Yes, I can't wait to see him... or her," I said.

We didn't know yet. It was a mystery, but we were about to find out our little one's gender. Kim had promised to help me raise my baby. We knew we'd have to get a bigger apartment, but we were eager to start our lives together.

A few minutes later, we got the joyous news. "It's a little girl," Portia announced happily as we listened to the miraculous sound of my child's heartbeat.

I saw the tears glistening in Kim's eyes; such beautiful eyes I found myself lost in. "I always wanted a daughter," she said in a whisper. "Our little Angel."

"That's what we'll call her. We'll name her Angel," I said, my forehead pressed against Kim's as we basked in the beauty of the moment.

"You two are so lucky. Your little angel is healthy and strong," Portia stated. "Girls are great. I should know. I have one of my own. Trina's the best."

"Let's go home now and tell Oscar the good news," Kim said to me eagerly.
