Blackwood – Chapter 11

Aidan's POV
A few months have gone by since Tyler and I left Mystic Falls, we went to the Appalachian Mountains. Tyler turned about a hundred times, breaking his bones over, and over, and over…. It was painful to watch. Tyler says he doesn't feel the sire-bond anymore, well, let's hope so… because he wants to go back to Mystic Falls for Caroline. Honestly, I don't want to go back… I don't want to face Klaus or face whatever feelings that I have for him and maybe I'm just tired of Mystic Falls and the drama it brings. But I can't leave Tyler there by himself.
We're back in Mystic Falls, Tyler rendezvouses with Caroline somewhere. I go to the Mystic Grill and sit at the bar, I order a non-alcoholic drink, unfortunately. I nurse for my drink for awhile until I hear a familiar voice "Hello, love." They whisper into my ear, it's Klaus. I try to make a hasty escape but an arm wraps around and pulls me into a hard chest "Going somewhere, love?" Klaus questions. I don't answer him but I am ready to attack him if I need to "Nothing to say?" He asks, I still don't answer him "You disappeared months ago, just about the same time Tyler did. Tell me, is he back in town too?" He asks. I still have nothing to say "Well, you promised me a date." Klaus states, "I did." I say "It's- it's still on the table if you want." I add blushing slightly. Klaus chuckles into my ear, I shiver a little. "Of course, but it will have to wait. I'm dealing with some family drama at the moment." He tells me, letting me go. I sigh "That's… too bad." I say a little disappointed.
A long silence between us "So, what's this family drama that you're dealing with?" I ask him. Klaus tells me that he got all his coffins back except one when I left town, him and Stefan Salvatore had a grudge match that messed up everyone's lives. Klaus tries to call a truce between The Salvatores but that didn't work out because Damon undaggered Elijah, then he undaggered the rest of The Original Family. Oh, and that one coffin that Klaus never got was magically sealed then opened, it had Klaus' Mom, her name is Esther. And his Mom talked about wanting to be a family again but that was a lie, she just wanted to kill her entire family by linking them with some sort of spell… that's insane but ultimately, she failed. Klaus and his Family were still linked, Elena and her gang found some kind of special wood that can kill an Original, called White Oak.
That would've been nice to have to know, but I don't feel killing Klaus… at the moment. Anyway, Klaus somehow unlinked himself and his family from Esther's spell but not before his Older Brother Finn got staked by Elena's gang "Sorry, about your Brother." I tell him like it's somehow my fault. Klaus smile a little "Thanks." He says. Also, hours after Finn got killed his entire sire-line died with him. So, that means every vampire sired to The Originals will die if they die… so, that means Tyler… could die. I guess killing Klaus is definitely out of the question.
The next day, everyone was getting ready for some school dance that's happening tonight. I haven't decided whither or not if I'm going to go. I decide to stay in bed all day, it has been a while since I slept in an actual bed, so I'm going to enjoy it while I can. I slept all day into the night. I wake up getting out of bed and go outside to get some night time air. Too many things on mind and Klaus…. ah, Klaus, making feel… something towards him, no matter how much I try to deny it. I go back inside to my room and text Emory to come over. I have come to a decision… I am going to leave Mystic Falls, for good this time. There's just so much drama and baggage here, it feels like I haven't really been living since I got here. I'm going to ask Emory to take me wherever he goes, to travel… I guess. I just… don't want to be here anymore.
I hear noises downstairs… that can't be Emory, I take a peek downstairs and see a bunch of armed deputies… okay, that's not good. I go back upstairs to my room and leap out of my window. I ran as fast as I can through the woods until I reach the Old Lockwood Cellar, I text Emory again 'Don't come to the mansion' and 'To find me'. I enter the cellar and find a crispy burned body in a coffin… it's Klaus, what the hell… "Aidan?" A Familiar Voice calls out, I turn around "Tyler?" I say back. Tyler smirks when he sees me, that smirk is really familiar. I look at Tyler, something is different about him then I look back at Crispy Klaus… I don't how I put two and two together "Klaus." I growl. 'Tyler' grins "Hello, love." He says, I grimace in disgust "Don't… say that in my Cousin's voice." I tell him. 'Tyler' starts to walk towards me as I back away "Ah, come any closer and I'll knock you." I threaten. He stops "Come now, is that anyway to speak to your Cousin." He taunts. I growl again "Klaus, I swear to—if you don't get out of my Cousin's body—" I warn him. "Well, I could if only I had a witch around to put me back in my body." Tyler/Klaus tells me. Well, if he needs a witch then I know just the one, I text Emory 'Find me now!'
A few minutes later Emory finds me and 'Tyler' "Hey, Cuz. Other Cousin." He greets. "Hello, Emory." Tyler/Klaus greets back. Emory gets a good look at 'Tyler' then rolls his eyes sighing "Klaus, what the hell are you doing possessing my Cousin?" He asks, "Well, it was either that or die a permanent death by white oak stake." Tyler/Klaus explains. Emory turns to me "Is that why I'm here, to put him back in his body?" He asks annoyed. I nod "Yeah but, that's not the only reason you're here. It's just that this situation needs your immediate attention at the moment." I explain. Tyler/Klaus gives me a wary look "Plotting something, Aidan?" He asks paranoid, I just glare at him. Emory sighs "You're lucky that I know some body switching spells." He says. Tyler's phone starts to ring, Tyler/Klaus checks his phone "Ah, you incessant woman!" He says then answers it. "Hey Mom. What's up?" He asks, it's Carol, "I'm fine. Why? What's going on?" He asks. I hear Carol over the phone "Pastor Young had me arrested. The Council grilled me on your whereabouts. Don't tell me where you are, the less I know the better." She explains. "Mom, I'm okay. Relax." Tyler/Klaus says, "Where's Aidan?" She asks, "He's with me." He answers. "Thank goodness. I was so scared that you both were with Caroline." Carol says. Tyler/Klaus looks troubled to hear that Caroline is in danger "Why? What happened to Caroline?" He asks concerned, "The Council took her." Carol tells him. He gets a grimaced look on his face "What do you mean they took her?" He asks.
Tyler/Klaus leaves to go rescue Caroline "Klaus seemed really gung-ho to save that Caroline chick." Emory voices. I sigh… he did seem a little too concerned about Caroline… not sure how I should take this. Jealous… maybe a little, but I really haven't been around lately. So, of course he's gonna catch feelings for someone else, doesn't matter… I'm leaving anyway. Emory's phone chimes "It's a text from Klaus. Come to the old witch house." He reads out, old witch house? Emory sighs "Great… all that preparation for nothing and now we have to see witch spirits." He mutters. Witch Spirits?! Okay, what is going on?
Emory takes me to an Old Rundown House, it's giving me some bad vibes "You feel that, right?" Emory asks. I nod "That's the spirits." He tells me, we enter the house and I start to hear whispers "What the hell?" I mutter. Emory turns around sharply facing me "You- you can hear them?" He asks, I nod "The Spirits, you can hear them?" He asks, I nod again. "Damn… not good, Okay. We gotta make this quick." He says and goes downstairs, I follow after him. We go into the basement and see Jeremy, Caroline, Bonnie, and Tyler/Klaus "Emory, you're here finally. Bonnie here, says she isn't strong enough to put me back in my body. So, I figured you could help her along." He explains. Emory looks at Klaus then at Bonnie "Never underestimate a Bennett Witch." He says to her and looks back at Klaus again "But, I'm perfectly capable of putting you back in your own body myself." He tells him. Bonnie glares at Emory, a little insulted by his statement "But sure, I'll work with Miss Bennett to put to you back in your body." He says smirking at Bonnie.
Emory and Bonnie are standing at either of 'Tyler', Bonnie at his back and Emory at his front, There hands on either side of his head. They start to chant "Phasmatos Tribum, Nas Ex Veras, Raverus En Phasmatos Ex Donos. Resistamus Et Veram Vatus. Raverus Phasmatos Ex Sonos." They chant. The Voices start to whisper louder "This is black magic. She shouldn't be doing this… they shouldn't be doing this." Jeremy says. I look at Bonnie and Emory as they continue to chant, black veins appear on there forearms. What the hell? Suddenly Tyler's eyes open and he looks up "Tyler?" Caroline calls out. Tyler smiles "Caroline. Hey." He greets, he tries to get up but passes out, Caroline rushes to his side.
Bonnie and Emory are still chanting "Bonnie, what are you doing?" Jeremy calls out, Yeah, what are they doing? Klaus is already back in his body and Tyler's back to his self. Suddenly, Emory is thrown back to the side by some unknown force. I rush to his side "Emory! Are you okay?" I ask, he nods "Yeah, let's get out of here." He says. Emory grips my hand and suddenly were outside, a few feet away from the house… did we just… teleport. I look at Emory, he sighs tired "Witch spirits, they're annoying. Except for Blackwood ancestors, they don't mind the black magic as long as I don't lose my way. And I haven't… so far." He explains. I nod "Okay. That's good, I guess." I say, not sure how to take this, "So, what did you want to talk about?" Emory asks. I take a deep breath "I want to leave this town… for good." I tell him. Emory grins "Well, about time, Cousin." He says smiling.
