The group was soon was back on their way after welcoming the two young pokemon. Even if the Margspiser was actually almost three hundred years old. The group now was standing at the entrance of Mt. Moon yet a few hundred yards from the entrance and to the side. They were about just finished lunch when they heard a scream and the scream was getting closer.
Soon the source of the scream was shown as they all watched as a man who would normally look like a scientist. Yet he was covered in burns and bites and some of them even had a purple liquid on the clothes. Following him was a bunch of Zubats and even a Golbat. Just as he was out of the cave he fell it seemed the poison bites finally took its toll.
Ash and Brock soon were throwing Pokeballs towards the bats. Ash threw two and yelled out." Margspiser and Justified come on out we need your help. Margspiser with Dragon Tail and Justified use Night Slash clear these bats out of here."Brock threw 1 out and yelled." Onyx come on out and use Rock Throw to finish off these bats. The three Pokemon made short work of the 30ish bat pokemon. Ash noticed that there was a Golbat and a Zubat still awake but hurt Ash never seen such damage such as this. Besides the wounds that Dauði had at the time of their meeting. The Golbat was missing a tooth the leg had a bone sticking out of it. The Zubat's wing was almost broken in two which was amazing that it was able to fly.
Ash and Brock both returned their pokemon and rushed over to help the two and the man. Brock was helping the man up and helping him over away from the pokemon. The man was a bit delirious from the poison attacks and bangs on the head. Sure enough, the man was getting a bit better as the poison from pokemon tends to clear from humans quickly. Brock looked to Ash and he noticed Ash was healing both with potions and Aura.
He shook his head and focused on the scientist. He had to ask."Hello sir, how are you feeling? Take it easy you were attacked pretty badly by some Zubats and a Golbat. You will have to take it easy for a while. Now come here and explain what's going on in Mt Moon, there has to be a reason for the behavior of these pokemon. My name is Brock I am just going to bring you even farther away from the Pokemon."
The man nodded as he couldn't talk quite yet as the poison was still affecting him. He noticed another teen was busy with the Golbat he was curious as to why it seemed the teen had a slight blue glow around him and it was spreading to the Golbat. He watched shocked as the bone from the leg/foot slowly sunk from outside the skin and went back to place. Soon as the bone was gone from sight. The Golbat seemed to relax and even be communicating with the man with some sounds their species is known for.
He looked to Brock for an explanation as he was confused as to what was going on with the teen. He watched as Brock shrugged and explained vaguely." Ash is a very different kind of person that is for sure. I think the only way to explain him is he is a myth walking. The rest of the story is up to Ash if he is willing to tell you that. It is of course his story after all. Now stop moving let me finish treating your wounds."
The four and the scientist looked to Ash and noticed he sent the now crazed bats away. The only two that were left were the Golbat and Zubat. Brock noticed that the Zubat was moving towards him. He held an arm out and the little bat landed there and looked at Brock. The darker-skinned boy was curious."Do you want to come with me Zubat I will treat you right, I promise." The pokemon nodded before looking to Ash then him jumping up and down a bit. Brock smiled before unclipping a Pokeball and touching the Zubat lightly. When the bat disappeared in a light red and was sucked in the ball and after three rolls it stopped. With a quiet ping, the ball stopped and the Zubat was captured.
Ash soon was coming over and was clipping the new ball to his belt. He wasn't looking the happiest but that was to be expected. He had a look on his face that even Brock was stepping back from. He has never seen anything good come from a person with that look. It made him nervous and a bit worried about everyone's health. Especially the fact his hands were glowing a bit red. Brock took a step back so he wasn't in the way of Ash's wrath.
Ash came over and grabbed the man and growled out." What is the big idea, so what exactly possessed you to put lights in MT. Moon? Those lights disrupt the entire ecosystem cave. You could potentially kill pokemon with these lights. Or maybe you can explain why Giovanni ordered you to do such a thing? How can I get rid of these lights without hurting the pokemon in the cave."
The scientist was now shaking as Ash held him up. He almost couldn't comprehend everything he just said till the last part then the man started shaking and become even paler. He looked to his hands and now noticed the red light was gone. He now was a bit calmer and was now able to studder the answer to his question." I am only a scientist I have no idea who Giovanni is. I was contracted by Team Rocket to do it and then forced to come here. I am normally a man who is in charge of fossils on Cinnabar island. They are looking for a few things that I can tell. They want fossils of rare or extinct pokemon. Then they are looking for the giant moonstone rumored to be hidden in this mountain range. Although it is considered folklore since no one has ever seen it. The system is very easy to destroy honestly just have to either get water in the system or destroy the generator. Now I told you everything I know let me go."
Ash was still holding the man up like he was nothing and now glared at the man even harder. He pulled him close and soon everyone heard growling coming from his lips. Then to the shock of Brock, Serena, and misty watched as the two were now glowing a purple with white wisps. Soon they watched in a mild Horror as Ash threw the man down the road. The man tumbled for a while before slamming into a rock with a wicked crunch. Everyone was shocked by how Ash acted. They never have seen him so ruthless and scary. Brock noticed Ash was about to head back to the man down the road and decided to get in the way. Ash was brought short by seeing a friend in his way and did not understand why.
Brock spoke in a calm and yet forceful voice."Ash, what are you doing? Do you really think that you hurting and killing him will solve the problems? He already said he was forced to come. If you kill him you will be no better than Giovanni. Do you really want that to happen you are your own person remember that Ash? Remember who you are Ash Ketchum."
Ash frowned but closed his eyes and the Purple aura around him dissipated. When it was gone everyone exhaled in relief. Considering they would not be able to stop Ash if he went off. He was stronger without his gifts and with them who knows what he could do when truly angry. He knew he had to tell Brock the truth about who his father is. He hopes this doesn't make him lose a friend. Misty and Serena accept it easily enough but Brock is a different person. Ash decided to give him a shortcut way of finding everything out by sending the story to Brocks mind.
Brock was blasted with pictures and the story of Ash and his family and now understood why he acted the way he did. He was trying to stop his father from doing something really stupid. He was trying to redeem his father and taking out his forces might do that or so he hoped. Brock knew Ash was his own person and the sins of the father will make his life hard. Yet this is something everyone goes through in a way. He has since he has also had to come out from his father's shadow as a gym leader. Now being out with Ash he could pursue his own dreams.
Serena and Misty now saw the look in Brock's eyes and were curious about what Ash did. Then Serena saw a bit of purple glow to his eyes and took an estimated guess as to what happened. She whispered to Misty about her observations. Misty's own eyes widen, she looked at the phone in her hand. Ash gave it to her since she tends not to be involved in his little actions. She opened it and pressed the contact number for Jenny. Not realizing it contacts the closest one. With a quick conversation, Jenny was on her way. She looked to the scientist who was still in the position he was in when he smacked into the rock. They finally noticed he had an arm and leg were bent in not a normal position. The looks of the man do cause them to flinch and to make them remember to never piss Ash off.
In minutes the sounds of sirens were heard behind them and sure enough, Jenny and an ambulance showed up. She saw the look of the man who she is there for and shook her head. She knows Aura guardians get a bit of lead way with how they handle Criminals but this was pushing it. She sighed before getting the statements from the 4 teens. After ten minutes of interviews, she lets them go and heads back for her report and to lay charges.
Ash and the group soon look to the entrance and start to head inside to get their journey on their way. Also a side mission of stopping this team rocket activity here in the Mountain range and cave system. They all frowned at the lights in the cave and soon were following them. Brock did have to stop to help a Sandshrew who was so parched from the heat of the lights. Ash frown but had to wait to do something. He would wait till the lights were dealt with. After helping and Brock catching the Rock Mouse Pokemon They continued their journey. After about 15 minutes of walking and sneaking around near corners so not caught off guard. They soon were near their goal they figured when they heard a couple of voices. Ash and the girls were shocked when they recognized the voices.
"James can't you hurry up, we have to find some fossils and moonstones." The clearly annoyed female voice of Jessie was heard. The group was surprised that Giovanni put them in charge of this. James's reply was soon heard, they could tell he was getting annoyed with her thought." Well Jessie this would be going faster if you picked up a shovel and helped. Instead of standing there looking at your nails while Meowth and I dig."
An "Ouf" was heard as they figured James threw a tool at her to help them dig. Meowth was heard next." While ya do that, I wils be checkin the Power system. It has been running for a long time. So it might need more fuel."
Soon the group could hear two tools continue to hit the ground. They didn't hear Meowth anymore and Ash used some Aura sight to see if it was just the two of them there, they were closer to the group. It seemed Meowth only went about a hundred feet or so where there was the power generator or whatever was controlling the lights. He did notice there was actually more Rockets nearby about 4 more it seems they are under Jessie and James.
He pulled his friends away from the wall and motioned them back a bit so they could speak."So there are actually 6 Team Rocket grunts here doing the work. I am surprised there is no Admin's here but we can count that as a blessing at the moment We best to strike now before more come. Serena, I want you to stay back and be ready to phone Officer Jenny. Just pray we can capture them as Team Rocket has always been slippery. But also Toril did blast Jessie and James off the last two times so never know what will happen. I am going for shock and awe so everyone gets ready to throw everything at them. These people are criminals they will not be fighting fair so neither will we. Riku will be staying with you. She will protect you from anything that may somehow get past us. Does everyone understand what we are doing?" He got nods from everyone and handed the special phone to Serena. He also handed his two legendary pokemon to her since he can't use them to fight at the moment.
They soon got ready to release as many pokemon as they could soon as they came around the corner. They did not notice that in the darkness there was a set of eyes close to the ground watching them getting ready to fight. It felt the pulse from the Aura sight and had developed a new hope that something would protect its home.
Ash and the two gym leaders soon walked around the corner and unleashed all their pokemon. In an explosion of red light there soon was a small army of pokemon in front of them. This caused the Rockets to stop their work. Jessie and James now were worried when they saw the Bosses son there and it seemed he was not taking prisoners. He had a Lapras, Golbat, Houndoom, Pikachu, a bug pokemon they never have seen before, a Cleffa that Jessie almost gushed over, a weird Eevee looking evolution, and finally a tiny Dino looking pokemon. The gym leaders were just as scary. Especially the giant Garyados there which they could tell was bigger than average. The Onyx was nasty looking as well just due to being solid rock.
The Rockets soon were fumbling with their poke balls as everyone soon noticed all the pokemon were charging attacks. The four grunts instantly turned around and booked it away. In their attempt to run, they did not notice a blue stream with yellow bolts flying around it. Which caused a giant explosion, which tore right through the roof of the cave and smoke billowed out. After a few seconds, the smoke cleared and the four Rockets were missing all that was somehow left on the ground were their poke balls and a bit of torn clothes.
Jessie and James gulped but unleashed some new pokemon they took from headquarters. They were stalling in hopes Meowth could start up the backup plan. Soon there was an Arcanine and a Golem there along with the Koffin and Ekans. The two smaller pokemon were shaking from a bit of fear from the amount of pokemon in front of them. They remember what the Pikachu did to them the last time they saw it. The Golem and Arcanine were ready to go they knew they would have a fight but they figured if these trainers could direct them maybe they could take out a few of them.
Ash and the group were surprised by the new additions but considering what Ash's pokemon could do for the most part wasn't too worried. They were about to voice commands when they heard a rumbling from where Meowth went. When they risked a glance over they were shocked by a giant military truck coming up the tunnel. The truck of course was outfitted with rubber padding in what seemed in hopes to be able to reflect electric attacks. Ash was more surprised by the fact that Meowth could drive the thing.
He shook his head before giving a command."Misty after Riku's attack is done Use all your strongest water attacks. Brock, you are in charge of defending us just in case something slips by us. Riku, please use a full force Blue Flare, it is time to turn the heat up. Valkyrie, use an Aqua Swirl on the Golem, Toril Use a Quick Punch send them rolling back to where they need to go."
Before Brock could ask about the two moves. A giant blue flame left the cannons of Riku and soon as the stream went over the ground it started on fire in a blue flame. This soon hit the truck and was baking it. Brock was able to watch as Meowth was smart enough to jump out right before the flames hit it. Seems the heat was even worse over there. He watched as the 7 on the other side realized what firepower Riku had.
He almost missed the blue silver flash of Pikachu as Golem was hit with an Ice Punch. It seemed Pikachu used Quick Attack to beat the heat and smack into Golem even harder than normal. Then he almost had flashbacks as he watched a blue cone surrounded by a Pink swirling move hit the Fire Dog Pokemon. This made him flinch in remembering the damage just Aqua Jet did mix with another move who knows the damage it could cause. The hit from the two combo moves caused the bigger pokemon to smack into the two smaller ones before turning into a big bundle of pokemon. Which then soon slammed into Meowth and the two trainers.
Misty soon recovered and told her pokemon that could be out of water."Gyarados, use Hydro Pump to put out the flames, Starmie Use Psychic to keep them all together, Staryu please use Watergun. What everyone did not notice was the projection of how they got hit or how the Hydro Pump slammed the truck into the wall behind them or how the truck was sparking from some robotic parts getting ready to explode. Starmie had thrown everyone into the truck and the Watergun was just strong enough to knock the pokemon out.
When the group hit it caused a mini-explosion which turned into a major one after it was done. Brock yelled out for Onyx." Use rock throw in front of us to protect us from debris and the flames." Onyx nodded before slamming his tail on the ground and soon rocks fell from above and formed a bit of wall right in front of them. Which protected them from the blast.
This explosion kicked up dust and smoke most of the wall crumbled away after so they could see the results if weren't so dusty and smokey. Døden then unleashed a tiny Roar. Which cleared the smoke from the area. When the group could not find the group they were confused till they heard from the sky."LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN! ! ! !"
This caused everyone to race to a new hole in the roof and watched as three Rockets disappeared in a twinkle. This caused Misty and Ash to smack their foreheads in a feeling of Deja vu. Brock was a bit concerned for the Team rocket. He never has seen someone launched like that before and was worried about them landing somewhere and dying. He looked to Ash and Misty before Misty leaned over and explained this was not the first time they were blasted off by them. It seemed that this was the third time in about a week. This did make Brock relax but still, he hates hurting people or pokemon, especially pokemon. Which they did just send off five of them off.
Ash in the meantime of Brock's completion was going over to the balls left behind from the other Rockets. The balls were still in their shrunken size showing the owners did not get time to expand them before they dropped them. He sighed before pulling out his scanner from the rangers. This tool was used when they found abandoned poke balls all in a way to either return them or to charge them with abandonment. Ash scanned the group of the four he wasn't really shocked by the amount there. The grunts he saw looked around his age so he figured out they were only working with Team Rocket for maybe a couple of months. They were simple pokemon common from Kanto. There was an Ekans, a Growlithe, and two Zubats. They were all lower in terms of power. Ash figured that they were just catching pokemon and passing them out to grunts.
None of them were trained or anything to show being taken care of he sighed and cursed to himself. He grabbed the balls and put them in his bag. He also sent an email to the rangers to pick the new balls up at the nearest Pokemon center. He was angry for the pokemon how they treated under Rocket's thumbs. There was so much wrong with this group of thugs they didn't care about the people or pokemon around them or the ones they stole from. He clenched his hand so hard it started to bleed.
Serena came around the corner when she didn't hear anything after a bit. She came up to Ash and noticed his hand and pulled his hand apart. Which she noticed was harder than she thought possible. She finally noticed that when it was due to a blue glow that was classic Aura. She went to her shoulder bag and went to get a medkit but by the time she pulled her hand out with a bandage the blood had stopped flowing. She shook her head and grabbed a disposable cloth and whipped the blood away. She was a bit worried Ash did not even react to her cleaning his hand. She touched his back and it finally caused a reaction, this was one she was not expecting though. Ash shot forward and she watched as an Aura Sphere expanded in his hand and slammed into a wall of the cavern.
This caused a quaking throughout the room and caused the roof to drop a bunch of stalactites and the new hole in the roof to expand. Everyone but Ash moved to safety, he was still there with his arm extending into the wall. What they were not expecting was a new room opened in the cavern, right after the wall where Ash's hand was. It looked to be a dark hallway, it seemed though that it was leading down, it seemed that it was leading deeper into the mountain. This raised some flags with the group. It seemed the decision was made by Aurvandil who jumped out of Ash's arms and was running down the tunnel. This caused Ash to return all his pokemon and run after the baby Fairy type, which caused the others to run after the two.
By the time Ash and the others caught up to the baby pokemon surprised by the speed of the baby Pokemon. They realized they were in a cavern with a hole in the roof. Where they soon were now standing in front of a giant stone near gem quality. This Ash realized was the giant Moonstone in which the legend started. He was shocked it was real. Before they could do anything through a bunch of the Celfairy line appeared to stop them from getting closer. Aurvandil approached one Clefable and hugged it. He realized that this was its mother from the curl on the tail.
The discussion was cute and heartwarming. He approached and soon explained to the mother through Aura so she might understand it as the truth." Do not worry, I will take care of her as if she is my own daughter. She is strong like you. I will make sure she and your stone are safe. I will get the rangers here more often so no one disturbed the stone you have my word as an Aura guardian and as Arceus's chosen. Will you and your family trust me? Also, I will get the hole we accidentally opened up closed after we leave here so no one comes down here and hurts you or takes your stone."
The look that she gave Ash almost made him laugh as it must be a shock to her someone could speak in Aura. The Clefable nodded before snapping a finger. Which Ash almost backed away since that almost always meant Metramone was about to be used. He was shocked when she responded." Aura Guardian, we have had a tale old as our clan. We were told when the right one comes one who speaks Aura to give him these fossils. We never thought the day would come as it never has happened before. So it is my honor to present you with these fossils. Take care of them and my daughter she always was a wild one. Just when she is strong enough please bring her back if she so wishes. Thank you for offering to repair that damage and willing to protect us."
Ash nodded his understanding as he looked to the other Celfairy's bring over 4 fossils. he was surprised by the amount of them. Or the color of one of the fossils. It wasn't stone like the others. This one was orange with some scales inside it. He was confused by it but nodded his gratitude to the pokemon. Soon he was tackled by Aurvandil as she snuggled into his chest holding on closely. He smiled and petted her and gave her a scratch being her ear. He loaded up the fossils before they left into his bag and back up the cave system. Sure enough, they got back up to where they were and he brought out Margspiser.
Ash told him pointing to the section above the hole."Margspiser can you do me a favor and send a rock blast to the section above the hole We have to seal the tunnel to protect the Pokemon in the tunnel." The Tiny dino pokemon nodded his head and slammed his foot down and caused three rocks to appear it soon swung its tail and slammed into the three rocks one at a time. The three rocks soon hit the roof and they were shocked by the effect since it caused the roof to collapse again and when the dust cleared they noticed the hole was covered and the hole in the roof was expanded. Ash smiled at his tiny pokemon and told him." Good job buddy, now get some rest that was amazing."
Ash and the group soon were back on their way. It seemed as if the pokemon in the cave left them alone as saying thanks for getting the people who were destroying the cave system. So sure enough after a while, they were able to find the final rest area of the cave. Which they were surprised was empty there were no trainers at all there. Ash looked to his phone and smiled it was getting late so might as well rest for the night and then continue on their way the next day since it might not take so long to get to Cerulean city in the morning. After feeding the pokemon and setting the tents everyone soon retreated into the tents. Soon after settling down everyone headed to bed and fell asleep.
