Dean sat a the kitchen table the next morning and stared out of the back windows. He had been staring out since the early dawn, but he barely recognized that change to the early morning. He was pulled out of his thoughts by a chair purposeful sliding across the floor loudly. He turned toward the sound and saw Celine pulling the chair out and holding out a mug to him.

"Thought it was best not to startle you," she said. "You look like crap."

"You say the sweetest thing," he joked, grabbing the mug. It was coffee fresh from the pot.

Celine continued while she sat, grabbing the mug in front of the chair she pulled out. "Other than the obvious, what's wrong."

"Couldn't sleep."

"And Emma?"

"Barely lost a wink."

"At least there's that. I think Riley knows what's going on. She refused to go to sleep until really early in the morning. I think she couldn't keep herself up any longer."

"What'd you tell her?"

"I don't know," Celine said desperately. "What do you tell a toddler?"

"I was hoping you had an idea," Dean stated honestly.

Celine laughed without humor. "I'm new at this as well. I never imagined being a new mom and fighting against evil."

"You didn't need to come all this way," Dean told her seriously.

"Yes, I did. If it were my family in trouble, I would want someone to do the same. Also, there's safety in numbers, or so I've been told."

Before Dean would respond, a wild head of blue hair walked into the kitchen, softly mumbling about coffee.

"Looks like the zombie woke up," Celine joked.

"Just don't stake me," came the mumble.

"Why would I stake you?"

"That's how you kill a zombie," Emily said, walking over with a cup of coffee. "You stake them inside of their coffin. Didn't I give you pdf files of all the books?"

"Was that what all those emails were about?" Celine deadpanned. "I opened them, and then closed them when I realized they weren't the cliff notes."

"How did you expect to keep up with everything?"

"Magic."

"You're hilarious," Emily deadpanned back. "By the way, the girls are back to planning world domination."

"What else are you expecting them to be doing?" Dean jumped in.

"They could plan for world peace, but noooooo. They're going to take it over. Just watch, you're going to wish you listened to me. I'm going to stop their planning for now." Emily bolted out of the room, coffee still in hand.

"Now?" Celine questioned to herself before turning back to Dean. "Riley should still be asleep, and Emily was sleeping down here last night, wasn't she?"

"Yeah," Dean answered, also confused.

The two parents stood up and walked into the living room. There they found Emily lying down on the floor with Emma climbing around her like a jungle gym. Castiel was sitting on the couch while Riley was climbing over him, looking as if she was trying to find something.

"Riley?" Celine asked. The child looked up at her mother before continuing. "How did you get down here?"

"She walked down the stairs after you went to the kitchen," Castiel answered for the child.

"She knows she's not allowed on the stairs without an adult."

"She was never in any danger. I would have caught her if she started to fall."

Celine sighed, letting it go for now.

"What is she doing, Cas?" Dean asked him.

"She does not understand why she cannot touch my wings."

"She can see your wings," Dean asked, slightly alarmed.

"They're more like shadows than anything feasible," Celine answered. "She is still trying to figure out was is on this plane and what isn't. I would have been so confused, had I met a supernatural creature when I was that young."

"She cannot actually see them, so she is not in any danger," Cas placated Dean.

"Her eyes aren't burning out," Emily announced from the floor. At this point, she had a leg up with Emma clinging against it while standing on Emily's stomach. Somehow through all of this, Emily was sipping on her coffee. "She's fine."

"Eyes burning?" Celine asked.

"Things would be much easier if you read the books," Emily sighed.

While they were talking, the front door opened and closed quickly. Everyone looked up, saw that it was Sam in workout clothes before relaxing again.

"What's going on?" he asked.

"I'm trying to convince Celine to read the books," Emily said. "Things would be easier if she got the references."

"Please don't," Sam said, looking at Celine.

"Hey, it's either she reads the books, or I show her all the fanfiction that's on my phone." At this, Sam visibly paled while Dean groaned in defeat. "Don't worry, you two, you're no longer shipped together by the fandom. Everyone agrees that Dean and Cas are a couple, while Sam, you're shipped with Gabriel."

"Gabriel?" Sam asked. "Why?"

Emily looked at him with an evil smirk. "The height difference," she said while wagging her eyebrows.

Sam gave her one of his patented bitch-faces before doing an about-face and going to shower. The sound of high pitched giggling followed after him.
