Godric stood poised, the shock only morphing his features for a mere second. I floated before him like some ghostly apparition. Somehow we reached the same spiritual plain.
"I do not have much time" I looked at my hand. A deathly fog blackening my fingers. He watched as I tipped my hands quizzically. He tried to come towards me, but every step proved futile. "They're coming for me. I cannot hide forever".
"Who?"
"Goodbye Godric" Everything felt so heavy...
Godric
Waking up from a deep slumber that felt as if silver chains wrapped his body, Godric knew not what needed to be done. Calling Eric, he told him what had happened. How Rezhal came to him in his sleep, her eyes filled with a fear, but her voice remained calm as if she accepted her eternal ending. Eric had no idea what was going on with the weird being, but said he would call in a favor to a old powerful witch, Gaius. Any price to pay was worth it for his master. If helping her out was his wish, Eric made it his command.
Godric visited her grave every night. Unable to do anything besides wait for Eric's call. Aries warmed up to him, allowing him free range without a hawk's eye. He could still see her outlined above her grave, but the light faded as the days passed. What dangers lurked in the afterworld? Would he have to face similar things when his time was due? He did notice Rezhal's weakened state after any use of power. He enraged her, she could not control herself, and so he blamed himself for whatever predicament she was now in.
Eric
To Pam's distaste, Eric left her to watch over the business as he went on a witch hunt. Last sightings of Gaius was deep in the Amazonian forest. He hunting the witch down for days, but the trails always ended up in dummy traps. Till one morning the skys cleared a unusual path for which he followed.
"You look for me Vampire" stated a thick ancient accent he had not heard in over millennium. A young women sat atop a branch.
Eric jumped from tree to tree to reach her. "I require your knowledge Gaius" He could smell the age and feel her power roll off her as if it was one with the nature around them.
"I rewarded your dedicated with finding me. Why shall I reward anything more?" Her youthful appearance eerie. Such a strong facial structure as if the bones wanted to protrude from the flesh. Before he could utter another word, "I know all you can give, and I need it not".
Eric kneeled, offering his hand, his memories, he was willing to do anything. She amusingly took it, violently breaking her way through his mind ripping things apart carelessly. Eric stayed firm even though the pain would make a normal vampire attempt suicide the first second.
She chuckled, " I like you vampire". She amused herself, "fine I will help. We shall return there by daybreak." Gaius tossed him a ring, "wear this to protect from the sun" Then she vanished in a similar manner as Rezhal. He had no reason to doubt the old witch he placed the ring on, the metal unwrapped itself digging into his flesh. He writhed in pain till morning light.
Sunlight encased his body as the agony subsided. Gaius stood before him appearing as a young child no more than nineteen years of age. A different skin to the one from the night before, "Lets go Vampire" she said, a accent also different, more modern.
Godric
A buzzing phone woke Godric from day's rest. blood gushed quickly from his ears and eyes. "Eric, you call during the day?"
"I bring good news. We will return by the night"
"We?"
"Gaius" he answered...
