Disclaimer: I only own Kat and Ophelia.

"Why does Kat look like she's been crying?" Ophelia asked. "Kat, you're as white as a ghost!" She whipped her head to the door. "What did those two do?"

"One question as a time," Chica groaned. "I don't know what they did either."

Ophelia's eyes softened when she got a good look at her younger sister; she hadn't seen Kat this bad in years. Sadly, being stuck with one of the worst pirates in the world made it hard to make them crack. She figured they must have really done something.

"Am I broken?" Kat whimpered, her voice starting to crack.

Ophelia was silent for a few seconds, letting her sister's words sink in. Without a word or any hesitation, she was up and storming towards the door.

"Lia!" Kat shouted desperately. She reached out to her. "Come back."

Reluctantly the older blonde obeyed. "Tell us what's wrong." She ushered.

Kat took a deep breath to calm herself down. She looked between the two blondes. "I was coming up to see what was taking Captain Foxy so long." She began.

"And?" Ophelia prompted.

"Phie, have patience," Chica admonished gently. Nodding to Kat, she gestured for her to continue.

"And he and Bonnie were talking," Kat continued. She looked over at the door. "They were talking about Chica and me." She exhaled. "Bonnie asked Foxy what if Springtrap—" She tried to choke back a sob. "What if Springtrap broke my spirit."

Ophelia's dark brown eyes darkened. "That-that—"

"Phie, stay calm," Chica begged nervously. It was never good when Ophelia went into protective mode. "Kat, go on."

"Foxy likes you, a lot," the redhead concluded, unable to stop the mischievous smile creeping on her face.

Ophelia couldn't help but smirk in victory. She resisted the urge to gloat, she had a little sister to take care of.

"Aw kitten," she used the childhood nickname their dad gave Kat. "You're not broken, you're Kat and that's what matters." She pushed herself up. "Now, can I go yell at them?"

Kat sighed and nodded. Gleefully, Ophelia flounced over to the door and flung it open.

"Oh boys," She sang in a taunting manner. "Where did you go?" She peeked down the hall. She saw Freddy by the stairs and smiled in a way that would send chills down many people's spines. "Where did your moron friends go?"

Freddy shuddered at how calm the blonde was talking despite being so angry. He could only imagine how Kat and Chica acted when they were angry. Hopefully, he would never have to find out.

"I have no clue," he admitted; he looked over his shoulder to see an empty hall.

"Just so we're aware, Kat's very upset and very hurt." The smile got wider. "And when Kat or Chica are hurt, I am hurt."

Freddy gulped nervously. He had never seen any of the girls in this state, and frankly, it was starting to scare him.

"If they wish to speak to either my sister of my friend, they have to go through me." Her eyes glinted protectively. She chuckled bitterly. "Good luck getting Kat to speak, if you thought she doesn't really talk now, good luck when she's mad or hurt. And I would stay out of the kitchen for now.

"We are very close, and we care for each other." She turned to go back to the kitchen. "We are done for the day; the girls and I are going back to our room."

She whirled back around, her blonde hair whipping over her shoulder. "And if anyone has a problem with that, tough, learn to fend for yourselves." With that, she marched back to the kitchen to collect the other two girls.

Freddy didn't dare stop the girls; he was honestly a scared. He decided to not tell anyone, not even Foxy and Bonnie, that Ophelia had scared him.

Ophelia led the way back to the girls' room. While she was delighted that she was right about Foxy liking Chica, she had other priorities.

What was waiting for the group when they got back had a mix of reactions on the girls. Foxy and Bonnie were waiting in their room.

Kat was startled but decided to put on a blank face. Chica locked eyes with Foxy and started to sweat.

And Ophelia? Well, she had plenty to say.

"You!" She hissed, pointing a finger at Bonnie. She started to advance on him as Chica grabbed her arm.

"Lass, calm down," Foxy put his hands up in a placating style. "We mean no harm."

"No harm?" Ophelia echoed. "Oh, I think we're past that." Her steel glare bore into Bonnie's soul.

"Let me explain," Bonnie meekly spoke up. "Kat, can I speak to you alone?"

"Oh no!" Ophelia protested loudly. She glanced back at Kat.

"Please?" Bonnie begged. He skirted around the furious blonde carefully. "Kat, I just want to explain."

Kat avoided looking at anyone in favor of rubbing her hands up and down her arms. Her defense mechanism was starting to kick in, something that worried Ophelia and Chica.

"Kat?" Bonnie urged anxiously.

Not even uttering a word, Kat nodded and went in the hall. Ophelia watched, a mix of anger and nervousness swirling around in her.

Bonnie closed the door behind him; he felt very guilty and it was showing.

Kat crossed her arms tightly as she leaned against the wall.

"I'm sorry," the purple hair man apologized. "I didn't mean what I said." He respired sharply. "I shouldn't have said it, I don't even know why I said it."

It was so tense that not even a pirate sword could cut through it. The redhead didn't even acknowledge that she was even listening.

Bonnie placed a hand on Kat's shoulder only for her to pull away. He didn't like how stoic and quiet she was being.

This was her way of coping, don't look at anyone, don't speak, don't show any emotion. Shut down and retreat into her own world.

"Kat," he attempted again. "I'm sorry, you're not broken."

The redhead picked at her nails. Bonnie couldn't tell if he was making any progress.

He put his finger under her chin and forced her to look at him. "I like you; I like you a lot." He spoke. "And I don't know what to do about it." He sighed. "Please, say something, anything."

All he got was a blank stare as she pulled away. Had his declaration even made any sort of effect on her?

Kat moved to go back in the room. Bonnie felt a sinking feeling inside, a feeling he's never felt before.

Right as Kat was about to go inside, she shot him a sad look and went in.

Ophelia immediately darted over to her sister and pulled her over to a bed. "You okay?" She asked.

Kat numbly nodded. She pulled away from Ophelia and sat down next to Chica.

"Kat?" Foxy inquired.

Kat promptly stretched out, tipping her head back and closing her eyes, signaling that she was in no mood to talk.

Nodding, Foxy stood up and looked at Chica. "Can we talk?" He asked.

Chica contemplated for a few minutes before nodding. "But not too long, I want to stay here with Kat and Ophelia." She answered.

"I understand," Foxy said. He avoided Ophelia's scathing gaze as he went into the hall.

Chica shut the door behind her, though she knew Ophelia would probably attempt to eavesdrop like she had for Kat.

"Will she be okay?" Foxy questioned in concern.

Chica nodded and responded, "She just needs a few days."

Despite the fact he was able to be upfront with Bonnie, Foxy was nervous to bring up anything with Chica.

Luckily, she beat him to it. "Kat did tell me you like me." She bit her lip. "Is that true?"

Nervously, Foxy laughed. "Yes," he confirmed. "Though I didn't intend on Kat overhearing me admitting it."

"I like you too," she admitted. "And that scares me."

Foxy's face broke out into a huge grin. Before he could stop himself, he picked Chica up in a hug and twirled her.

"We'll be fine," he said gleefully. "I know we will be."

"What about Kat and Bonnie?" Chica questioned. "Kat's shut down, I'm sorry to say she might not talk for a few days."

"I can live with that," the captain assured. He looked horrified. "I never gave her the food!"

"I'll take care of it." The blonde giggled with a handwave. "It's kind of funny to see you care about someone."

"What can I say, I've grown fond of her, of all of you." Foxy shrugged. "You girls can take the time you need; I'll see that no one bothers you."

Chica gave him a peck on the cheek. "Thanks." She opened the door and went back in.

Foxy lightly touched his cheek, a goofy smile on his face. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
