A/N I DON'T OWN INUYASHA OR EVER AFTER

What happened last time:

Kagome flicks the sword up and gives Naraku a slight cut on his check "Aaah!" yelps Naraku, "My father was an expert swordsman, he taught me very well. Now hand me the key, or I swear on his grave I will slit you…(she points her sward down) from navel( she points her sward up) nose"

Naraku gets the key out of his pocket and puts it on the table "Your freedom" Kagome grabbed the key and left the room and set herself free…

Kagome left the manor. Every now and again she would look back and would smile at the fact she left and that she had her freedom. when she looked back to where she was going she saw Kouga and a few of his knights coming towards them. They stopped when they saw Kagome. Both Kouga and Kagome smiled at each other and greeted each other.

"What are you doing here?" Kagome asked

Kouga got off his horse and tried to explain himself "I well…I came to rescue you"

"Rescue me? A commoner?"

"Actually, I came to beg your forgiveness… I offered you the world, and at the first test of honour I betrayed you… please Kagome"

Kagome could not take the smile off her face "Say it again"

"I'm sorry"

"No, the part with your name"

Kouga took Kagome's hands and pulled her closer "Kagome, perhaps you would be so kind." Kouga pulled out the glass shoe that she left behind. ".. as to help me find the owner of this" Kouga got down on his knee and placed her shoe on her foot. ".. rather remarkable shoe?"

"Where did you find out"

"She is my match in every way. Please tell me I haven't lost her" Kouga looked Kagome in the eyes

"But it belongs to a peasant, Your Highness… who pretended to b a courtier to save a man's life"

"Yes, I know. And the name's Kouga if you do not mind. As I kneel before you not as a prince... but as a man in love and I would feel like a King if you Kagome would be my wife"

Kagome could not stop the smile off her face as she nodded her head, Kouga picked up Kagome and spun her around as he placed her on the ground and they shared a kiss.

Later that day with Kikyo, Sango and Kagura they were having lunch around the table making small chat.

"How was I to know he would run out the side door… he was supposed to be getting married!" Sango said playing with her food

"I heard the Prince talked to you. What did he say?" said Kikyo

Sango stopped playing with her food and tried to keep her smile on her face "Well, I can't be sure… it all happened so quickly… but I think what he said was… 'it serves me right for choosing a foreigner over your….. sister"

Both Kagura and Kikyo both shared a look and giggled at the news "Well, very good. Perhaps we should just let him fret about it for a few days" said Kagura. Kikyo and Kagura could not help but contain their glee so they both showed their glee by stomping their feet and smiling. They then heard a bell rang. The woman looked to the door and stopped eating and got up and said, "I'll get it!" they then ran to the door.

Both Kagura and Kikyo opened the door and saw Ginta standing at the door with a carriage and horse.

"His supreme Majesty, King Souta… requested an audience with the Baroness Kagura and her daughters immediately"

"Oh. Is anything wrong?" Kagura said trying not being coy

"No milady, the King demanded that you arrive in style"

Kagura looked towards Kikyo with a big smile on her face, Kikyo also returned this smile. Kagura looked back to the knight "Hmm! Then in style we shall be"

Kagura and Kikyo turned to enter the house, Sango stayed behind to close the door. As she did, she shared a knowing look and a smile.

A little while later, Kagura, Kikyo and Sango entered the palace entrance. There was a big crowd in the palace, Kagura was slightly bowing to people in the crowd with a big smile on her face. Her two daughters were right behind her.

The King, Queen and the prince were sitting on their thrones. Once Kagura and her daughters got close enough they curtsied to them.

"Baroness…did you not lie to Her Majesty the Queen? I must remind you that you choose your words wisely, madame… for they may be your last" the King said in anger

Kagura had to think for a moment "A woman would do practically anything…. for the love of her daughter, Your Majesties." She said as she got up "Perhaps I did get a little carried away"

Kikyo got up "Mother, what have you done!" she said, trying to sound outraged. Kikyo stood in front of her mother "Your Majesty, like you, I am just a victim here. She has lied to us both and I am ashamed to call her family" Kagura turned to Kikyo in outrage "How dare you turn on me, you ingrate!"

"You see what I have to put up with!" yelled Kikyo

Having enough of this the King yelled "Silence, both of you! Good Kami! Are they always like this?" the king asked Sango "Worse…. Your Majesty" replied Sango

Kagura slightly turned to Sango "Sango, dear…. I would hate to think you had anything to do with this"

"Of course, not mother, I just came for the food" she replied

"Baroness Kagura, you are forthwith stripped of your title you and your horrible daughter… are to be shipped to the Americas on the first boat. Unless, by some miracle…someone here will speak for you." Said the King

Kagura walked back trying to look for anyone that would save her but there was no one that would speak "There seem to be quite a few people out of town." She said in a joking way.

"I will speak for her" she heard from the back of the room. The crowd saw the person who spoke, and they bowed down to her.

Kagura looked behind her and saw it was Kagome. She was in a very beautiful red dress and with a small golden crown on her head. Kagome walked up to Kagura, Kagura had no choice but to bow to her, Kagome was loving every moment of this.

Kagome finished what she was saying "After all, she is my stepmother"

"Your Highness" said Kagura

"Kikyo…(Kouga called, Kikyo turned her head) I would like you to meet… my wife"

Kagome said to Kagura "I want you to know… that I will forget you after this moment and never think of you again … But you, I am quite certain… you will think about me every single day for the rest of your life"

"And how long might that be?"

Kagome did not answer, she instead addressed the King and Queen "All I ask, your Majesties is that you show her the same courtesy that she bestowed upon me."

So, both Kikyo and Kagura spent the rest of their days over in America as servants and both were miserable until the day they died.

Meanwhile both Kagome and Kouga loved each other every day, Sango and Ginta also found love and got married. Both couples were very happy and had children and told their story about seeing what was on the outside and to not judge others just because of where they were born, and their children told their children and so on and so on.
