The arrival of a darker version of Aldamon and a darker version of BeoWolfmon unnerved the Legendary Warriors, particularly BurningGreymon and KendoGarurumon, who let out great growls as they harnessed the power of their Human and Beast Spirits, their beings covered in cocoons of Data.

"Execute! Fusion Evolution!" Takuya and Koji announced through their Beast forms, drawing upon the power stored within their D-Tectors, with their bodies shining with flame and pure light respectively, before the cocoons burst open, revealing their Fusion Spirit forms.

"Aldamon!"

"BeoWolfmon!"

Looking at the counterparts, seeing the Warriors of Flame and Light staring them down, Dark Aldamon and Dark BeoWolfmon merely tilted their heads, as though observing their enemies, before the Dark Warrior of Flame shot at Aldamon, who brought up his hands as they clashed against one another, flying backwards and into the air as they tired striking at one another with their arm gauntlets, while Dark BeoWolfmon brought his left arm up, his energy gun opening and gathering energy to strike.

"Frozen Hunter!" BeoWolfmon then announced, gathering the energies of light from within his being, forming a gigantic wolf shaped aura that lunged ahead, taking the barrage of blasts from Dark BeoWolfmon and allowing the Warrior of Light to close in.

Giving a great cry, BeoWolfmon ran the Beo Saber in a fast and powerful horizontal sweep, the action not only leaving a great cut to Dark BeoWolfmon's chest, but the strike even managed to sever the corrupt Warrior's left arm.

But seeing his opponent ignoring the damage to his being and adapting, with Dark BeoWolfmon quickly withdrawing his blade from his fallen arm and jumping back, BeoWolfmon rushed ahead, trying to take down his counterpart before he could regenerate.

However, despite the clear disadvantage to his Dark counterpart, BeoWolfmon found the corrupt Warrior of Light fighting back, repealing his attacks and even coming close to landing a few of his own, this frustrating the real Warrior of Light, knowing with each moment in their conflict, the sooner Dark BeoWolfmon would just repair himself, watching in anger as his severed arm reappeared, causing him to just back as Dark BeoWolfmon used it to try and strike.

In the air, Aldamon and Dark Aldamon continued to clash with one another, both releasing wave after wave of fireballs as to try and overwhelm their opponent, with Aldamon feeling his own power slowly draining from the continuing battle, while his counterpart seemed perfectly fine.

Panting a little as he stared upon the corrupt Warrior of Flame, Aldamon thought with some doubt. 'This isn't good. I can't keep up this pace.'

Overhearing the sounds of the conflicts amongst his friends, and turning his attention briefly toward Zephyrmon and the others, seeing the remaining Warriors failing to best their counterparts, Aldamon's doubt faded as he shook his head, thinking to himself. 'No. I can't let anything stop me. We all have to keep fighting.'

Nearby, one of the two remaining Colossi let out a loud roar as it tilted its head upwards, gathering dark energy in its mouth, before unleashing it in a powerful blast, one Davis and Shadowknight easily dodged, before refocusing their efforts to bring it and its ally down.

But looking down, seeing the state of his friends, Davis felt his own worry growing.

'Hang in there, guys. I'll be there soon.' The Ascended Digidestined of Miracles thought, before focusing back on his fight, finding the Colossi relentless in their battle.

Down below, both MetalKabuterimon and Gigasmon found themselves back to back as they found their counterparts circling them, like sharks ready to strike down their prey.

"Hope you're not too tired..." The Warrior of Thunder said with a nervous laugh, trying to lighten the mood as their doubles prepared to strike.

"Funny, I was about to ask you the same thing..." Gigasmon said back with a brief grin through his pants, holding his arms to a battle ready stance, but knew that in their current position, he was more talk than anything.

Just before either side could strike, all felt the ground around them trembling, looking to see Petaldramon rushing ahead and slamming himself into Dark Petaldramon's face.

Managing to stagger his opponent and seeing his chance to stop his foe, Petaldramon jammed his tail into the ground, harnessing the power of the plant-life around him.

"Thorn Jab!" The Warrior of Wood declared, causing several thick streams of roots to shoot from the ground and wrap themselves around Dark Petaldramon, grasping the corrupted Warrior and pinning him down.

Thinking he had managed to stop Dark Petaldramon from his rampage, the Warrior of Wood turned over, looking to help the other Legendary Warriors, but found his restraints no match for Dark Petaldramon, finding the roots wrapped around the corrupt Digimon starting to rot and decay, allowing Dark Petaldramon to stand and resume their fight.

Giving Petaldramon no time, no chance to fight back and no mercy, Dark Petaldramon released a great and savage whirlwind, the stream of winds tearing through the streets and slamming Petaldramon back, sending the Warrior of Wood crashing through many buildings and destroying a fair section of the town, which left Petaldramon groaning as he pulled himself up.

'We can't keep fighting like this, but there's too much to lose if we throw in the towel.' The Warrior of Wood thought, unsure how he could best his opponent without destroying Primary City, before he found Dark Petaldramon approaching him, crushing further debris with each step he took.

Nearby, Aldamon and BeoWolfmon continued their battles, before, much to their confusion, the two Dark Warriors broke from their fights and moved closer to one another, Dark Aldamon landing next to Dark BeoWolfmon, confusing Takuya and Koji, before they saw a dark aura form around the pair.

Likewise, the other Dark Warriors also stopped, confusing the Legendary Warriors, before seeing the same dark aura form around them, consuming them and turning the corrupted warriors into energy, where they shot towards Dark Aldamon and Dark BeoWolfmon, forming a single dark sphere around the duo, which grew in size as it moved into the air.

"Oh no..." Aldamon let out in shock, knowing exactly what was coming.

The dark sphere then shattered, sending out a burst of dark energy, one that even caused Davis and Shadowknight to stop and look ahead, their eyes widening to see a dark version of Susannomon now floating above the battlefield, his armour black and gray and his eyes glowing bright red as he threw back his head and let out a dark, inhuman cry of pure rage and hatred.

"Damn it! Guys, we need Susannomon, right now!" Aldamon alerted the others, getting the other Legendary Warriors, though tired and nervous, to nod in agreement as all Ten began to glow with their respective elemental lights and energies.

"Ancient Spirit Evolution!" All ten Warriors declared, harnessing all their power into one form, with the ten Digimon altering into pure streams of light, the energies shooting and appearing before Dark Susanoomon, which then combined to bring the pure Susanoomon to battle.

"Susanoomon..." Sausanoomon began to announce, but found his dark counterpart slam his entire body into him, crashing the pair into the ground, with Dark Susanoomonon top of him double.

Nearby, the older TK continued battling the Stalkers, looking for a moment to see Dark Susanoomon form, before refocusing on his battle, before, much to his shock, the Stalkers all turned into shadows and flew past him, causing him to turn and see them heading towards the corrupt ancient warrior.

Holding his hands out, the shadow demons seemed to enter Dark Susanoomon, who began twitching violently, much to Susanoomon's shock, which grew as his foe began to change before him.

The Dark Warrior's hands grew, turning into razor sharp claws, while six dark appendages, like a mixture of spider legs and dark tendrils, popped out of his back.

Finally, and most unnerving, Dark Susanoomon's mouth guard opened up, splitting in two, revealing rows upon rows of razor sharp teeth as the corrupted Warrior let out an inhuman shirek, his upper appendages grabbing Susanoomon by his arms and lifting him up, before spinning and throwing him into a building on the other side of the battlefield, causing him to groan out in pain.

"Shit! This isn't good!" The older TK let out, seeing the further corruption done to his lost friends by their enemy, looking up to see another Colossus go down, leaving only one left for Davis and Shadowknight to take down.

'Hurry you two, they need help, now!' The blond thought, watching as the corrupted Susanoomon let out another shriek as dark energy gathered in his claws and at the tips of his appendages, letting out a blast of dark energy at his counterpart, sending Susanoomon crashing through the building he hit and through several others, before the Dark Warrior rushed after his foe.

Back in the Control Room, the remaining Digi-heroes, Appli Drivers and their allies watched the battle with a growing dread, with many wanting to run out and help Susanoomon, only to realize that they would not fare any better then the Elemental Warrior.

Kari, however, watched the screen with a deep determination as she clenched her fist, her body starting to glow as she felt a power grow within her.

"They need me... I won't stay behind this time..." Kari said, the others looking at her in surprise, save Izael, who smiled as Kari was consumed in a bright light.

"Celestial Blade!" Susanoomon called out back upon the battlefield, drawing out his signature weapon, the ZERO-ARMS, which he brought down upon Dark Susanoomon, the impact sending a great shockwave throughout the area, only to look frustrated to see the dark appendages coming out of the dark double's back blocking the blade, before the remaining crashed into his chest, slamming the Elemental Warrior into another row of buildings.

As Susanoomon tried to get up once again, Dark Susanoomon jumped on top of him, stabbing his dark spider-like legs into the Elemental Warrior's body, before sending out pulses of dark energy, shocking Susanoomon's form and causing him, and those that made him, to start screaming in pain.

"Die now..." Dark Susanoomon then said, his voice a continued dreading chill as he brought his right claw up, ready to strike and finish his counterpart off once and for all.

"Perfect." The Dark King said from his throne as he and his allies watched, most smirking wickedly to see the Legendary Warriors about to fall.

"No!" Davis called out, seeing his friends in danger, about to rush to their aide, only to be halted as the Shadow Colossus swung its claw in the way, preventing Davis from going forward.

'It... it can't end like this... we... we need to...' Takuya tried to say through his link to the others and through his pain, but found he couldn't do much as he watched Dark Susanoomon prepare to strike them down.

From within the core of Susanoomon, the embodied forms of the Legendary Warriors looked on, feeling their dread growing to their demise.

But trying to be of comfort to her in their last moments, Takuya slid his arms around Zoe, holding her close and in a protective embrace, an action Ranamon shared briefly as she slid her hand around Koichi's.

Though in their situation, Koichi merely held onto Ranamon's hand, subconsciously grasping a little tighter as he didn't want Ranamon to decline into further panic.

However, and thankfully, before Dark Susanoomon could strike, a powerful blast of light slammed into the corrupt Warriors side, sending him flying and crashing into a building, while releasing his hold on Susanoomon, much to his relief.

Seeing this, Davis, Shadowknight, the Colossus they were fighting, the older TK and even the Dark King, Witch Queen and their servants looked to see the new arrival, with the Witch Queen snarling at the sight she was seeing.

The being looked like they were wearing armour similar to Davis, only slightly different, with her chest covered by a golden breastplate, showing off her cleavage and her stomach, her legs were more armoured compared to her chest, with the leggings matching Davis' in appearance and in design.

Her arms were set with golden bracelets, while a golden circlet, set with a pink gem rested upon her head, which was covered by a white hood, leaving the being looking powerful as two wings of pure light erupted from her back, glowing brightly as they flapped a little, while on her back, four crystal-like blades rested between her wings.

And like Davis, where there should have been skin showing, there was only pure light, leaving those looking at the figure to quickly realize who this was, and it brought a smile to Davis' face.

"Kari...?!" Susanoomon questioned in pain, taken aback by the presence and clear power of the Ascended Digidestined of Light, who nodded her head in reply, her warmth and the light shining around her bringing hope back to the Legendary Warriors, only the sudden sound of Dark Susanoomon's shriek regained their attention, watching the corrupted Susanoomon launch himself at Kari, his right claw brimming with dark energy as he moved to strike.

However, before that could happen, the four crystal blades moved on their own, launching from off of Kari's back, where one moved in intercepted Dark Susanoomon's claw, the Dark Warrior shrieking as he found he couldn't budge the weapon holding his claw back, before the other three moved as one, slicing through some of the dark appendages, causing the dark warrior to shriek in pain as it moved back upon the pure light carving through his being, its wounds healing much slower this time.

"Now we're talking." The older TK said with a proud smirk, before looking around as dozens of Stalkers appeared from the shadows, all rushing at Kari to try and take her down.

But moving her hands around, guiding her weapons, Kari's blades quickly moved with her, cutting through many of the Stalkers, while firing blasts of light energy at them, dissolving them into shadows instantly, before the four came close together, firing a single, massive blast that shot through the Colossus' chest, causing the massive beast to cry out as it dissolved as well, leaving Davis and Shadowknight free to join Kari.

Letting out a loud cry, Dark Susanoomon gathered energy into his claws and appendages, firing a blast of dark energy at the Ascended Digidestined of Light, only for the swords to move in front of Kari, creating a large energy barrier that blocked the attack, much to the corrupted Warrior's rage.

However, with her new powers, and her new eyes, Kari saw something deep within the very core of the corrupted Digimon as she looked at Dark Susanoomon, seeing that, within the darkness that formed him, were small lights, ten of them.

"Is that...?" Kari began questioning aloud, before looking to see Davis land next to her, where she could feel his warm, light and pride in her.

"Not bad. Now, how about we finish this?" Davis suggested, ready to stop the rampaging Dark Susanoomon and end this battle.

"Davis, they're still in there, they're trapped deep within." Kari informed Davis, who looked at Dark Susanoomon, seeing what Kari was seeing, where he looked at her love and nodded, the two moving as one as they rushed at the corrupt Digimon, who let out another inhuman shirek as he sent his appendages forward, trying to strike his foes down.

However, moving in sync with one another, almost as if they could anticipate the other's movements and add to it, between Davis' swords and Kari's crystal blades, the appendages were cut down easily, to which Davis threw his blades, impaling Dark Susanoomon's shoulders and pinning him to the ground, where the the Dark Digimon thrashed in pain front he burning sensation.

Circling around the corrupt Legendary Warrior, Davis and Kari placed their hands together as they focused their energies, a seal of light forming beneath Dark Susanoomon, who began to scream even louder, feeling an intensity of light filling his form.

Those watching had no idea what was happening, before they saw ten small lights glowing on Dark Susanoomon's chest, before the ten lights slowly emerged from out of his being, causing the dark Digimon to lose his colour, looking like a mere shadow as he continued to thrash about.

"You are free, my friends, go, be at peace." Kari said softly as the light moved higher and higher into the sky.

"Free...?... Is it... truly over...?" Tommy's voice was heard amongst the lights, causing Susanoomon's eyes to widen, while the older TK tried holding back tears, happy to hear his friend once again.

"No more pain... no more despair...?" Mercurymon's voice was then heard, sending chills down everyone's spine to hear how much pain and agony these versions of the Legendary Warriors were in.

"Yes. Go, be at rest." Davis said as the lights continued to fly higher, before they noticed Dark Susanoomon's form thrashing about even more.

"NO! THEY ARE MINE, MINE!" A dark voice let out as dozens of dark tendrils erupted from the collapsing form of Dark Susanoomon, rushing upwards towards the lights to grab them and bring them back to him, the voice shocking most watching.

"A Dark One!" Shadowknight let out, to which Kari reachted, his blades moving and forming a barrier between the tendrils and the lights, causing Dark Susanoomon to shirek in rage as his saw Davis and Kari fly to the other side of the barrier and look down at the dark creature below them.

"No, they are free, and you'll never harm them again." Davis said back, his words and refusing tone agreed by Kari, who continued and added. "Return to the darkness, and tell your kind they will not win!"

Placing their hands upon the barrier, Davis and Kari set more of their energies into it, firing off a powerful blast of pure light, consuming Dark Susanoomon as he screamed in pain and rage.

"Heaven's Thunder!" Susanoomon called out, seeing his opportunity to attack and unleashed his attack upon the dark being as well, wanting to make him pay for what it had done to his double, while Shadowknight gathered a massive ball of fire in his hands, throwing it down at Dark Susanoomon.

Consumed in the power of light, along with Susanoomon and Shadowknight's attacks, Dark Susanoomon let out a pain scream as he dissolved into shadows, leaving only a scorched peace of earth where he once was.

Looking back up, those present saw the lights fade into the sky, to which the older TK looked at Davis and Kari and asked, having thought his friends' pain was over before. "Are they truly at rest?"

"Yes, they are at peace now, and the Dark Ones cannot take them again." Kari said reassuringly as she and Davis landed before TK and Shadowknight, with Susanoomon reverting back to the form of the ten Legendary Warriors, before the Digidestined reverted back themselves, with Kari looking at Davis and smiling, one he returned.

However, Kari then felt slightly dizzy and drained, almost falling backwards after using her power, and so much of it, but found Davis acting as he caught her in his arms.

"It takes some getting used to." The maroon haired Digidestined said with a small smile, causing Kari to smile and nod back, before closing her eyes and relaxing herself a little into Davis' embrace.

-Meanwhile-

Back in the Dark Throne Room, most of the dark doubles were nervous as they felt the rage building within the Dark King, especially Dark Rika, who had suggested using the Dark Warriors.

However, the mood changed as the Witch Queen placed her hand on his shoulder, this causing the Dark Davis to look at her as she gave a reassuring look, before she got up and looked around at their servants, her eyes landing on the Dark Jeri.

"You will go, and you will bring them to us. I don't care what it takes, just bring them to us alive." The Witch Queen commanded as she looked at the brunette, who merely looked back at her with a neutral look on her face.

"We will uphold our end of the bargain, so long as you uphold yours." The Dark Jeri merely said in reply, causing the Witch Queen to wave her hand dismissively.

"Yes, yes." The Dark Kari replied, watching the dark brunette turn and leave, the Witch Queen's feeling the many forces under the Dark Jeri's command moving with her, before she looked at ChaosGallantmon.

"You and your little gang back her up, especially if their 'friends' get in the way." The Dark Kari commanded, causing ChaosGallantmon to chuckle lightly, along with Dark Justimon, Black HiAndromon, Dark Suize, Dark Kenta, their partners and their Beelzemon as they moved after Dark Jeri.

About to move themselves, the Henry in the room and BlackTerriermon were about to move, only for BlackRenamon to stop them and say with a seriousness in her tone. "Not you two. Your part will come later."

'You both might have your Ascended forms, but let's see how you deal with this.' The Dark King thought with a smirk, knowing that they still had many tricks up their sleeves and many pawns at their disposal.
