THE ICE CAP ZONE
As Darkseid stood opposite to Sonic and Superman, the hatred between the two opposing sides intensified as they stared each other down. The silence between the sides was broken as Superman spoke.
SUPERMAN: Sonic, go and help the others. Darkseid is mine.
SONIC: But what about you?
SUPERMAN: I'll be fine. NOW GO!
Sonic was surprised by the way he yelled at him as he had never seen him so angry before, but he followed the instructions as he went to go help the others fight off the parademons. As he left, Darkseid just smirked at Superman and said.
DARKSEID: Facing me alone Kal-El? Foolish. The last time we faced each other, you barely held your own against me.
SUPERMAN: Funny, that's not how I remember it.
DARKSEID: Then allow me to refresh your memory.
Darkseid and Superman then charged at each other and caused a shockwave as their fists collided with one another. Darkseid used his omega beams to stun the man of steel then proceeded to pummel him with a barrage of attacks to the chest and then punched Superman in the face which in turn launched him into an iceberg. Superman flew out of the iceberg and tackled Darkseid, carrying him through the air. He delivered fast and hard punches to the new god, then he used a super punch to launch Darkseid into the distance, but Darkseid landed on his feet and was angered by his opponent. Superman charged at Darkseid but he failed to land an attack on him as Darkseid had caught his punch in his hand and then proceeded to punch Superman in the face which launched him across their battlefield only to land harshly on the ground. As Superman was about to get up, Darkseid stood above the man of steel and stomped his foot onto the Kryptonians face.
DARKSEID: This is where you belong Superman, under my heel.
Darkseid then felt his foot starting to burn and as soon as he felt it, two beams of heat erupted from his foot originating from Superman as he used his heat vision to pierce Darkseid's foot. Darkseid lifted his foot from Superman, as he did that Superman then got up quickly and uppercut Darkseid into the air and then flew quickly to where he was and punched him across the air into an iceberg. Darkseid flew up from the iceberg and stared at his opponent, both of their eyes began to glow as they were preparing to fire their omega beams and heat vision at one another. They both fired their attacks at each other causing them to collide and struggle for victory. Superman used all of his might but it was to no avail as Darkseid's omega beams overpowered his heat vision which resulted in Superman being launched away and landing on the ground. Darkseid was slowly floating down to the ground as Superman was struggling to get up. Darkseid landed next to Superman and was reaching his arm down towards him.
DARKSEID: It seems you need a lesson in humility boy.
Darkseid grabbed Superman by the collar of his suit and held him in the air. He then proceeded to throw him across the battlefield, but before he landed Darkseid used his omega beams to launch Superman further across the battlefield and sent him flying into an iceberg. Superman was stuck in the hole his impact made as Darkseid was walking towards him.
DARKSEID: Time to die man of steel.
But just as Darkseid was approaching him, he was hit from behind his leg by an unseen force which caused him to kneel on one knee. He saw the cause of this speed right in front of him as Sonic who was currently in his super form then proceeded to punch Darkseid in the face twice. He went for a third punch but it was caught by Darkseid's hand. Darkseid then stood up still holding the golden hedgehogs fist with anger burning in his eyes.
DARKSEID: YOU DARE STRIKE ME!
Darkseid then gave Sonic a head but which landed the hedgehog on the floor. Sonic then quickly got up and fired numerous blasts at the new god which covered Darkseid in smoke. Before Sonic could even think that the battle was over, Darkseid blasted Sonic with his omega beams which launched Sonic away, while Sonic was disoriented, Darkseid flew to the super hedgehog and kicked him in the gut, and then brought his fists together and brought them down on the hedgehog's head with full force, launching him to the ground. Darkseid charged down to Sonic but he quickly sped away before Darkseid landed on him. Sonic then decided to use his light speed attack and began to run circles around Darkseid. Darkseid couldn't keep track of his movements because he was too fast for him. Sonic then used his speed to quickly deliver a series of super fast punches to Darkseid's face, they were so fast that the force of the punches generated smoke around the area they were in. Sonic then punched Darkseid so hard that Darkseid was sent a few metres back from the hedgehog. Sonic then used his Super Sonic Wind attack which sent a super golden wind blast at the new god. The area was engulfed in smoke. Sonic thought that it was over, that he had won. But that thought was short lived however, as Darkseid appeared from the smoke with his eyes glowing red.
DARKSEID: Flea.
Darkseid then blasted his omega beams at the hedgehog.
SONIC: Uh oh. Gotta move.
Sonic then flew away from the beams thinking that he had gotten away, but then was confused as the beams followed him wherever he went.
SONIC: WHAT THE WHAT? How is that fair?
Sonic flew in all directions at high speeds but the beams kept on following him.
SONIC: HOW AM I GONNA GET THESE THINGS OFF OF ME?
He then saw a parademon and had a quick idea. He raced toward the unsuspecting minion with the beams following close behind, he got there and quickly grabbed the parademon from behind and at the last second just before the beams impacted with him, he put the parademon in front of him and caused the beams to hit the parademon. Darkseid saw this and was surprisingly impressed.
DARKSEID: Impressive. No one has ever dodged my omega beam.
He looked over to where Sonic's friends were only to see them fighting parademons.
DARKSEID: I wonder if your allies are as agile as you are?
Sonic got angered by this and charged toward Darkseid and screamed.
SONIC: LEAVE THEM ALONE! YOU WON'T TOUCH THEM YOU MONSTER!
Darkseid saw this and reacted by catching Sonic's fist and throwing him into an iceberg with extreme force, knocking the hedgehog out and causing him to lose his super form. Darkseid smirked but then was blasted from behind from one of Iron Man's repulsor rays.
IRON MAN: Alright tall, dark and rocky. My turn.
DARKSEID: You? You're a mere human, what do you have that will stand against me?
Iron Man then brought out the Reality Stone and summoned an army of Iron Legion armours.
IRON MAN: Oh, I have this.
The armours then flew toward Darkseid and blasted him with their own repulsor rays. This didn't affect Darkseid in the slightest and Tony knew that it wouldn't, he just hoped that it would buy the others enough time to make the trap. He was helping with the trap, but saw the others in danger and decided to buy Tails and Lex some time. Darkseid grew tired of these games and decided to end these fools quickly. He used his omega beams to disintegrate every last armour he could see. He then saw Tony holding the Stone and charged toward him with extreme force. Tony saw this and was about to use the Stone but as he held it up, Darkseid was already there in front of him and punched the Stone with so much power that the impact it made caused an explosion of power that sent the both of them flying in opposite directions, while the Stone itself was badly damaged from the attack and resulted in the Stone cracking.
Darkseid stood up with minimal damage from the blast while Iron Man stood up but his suit was badly damaged. He fired his unibeam at Darkseid but it did nothing. Darkseid launched himself over to Iron Man and punched him through an iceberg, knocking him out. Superman had finally regained consciousness and saw both Sonic and Iron Man down for the count with Darkseid standing over Iron Man. Seeing his new friends badly injured from Darkseid enraged him and launched himself into the sky. Darkseid stood over Iron Man victorious.
DARKSEID: And now to deal with…
Darkseid saw a hovering shadow looming over him and turned around.
DARKSEID: YOU!
He saw Superman hovering over him, staring him down. Superman then charged Darkseid into the ground and then grabbed him by the throat and lifted him up into the air and punched across the battlefield. Darkseid got up and stared at the man of steel who was charging forward at Darkseid with extreme speeds.
