Job 11: Stop the Chop
Back at the Safehouse, Grizz is the latest crook to be caught alongside Raleigh, he's been cuffed and darted to sleep, while Raleigh has been cuffed and duck taped over the mouth
Okwaho exits the safehouse and proceeds to the left forest just before the wood mill. He concentrates his mind, and we see from his own perspective (it's in the shape of an arrowhead), similar to how the Guru had his own version of the binocucom, Bentley's face is on the left, Okwaho's is on the right.
"Before we can fully stop the other two barbarians, as you aptly put them, we need to close down the woodmill, so no more trees can be processed. My explosives make too much noise, but your arrows and tomahawk can do the job." informed Bentley.
"If there is destruction to be stopped, I'll accept the task." replied Okwaho with dignity.
"There are some weak areas in the machinery for your arrows to shoot at and a few pipes to hack up with your tomahawk." Without further ado, Okwaho proceeds to the woodmill door but discovers not only that it's locked but a wire line in the snow that from what he sees, leads to Miss Decibel's cabin.
"Interesting, Jean Bison knew someone like us would come, and have Miss Decibel provide entry. Stay out of sight for now, I'll send Sly to handle the situation there." Okwaho hides in the nearby forest without complaining and on the opposite side, Sly enters Miss Decibel's cabin through an open window.
Sly is now in the 2nd floor of the cabin, which is chock full of books on shelves, and some phonograph records, plus a player. He proceeds to the stairs, only to hear some dialogue from afar.
"….Well Mr. Bison, things aren't going to be so easy now that we have both Sir Raleigh and Grizz now out of commision, caught by the Thieving Cooper Gang." Miss Decibel speaks.
"I think we'll just have to find a way to lure 'em Cooper varmints into some trap, oh well, at least Grizz found me a nice gold nugget from the mountain thanks to all them Native Wolves mining under yer hypnotic spell. I'll bet there's more of 'em in dere!" Jean Bison spoke while on some intercom.
"There's no explosives or more weather machines that are active since that Submersible of Raleigh's has been decommissioned, so we'll just have to do with what we've got."
"Fear not, me lucky pachyderm! I got plenty o dynamite to help satiate our search for the gold too! We'll be haulin' in the riches in no time eh? Yeh got me word sweets!"
"Oh thank you Mr. Bison, you're so much better than that filthy, back-stabbing, two-timing ex-boyfriend, Cyrille Le Paradox."
Sly peers down, and sees Miss Decibel at some terminal at one end, and at the other, a piano connected to a wire, the same one that opens the door. Bentley's voice can be heard.
"So the piano is how we can gain access to the woodmill! Sly, plant the music box on the table, I adjusted it with two different tunes, one to distract and the other to put even Miss Decibel to sleep, then hide under a nearby table. I'll break out the sleep tune when she comes up the stairs." Sly does exactly as he's said, and no sooner does he hide then the distracting tune starts to play.
"What's that sweet sound?" questions Miss Decibel, as she treks upstairs. As she reaches the top of the stairs, the 2nd tune plays, and at the same time Miss Decibel picks up Sly's scent.
"Hmmm…...I smell…...a…...raccoon…..." Miss Decibel slowly falls straight to sleep. Sly exits his safe area and heads down the stairs to the piano.
"Time to put my piano playing skills to use, no time for a sonata for Carmelita." Sly readies his hands over the keys, Bentley's voice can be heard.
"Here's the song to play Sly:"
Sly receives this encryption: Flat, Sharp, Base, Sharp, Base, Flat, Alto, Flat, Tenor, Base, Sharp. From afar the door to the wood mill opens, and Okwaho can now enter.
Inside the woodmill there are conveyor belts carrying large logs from the outside, plenty of circular saws, and straight saws in the machinery. There are also some walrus and moose guards all around, so Okwaho is going to have to be careful not to raise alarm in here. Bentley's voice can be heard.
"If you shoot your arrows into the mechanism you should stop the conveyor belts, you've got six areas in the middle to shoot at."
Okwaho does this for the first long belt, which is easy where he's standing since the belt is quite wide from top to bottoms and the gears are an easy three shots. From there, Okwaho secretly makes his way to the next belt, this one's harder as there are guards around. He'll have to shoot when the arrow would not be in the line of sight for the guards, so Okwaho will have to be more patient here. Eventually it gets done, none of the guards hear the arrows as they get shot into the gears underneath. Bentley's voice can be heard again.
"Now we got four wires in here that need to be severed and then this job is done." There are some exposed wired that Okwaho can cut with his tomahawk, but he has to first distract the guards away from the areas with his howl, and then come over and sever the wires, since the chopping generates noise. The first wire is easy since there's no guard around, the second and third ones start to get difficult as a guard patrols the wires. The 4th one is the most difficult as there are two guards in that area instead of one, and eluding them proves to be trickier as he'll have to distract and then immediately hide behind a wall. The guards almost catch him but he is able elude and then sever the wire. In a matter of seconds the entire wood mill closes down. Jean Bison's voice is heard.
"Wha in tarnation? Ma wood mill's down. Blast those Cooper varmints!"
