Author's Note: Welcome to the ending of the end! We've been through a wild ride with this story and there were many ups and downs throughout it and we see how each character developed each chapter. Rarity learned that Hugo isn't a bad pony for Sweetie Belle, she just had a clouded judgment when she met Hugo and not realizing what kind of person he was. She just assumed that he was a beggar, but didn't personally get to know him during the story.
Although some parts were dark, we didn't mean to offend those who lived through these circumstances, but we do apologize if we did.
I wish that I can tell you guys more about the upcoming sequel that we have, but Daniel and I agree to keep it a secret for now until we're ready to spill the tea with our wonderful readers that had stuck through us during this difficult time. Writing this whole story in quarantine was rather fun because I finally get to be able to complete a whole chapter book for the first time XD.
With other stories that I'm currently working on, this one was the first for me to ever complete a full book and I thought I'd never do that, but I've been telling myself not to give up and keep myself pushing forward. Anyway, here's the epilogue of the story and thank you guys for sticking with us!

Epilogue
~One Year Later~
"What is taking so long? Are she and foal doing alright?" Hugo asked, pacing around as he waited for the news about Sweetie Belle and their unborn child, "if they let me in I would have been comforting her already!"
Upon noticing the worry in his friend's voice, Louis glanced up from the book he was sharing with his daughter, Eventide, and smiled at him. "Relax, Hugo. The doctors wouldn't allow you in because it's inappropriate for you to look at. You don't want to faint like Rainbow Dash, do you?" Louis asked with a smirk, winking at him.
He found the incident pretty funny since, during their Hearth's Warming Eve party, Sweetie Belle had gone into labor in the kitchen where Rainbow Dash, Starlight, and Apple Bloom had to be and in that moment while helping her out of Twilight's castle, Rainbow Dash fainted, thinking that they would have to deliver the baby in the kitchen until Starlight had tried to reassure her that they'll be in the hospital.
"No," Hugo responded, as he stopped pacing around, "it is my first time as a father. Mon pere did not teach me about this at all." He looked down sadly since he did have limited time with his parents because the Germans had invaded Canada during World War One. Although he did get a few parenting tips from Louis and Shining Armour, he was still freaked out about it no matter how many times he told himself to calm down and everything will be alright.
To ease the tension, Eventide glanced up from the book she was reading and closed it with her magic. She was an adorable little filly with a salmon coat, an indigo mane with a peach stripe in the center. She also wore glasses due to bad vision and has violet eyes. Like most fillies her age, she doesn't have a cutie mark but made promising signs of doing her studies regarding astronomy. Similar to her cousin Flurry Heart, she was also born an alicorn, much to the shock of Louis and Twilight.
"I'm sure that Sweetie Belle and the little foal will be alright. My dad was calm when I was born," Eventide responded with a smile, prompting Hugo to take a breath of relief. "though, my mom wasn't."
Hugo smiled and remembered that day as well, much to his surprise. He was even shocked that Louis and Twilight began their relationship after his and Sweetie Belle's wedding since they both bonded over science and history.
Twilight chuckled when her daughter brought up what happened when she was born. "Yeah, I freaked out when I went into labor and said some not nice things to your father," Twilight said, smiling sheepishly as her cheeks turned pink. They all paused when a scream from the hospital room that Sweetie Belle was currently occupied in. Hugo swallowed nervously as he felt his heart racing in his chest, afraid that it might burst out of it.
After everything had calmed down, the only sounds that could be heard were a sound of a baby crying and voices could be heard through the door. Hugo waited impatiently as he recognized the sound of footsteps coming near the doorway, prompting Hugo to take a step back and allow the doctor to open the door first.
"Mr. Beaufort, is it?" he asked, looking at his clipboard and looking around. Once he did, he made eye contact with the stallion who is named Hugo Beaufort, "she's ready to see you now." With that, Hugo, Twilight, Louis, and Eventide all got up and walked inside the room, following the doctor. As soon as they were in, Hugo looked up and noticed his exhausted and tired wife, holding a little filly in her arms.
"Sweetie Belle," he said, galloping towards her side and grinned when she showed him the baby, "she is so beautiful." Tears welled up in his eyes, as they fear he had before washed over him at the sight of his new daughter, "have you thought of a name?"
Sweetie Belle grinned at the sight of her daughter. She looked so cute and surprisingly like her. Just like her mother, the little filly was a unicorn with a white coat and a strand of pink hair. Her eyes remained closed and wouldn't open in a few days.
"No, I haven't. Have you?" she asked, looking at her husband tiredly with a sigh.
Hugo blushed when he spotted the Hearth's Warming decorations around the room. He assumed that Paris might be in the Christmas season and he remembered the name his mother had once told him. "How about Noël?" Hugo asked while gazing at his daughter lovingly with a smile.
Sweetie Belle thought for a moment, realizing the name does sound original, "It's a very beautiful name. What does it mean?"
"It means...born on Christmas," Louis said with a smile while looking at the happy couple as he wrapped a hoof around Twilight.
"That sure is a beautiful name, Hugo. It's very unique," Twilight beamed happily.
Hugo nodded, giving the doctor to write down his child's new name. Once that was complete, the doctor smiled happily as he left the room, leaving the new parents to introduce themselves to their daughter.
"Bonjour, my little Noël. I am your mon pere and the mare that you are being held right now is your mon mere. I hear to promise you that we will do whatever we can to protect you and love you each day. You are the light of our world and no one is not going to replace you. Ever," Hugo vowed, looking down at his daughter lovingly. With Louis, Twilight, and Eventide around him, Hugo knew for certain that he feels grateful for meeting the mare of his dreams.
If he hadn't gone to Paris, then he wouldn't have the chance to meet Sweetie Belle and start a new life with her, something that he's thankful for. She was his blessing, and he believed that the spirit of his parents had sent her to him.
His guardian angel.
He promised himself that he'll always guide Noël, no matter what the future may hold.
