Wanted to tell something about this chapter...we have always seen that Salunkhe always taunts Abhijeet but Abhijeet never speaks anything against him. I have tried to portray Abhijeet's confrontation here with Salunkhe.

Days were going on smoothly. Tarika was recovering day by day. But things were not going good for Abhijeet. He was feeling suffocated inside. He couldn't share anything with anyone else. He was unable to convince himself for anything. He was feeling defeated. Although he has decided to wait till Tarika fully recovers but this wait is killing him inside. In front of team, he has managed to hide his feelings well.

One fine day Abhijeet with Freddy and Tasha went to a crime scene. A woman was murdered in her own house and his husband was not around. Neighbours were suspecting his husband as a killer. They were doing primary investigations. Freddy was about to take the pictures of the dead body when Abhijeet took the camera from his hand and said –

Freddy bahar neighbours se poochtach kro.

(To Tasha) tum ja kr bahr dukaan walo se poochtach kro.

Freddy (confused tone) – Sir

Abhijeet – Han

Freddy – Sir abhi toh body ki outline bhi nhi hui h aur pictures bhi…

Abhijeet – Voh sab main krunga… Tum log jao.

Both were confused at this. Usually, they do the outlining and pictures of dead body. And Abhijeet goes to investigate the neighbours. But here he was doing basics and sent them to investigate. They did as instructed. Here Abhijeet started the basic investigations around the body. Basically he wanted to work alone and don't want presence of anyone around.

After investigation, they went to bureau. Abhijeet has gone to forensic lab to inform Salunkhe about his findings. Here unable to control his confusion anymore Freddy told ACP and Daya everything that happened at crime scene.

ACP Pradyuman – Agar Abhijeet ne tum logo ko bahr ja ke investigate krne ko kaha toh usme kya problem h.

Freddy – Sir lekin voh khud ek bar bhi bahr nahi aaye. Basic investigation jo hum log krte h voh hame krne hi nhi di. Sab khud hi kiya.

Voice – Toh kya hua Freddy.

Abhijeet came to bureau. He has listened all what Freddy and Tasha narrated.

Abhijeet – Bolo Freddy… Kya problem h tumhe.

Freddy – Aise koi baat nhi h sir…main toh bs… (interruppted)

Abhijeet – Freddy kab tkk tumhe sirf dead body ki basic investigation krni h. Aur kb tkk hamare piche hi rehna h tum logon ko. Agar kll ko hum log nhi honge toh kya kroge. Aage nahi bdhna h tumhe?

Freddy – Sir please aesa mat kahiye.

Abhijeet – Freddy hum kisi waqt kisi mission mein bhi ho skte h. Ho skta h koi bhi senior available na ho toh kya kroge. Mauka ka fayda uthana seekho Freddy. Aaj ke zamane mein yahi hota h. Log mauke ka fayda uthate h.

Saying so he left. He was confused for his own choice of words. Did he mean that someone near to him has cheated on him? How could he think so? He cursed himself for thinking so. He was feeling guilty for passing such judgement. He decided to investigate the matter.

At lunch time, Abhijeet Daya and ACP Pradyuman were discussing the case.

ACP Pradyuman – Mujhe lagta h k es ladki ka murder iske pati ne hi kiya h.

Daya – Han sir…aur murder krke bhag gya h.

Abhijeet was silent. Actually thinking about his own problem. ACP and Daya noticed this.

ACP Pradyuman – Abhijeet tumhe kya lagta h?

Abhijeet (lost in thoughts) – Ho skta ye kisi ki sajish ho. Uske pati ko phasane ke liye. Ho skta h k jo dikhaya ya btaya ja raha h voh sab jhooth ho. Aur sach kuch aur hi nikle. Hume is angle se bhi sochna hoga.

ACP Pradyuman – Han Abhijeet ho skta h… hume zroor is angle pr kaam krna chahiye.

Meanwhile Purvi called Abhijeet and and Abhijeet left.

Daya – Sir aapne Abhijeet ko… (interuppted)

ACP Pradyuman – Daya main janta hun vo is case ke baare mein baat nahi kr raha tha. Apne hi khyaalon mein khoya hua tha. Mere uski baat ko appreciate krne k 2 reasons the. Ek toh boh uljha hua tha kisi baat par. Mere uski han mein han milane se use lagega k voh sahi rah pr ja raha h. uski uljhan kam ho jayegi. Aur doosra reason ye k use pta chl gya tha k mujhe pta h k voh case pr dhyaan nhi de pa raha h. isliye aage se voh careful bhi ho jayega k apni uljhano se nikal kr use apni duty pr bhi dhyaan dena h. Vo is waqt jis bhi baat ko lekr pareshan h uska solution jaldi nikal lega. (complete dissapointed tone) Vrna kisi se kuch share kr lene mein toh uski shaan kam ho jaye gi na…

Daya nodded and got back to his work. In the late evening time, ACP Pradyuman and Abhijeet were sitting in ACP's house and discussing a case. Dr. Salunkhe was also present there. After an hour the discussion was over and ACP decided to prepare tea for three of them. Dr. Salunkhe also gone for a quick freshen up session. Meanwhile Abhijeet made a call to Tarika to aske about her well being and to remind her of her medicines. Abhijeet has a habit of reminding Tarika about her medicines and diet so that she can recover soon.

Soon ACP came back with tea for all and Salunkhe too after his freshen up session. Abhijeet was about to take a sip when Salunkhe casually asked –

Aree bhai Abhijeet tum Tarika ka khyaal toh rakhte ho na… Dekh lena uski taraf se tumhari koi complaint aayi na toh ye Salunkhe tumhe chodega nahi.

Abhijeet put his tea cup back on the table and said in a very straight tone –

Ek kaam kijiye sir… aap khud hi jakr Tarika se pooch lijiye k mere khilaaf usee koi complaint h k nahi. Kyunki main toh aapko jhooth bhi bol sakta hun na. es waqt toh main bhi yahin baitha hun toh ho skta h k voh mere zulmon ki dastan aapko suna de.

Dr. Salunkhe (keeping the tone as casual as he can) – Aree voh toh tumhare peeche se bhi tumhare khilaaf kuch nahi bolegi.

Abhijeet – Toh isme bhi mera hi kasoor h sir… yahi kehna chahte h na aap.

Dr. Salunkhe – Abhijeet tum kyu serious le rahe ho baat ko. Maine esa bhi kuch nahi kaha h. Bs tumse uska haal chaal hi poocha h.

Abhijeet – Nahi aapne uska haal chaal nahi poocha h sir. Aapne toh ye poocha h k kahin main usee tang toh nahi kr rha. Aapne kabhi mujhse poocha h k main kaisa hun. Kya main theek hun. Aapko toh shayd sirf mujhme kasoor hi nazar aate h. Agar Tarika ki tbiyat theek nahi h toh zroor maine us par koi zulm kiya hoga. Agar voh upset h toh zroor main usee kuch bura bhala kaha hoga. Agar voh khush h toh shayd usne mujhse breakup kr liya hoga kyunki usee samajh mein aagya hoga k Abhijeet kitna bura insaan h. Usee samajh aagya hoga k Abhijeet toh aawara aadmi h.. hena. Aur kahin usee koi chot lag jaye toh voh bhi meri vajeh se shayd maine us par haath uthaya ho. Mujhse shaadi krke toh vo mere changul mein phas gyi h. Main jab chahe jo krun uske sath…hena. Agar main bimaar pad gya, goli lag gyi ya kuch bhi hamla hogya mujh par usme bhi mera hi dosh kyunki maine toh ussee sewa krwane ke liye bistar pakad liya h aur main uska dhyaan kaise rakhunga.

Kya zindagi mein kabhi aapne ye jaanne ki koshish ki k main kaisa hun. Zinda hun ya mara hun. Hamesha mujhse aap poochna chahte h k kya main aapki pyari beti Tarika ka khyaal rakhta hun ya nahi… Main toh aapka kuch nahi lgta na. Sirf ek esa collegue hun jis aapko kabhi bhrosa nahi ho sktah. pr kya apne kabhi Tarika se poocha k Abhijeet kaisa h. Usee koi takleef toh nahi. Tum uska khyaal rakh rahi ho k nahi. Kyunki jahan tkk main janta hun k shaadi do log mil kar nibhate h aur ek doosre ka khyaal rakhte h. EK baat btayiye sir aap mujhe… kabhi main mar gya toh bhi aap mera hi kasoor nikalenge na k maine mar ke Tarika ki zindagi barbaad krdi? Yahin plan h aapka?

Dr. Salunkhe – Abhijeet mera voh matlab…(interuppted)

Abhijeet – Aapke matlab main achi tarah samjhta hun. Chai pi lijiye sir aapke dost ne bnai h. Maine bnai hoti toh shayd aapko khatra hota k kahin maine zehar toh nhi mila diya!

Saying so, Abhijeet left. After leaving from there he noticed Daya standing on the main gate. His worried expressions told him that he listened all. But he didn't stop there and left!
