Chapter 14: To the Next Level!
"Shredder and Krang's forces are getting more numerous, no matter how many we take out!" cried Brock. Ash turned to his friends and the other Pokémon Trainers gathered. "Guys, I think it's time that we make use of our Pokémon's Mega Evolutions!" said Ash. "But some of us haven't even tested our Mega Stones yet," said Misty. "And I'm still having problems with my Ampharos' Mega Evolution," said Casey. "I know. But it may be the only way to help turn the tide of this battle! We got to give it a try!" said Ash. "Ash is right. We have to do this," said Gary. "Okay. Let's do it to it!" said Ash.

Ash activated his Key Stone and Charizard's Charizardite Y began to glow. Charizard was surrounded by an energy orb. Seconds later, the orb shattered, revealing Mega Charizard Y. When Mega Evolved as Mega Charizard Y, Charizard became more sleek and expansive in appearance, but retains its normal coloration. However, it now had white pupils. It had three pointed horns on the back of its head, the middle of which was longer. Its shorter snout had larger fangs and a ridge on the nose. Its neck was shorter and its hands were much smaller, but its torso and legs were longer. Small wings developed on its wrists, while the ones on its back became larger and now had ragged edges. The back of its tail had a large thorn at the base and three smaller ones near the tip, which now burned with a longer flame.
"My turn," said Liza. She activated the Key Stone in her staff. Charla was then transformed into Mega Charizard X. As Mega Charizard X, her body and legs appeared more physically fit, though her arms remained thin. Her skin turned black with a sky blue underside extending from the lower jaw to the tip of the tail. Two spikes with blue tips curved upward from the front and back of each shoulder, while the tips of her horns sharpen, turned blue, and curved slightly upward. Her brow and claws were larger, her snout was shorter, and her eyes were now red with white pupils. She had two small, fin-like spikes under each horn and two more down her lower neck. The lower trims of her wings were divided into large, rounded points and each third joint was adorned with a claw-like spike. As Mega Charizard X, Charla now breathed blue flames out the sides of her mouth, and the flame on her tail now burned blue with increased heat. In addition, her lips changed from pink to blue.
"Ready, my love?" asked Charla. "I was born ready!" said Mega Charizard Y. "Charizard . . . ," said Ash. "Charla . . . ," said Liza. "Blast Burn attack!" said both Trainers. Both Mega Charizards' bodies became engulfed in light blue flames. They then then punched the ground, sending a wave of energy into the earth which then moved underneath the a whole bunch of Shredder and Krang's forces. The energy then burst upwards in a giant explosion of red-orange flames, destroying the machines and Stone Warriors. They fell before the two Charizards' ultimate attacks.
Ash's Mewtwo and Mikala transformed into Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y without key stones. They began to levitate a whole bunch of Stone Warrior remains with their telekinesis. They then threw them at a whole bunch of Shrednauts, destroying them.
"Ready Lance?" asked Misty. "Yes," said Lance. Both Misty and Lance activated their Key Stones and their Gyaradoses' Gyaradosites began to react. Their Gyaradoses transformed into Mega Gyaradoses. A Mega Gyarados was bulkier than its previous form. The fins on its face, its barbels, and its crest were now considerably longer. A large spike extended downward underneath its chin, and it now had a black underside. The yellow spots along its body were replaced by raised red scales that ran down its side with a single red stripe below them. Two large white fins appeared on its back, similar to those on its face. Most of the other fins along its back disappeared, except for the one near the tail. Instead, it now had four white, pointed fins near is tail: two on its back and two on its underside. Lance's Mega Gyarados was still red. Its raised scales were black instead of red. The two Mega Gyarados fired their Hydro Pump attacks, which were more powerful than ever. The Hydro Pump attacks hit a whole bunch of Foot Bots. This caused them all to short circuit and explode.
Brock and Bruno activated their Key Stones and their Steelixes transformed into Mega Steelixes. As Mega Steelix, a Steelix's body became longer, almost doubled its mass, and gained more features. Mega Steelix's eyes turned blue and its lower jaw became more heavily armored with a round, curved shape. Additionally, a third pair of ridges appeared on its bottom jaw, as well as two sharp, flat structures consisting of three conjoined projections on each side. The gray, rock-like spikes and its tail point had transformed into prism-like crystalline spikes; the segments from which the spikes protruded are much larger as well. In-between the head and individual spiked segments were smaller units, now adorned by a black spot with a blue hexagon on each side. Several metallic-looking scraps constantly rotate around its neck; these scraps react to Mega Steelix's movements and change position when attacking. Brock's Mega Steelix activated its Iron Tail attack. It whacked a whole bunch of Technorovers, toppling them over along with their Foot Ninja or Stone Warrior pilots. Bruno's Mega Steelix seized a Giant Stone Warriors in its jaws and began thrashing it around like how a carnivorous animal thrashes its prey. It then bit harder and the Giant Stone Warrior fell to pieces.
"You ready, Blastoise?" asked Gary. "Blas," said Blastoise. Gary activated his Key Stone and Blastoise's Blastoisite invoked its transformation into Mega Blastoise. As Mega Blastoise, it developed two smaller shells over its arms, each with their own water cannon. The two cannons on its back were replaced by a single, central water cannon of greater size. This cannon extended forward over Mega Blastoise's head and is said to have a blast range of over 6 miles (10 km). Small ridges developed over its, now red, eyes and extended to its ears. The ears angled slightly backward and there was a small point on its chin. "Blastoise, Hydro Cannon!" said Gary. Mega Blastoise fired three powerful orbs of water, one from each cannon. The three orbs hit some razor jets, destroying them.
"Let's turn these invaders into mulch!" said Leaf. She activated her Key Stone and Venusaur transformed into Mega Venusaur. As Mega Venusaur, the flower on its back grew larger and two smaller pink flowers bloomed, one on its forehead and one on its rear. The weight of the flower caused its legs to become sturdier in order to support it. Additional leaves with woody stems, which were supported by vines, were grown around the flower. Mega Venusaur also developed dark markings on its forehead below the new flower. "Frenzy Plant!" said Leaf. Mega Venusaur's body became outlined light green and it stomped on the ground. Giant roots with spikes on them came out of the ground and struck some Giant Stone Warriors, Technorovers and Shrednauts.
Ritchie activated his Key Stone and Cruise became a Mega Tyranitar. Mega Tyranitar had more gaps in its armor than its normal form, with four new triangular holes along the sides of its neck and one on its throat. The four on its chest were now larger with the top two containing red ovals. While the spikes along the back of its neck grew shorter, the ones on its head elongated to form prominent ridges along its brows. The center spike on its head became a long, upright horn. Its chest plate expanded, curving over its shoulders and along its back to form three long, irregular spikes on each side of its body. The scales on Mega Tyranitar's belly had now become red instead of blue and seethe with energy, enabling it to emanate more power. It gained two sharp spikes on its knees, as well as more prominent leg joints. Its tail lengthened, with the three spikes surrounding its tip growing upward and outward. "Cruise, Hyper Beam!" said Ritchie. Cruise fired a Hyper Beam, which reduced some Stone Warriors to rubble.
Sabrina activated her Key Stone and her Alakazam transformed into Mega Alakazam. As Mega Alakazam, it gained a large white beard and its mustache became larger and white. The armor-like sections became bulkier, and its upper body section becoming slightly shorter to reveal its thin stomach. The head became diamond-shaped, but it kept its four spikes. Additionally, it gained a large, oval, red organ in the center of its forehead. The organ is said to emit psychic power. Its lower legs became longer and slimmer and its feet became skinnier and resembled talons. It gained three additional spoons, for a total of five that it levitates in the air. Alazakam hurled its spoons at some Foot Bots, disarming them of their laser guns. Mega Alakazam then fired a Psybeam, which reduced them to scrap metal.
"Jynx, let's turn down the heat," said Lorelei. She activated the Key Stone on her necklace and her Jynx's Jynxite reacted. Jynx was transformed into a Mega Jynx. Its appearance almost resembled a harem girl. As Mega Jynx, its red skirt became thinner, but now, its midriff was exposed. The red skirt now had gold stripes, that divided the skirt and the midriff. The golden circles were now replaced with diamond-shaped and tit now looked like Jynx was wearing a bra made of ice. A ice-like, diamond-shaped gem was above her ice bra. Its arms were still red and her face was still black and hands were still dark blue. But Jynx's blond hair had grown shorter, but part of it covered its right eye. With its hair grown shorter, its red shoulders were now exposed. There were gold stripes that divided the shoulders and its arms. It had ice blue veils on its arms. Mega Jynx's lips were still pink, but its eyes now had eyelashes. "Jynx, use Blizzard!" said Lorelei. "Jynx," said Mega Jynx. Mega Jynx then summoned a blizzard, which froze up some of Krang's forces.
"Gengar, let's give them a haunting they'll never forget," said Agatha. She activated her Key Stone and her Gengar transformed into Mega Gengar. As Mega Gengar, a portion of its body sunk into the ground. The lower portions turned a more reddish purple, and a third eye appeared on its forehead. This new unblinking eye was oval, yellow, and allowed it to see into other dimensions. The spikes on Mega Gengar's back were more numerous and pointed. Additionally, spikes appeared on its hands and tail. Its ears were now considerably longer and project backward. "Gengar!" snarled Gengar. "Gengar, use Night Shade!" said Agatha. Gengar fired some black beams of energy from its eyes, destroying some Stone Warriors.
"Ampharos, I know we haven't been able to master your mega evolution, but we need it more than ever. The world's depending on us and our friends!" said Casey. Ampharos nodded. Casey activated her Key Stone and Ampharos transformed into Mega Ampharos. As Mega Ampharos, its toes turned black and it grew white wool at the back of its head and over its tail. Its long wooly tail had many small, red orbs attached to it. Its conical ears retained their stripes, but were now segmented with swirled tips. When it increased the amount of electrical energy within itself, the red orbs on its body and wool emit a strong light. "Ampharos, show the Foot the power of Thunder Punch!" said Casey. Mega Ampharos' fists began to crackle with electricity. It punched a bunch of Foot Bots, electrocuting them and overloading them until they went KA-BOOM!
"Blaziken, let's dazzle the world with your Mega Evolution!" said May. She activated her Mega Bracelet and her Blaziken transformed into Mega Blaziken. As Mega Blaziken, it loses its yellow markings, and gained black markings on its upper legs and chest. Its hair-like feathers take on a wing-like shape and pointed upward, and the portion around its chest was rough around its shoulders. The crest on its head changed into a flat horn that curved backward. The fire it created on its wrists was now longer as well. "Blaziken, Blaze Kick!" said May. "Blaziken!" roared Mega Blaziken. Mega Blaziken jumped kicked a Stone Warrior, knocking it down. Kamen Rider Ichigo saw this. "You sure know how to kick," said Ichigo. "Blaze," said Blaziken. "Let me show you how we did it in the old days," said Ichigo. He saw that the Stone Warrior was getting back up. Kamen Rider Ichigo jumped into the air. "Rider Kick!" said Ichigo as he descended toward the Stone Warrior, with his foot extended. He kicked the Stone Warrior, sending it flying into the air. It then exploded into rubble. Mega Blaziken then did a Blaze Kick in the style of a Rider Kick. It kicked a Foot Bot, sending it crashing into ten more Foot Bots. When it hit the ten others, they were all engulfed in a fiery explosion. Blaziken roared in victory.
"Swampert, Mega Evolve!" said Brendan. He activated the key stone and Swampert transformed into Mega Swampert. As Mega Swampert, this Pokémon gained considerable bulk. Its upper body and arms were more muscular, while its lower body was smaller in comparison. The raised patches above its feet vanish, but it gained two additional ones on each wrist and one on each shoulder. The bumps and its gills became a darker, redder shade of orange, and the gills were now larger and extended slightly past its mouth. The black fins on its head were shorter, more streamlined, and extended down past its shoulders. The tail fin now formed a short ridge that extends up to this Pokémon's forehead. Mega Swampert's fingers and toes were more defined, and its fingers turned black. Mega Swampert roared. It then began to smash a couple of Foot Bots with its fists.
"Gallade, your turn!" said Wally. He activated the key stone and Gallade transformed into Mega Gallade. As Mega Gallade, red plates emerged on its arms, and the helmet and cape-like protrusions on its head and back gave it a knightly appearance. When the situation demands, Mega Gallade can use its psychic power to reshape both arms into blades simultaneously, and fight using a dual-wielding style. Its upper body becames white, and the spikes on its head elongated. Mega Gallade charged and began to slice lots of robots to ribbons.
Solidad was currently fighting a bunch of Foot Ninjasks and razor jets. "Pidgeot, let's turn the tide of this fight, girl," said Solidad. She activated her Key Stone and her Pidgeot transformed into Mega Pidgeot. Pidgeot grew noticeably when it Mega Evolves, with a larger body and longer, broader wings. Its wingtips and tail feathers were tipped with blue, and its cream coloring was now white. Its eyes turned red, and its pupils turned white. Mega Pidgeot had an even more elaborate crest on its head, with a streamer-like red plume extending from a mane of yellow feathers. A red feather projected from the front of its crest and a there was a single red highlight on the left side. The crest was sensitive to air currents, acting like a large antenna and stabilizing Mega Pidgeot's flight. Additionally, its increased wing power allows it to produce gust capable of destroying huge trees. "Pidgeot, Gust attack!" said Solidad. Mega Pidgeot began to create gusts of wind with the flap of its mighty wings. Ash's Pidgeot also joined in as well. The combined gust attacks trapped the flying enemies in a windy vortex.
"Lopuuny, are you ready?" asked Dawn. Lopunny nodded. Dawn activated her Mega Ring and Lopunny transformed into Mega Lopunny. As Mega Lopunny, its personality drastically changed, becoming extremely aggressive with wild fighting instincts. The fur on its neck, upper torso, fingers, and legs blackened, forming a pattern on the legs that resembled ripped pantyhose. The tufts of fur above its eyes combined to form a single butterfly-shaped crest. The cream fur on its wrists and ankles became more round instead of fluffy, but the rest of its lower leg fur was replaced by the "pantyhose." Its ear fur now only covered two segments of each ear in fluffy bands. A full-power strike from Mega Lopunny's ears can crumple steel plates. Piplup's eyes turned into pink hearts and his heart pounded with love at the sight of Mega Lopunny. "Lopunny, Dizzy Punch!" said Dawn. Mega Lopunny began to rapidly punch some Stone Warriors. Small rock chunks were sent flying every time Mega Lopunny punched a Stone Warrior. The Stone Warriors became confused. So confused they began attacking each other. Krang did a tentacle palm. "You can't get good help these days," mumbled Krang.
Cynthia activated her Key Stone and her Garchomp transformed into a Mega Garchomp. When Garchomp Mega Evolves, it grew in size and several of its features become more angular, including its head and shoulders. A row of five tooth-like spikes sprouted from each side of its abdomen, and red spikes grew from its knees. The claws and fins on its arms melted from the excessive Mega Evolution energy and morphed together to form sharp, red blades. In this state, Garchomp was known to become mad with rage, and in its anger, slices the ground to pieces with its scythe-like blades. "Garchomp, Dragon Claw!" said Cynthia. Mega Garchomp charged at a bunch of Foot Bots as its claws glowed green. It sliced the Foot Bots to pieces. The pieces then exploded behind Mega Garchomp.
Lisia activated her Key Stone and Altaria's Altarianite began to glow. She then mega evolved into Mega Altaria. Mega Altaria had more extensive cloud-like plumage, with a large, fluffy mass extending from its back. The feathers had grown as a self-protective measure, and they glimmered with an iridescent sheen. Its cottony wings were more distinct than in its base form, and its blue belly was now exposed. Additional fluff surrounded its neck like a collar, and its head was adorned with a hat-like crest. A single, small feather curls out from its forehead, though its facial features were unchanged. Its tail feathers had grown into a long, wavy streamer, with three longer central plumes. Mega Altaria's singing voice was even more beautiful than that of its regular form. She executed a Disarming Voice, destroying several Foot Bots.
Among one of the people watching the battle on TV was Lisa's uncle, Wallace. Wallace was a tall, thin young man with light blue eyes and teal blue hair that curled gracefully around his head. He wore a white beret, long white pants, which were connected to his teal upper shirt, leaving certain spots near his belly bare. He also had a purple undershirt, which covered a part of his chest. Wallace also wore green, transparent stripes from his shoulders and a small, ripple-edged white cape, as well as a pair of tri-bracelets on his arms. He watched his niece's Altaria decimate Shredder and Krang's forces. "That's my niece," said Wallace.
"Okay, my turn," said Rayquaza as he, Deoxys and the Z-Fighters were fighting Krang's ships. Suddenly, it mega evolved without the use of a Trainer activating a Key Stone. As Mega Rayquaza, its body became longer and gained more features. Its head becomes longer with the Δ symbol appearing on its forehead. Its eyes now contained yellow pupils and red irises, and black, tree-like markings trail behind its eyes. Its red lips and teeth became gold, and the gold lines connected to those on its lower horns, which take on a broad, triangular shape. At the outer edges of its lower horns were long, golden, glowing tendrils that each extended to a green, fin-like structure; these tendrils had ring patterns that strongly resembled the yellow markings running along the length of Rayquaza's normal form. Its two upper horns became longer with a gold line running over them in a V shape, and each upper horn had another glowing tendril that ends in a circular shape with a spike. Along the length of its body are golden, glowing orbs placed where its ring patterns used to be. The chin, part of the neck, and parts of its serpentine body were changed to the color black. The fins running along its body were now marked with gold lines; the fins on its tail became entirely yellow and substantially longer. Particles stream from the long tendrils that extended from its jutting jaw; these particles can control the density and humidity of the air, allowing Mega Rayquaza to manipulate the weather. Its green hid sparkles with an emerald-like quality. Piccolo could sense Mega Rayquaza's power. "Now that's what I call a power boost!" said Piccolo. Mega Rayquaza's power was increased in its Mega Evolution. It began to destroy a lot more of Krang's ships.

By this point, Ash's clothes were covered in tears and burns. Heck, part of the cap's brim was gone. Misty and Brock's clothes had tears and burns too. "Mom's not going to be happy about how I got these clothes ruined," mumbled Ash. Suddenly, Kamen Rider Snipe got hit by a laser blast from a razor jet. He yelped as he got hit. Snipe fell to the ground and something of his dropped. It was one of the Gashats that he and the other Gamer Riders use to henshin into Kamen Riders. This one read "Kamen Rider Chronicle". "Charizard, land here," said Ash. Mega Charizard Y landed where Snipe was and Ash, Pikachu and Nancy ran to where Snipe was. "Hey. Are you okay?" asked Ash. "I've been through worse than this," said Snipe. "You dropped this," said Ash, picking up the gashat.
Suddenly, the Gashat began to glow blue. "Huh?" asked Ash. "Pika?" asked Pikachu. "What's going on?" asked Nancy. Snipe noticed this too. "Yo, kid. How are you doing that with the Gashat?" asked Snipe. "I don't know. It must be reacting to my aura," said Ash. Suddenly, the Gashat transformed into a completely different Gashat. Instead of being labeled with "Kamen Rider Chronicle", it now read "Pocket Monsters". Ash gasped in amazement. "That's impossible! Only Ex-Aid has the power to change a Gashat like that!" said Snipe. "My aura may be the cause. If my aura is what's causing this Gashat to call to me and change, I'll take it," said Ash.
"Wait! Don't! You'll die without compatibility surgery!" cried Snipe. But Ash already clicked on the Gashat. "Pocket Monsters!" said the Gashat. He clicked the Gashat a second time. "Gashat! Enter the game! Gotta catch 'em all!" said the Gashat. Ash was then transformed into a new Kamen Rider. Ash's armor had a red & black chest plate, blue pants and white & red shoes. The helmet had a red & white cap with a green leaf symbol and yellow eyes. He was armed with a sword and blaster. Everybody was shocked by this new transformation, including Team Pansies. Their mouths dropped to the ground. "What?! Impossible!" said Snipe. Some Foot Bots charged at Ash. Ash then began to slice up the Foot Bots, slicing them to pieces. A bunch of Stone Warriors also charged at Ash. But Ash blasted them with his blaster. Kamen Riders Ex-Aid and Brave noticed Ash fight. "Ex-Aid, are you seeing this?!" asked Brave. "Yes. That kid has somehow managed to transform without the compatibility surgery. I may have to diagnose and examine him after the fight. I want to make sure he didn't catch the Bugster virus," said Ex-Aid.
Ash then heard some yelps of pain. He saw that both Zekrom and Kyurem were having trouble with the Shrednauts and Giant Stone Warriors. "Ash, remember how I said to keep those DNA Splicers with you in case of an emergency?" asked Zekrom. "Yes?" asked Ash. "Now is the time to use 'em!" said Zekrom. "Use them on me and Zekrom!" said Kyurem. "Right!" said Ash. Ash took out the DNA Splicers and they began to glow. They fired a beam of light that bathed both Zekrom and Kyurem with fusion energy. The glowing grew brighter. When the glowed stopped, a new Pokémon fusion was born. Its legs were just like before, but shorter and the middle toe was now ice. Its tail resembled that of Zekrom, but they were attached to the body with three gray parts of skin. The tail was capable of movement and contains four holes: they were vertical and it had bulky torso. Its shoulders were covered in 'squares' of ice with two pins protruding from each which can come out and 'plug in' the aforementioned holes. As Black Kyurem, it had Zekrom's arms, but more muscular and without wings, and its left arm and wing were frozen. Its neck was the same shape, but was now upright; Black Kyurem uses Zekrom's skin. The ice covering its lower jaw had partially disappeared, allowing it to move its mouth. Black Kyurem let out a loud roar.
Goku and Vegeta were surprised at the sight of the two Pokémon getting fused. "Whoa! I didn't think Pokémon could fuse too!" said Goku. "Apparently, they can, Kakarot!" said Vegeta. "Who are you?!" asked a Giant Stone Warrior. "I am neither Zekrom nor Kyurem! I'm the Pokémon who's going to annihilate you! I am Black Kyurem!" said Black Kyurem. Black Kyurem's voice sounded like Zekrom and Kyurem speaking in unison. Black Kyurem put its claws together, and a light bluish-white ball of energy surrounded by electricity was formed and became larger. Kyurem then separated its claws, and the ball was fired at a large amount of Shredder and Krang's forces. When the ball hit them, they all froze. Black Kyurem then smashed them to pieces.
All the Pokémon Trainers who have mega stones have now mega evolved their Pokémon! Not to mention, Kyurem and Zekrom have fused into Black Kyurem. Next cahpter will be the start of the assault on the Technodrome . . .
