Chat put his hands out in front of him, looking scared, "Ladybug, you've got it wrong! I was only trying to protect you! I'm the real deal!"
"Ha, sounds like something a FAKE would say! Hand over your akuma, Chat!" Ladybug said.
Chat curled his lip, "Fine, maybe you're not as stupid as the rest of the citizens. So you know that I'm not the real Chat. But, can you catch me?"
Ladybug seethed, running after him. She tried to grab his bell will an outstretched hand, but Chat calmly held her back.
"Oh, you already don't get it, do you?" He growled, stepping towards Ladybug, "There is no more Chat, and there never will be."
"What. Did. You. Do. With. CHAT?!" Ladybug screamed, trying to strike him with her yoyo, but Chat just ducked cooly.
"Ooooh, wouldn't you like to know?" Chat, or whoever this was, snickered, "But that's classified information. It's for only me to know, and for you to never, ever find out."
"Who...who are you?"
Chat shrugged, "I'm whoever you want me to be, really."
Ladybug growled, "That makes literally ZERO SENSE!" She finally grabbed his bell, throwing it on the ground. It shattered upon impact, but no akuma came out.
"Wh-what?" Ladybug's eyes widened.
Chat laughed, "Sweet, simple, naive Ladybug. You really have no idea what's going on!" He chirped gleefully, "That bell looked super tacky anyways! I look much better without it, don't ya think!"
"But...if the akuma wasn't in your bell...then where is it?!"
"Why don't you find out?"
"Hyah!" Ladybug said, grabbing Chat's belt. She snapped it into two, but there still wasn't an akuma.
"Aw man, I actually liked that belt."
She stared at him in horror, "But...you're not akumatized...then-?!" Ladybug walked towards him, putting both hands on his shoulders. Their eyes met...
...and she slid Chat's ring off, throwing it on the ground.
Chat jumped in surprise, "Wh-"
"I knew it! You're not akumatized, and you're not Chat either! If you were the real Chat, you would have detransformed when I took your ring of! You're a sentimonster! You become whatever shape Mayura tells you to become!"
"Wow, impressive." Senti-Chat smirked, putting a hand on his hip, "But you really shouldn't underestimate us Senti-monsters. In fact, in a way I'm even better than Chat. I can stay transformed even without my senti-ring. I can use my Cataclysm as many times as I need."
"Tell me where Chat is, and I just might spare you!"
Senti-Chat laughed, "It's actually the other way around, M'lady."
"Don't ever call me that!"
"You're at MY mercy, Ladyklutz. Only I know what happened to Chat. If you kill me, all my secrets die with me, including your precious Kitty. I can tear apart the whole city of Paris. Let's see whose side they take: Chat's, or Ladybug's? You really think everyone will believe you?"
Ladybug opened her mouth, but no words came out. No words to describe the terror she was feeling at that moment.
"But, we can avoid all of this." Chat shrugged carelessly, "We could be happy together, just you and I. I would actually love you! Just imagine! Wouldn't that be awesome, Marinette?!"
Ladybug gasped.
"That's right, along with taking Chat's form, I can also access his memories! Meaning, I already know who you are!"
"No!" Ladybug screamed.
"Yes! I know, it's too good to be true! Finally, you'll be together with someone who'll actually acknowledge you! Chat was an ungrateful brat, anyways. The idiot was in love with someone else? Pssh! You'll be able to start fresh with me! Just give me your Miraculous, and I'll give you all you ever wanted!"
"Ew! I don't want you, I want the real Chat back! And Chat isn't a brat! He's brave and honorable, unlike you!"
"The only way you'll know what happened to Chat Noir, is if you give me your Miraculous!"
"You seriously think I'm going to fall for that?! How do I know he's even alive?! And how do I know you won't hold your other end of the bargain?"
Senti-Chat snorted, "What would I want with that useless flea-bag? Okay, he's alive, for now, and he's being held captive somewhere. All you have to do, is give me your Miraculous, and I'll take you there!"
"Never! You'll definitely hurt other people when you make the wish, and my kwami could reveal all sorts of secrets about the Miraculous holder! Hawk Moth would become all-powerful!"
"So? Isn't it worth it to save your pwecious wittle Kitty?" Senti-Chat taunted.
"I..." Ladybug rubbed her arm.
I might never see Adrien again...but is it worth risking the lives of everyone else? Of my kwami?
Ladybug glared at him. "I hate you!" She yelled, "LUCKY CHARM!" The red-clothed superheroine blinked, "rope?" Noticing Chat was trying to get away, she quickly lassoed him, bringing him down. Much to her surprise, Chat didn't protest, but gave in.
"Gotcha!"
"Help! Ladybug's attacking me, and I don't know why! The akumas must have gotten her!" Chat whimpered, a terrified expression on his face. News reporters surronded Ladybug, cameras all around her.
"Ladybug, why are you doing this?!"
Chat smirked at her and winked before resuming his terrified wailing sounds.
"He's a senti-monster! Don't listen to him! Look, he doesn't have his ri-" Ladybug's eyes landed on his finger, where the ring was, "He must have put it back on!"
"She's talking crazy!" Chat said, "She's evil! Look at her! Pure evil!"
Ladybug bristled with anger, "No you are! He's obviously manipulating you guys!"
Chat groaned, "I...I can't take it anymore." He pretended to faint.
"Are you proud of what you've done, Ladybug?!" Nadja snapped. The cameras turned to her.
Ladybug looked down at her feet.
They don't believe me. Ladybug thought. He's turning the whole city against me!
The news reporters stayed for a little while but then started packing up their equipment, ready to move on to the next big thing.
As soon as Senti-Chat was sure they were alone, he fixed his gaze on Ladybug, his voice dangerously low:
"You have until tomorrow at midnight to make your decision. Chat Noir is being held inside a room that's being filled with water."
Ladybug's eyes widened in horror. The sentimonster continued calmly.
"You wanted to know what happened to him, didn't you? Well listen, because I'm telling you exactly what's going on. As I was saying, by midnight, the whole room will be filled with water, and you know kitty-cats and water don't mix. So, if you don't want Kitty to drown, you'll come meet me in front of the Eiffel Tower tomorrow. Bye bye, Marinette."

Oh btw there's some crazy MLB theory about Adrien being a sentimonster. (I mean in the actual series)
