A Very Morgan Christmas-Ch 17

Derek and Penelope both watched as Fran quickly cut the cord and Reid then put the baby on the towel and wipe it , the baby's skin color was a shade lighter than Derek but a shade darker than Penelope so it was the perfection combination of both of them.

Penelope said, "the baby, how's the baby"?, Fran and Reid looked at each other and then at the proud parents and Fran said, "he's perfect, 10 little fingers and 10 little toes". Derek looked at his wife and then back up at his mom and said, "he's perfect, he, as in we have a son"?, Fran laughed and said, "you so do daddy" as she placed the baby into his mommys arms.

As she looked down at him she said, "ohhhh hotstuff just look at him, look at what we did", Derek kissed the top of his sons head and then his wifes lips and said, "he's perfect". Penelope said, "he took after his daddy in that way" and Derek said, "he looks like you, look at that little nose and those little cheeks".

Reid said, "congratulations you guys", just as Derek and Penelope said, "thank you" in unison they all heard a knock on the door. Derek said, "come in", the door opened to reveal the rest of the family and JJ said, "can we come in for a second"?, Penelope said, "yes please".

They walked into the room and Emily said, "well do we have a nephew or a niece"?, Derek said, "a nephew, you have a nephew". Dave said, "look at how handsome he is, he's going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up, especially if he's like his father".

Derek said, "heyyyyyy. what does that mean"?, Fran laughed and said, "okay everybody, go ahead and get a quick look and then I need to get Penelope and the baby cleaned up". Reid said, "have you two decided on a name for him"?, Penelope said, "we had a name ready for both a boy and a girl".

Hotch said, "so his name issssss"? Penelope said, "oh sorry bossman, okay guys we want you to meet Hank Spencer Morgan" and the room filled with "awwwwwwww". Reid smiled as Derek said, "we named him Hank after my pops and Spencer after the best little brother a man could ask for".

Reid said, "I'm honored, truly honored", Fran said, "and your father would be too son, he would be honored and proud that you named your son after him". Fran said, "alright I hate to do this to everybody but I need to get Penelope and Hank ready for the trip to the hospital".

Everybody kissed Penelope and congratulated her and Derek on the birth of their son before heading back downstairs to call and wait for the ambulance to arrive so they could take the trio to the hospital to get checked out.

A few hours later as Derek and Penelope laid on her hospital bed looking down at the bundle in their arms Derek smiled and said, "Merry Christmas baby girl". Penelope said, "Merry Christmas hotstuff", they both looked at their son and said, "Merry Christmas Hank".

Penelope sighed as she rested her head against her husbands and said, "this has been the best year ever and our son is the best gift I could have ever gotten". Derek said, "you have given me the best life ever and we've only just gotten started".

She grinned and leaned in and brushed her lips against his and said, "I love you Mr. Morgan", he winked at her and said, "not as much as I love you Mrs. Morgan". Their attention then fell back down to the sleeping newborn in their arms.
