Seconded face, love and hatred coil.
Around the time Zoro was called.
Luffy skipped beside the large man with a smile. Kat invited her to his favorite donut shop. Since Luffy received his gift basket, she has been talking with the older man a lot more. They have a few things in common, they both are sore losers, hate math, love donuts, and love boxing. Luffy told Kat that he should come down to the revolutionary gym sometime, which he agreed to.
While Luffy skipped and rambled about something. Katakuri stared at the corner coming up with animosity. This was the plan. He told himself. I can't let my feelings get in the way of the plan. By feelings, he is referring to his attachment to the bumbling brunette next to him. Her sweet smile melts away his bitterness in an instant. He has grown fond of the young woman, which is why turmoil was brewing in his mind.
Can I do this to her? She is so nice… no one is this nice to me. My siblings are, but they mostly fear me at this point. But… Luffia doesn't fear me… she likes me as a person. Despite my looks and unfriendly attitude. "Lu, why aren't you scared of me?" Luffia stopped moving and looked towards Kat. Her innocent eyes scanned his sharp ones. After a few blinks, she smiled, "because you're a good person Kat! You may be grumpy and emo, but I like that about you! You are a good friend!" The word friend tugged at the older man's heart strings. No one has ever called him a 'friend' before. He knows the definition but has never experienced such a connection. His reactions to people are limited because of his title and family, but this woman is different.
Katakuri grabbed Luffy's hand and tugged her close to his chest. Luffy thought he was giving her a hug, so she hugged him back. "Luffia, you need to run. People are going to be chasing you as soon as I let go of you." Luffy froze and clutched the back of Kat's jacket. Her mind started to form questions, why are they chasing her? Who is going to chase her? "Listen, I'm sorry. It was my job to help them ambush you, but I couldn't. Please forgive me." Luffy gave a slow nod. His voice held sincerity; she knew he wasn't lying. "Run."
Luffy tugged out of his grip and did as she was told. She ran. Faster then she has ever before, and as soon as she did, people started to chase her. Why are they chasing me? Luffy turned the corner to shake them off, but they continued to speed after her. Right now, the sun is about to set, and she is downtown. She is nowhere near her home, or anyone she knows.
Her eyes twitched when she heard more footsteps follow behind the mob running after her. There is more!? Why do they want me? Is it my family? My identity? Are my siblings ok? I haven't seen Ann in a while. Is she ok?
Fear started to take over the brunette. Normally, fear wouldn't creep in at a time like this, it would be banished to the back of her mind. But… with everything that has been happening recently, fear has found some new allies. Stress and depression. Depression. Love. Zoro.
I wish Zoro was here right now. He would calm me down. He won't let fear get to me. But… I can't, we can't. Tears flooded Luffy's eyes and her vision became blurry. She tripped on an uneven piece of pavement, making her lag as the figures chased after her.
Bang.
A sharp pain fled into Luffy's body, mainly her right leg. They shot at me!? Her leg ached and buckled at the sudden pain, but still, she had to keep running. Her heart was racing along with her mind. She tried to use her adrenaline to sooth the pain, or at least push it away. The brunette tilted her head down to see the wound. It was a flesh wound, which Luffy thanked the gods for. Blood leaked over her black leggings and stained the ground.
She tried to formulate a plan. I can't fight them, there are too many. I don't know the area well enough to hide… what can I do!? She ended up in a dark alley with the mob still chasing. When suddenly, something grabbed her. The brunette kicked and tried to scream, but a hand blocked out the vibrations in her throat. Oh no. Negative thoughts swarmed Luffy's mind. What's going to happen to her? So many bad things could happen to her! Luffy tried to move her arms, but she was in a tight space. What is going on?
That's when Luffy noticed the dark eyes looking down at her. Something wrapped around her body and brought her close to the shadowy figure. She didn't move, didn't flinch, didn't speak. All she did was silently cry, those eyes. They were kind. So familiar it was almost painful. His body made her relax before she tugged on her skin.
The figures were gone, chasing after something else. Luffy doesn't know what, nor does she care. "Z-Zoro!" She sobbed into what she thinks is his shoulder. The green haired man brought her closer to him. "Luffy, I was so worried." He muttered.
"I-I missed you Zoro! I have something to tell you!" She can't hold it back anymore. She needs to tell him, right here, right now.
"I love you."
Luffy blinked, then blinked again, then again, "what?" Her mood went upside down from what she just heard.
"I love you."
He said it again? Wait-
"I'm supposed to say it first." She blurted, completely unaffected by his sudden confession. Zoro drew his head back, "I already said it twice, Luffy." It could be because they have been friends for so long, but the two started to bicker.
"I loved you first! I get to say it!" She pouted with the puff of her cheek.
Zoro shook his head, "I've loved you since second grade, I only said no before because I thought you didn't love me."
The brunette's cheek expanded, "stupid Zoro! I love you, that's final! Now, kiss me!" She demanded.
The swordsman couldn't help but chuckle at her adorable pout and order. "We don't have to kiss." Zoro only objected because they don't have time to kiss. Ann is still missing. "Yes we do! They do it in the movies!" She said in a matter of fact tone.
"Ann is missing, so it's either a kiss or-"
Zoro froze when he felt soft lips touch his. The contact was quick, only a tiny tap, but it lingered on his lips. Even with Luffy pulling on his arm and dragging him out of the alley. She kissed me. Why the hell did I deny my feelings for her!? I can't believe I'm thinking this but Sanji… was… right! Whoa, my head feels light from the thought.
Luffy whipped out her phone and called her brother.
"Law, tell me what's going on."
Law let out an aggressive groan, how the hell have we not found her! We looked all over the mother fucking city! Yet, nothing! It is now midnight, but still no sign of Ann. It is not only the Whitebeard family and the two siblings. It is now the Gol D. family and Makino, who is family at this point.
The Whitebeard and Gol D's are all packed into one massive van. A business van used for Roger's company. "Penguin, call Corazon."
Penguin hung up the phone, leaving another space of uneasy silence.
Roger was fuming next to Rouge, "how da-"
"Stop talking, I don't have time for your whining." Law snapped.
Oh great, we have stressed out and grumpy Law. Shanks mentally rolled his eyes then looked at Makino. Her eyes were squeezed shut, and her hand was gripping his tight. She looked sick. "Are you ok?" He whispered. Makino gave a weak nod, she has been getting motion sick since she found out she was pregnant. The green haired woman laid her head on Shanks's shoulder. The boyfriend pulled her closer to get her more comfortable. A shaking sound drew his attention, it was Law, holding up a bottle of pills. "Law-"
"They're safe, make her take two. I have a bottle of water in my bag." The redhead smiled at his younger brother. Of course he figured it out. Rouge raised a brow at the interaction but chose to stay quiet.
Luffy snuggled against Zoro, "Law, have you contacted Koala and Killer?"
"Of course, they are also on the hunt."
"Why don't you look over the clues again?" Shanks offered.
Instead of getting a 'shut the fuck up before I burn you alive' look, Shanks received wide eyes and a glint of hope. "You're a damn genius!" He shouted before hitting his fingers against his keys at lightning speed. Roger gave his eldest son a confused look, Shanks shrugged. Law equipped his phone and started to dial a number. Marco wanted to ask who he was calling but didn't want to be snapped at.
The phone picked up, "Corazon, tell your brother to look at abandoned warehouses. I swear I have seen one that time we… went out of town for a 'mission'." The quotes around 'mission' made Luffy flick a brow and Shanks shake his head. Nice to know my younger brother likes to go out of town to fuck his boyfriend.
Marco spoke when the phone call ended, "you have an idea, yoi?"
Law nodded, " it says 'There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down.' The room where the light won't find you must be windowless."
"What does it mean by, 'Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down'?" Thatch asked.
"That could mean two things. Holding hands would be her and Marco's relationship." The blonde frowned from the statement. He felt so guilty, guilty for not seeing her pain and only paying attention to his own. "The walls… would be her sanity." Law said in a bitter tone. The thought made everyone go quiet. What are they going to do to her? Ann. "Marco, I don't need you pouting over there." Law turned his head towards the blonde and noticed a certain aura becoming heavier.
Roger was now glaring at the blonde with the intent to kill.
This is going to be a long week.
Ann pov
Numb. My body felt as if it was traveling in a dark void of emptiness. Memories replayed in my head, confusing me further. How did this happen? What happened- oh, I remember. When Izo left, I went to go walk around town. Someone kidnapped me on the way back home and knocked me out. I don't know how long it's been, but for some reason, it's as if I don't care.
I haven't felt anything for the past several hours. Is this because of the drug? Or is it because there is no reason to feel everything?
Nothing to lose.
Why did those words come into my head? Is it because it's true… it is true. Not only did I keep a secret from Marco, but Sab, Lu, Shanks, and Law. None of them have a clue to where I am, nor do I.
The numbness was a double-edged sword. I can't feel the pain that has been building up in my chest for the past few days, but I know it's there.
I wonder how mom and dad are feeling right now? They're probably worried sick.
The car slammed its brakes and went to an impatient stop. My head tapped against the metal doors, well, I thought it was a tap. The blood drizzling down my forehead proves otherwise. The click of the front door made my body scrunch subconsciously.
You're going to die
A voice? This drug is agitating. I tried to uncrunch my body, knowing there is no use, but my own body wouldn't budge. It was if it was being controlled by the voice and not me.
Why.
My taped eyes widened, causing an unbearable pain to rise. My mind started to reattach as my numbness evaporated from my body. The voice was so familiar it made me tremble. It's Marco's voice. Tears settled in my ash colored eyes, unable to be let free because of the tape. Instead, they gathered and stayed in my eyes. It stung and burned, but it didn't compare to the restlessness I was now feeling. My whole body was now rattling from anxiety. My limbs were weak, but I can still feel the biting metal slicing through my wrist and ankles.
"Help." My whispered plea was thrown to the wind. My cracked lips could barely form a word, much less scream it. Thin liquid dripped down said lips, filling my nose with the grotesque smell of iron.
The doors clicked before opening at an unbearable pace. I could feel the grin resonating from his unknown face, "looks like she woke up boss." No. No. No. That voice… it was Jesus burgess. That means-
"Sorry we had to treat you rough, little lady, but you gave out our little secret. And you will pay for it." Teach. What is he going to do to me? The thought made my cracked lips quiver and my body struggle under my restraints.
"Drug her again, don't overdo it."
Those were the last words I heard before everything went blank.
Third pov
"Did you hear?" Background noise mixed in with the two men's conversation.
"... Mr… has brought… Kid."
The woman sitting behind the men gripped her drink from the mention of the boy. Damnit! I gave that blonde one fucking job! The woman pushed herself out of the wooden seat. The sound of wood against wood caught the two men's attention. "Well aren't you a beauty? Why don't you come have a drink with us?" One said as the other made their way towards the girl.
She gave a shy smile, "I've already had enough." The men smiled at the statement. Wow, what pigs.
The closer man wrapped his arm around her waist and leaned in close. Too close. "We can't have you walking home alone. Can we?" Even though the question was directed to the woman, the man turned his head to the other with a nod. Wow, how subtle.
Both men scanned the woman's body. Her back was covered by a black cloak, and her hair was protected by a hood. The tip of the hood stopped at the bridge of her nose, still exposing her fascinating eyes. Her body was to die for. She wore red combat boots that ended at her mid shin. A pair of black shorts that exposed two tattoos on her thigh and a bikini top. The men basically drooled on her frame. Here we go again, "thank you!" She said.
The men watched her hips sway side to side as they followed her out of the bar. It was late at night, the streets were close to empty. Perfect.
"Thank you again for walking me home. I don't know what I'd do if the Crimson Killer were to come after me." The name of the renowned killer made the men freeze.
The Crimson Killer is a murderer that runs lose in the Outlook territory. The murderer attacks government officials and anyone who works under Mr. Outlook himself. This territory Is right next to Wano. Both places are now connected because of the deal made recently. Wano has a mix of the rich and poor, the rich are pampered and displayed as the centerpiece of Wano. When in reality, the poor rot on the sidelines, dying from disease, hunger, etc.
"Of course, we can't have a beautiful woman such as yourself die on the streets." That's great to hear.
They stopped at a dark alley, it was quiet and the tension ran thick. Both men grinned in delight, as the beautiful woman walked towards them with lust in her dark eyes. Her slender hands trailed up both their chests, sending tingles down their spine. "You know…" she whispered. Her tongue came to her lips and slid across them. Red shimmered on her painted lips and her scent filled their noses.
Both men were now intoxicated by the woman. The fingers playing with their clothes went unnoticed . Then, a click drew their attention. The men woke up from their fantasies, but it was too late. A dagger has already slit both their throats.
Blood sprouted from the cuts in their neck. They tried to contain the crimson liquid in their bodies, but it was too late. One tried reaching for his gun but grew shocked when he saw the woman twirling it in her hand. Along with the gun was their wallets.
"Y-ou!" One stammered. Her crimson eyes traveled to one of the men, "yes." She blurted.
"Cr-mison Killer!"
The girl grew a smile, "Impressed, not really though." One of the men was already dead from the loss of blood. She left the other to groan in agony as death brought him into its arms.
The Crimson Killer made her way to her house. When the door opened, strong arms wrapped around her and a head dug into her breast. "Where were you babe!" The woman demanded when she picked her head up from her lover's chest. The Crimson Killer dug her hand into her pocket and flashed two thick wallets in front of the other's face.
Another figure peaked her head out from the kitchen and sighed. "Again? Didn't I tell you to stop doing that? You'll get caught." A shadow covered over the person speaking, but the killer knew who was talking.
The killer sighed, "Kiku, relax ok? We are going to see your older sister." Kikunojo came into light. She was a thin pale woman with dark blue hair and violet eyes. Her long eyelashes fluttered, and her slender fingers clasped her mouth. "I-Izo!?I haven't seen her since we were little!" The killer nodded. "Let's get packing."
The Crimson Killer looked down at her lover who had a puffed out cheek. "Yamato, I killed them. Nothing happened." The killer trailed her fingers through the woman's long purple hair. Yamato let out a huff, "you always get yourself in trouble, Red. Now we're going to the other territories? Why?" Yamato let go of her lover and straightened up her back. She was now towering over Red with her arms over her chest. Yamato is 6'2, while Red is only 5'9.
Light footsteps caught both of the women's attention. "Red!" The small girl shouted. She had light purple hair, large bright eyes, and an even larger smile. Red crouched down with a grin, "Tama!" The small child jumped into Red's arms and snuggled against her. "Where have you been! You left two days ago and didn't come back! We didn't celebrate your birthday!" The eight-year-old whined when she pulled back to glare into Red's dark eyes.
"I turned seventeen, that isn't a big deal." Red assured.
"It was a big deal!" Kiku shouted from the living room.
The four women live together on the boarder of Outlook and Wano territory. Yamato, Red, and Kiku are dating (somewhat, they don't like labels). All they know is that the three girls love each other, so why not leave it as that? Tama is an orphan they take care of and has grown to be like a little sister to the three.
Kiku is Izo's biological little sister, they separated ten years ago. Kiku found out four years ago where Izo ended up but didn't want to contact the older sister for personal reasons.
Yamato is Kaido's daughter. Kaido is the ruler of Wano. Yamato disagreed with her father's ideals when she was eight, and because of that, he locked her up in prison to rote. Red freed her three years ago. After, she fell in love with the redhead, along with Kiku.
"Quiet Kiku! You're not even 17 yet!" Red shouted.
"Does it matter? I will be in five months!" Kiku huffed as she walked towards the other ladies with three bags.
Red turned her attention back onto Tama. She cupped the small girl's cheek and kissed her temple. "You-"
"I'm not staying! No way!" The eight-year-old declared. She crossed her arms over her torso and huffed out her chest.
Yamato chuckled, "bring her."
Kiku snapped her eyes to Yamato with a 'are you stupid' look.
"She is eight now right, Red has been… K-I-L-L-I-N-G since she was born." Yamato spelled it out so the little one wouldn't understand, which she didn't.
The blue haired woman snorted, "exactly, I don't need her being an I-D-I-O-I-T like Red."
"HEY!" Red shouted.
Yamato talked with her other lover through her eyes until Kiku sighed in defeat, "fine."
Tama and Red both jumped for joy and dashed to the old car outside. Kiku packed up the car and tossed the keys to Yamato, "why do I have to drive?" the oldest complained. Kiku rolled her eyes and opened the door to the passenger's seat.
Once the four females were on the road, they asked Red the million-dollar question. "Why are we going to my sister? And why now?"
Red took off her hood, exposing her long bright crimson hair and all her angelic face. Her crimson eyes flared, and her pale nose twitched in disgust. Tama gripped Red's hand to calm the woman down. "Our father initiated his plan right on our birthday, how ironic." She muttered before taking a deep breath.
"My twin brother was captured; we need to find Killer. Fast."
Kid, you better stay safe.
/==========================================================================/
If you didn't know, Red is the OC I made that plays the main character in Red Phoenix. She is now playing Kid's twin. I thought it was fitting because I made her Kid's twin in the other fanfic. So yeah. If you have read that story, Dagger nor Nako will be in this story. Neither will Blue.
Once again, the Monkey D.'s real parents are being exposed. Most of the Newgates are trying to grasp the situation, that is why they do not have a lot of dialogue. But trust me, they will soon.
If you didn't know Yamato, Tama, and Kiku before... I'm sorry. I should have warn you about that but they do play an important role in my story. Their backgrounds aren't the same as the ones in One Piece. Don't worry too much.
Yes, I have finally put Zoro and Luffy together. Though I wasn't romantic. It was in a shitty alley while people were trying to kidnap her but... what the hell? It's Zoro and Luffy!
About the Wano and Outlook 'territories'. Kaido, nor Mr. Outlook, own the land, but they do control it from the shadows with all their money and power. The person who 'owns' the land The ASL+SL siblings live in is Whitebeard and Roger since they are great friends. Big Mom's 'territory' is in the middle of all of them, which I will explain in further detail later.
If I missed anything, tell me.
