Wow so you guys went nuts over the last chapter because the numbers of views on this story went up like a god damn rocket. Why well the last chapter was a normal day for Serenity. Finally, right? No changing, no problems, sweet moments, and fun games. Its about time this girl got a break.
However, at the end of the chapter Serenity, though she had a really good day with Bakugo, still had the curse on her mind. Bakugo told her to live her life the way she chooses, and she said she will try. To which Bakugo told her to show him she can and not just try.
The last we saw of her was her holding on to the fang around her neck. She said the words "Ich winches, das wäre eine Lüge." Which means "I wish this was a lie." Shall we see if she can change her fate.
Chapter 16-Your Control
(Serenity's point of view)
I woke up on Sunday morning, actually feeling pretty well. I didn't have any nightmares last night which was nice. It was rare that I would get nights like that. I heard my phone go off and I checked it. It was from Papa Aizawa.
Papa Aizawa
Hey, Honey I hope you have a good
day today. Training will be in the
gym like last time alright.
Alright Papa. See you then.

I smiled and put my phone on my desk as I got up to brush my teeth and get changed. I wonder what my training is going to be like today. Is Bakugo bringing Kirishima again? I hope so, I didn't get to spar with him last time.
I looked in the mirror at my fangs. I was wearing all three of them like normal. Though this training is supposed to help me control my dark side. But wearing all three of them prevents me from even using my quirk. Though I wish it would prevent the changes to my body as well, but that's beside the point.
I'm a supporter and I hate making items like this. Items that prevent the user from using their quirk to the best of their abilities. Items that are used as crutches for others. Like that Midoriya kid. Sure, I've seen him get better throughout the year with his quirk, but his arms are severely damaged. So much so that he recently switched from a power type hero to a speed type like Iida.
Hatsune is his supporter, she is so smart, but I hate to see her inventions being used as crutches. She recently designed these leg braces so the boy could prevent injury to himself and arm braces to keep his arms from getting even more damaged. If that boy doesn't learn to control his quirk, then he is just going to break himself. I hate people like that so much because they have no idea what they are doing.
However, I'm not much better. I am wearing something to prevent myself from hurting others, and yet trying to learn how to control it with training. However, how will I ever control it if I don't take them off? How am I supposed to stand up against her if I don't take them off?
I thought about what Bakugo told me last night.
"Don't let this control your life okay. Live it the way you choose."
Live my life the way I choose. I shook my head. I want to try that so much but will it even work? I know I said I'll try and prove to him I can. But can I really?
I looked at my fangs. Maybe if I take one off. I can use my quirk with 2 in. I haven't done it many times, but maybe if I get used to that then remove the other earring, I can control it better. Though is it a good idea to? Would this be enough to control my life?
I thought about Bakugo again. I want to prove to him I can do this. I don't know why but he is becoming my motivation. Is this what having a friend is like? Is this what friends do for each other? Motivate them to be better? If so, then I want to be better. I want to stay his friend. I want more friends. I want to be happy one day. I will control this as much as possible. To live the life, I choose. For Bakugo. My first friend.
I took off the earring from my right ear. I don't want Papa to know I'm not wearing all three, and my fin always falls to my right side. If wear a hood maybe it will stay down. I grabbed a pair of black overalls that Papa Aizawa got me along with my black jacket and looked in the mirror. I tested it out and shivered slightly as the hood messed with my fin a little, but it wasn't too bad. The fin stayed under the hood and it didn't move that much. So I would be safe.
I went out of my room and to where everyone's shoes were at and put on my red converse. I then went out towards the gym for training. On my way I saw Bakugo and Kirishima and smiled. Kirishima said he was my friend when I saw him last time. I should learn more about him since I want to have more friends.
"HEY GUYS WAIT UP!" I shouted and started to jog up to them. They both turned around and Bakugo looked at me and smiled and Kirishima looked a little surprised to see me.
"Your slow today Lizard." Bakugo said at me a little tauntingly.
"Oh, and why is that?" I asked with a huff.
"We thought you would be at the gym already with your dad." Kirishima replied.
"Ah, that makes sense." I said and smiled.
"So, Lizard you ready for the rest of your day?" I groaned, as I completely forgot I said I would do whatever Bakugo wanted for 24hours.
"Rest of her day what are you talking about?" Kirishima asked.
"I lost a bet."
"Oh."
"Yeah. So Bakugo what are you gonna make me do today? Die from more spicy food?" I asked playfully causing him to smirk at me and I swear get an evil little look in his eyes.
"You'll find out later." He said mockingly.
"Oh no." Kirishima and I said together making me look at him.
"Good luck Shin'nen." He said and patted me on the head knocking off my hoodie by accident and making my fin go up.
"Kirishima what did I tell you about my fin. I whined as I went to grab my hood and pull it back over my head and make my fin go back down." Kirishima was laughing and apologizing to me, but Bakugo's smirk turned to a frown.
"Oi, Lizard come with me." Bakugo said and he walked ahead I sighed and followed him and Kirishima walked a couple feet behind us. We were heading to the gym, but I noticed Bakugo was glaring.
"You saw, didn't you?" I mumbled and he nodded.
"Then you should know I'm taking your advice from last night." He stopped and looked at me shocked, and I stopped and looked at him and smiled.
"I'm choosing to control my life if I can." He smirked at me.
"Prove it then Lizard." Kirishima heard him say that and looked worried.
"What are you going to make her do Bakugo."
"You'll find out." I said smiling and started to walk ahead to the gym again. I figured they would start walking with me; however, I didn't realize that before they did Bakugo and Kirishima were staring at me for a moment. Kirishima with a worried and confused look, while Bakugo was wearing his signature smirk.
We made it to the gym and Papa Aizawa smiled at me. We had a full day of training today and I was excited to see how well I would do. I smiled back at him. Bakugo and Kirishima walked up behind me and Papa's smile grew a little more.
"Kirishima is training with you again I see."
"Yeah, Aizawa sensei last time I trained with them was fun." Kirishima said and looked at Bakugo
"Plus this gives me a chance to see if I can take down Bakugo."
"Like that will ever happen." Bakugo said ready for a fight.
"Speaking of training what are we doing today Papa?" I asked getting excited myself.
"Today we are going to be working on controlling your quirks. Bakugo and Kirishima you are quite familiar with each other's quirks would you care to give a demonstration?" I tensed up. I already wasn't wearing an earring and I didn't want to worry Papa about it. He was saying this to make sure I could give him my earrings without Kirishima noticing. Bakugo must have realized as well since he nodded.
"Let's go shitty hair."
"Alright explosion boy but you're going down this time." They went to the gym and started sparring.
"Serenity-" I cut Papa off.
"That won't be necessary Papa." I answered and then removed my hood and showed him I wasn't wearing one of my fangs already causing him to glare at me.
"What?" I asked as I put my hood back on and my fin back down.
"Where is the third one?" He asked sternly.
"In my room."
"Why?"
"Because I want to control this without the fangs one day." I answered to which he looked at me a little shocked.
"Serenity, you do know that you might hurt others more without all three earrings, and you have never been able to control ember like that. Let alone you aren't supposed to. That's what she told us the other night." He said seriously to which I sighed.
He was right. I know I am not supposed to control my quirk because of the curse. However, Bakugo's words echoed in the back of my mind again, and to my surprise I stood my ground.
"I know Papa, but I want to live my life the way I choose." I said confidently shocking him slightly but then causing him to smile.
"Plus I promise right now I will only be taking one off at a time and go from there. I can still control my quirk, but it's limited."
"I know Serenity, and I trust you honey, but just in case I want you to give me your fangs when you aren't wearing them so that way in case something happens, I can protect you." I nodded.
"I'll give you one Papa." He looked at me confused for a moment.
"I have three fangs Papa, and if I can I want to be able to control my quirk with none one day. By that point I'll only need one to stop me instead of three. So I'll give you one now, Papa Hizashi the other, and the final one to Bakugo." I answered.
"Why would you give one to Bakugo?"
"Because he is my friend Papa." I smiled and Papa Aizawa sighed but smiled back and ruffled my head messing with my fin.
"PAPA!" I whined and swatted his head away. Why does everyone like messing with my fin today? I heard him chuckle and say sorry but was then interrupted as Kirishima was suddenly flying from one of Bakugo's explosions.
"He doesn't seem to be doing too well against Bakugo." I said as I saw him get back up looking a little exhausted.
"Good observation, why don't you go and help him Serenity." I looked at Papa for a moment shocked as he smiled.
"I covered my hands with scales and created a mask with my scales as well. I couldn't make my scales go past my wrist because of the fang but it was better than nothing. Plus, I was wearing my jacket so its not like anyone would notice unless I took it off.
"HEY KIRISHIMA!" I shouted and ran towards him.
"What's up Shin'nen?" he asked when I got to him.
"Need a hand?" I asked. He saw my scales and smiled.
"How well can you control those?"
"Only a little. I cant cover my whole body quite well." I said lifting up one of my sleeves just enough to show that my scales were only at my wrist. He smiled at me.
"Bakugo was right you are like me with your quirk." Speaking of Bakugo he was running up towards us and had just noticed me. I put my sleeve down before he could notice my scales.
"HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING LIZARD!"
"GETTING READY TO KICK YOUR ASS!" I yelled, probably earning a glare from Papa, but I'm not home so its okay.
"LIKE HELL YOU WILL. I BEAT BOTH OF YOU!" He yelled, and I smiled. Kirishima went first and charged ahead since he had more of an advantage that I did. Though he was reaching the limit of his quirk.
He was acting as a distraction for Bakugo, but it was a little easy for Bakugo to doge him and come towards me. I ducked and jumped towards Kirishima.
"I'll be the distraction you deliver the final blow okay." I told him as I got into a defensive position. He looked at me with worry.
"Are you sure?" I nodded and then charged towards Bakugo. He reacted normally with me and started to doge my punches. He could see my scales and so he was being cautious. Kirishima saw this and wondered why. He went around and tried to get Bakugo from behind, but now wasn't the right time to do that yet.
"You gonna show me an explosion Bakugo?" I asked as he dogged anther punch from me.
"I don't need to." He grabbed my arm and then threw me onto Kirishima, which wasn't a soft landing either since Kirishima had is quirk activated and tried to block. So, I pretty much got rammed into a wall.
Kirishima and I fell to the floor, and I'm not gonna lie I was pissed. My hood fell off and my fin went up but this time I felt different. Not in a bad way or anything but as if I was full of adrenalin or something. I looked at Kirishima for a second, but he looked scared as hell which confused me. I stood up and turned towards Bakugo and he looked shocked to. However, he was still on the defensive. I smirked.
"Don't know why your shocked since you're the one that threw me Bakugo." He relaxed a little when he heard me say his name and I took advantage of that and charged towards him. His tried to set off an explosion to make me doge and back off however I was close enough to grab his wrist and just have it go off in my hands. It was hot as fuck, but my scales were able to keep me from getting hurt from the blast.
I used my other hand to punch him, but he blocked and caught my wrist which made me smirk. Kirishima had gotten behind Bakugo again and grabbed him from behind. He smiled as he went to let go of my wrist and move away from my other hand to get Kirishima off of him, However, I grabbed both of his wrist and twisted making him wince slightly.
"So, you plan on making me immobile." Bakugo grunted.
"Um are you dumb Bakugo? You are immobile." I answered to which he grabbed my wrists and set off some explosions.
"FUCK!" I shouted and let go to which he then went to Kirishima and blasted his face a couple of times until he let go. I looked at my wrist and noticed that my jacket was damaged, showing that my arms weren't covered in scales. I mentally cursed and then looked at Kirishima. He wasn't gonna last much longer.
"FACE IT! YOU'RE BOTH GONNA LOSE!" Bakugo shouted setting some warning explosions off with his hand. It made me so mad, but excited, and I felt like my heart was beating a mile a minute. I don't care if I lose and if the odds are against me. I don't like being used as a punching bag or when people walk over me. I glared at him and he looked at me odd for a second.
"I don't think if you remember, what I said to you after our first fight." He looked at me confused for a moment.
"Which fight exactly lizard." I grinned.
"The very first one, where I earned that nickname." I said throwing a punch his way and he dogged.
"YEAH, SO WHAT ABOUT IT?" He yelled trying to get me to the point. He threw a right hook my way and I grabbed it and pulled him close.
"I'm not gonna let you walk over me." I said darkly then rammed my fist in his stomach a little harder than I intended to. I made him fly back a bit and also puke slightly. Kirishima and I both went to him before he got up. He looked like shit, but the fight wasn't over until we pinned him.
I went and pinned his arms and made sure he was on his side in case he puked again it wouldn't lodged in his throat and Kirishima pinned his legs. Papa Aizawa came over and looked at me with some worry but I don't know why. He then crouched down to Bakugo.
"Bakugo. Care to tell me how you lost." Papa Aizawa said a little smugly. Making Bakugo a little angry. I held on to his arms thought to keep him from thrashing.
"I was taken by surprise that's all." He grunted.
"I mean I think we all were bro." I looked at him surprised.
"Why were you surprised?" I asked.
"You seriously don't know?" Kirishima stated, and I shook my head.
"Serenity you did something different. In fact, you are still a bit different right now." Papa said making me confused. He then pulled out his phone and turned the camera app on to show me. I let go of Bakugo's arms and he sat up and pushed Kirishima off him and then turned towards me for my reaction.
My fin was covered in blue flames. I touched them but they didn't burn, and my right eye was green which usually represented my dark side. However, I was completely in control. I still had my scales out on my wrist and wondered if I calmed down and put my quirk away if I would look like I did before.
I handed Papa back his phone and closed my eyes and took a deep breath. When I opened them again, I turned to Bakugo.
"Any difference?" I asked, and Bakugo smirked at me.
"You still look like the lizard I know." I smiled and looked down at my wrist and winced. The parts that the scales didn't covered were burned from Bakugo's explosions. I tried to hide it but failed as Bakugo looked at my wrist as well.
"Its nothing." I said and stood up. Making him glare at me.
"Serenity." I turned around and looked at Papa Aizawa.
"Yes."
"Go take Bakugo to recovery girl. You and Kirishima did a good job today. That's all for training. I'll see you all tomorrow." I looked at him weird for a moment.
"You think he needs to go to reco-" Bakugo stood up and grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the gym with Kirishima following after us.
"Kirishima before you go may I have a word." Papa said and causing him to turn around and leaving Bakugo and I alone. We walked in silence for a bit until we were in the hallway where I ran from him. Near Recovery girls office.
"Why did you try to hide it?" Bakugo asked me sternly. I looked at him for a moment and then sighed.
"Why do you think." I answered looking down.
"Idiot." He stopped me and moved in front of me. He lifted my wrists carefully lifted and frowned.
"I thought you could cover you arms with your scales." I chuckled.
"Yes, if I'm only wearing one fang. Plus, I can only cover one arm at a time in that state. That or split it in half between both my arms." I explained, smiling slightly, but when I looked up, I met a glaring pair of red eyes.
"SO, I THOUGHT YOU COULD HANDLE MY EXPLOSIONS! He snapped at me. Making me stare at him in shock.
"S-sorry I d-didn't realize." He calmed down slightly.
"Just because I said to choose what you do in life I didn't mean to do so recklessly." He snapped at me slightly.
"Your one to talk." I said causing him to pout at me.
"What you still hang out with me knowing full well I could lose control. I'd say that's the definition of being reckless."
"DO YOU WANT ME TO LEAVE THEN?!" He snapped and at me, making me jump.
"WELL?"
"no…." I whispered. He raised an eyebrow at me.
"What was that?" I looked at him shocked for a second. I know I whispered it but there was no way he couldn't hear me.
"Come on. Use that voice." He said smirking.
"No."
"No, what?"
"I don't want you to…."
"To what Lizard?"
"To leave." I said as I looked down. He moved his hands from my wrist and cupped my face making me look up at him. I suddenly noticed how close we were from each other.
"Then I won't." He then closed the gap and kissed me making my mind go blank.
