Harry heard Patsy sigh as she took his hand and they walked into the room where everyone was congregating before the ceremony. Harry was in a navy suit, his gold tie matching the dress Patsy wore. He lifted the hand he held and kissed the back of it.
They saw Lexa stood with an older woman.
"Still single I see" Harry overheard her saying to Lexa. Patsy looked at him.
"That's your Grandma?" he asked. Patsy nodded and they head over to rescue Lexa.
"Hello Grandma" Patsy said.
"Patience" she replied, kissing Patsy on both cheeks. "You're looking peaky. Have you been eating properly?" The tone with which she said it struck Harry as patronizing, rather than concerned about Patsy's health.
"May I introduce my boyfriend, Harry Kim" Patsy said, deliberately changing the subject. From the tone of her voice, Harry could tell Patsy was annoyed.
"Ma'am" Harry held out his hand for her to shake, which her Grandma had accepted.
"If you'll excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom" Patsy announced.
"I'll join you" Lexa caught on to her cousin's get-away plan.
"I need to go as well" Harry said.
After going to the bathroom, they went to the drinks table where Lexa immediately grabbed a glass of champagne and, despite it being only ten o'clock in the morning, downed it. As she went to take a second glass, they were joined by another woman in a blue dress.
"Hey Mom" Lexa smiled and hugged the woman.
"Patsy, look at you. You can't have long now" she smiled, hugging Patsy.
"Hi Aunt Kara. Eleven weeks to go" Patsy grinned as she returned the hug. "This is Harry Kim, my boyfriend."
"Lovely to meet you Harry, I'm Lexa's mom, Commander Kara Sawyer, First Officer of the USS Hawking."
"Pleasure to meet you, Ma'am" Harry replied. Kara rebuffed the hand he offered and hugged him too.
"Kara, please" she replied. "So. Boy or girl?
"Boy, Matthew Luke, Matty" Patsy replied.
A series of quick-fire introductions to the rest of Patsy's family followed before they had to take their seats for the ceremony.

The ceremony had been lovely and had gone off without a hitch. Marissa had worn an ivory, full length gown and her new husband, Kieran, had been in a tux with a dark blue waistcoat.
After the ceremony they went outside for photos, before heading back in for the meal. Harry could tell Patsy was glad she was not sat with her Grandma. Instead, they had been sat with Lexa and a couple of friends of Marissa and Kieran.
At the reception, Patsy had danced a little with Harry before it became too much for her. Harry had willingly obliged as the twins insisted that he had to dance with them too and he had also danced with Lexa, Lyra, and Kara. Patsy's step-siblings had come to the reception and Jenny had also danced with Harry as her boyfriend Julian hadn't been invited. Lucas had also given Harry the Brother Talk; they were both a little drunk by this point.
