Song of the Chapter: I have searched through a number of songs, and I have decided that there will be two for this chapter. Yes, I've done this before. The first I will state here. Revelation by Danny Elfman
I own nothing but the story.
Spider-Man swung through the air as fast as he could. He was on his way to a date with MJ, and he didn't want to be late. He saw her waiting for him in his usual alleyway, but he saw other men enter the alley. Older and creepy men. She made to run, but Spider-Man jumped down and tore through the thugs. Soon, all were unconscious.
"Are you okay?" he asked her frantically. She nodded. "Yeah, but, uh, let's not meet up in an alley next time."
He laughed a little and nodded. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea."
She walked over to him and grabbed on. "Hold on tight," he said. She did so, and they started swinging. "Whooo!" he said, shooting webs and swinging from them.
"Lemme down! Lemme down! I don't wanna do this anymore!" she screamed, closing her eyes and putting her head on his shoulder.
"Oh, come on, it's fun!" he said, performing a flip.
"No it's not! No, no, it is not!"
Spider-Man sighed disappointedly. "Alright, we'll just get there, then."
She continued to freak out as they swung all the way up to the Empire State Building. She was breathing heavily when she let go, and when she opened her eyes, she gasped. "Where are we?" she asked slowly.
"The Empire State Building," he said. She quickly shook her head frantically. "Take me down, please, just take me down."
"Look," Spider-Man said, gently grabbing her head and facing it towards the sunset. She stared ahead. After a bit, she smiled. "It's … beautiful." He nodded. She looked back at him and said "Okay, I don't entirely forgive you for terrifying me, but this … this is amazing."
He nodded and they looked at each other for a bit before she slowly took off his mask. She stared at it. "It feels weird," she said, looking at it and feeling the slimy texture. He shrugged. "It works."
She nodded and leaned in to kiss him. He kissed her back, and for a second, it was just them two together. But then his Spider Sense went off. He took the mask from MJ and put it back on. "We have to go," he said.

"What? Why?" she asked. He grabbed her hand and went to shoot a web, but something jumped behind them and grabbed Spider-Man. He looked to see what had grabbed him and saw what looked like a giant robot spider. "Hello, Spider-Man!" said Smythe. "And who do we have here?" The robot turned to face MJ. "Leave her alone!" Spider-Man said, ripping apart the robotic pincers that held him. Suddenly, sonic waves hit Spider-Man from where the pincers held him. He had already ripped it apart, so, his costume falling apart, he fell from the top of the building.
"No!" MJ screamed, watching him fall. The symbiote suddenly shot a tendril that grabbed onto the edge. It pulled him back up, and it clogged up the cannon. Spider-Man leapt at the Slayer and tore it apart. The robot slowly stopped moving as he ripped it to pieces, throwing it off the building when he was done.
"Peter!" MJ said frantically. He looked back and saw a more humanoid robot holding MJ. He leapt at it, but it jumped out of the way. "Too slow, Spider-Man," Smythe said, jumping off. "NO!" Spider-Man said, filled with rage.
He followed the Slayer and saw it go into the building where he fought the first Spider-Slayer. He followed it in and saw the big man called the Kingpin, who seemed to be making a deal with a group of people.
"What?" he said in shock when he saw Eddie with them, incredibly uncomfortable, and shocked to see Spider-Man come in. He was even more shocked to see a robot holding MJ. "What - Dad, what's going on?"
Spider-Man stared. Dad?
The man who looked like he was in charge said "Fisk, what's going on?"
The Kingpin chuckled. "It would seem as if my scientist has finally tracked down Spider-Man using his Spider-Slayers."
The man smiled and chuckled. "Well, isn't this a sight to see. Eddie! Get over here!" Eddie hastily made his way next to his father, who said "It's going to be a fine day when it's your time to take over, Eddie. Because today is the day that Spider-Man dies!"
"You guys don't have me yet!" Spider-Man said, rage replacing his confusion when he saw MJ struggling to get out of the Slayer's grip. He tore through the group Eddie was with, striking them each, knocking them out with one blow. He grabbed Eddie's father and raised his fist to punch him when he felt someone shoot him in the back.
He wasn't worried, because the suit healed him. But he did see that Eddie was the one who had shot him. His expression was confused, like he didn't know why he did what he had done. He quickly tried to look intimidating and said "Get away from my dad!"
Spider-Man smirked. He leapt at Eddie and punched him in the face. He continued letting his fists rain down on Eddie. It felt … good. "Eddie!" his father said, reaching out to get him. Spider-Man grabbed the gun Eddie was holding and struck Eddie's father with it.
He heard clapping and turned around to see that it was the Kingpin. "Very impressive, Spider-Man. But I'm afraid that it won't be enough to defeat me."
Spider-Man said nothing, instead jumping at the Kingpin to attack him. He was stopped in midair, being hit by the Kingpin's large fist. The Spider-Slayer let go of MJ, dropping her to the floor, and grabbed Spider-Man.
"I'm almost sad to see you go," the Kingpin said, "because when you're gone, Smythe here will leave me."
"You're damn right I will," Smythe said, releasing sonic waves from the Slayer to hit Spider-Man.
He screamed and writhed in agony. It was worse than any of the other previous times. He felt like he was being ripped apart, limb by limb. "Just die, Spider-Man!" Smythe said. Suddenly, the Slayer stumbled. The three looked at what caused it, and were shocked to see MJ grabbing onto the Slayer's leg. It shook her off, kicking her away.
Spider-Man screamed in rage at the sight, and broke out of the Slayer's grip. He ripped the Slayer apart, punching massive holes into the Slayer's body.
He jumped over to Smythe. "You could leave right now if you wanted to," he said, grabbing Smythe by his collar.
"I think not!" Smythe said angrily. "My father had a contract with the Kingpin, and since he died, it's up to me to complete it!"
Spider-Man growled and punched Smythe in the face, breaking his nose.
Two large hands wrapped around him and threw him across the room. "I will rip you apart myself!" Kingpin roared. He started to crush Spider-Man, but Spider-Man broke out of his grip, falling to the ground. He charged at Kingpin and punched him as hard as he could, launching him across the room. Kingpin got up and tried to hit him, but Spider-Man grabbed the fist and broke his wrist. As Kingpin screamed in pain, MJ feebly stirred. Spider-Man picked up Kingpin and threw him across the room. He slammed into the wall and fell to the ground. Kingpin tried to get up, but failed. Spider-Man picked him up by the collar of his shirt. "Fine," the Kingpin said, "take me to jail!"
"Who said anything about jail?" Spider-Man said, drop kicking him. Kingpin looked up at him in fear. "Wh - what? I don't understand." Spider-Man picked him up and threw him across the room again.
"You will," he said dangerously. "It's like this. We're through with not getting what we want!"
"What are you doing?" the Kingpin said frantically. "I - I give up!"
"That's funny, we give up too," Spider-Man said, picking up Kingpin's large desk. "We give up trying to be a Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man."
They were about to throw the desk at him as hard as they could when the window broke, and they saw Iron Man come through. "Kid! Stop!"
Spider-Man looked at him and growled. Then he saw MJ looking at him. She was terrified. She looked at him like he was a completely different person. He looked at the desk in his hands and dropped it. He looked at his hands. They weren't his own. He had become something else.
He looked around, terrified.
"Kid, are you alright?" Mr. Stark asked. Spider-Man shook his head, and ran out the window.
So, uh … yeah. Eddie's dad is a criminal in this and wants Eddie to take over for him when he's done. Just saying that in case it wasn't clear.
