Chapter 12: Round 1 p2

"Denki Kaminari out of bounds! Winner: Eijiro Kirishima. Manga Fukidashi vs Mezo Shoji next match! Manga Fukidashi and Mezo Shoji, please come down to the arena" Present Mic said as the two of them ran to the ground.
"Start~"
Manga and Mezo took off in a blur of action. "Crack the floor breaks!" cried Manga, a crack forming in the ground below Mezo.
Mezo would not be defeated so easily, as he formed extra hands, gripping onto the side of the crack in the floor and trying to maneuver his body back up.
"Clunk rocks clash" Manga cried, utilizing his quirk in a way to make rocks fall on top of Mezo's body, causing him to fall through the crack in the ground, before reaching rock bottom.
"I give up" Mezo finally conceded "But how do I get out of here?"
Manga looked ashamed "I don't know", he replied.
"Manga Fukidashi wins! The next match is Mei Hatsume vs Katsuki Bakugo! Competitors, get to your places!"
"Put on a good show for my babies," Mei commanded Katsuki.
"Like hell I will! You're going down!" Katsuki shouted, firing off explosions at her.
Noticing the danger she was in, without her competitor being under control of her support gear, and not having prepared for this outcome, she quickly walked out of bounds
"I forfeit" She shouted, crossing the line.
"Winner by forfeit: Katsuki Bakugou. Ilda Tenya gets a free pass into the next round!"
Ilda Tenya was on the move.
"What are you doing?"
… Before being caught by Shirou Emiya, looking like hell warmed over, face soaked in tears.
"It's nothing" He responded stiffly
"It's not nothing… you look horrible"
" … My brother's in the hospital, does that make you happy?!" Tenya snapped
"No, it doesn't. Would you mind if I came with you to the hospital?"
"No, I wouldn't…" Tenya softened, "But you'll miss the festival"
"I don't mind, it's more important than the Sports festival after all"
"Fine, follow me…". And they were off.
Arriving at the hospital, the two of them were rushed to Tenya's brothers room.
"Who did this to you?!" Tenya demanded of his brother, who was barely awake.
"I thought you knew… it was Stain" Tensei Ilda, Tenya's older brother, hissed the name. "He claimed that there was no such thing as a Hero, and espoused the belief that all of us must die…"
"That doesn't even make sense- without the Heroes- what would happen to everyone else? Crime would run rampant and Villains would only get more overt in their attempts to subvert society…" Shirou interjected.
"Who are you?" Tensei demanded
"He's a classmate of mine, who volunteered to go with me here, when he saw me crying"
Tensei was heartbroken at that. I've failed as his older brother to make him worry about me so much.
