A/N: Welp, another Christmas fic, another screw up by me (What, you don't remember 12 Days and that screw up). So…let's just go with what a reviewer said that Chuck fell asleep in the Buy More Theater room and that's why Sarah needed his address…I mean he didn't….I screwed up. How about I make the end really fluffy to make up for it? Fair?
Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck
Chuck got up, wandered into the kitchen, and opened the refrigerator door. He looked around for a moment, sighed, and shut the door. "I really need to go grocery shopping," he grumbled. There was a knock at the door, and he slowly turned, staring at it. There was another knock, jarring him out of his thoughts. He ambled over, and cracked open the door to see Sarah standing there, with a box in one hand with a drink carrier balanced on top of it.
"Gonna let me in or do I have to pass the food through the crack in the door?" she asked.
"Is that for me?" he asked, smelling the coffee and the donuts.
"It is… if you open the door," she told him. Chuck shook his head, opened the door, and stood out of the way. "How are you?"
"Great," he said, as she walked past him. She put the box on the kitchen table, pulled one of the coffees out of the drink holder, and walked back over to him, offering it. Chuck took it, took a sip, and his eyelids fluttered at the taste as he swore he felt the caffeine work its way through him.
"So, I'm going to give you that, because you're new to being Sarah Walker's friend," she began, making his eyes go wide. "I know what today is, I know you are most certainly not great, at least emotionally," she quickly added. "I mean, you are great in general, but emotionally, you're not, so… Chuck Bartowski… how are you?"
Chuck stood there a second. "It's the first anniversary of my dad's death, Sarah. I'm not doing great at all." Sarah reached over and rubbed his arm, a sad smile on her face. "I just miss him so much."
"Okay, here's what we're going to do," Sarah told him. "You are going to eat breakfast, take a shower, and put on some clothes, and then you and I are going to go have an honor Stephen Bartowski day."
"What's that?" Chuck asked.
"I have no idea, you have to show me what you and your dad enjoyed doing, and we're going to go do it together," Sarah told him.
"Sarah, you have to work," Chuck pointed out.
"Not today I don't," she told him pointedly. It was in that moment, that Chuck decided he wanted to get to know Sarah Walker. If she was Ma23 or if she wasn't, she was someone worth knowing. "I also have Morgan's blessing." Chuck let out a low whistle, and couldn't help but chuckle.
"Laugh it up, fuzzball," she told him, making his eyes go wide. She walked over, got her coffee and chocolate croissant. She turned back toward him and began to eat, her eyes sparkling.

They stood on the boardwalk, leaning against the rail, staring at the ocean. The day had consisted of video games, bumper cars, hot dogs, and a lot of laughter. "Thanks," Chuck said quietly. "You do not know what this means to me."
Sarah was quiet for a moment. "As much as my dad drives me nuts, I don't know what I'd do without him. Or Paul, for that matter." Chuck glanced at her. "I guess he's technically my step-dad."
"Do you have a step-mom?" Chuck asked.
"Several former ones," Sarah replied, a weariness in her voice. "It's the step-grandmothers that are younger than me that I could do without." She saw his eyes widen and couldn't help but laugh. "It's even worse than it sounds."
"It sounds horrific," Chuck muttered. "But… they are family."
"No, they're gold-diggers," Sarah told Chuck, making him burst out into laughter. "God, is it so much to want someone who loves you for you, and not what they think you are as a member of society, or for your bank account?"
"No, it is not," Chuck said. She turned toward him, and saw him looking out over the ocean. "But I'm in love with someone I don't even know."
"No, you're in love with someone you haven't met," she reminded him. "You know her… or him."
"It's not a guy," Chuck insisted.
"From Tibet," she continued.
"I thought it was Pakistan?" Chuck asked.
"Who's one hundred and two," Sarah finished.
"I didn't know catfishing was so popular among the elderly," Chuck commented.
"Keeps 'em young at heart," Sarah replied, twisting her lips, trying not to laugh. She let out a sigh. "Okay, I know what you're doing."
"I'm glad someone does," Chuck replied.
"I'm going to ignore that stupid remark," she told him. "You're trying to avoid whatever is next."
"What is next is it's time for me to go home," Chuck told her.
"Chuck, today is about honoring your dad," Sarah told him. "Whatever it is, I'm in."

"Okay, this is bad, I'm leaving," she said.
"Do you think my ninety- to one-hundred-and-two Pakistani/Tibetan girlfriend who's a guy would bail on me?" Chuck asked.
"If he had any sense he would," Sarah told him. "Chuck, are you serious?"
"It's what he liked to do," Chuck told her.
"Do we have to… participate?" Sarah asked.
"I'm so glad I didn't take you to The Rocky Horror Picture Show," Chuck muttered.
"Screw it, we're doing this," she told him. He gave her a look. "We are… I just don't know what we're doing." Chuck flipped the book in front of them a few pages and pointed. She nodded. "Come on."
"What happened to the nerves?" Chuck asked, as the two walked up to the stage.
"If you can do it, I can do it," she told him. She grabbed a mike and handed it to him, and then grabbed her own. The piano music began, and she looked at Chuck. He began to sing.
Some. Times in our lives
We all have pain
We all have sorrooowww
But. If we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Sarah took a deep breath, and began.
Lean on me. When you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For. It won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on.
The two continued the duet, both realizing that they weren't quite as alone as they thought they were.
A/N: You want a peak at next time, don't you? Well, there's no piece I can give without giving some things away, so to sum, Chuck goes to the bank, bank has a problem, Chuck calls Sarah, Sarah misunderstands. All that and MORE in 24ish hours.
