No skit this time. Just wanna say thank you to each and everyone of you for reading and giving honest feedback. It means a lot to me that many of you like this story to the point I'm jumping around my friends gleefully. Now I'm 22 so another year into the unknown. Pretty excited all things considered so let's get these uploads going and once again, thank you. All of you.
P.S.- If anyone has interesting ideas for the story, I'm more than happy to hear them.
The Next Day
"Come on, Pippin! You can't hit him at that rate!" Cecily shouts.
"Faster, Relon! I know you can move faster with that form! I've seen it!" Yujiro adds.
Tch! Considering I've been moving for three hours straight, that's difficult to manage!
Dodging another attack from Pippin, he immediately rolls out of the way of an incoming staff only to bring his arms up to be launched off his feet colliding with the dojo's wall.
With a loud thud, he falls to the ground. Panting heavily, his arms shake as he lifts himself.
"Too slow!"
Not bothering to look, strength comes to the boy as he lifts up kicking off the wall avoiding Yujiro's knuckle slam. Rolling to his feet, he looks around at all three surrounding him. Fire engulfs his arm as he looks down punching the floor as fire disperses in all directions forcing Cecily away. Looking back up, he catches Pipping with the clap of his hands, the momentum sliding him back to a halt.
"Don't forget about me too soon!" The man roars jumping towards the two with a fist.
Looking to his right at the man, Relon grips Pippin. Performing a fast swing, he swings the sword towards the man. Having to grab the sword, he looks to Relon, the boy firing a blast of fire before jumping away from the hulking man crashing to where Relon was.
Fwoosh!
Looking back, he barely blocks an arrow by Cecily.
"Don't forget about all of your opponents. If you do, you're a dead man." She advises walking to him.
"Right..." Relon pants in response as he exits his form falling on his but finally relaxing.
"Tch, smart move throwing your sword. I can feel your flames starting to feel hotter too. We still have a long way to go though."
"Great... What's next?"
"Learning how to wield weapons." Cecily answers.
"Any chance you have a double sabre?" To this, the woman grins.
3 Months
"Can't believe you already grapsed the basics of all those weapons."
"Well considering we didn't do much sparring but mainly studying all day long, it doesn't seem like such a surprise." Relon notes.
"Point taken. Alright, find them." Yujiro orders with crossed arms.
In the park clearing, Relon is transformed focusing on sensing the nearby monsters. A training otherwise referred to as Hide-and-Seek.
I can't sense their presences now.
Ba-dump. Ba-dump.
Widening, he focuses on the heartbeat taking off into the forest stopping before a tree. Looking up, he sees an ape looking down releasing a grunt.
"Found you. As well as..." He takes off like a blur through the first stopping before one hiding ape after another.
Soon, he returns to the clearing walking to Yujiro.
"Well?"
"It's as I thought. I can't sense presences anymore when I'm like this. But, I can sense a living thing's heartbeat and from a good distance too."
"Hmm. That'll come in handy depending on the situation."
"Yeah." The teen replies reverting to normal.
"Alright, anything else you want to test out?" The man asks.
"Actually, there is." Relon gets into a stance, the hot sensation present in his arm.
Raising up, he fires a stream of flames towards the opening in the canopy. Eventually it subsides as with a few more pumps for good measure, no more fire releases.
"Alright. What was the point in that?"
"I had a hypothesis. I noticed this back during my fight with Arentula." A wave of heat expels around him as his features alter. "When After I've exhausted all of my heat, I get a portion back once I transform." Looking up once more, he releases a fire much hotter and larger than before.
"How so?"
"It's weird. It's like I have two tanks. One tank of fire for me without my form and one with. Yet, when I've exhausted the first, I have another ready as well as the first regains a small portion of that lost." He finishes, the flamethrower ceasing.
"Hm. So you think it works vice versa as well." Yujiro remarks as Relon turns back to normal.
"It's a thought. Thanks to all that training we did, I now always have fire on standby. I don't have to work up extra body heat like before when I was in Legram." He fires a flamethrower for the third time though it only lasts just under a minute.
"Let's see then."
Transforming, Relon fires punches at the sky for nothing to come out. Punching a few more times, nothing comes.
"I guess it's only one way. That'd be pretty overpowered if that were the case though." Relon reverts to normal.
"There is no such thing as an ability being overpowered. Only the one who uses it is considered overpowered. Take me for example. My strength is beyond abnormal yet it's because I am the one wielding it that it is so dangerously overpowered."
"I guess you have a point..."
"Listen, you're a special case. You have the ability to increase your fighting parameters. Teo's kid has a similar case though I don't know how he's come with his training. But anyway, now's the time to figure out just what this form is capable of."
"Yeah. You're right." Relon getting into a thinking posture. "Just what all can I do...?"
3 Months Later
"Today, you'll be fighting against Grunoja. You ain't nowhere near ready for the Lord of the Forest itself."
"Then what makes you think I can against Grunoja then?"
"You seem capable now is all." Yujiro answers with a shrug.
"And let me guess, no Pippin?"
"None whatsoever. Don't want you accidentally cut one dead." The sword seeming to saddened. "You'll be using it soon enough so don't worry. Focus on what's before you. I want you fully prepared for anything you end up going up against."
"So basically you; a one man army?"
"But better." He adds. "Ready?" Relon walks off to face the large baboon creature, the smaller apes and other monsters watching from the perimeter of the clearing.
Looking up to behemoth, Relon gulps.
"No hard feelings no matter what?" He asks, the beast grunting in response. "I want to say that was a yes."
"Begin!"
Relon immediately dashes forward under the primate avoiding a slam of its colossal hand.
"Starting off like that? Fine!"
Now at its ankle, Relon rears back delivering a strong punch. The beast roaring as without any indication, Relon is hit with the very same angle sending him away. Getting up, he shakes away the daze as he sees the beast looking towards the elder beast. The two conversing for a moment, the elder beast shaking its head.
"So, you don't think I'm worthy, huh?" Heat seeping from his body gaining everyone's attention. "I'll show you!" He rushes off.
Grunoja slams the ground causing a mini quake as Relon jumps propelling himself with his fire directly as the large beast.
"Eat this!" He turns the fire on the beast blasting its face as it roars in pain backing away.
"Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark." Yujiro comments from the sidelines.
Regaining it bearings, it glares at Relon howling loudly as the monster beats its chest.
"Finally taking me serious? Good." Relon takes off as his eyes widen taking sight of the monster jumping directly on top of him.
THUD!
"Whoa! That was very uncalled for." Yujiro say, his voice full of judgement.
As the smoke clears, it shows Grunoja looking down to not see the boy.
"You know, this is a sparring match." Relon's voice mentions from its shoulder, their eyes meeting for a brief moment before Relon delivers a strong punch to the face reeling its head back as he follows through with a strong kick to its nose knocking the beast off balance.
With a mighty thud it falls back as Relon lands on the ground reverting to normal.
It's frustrating that I have to use that form so much now just to keep up. I seriously need to get stronger without using it.
Snapping from his thoughts by the growl of Grunoja, he looks as the beast rises.
"Ready for round two? Careful, you might get burned again." Relon warns and with a single passing moment, they're off again.
"Hmm. How long do you think it'll be before Grunoja and Relon start getting along?" Yujiro asks the Lord of the Forest.
Unresponsive, it gives a low grunt.
"Before he leaves? Meh, I don't see it."
Both are interrupted as a grunt gains their attention. Both Relon and Grunoja get up having collided attacks.
"Not bad. What else do you have in you?" Relon questions taking off once more firing a blast of fire which Grunoja blocks with its hand forcing the 14-year-old to the side.
Giving a grunt, the monster swipes the downed hand grabbing Relon and throwing him far off out of the clearing and into the forest. A moment later, a giant fire can be seen as in seconds a stream of the flames makes contact with the large beast's abdomen sending it off its feet and towards the entrance. Out of the forest comes Relon, anger written all over his face as well as signs of his transformation.
"WHAT PART OF SPARRING DID YOU NOT GET?! FINE! YOU WANT TO BE LIKE THAT?! WE CAN PLAY LIKE THAT!" Relon exclaims taking off as the monster gets to its feet roaring at the incoming flame boy.
"Yeah, I take that back. Totally can see it. Welp, I'll be back. Gotta blow out that fire the kid made."
1 Month Later
"You want to not use your transformation during training?" Cecily repeats.
"Yeah. I feel if I train more in my base form, then my transformation will become more potent. That and having to use it so much is somewhat frustrating. It doesn't feel so much as a trump card as it should."
"Hmm. Kid makes a good point. Sounds good to me. Just means he'll have to fight harder against us." Yujiro states from his position against the bedroom wall.
"Alright then. Today is a break day so relax while you can. Be prepared for tomorrow, you two."
"Roger." The boy and the sword nod heading downstairs.
"Seems he's starting to understand himself more." Yujiro comments watching the boy walk out of the sight past the corner.
"There still is so much about his body, his skill, that we nor Relon himself knows. Such as that spirit, Nameless." Cecily comments.
"That or the kid isn't telling all he knows." That causing the woman to look to her brother with concern.
"Do you think that?"
"Naw, I'm just stating a possibility. Whether he chooses to disclose such information to us is his choice. All we can do is support him as best we can."
"I suppose you're right."
Walking into the main room, he spots the majority of the orphans conversing as usual and at a table talking to a few other kids is Norowareta. Approaching them, the kids take notice greeting our protagonist.
"Relon!" A boy calls happily.
"It's your day off, right?" Another boy asks.
"Hey Phineas. Ferb. And yeah, it is. What are you guys up to?"
"We were thinking of what to do today."
"Oh? What might that be?"
"We still haven't thought of that part." Ferb answers.
"Why not go for a walk around Celdic? Maybe an idea will strike. You two are always thinking in the orphanage.
"That's a great idea!"
"Then a walk for ideas is what we shall do." Ferb notes.
"Noro, what say we go too?" Relon asks, the girl happily nodding.
"Hey, where are you guys going?" All look to see Blaze and the other 20 mixture of kids and teens.
"Going for a walk so the boys can come up with more ideas on what to do. Want to join?" His questions is answered with cheers as the kids all huddle around the group.
"I guess that answers that." Blaze comments, her and the other teens joining in. "I'll bring a notebook. With all of us together, I'm sure ideas are bound to come."
"Thanks. Alright, let's head out!" Relon pumps a fist in the air.
"YEAH!"
One Year Mark
"Tch! Fighting Grunoja was hard enough but him and Mister?!" Landing on a tree limb, Relon looks back to the sight of wind blasting through the trees towards him.
Swinging down to the floor, he back once more to cross his arms as Grunoja punts the boy off his feet with its huge fist. Recovering, Relon lands along the side of a tree holding on by one of its limbs.
"Are you complaining?!" Snapping up, Yujiro comes crashing down from the canopy as both land with a mighty thud. "Haha, reflexes sharp as ever." He snarls, Relon on top having switched positioning so Yujiro crashed to the ground and not him.
"I need sharp reflexes- Whoa!" Before he can finish, he's launched off a good distance in the forest.
"I swear, he keeps forgetting there's multiple opponents. Nice one, Grunoja." The beast huffing before chasing after Relon.
Groaning having landed in a nearby shrub, Relon rolls out feeling the ground rumble.
"You are so lucky I'm not using my transformation." He breathes getting to his feet, his arm on fire.
Letting lose a powerful stream, Grunoja has little time to react as it hits the beast square in its abdomen knocking it off its feet.
"Whoa... Now that's what I'm talking about!" With renewed vigor, he takes off at the recovering monster.
"That's more like it." Yujiro comments with a smirk.
"Come on, Grunoja!" Relon calls jumping with his flaming fist reared back.
The beast retaliating with a bellowing cry as it thrusts out its fist. Both collide sending a hot gust of wind throughout the forest. Slowly, Relon feels his momentum drop as the large baboon pushes him back.
"I'm not done yet! Let's... Gooooooooooo!" Out of nowhere, his body is covered in flames as the beast punches him away. "Didn't you hear me?! I said I ain't done yet!" The teen roars zooming towards the beast.
Spinning his body to avoid being grabbed, he punches its abdomen once more unleashing a large explosion.
"Whoa!" Yujiro shouts holding up a hand as the smoke goes past him.
Looking back to the source, he sees both Relon and Grunoja laid out unconscious.
"Damn, that was quite something." He says approaching the two to feel something hit his head. "Ouch! I thought I told you to stay with the Elder." He says, Pippin ignoring him as it goes over placing itself in Relon's hand.
"Sheesh. You're way too overprotective sometimes. Wait, did you feel it when the kid used that new move?" The sword escaping the boy to nod its handle before going back to Relon's hand. "Huh. Interesting."
6 Months Later
In the parks usual area, Relon is cross legged meditating at its center, the Elder and Grunoja around him with Yujiro, Pippin, and Norowareta watching from afar. The latter having wanted to see the hard work Relon has been putting in. After much persuasion by Yujiro, Cecily allowed her.
Breathing calmly, Relon begins to release heat.
"I'm going to start now." He announces calmly, the beasts nodding and grunting in response.
Immediately, his left arm comes ablaze.
Focus. I felt that anger, that drive, cover my whole body.
Focusing harder, his fire increases.
"He's still not there yet." Yujiro comments.
"Hm?" The young girl wonders looking briefly to her uncle before back to Relon, a small wild fire where the boy is.
Both beasts inhale before breathing out a powerful breath of wind extinguishing the boy.
"Dang it." He falls back onto the ground. "I get the idea how to do it, I just can't actually do it." He groans as Yujiro, Pippin, and Norowareta approach.
"You know, I think you're getting there. You got the catch yourself on fire part down." Yujiro laughs for Relon to sit up glaring at him.
"Very funny." The boy states getting up. "When I caught myself on fire it was condensed, not wild spewing all over the place."
"I guess it's a good thing you know what you have to do. Come on, let's get going. It's getting late." Both young ones nod.
Outside of the park, Relon stares at the orange sunset.
"The sun is going down sooner." He notes.
"Don't think that'll stop your training."
"I know. I know." Relon sighs to feel a pull on his sleeve. "What's up Noro?"
"Pretty..." She mumbles pointing.
Looking to the sunset, Relon gets an idea.
"Hey, Mister, we'll be right back." He extends a hand towards Norowareta who after a moment of staring with curiosity takes it.
"Eek!"
Snatching her up, he holds the girl bridal style before Pippin flies over inside its sheathe. Placing her on, he sits next to her.
"Hold on, okay?" She remains confused nodding as Pippin slowly elevates into the air.
On impulse, she jumps but Relon's arm around her calms the girl. Looking to her older brother, his smile eases the rest of her worry though she remains latched to his side.
"Look." Obeying, she does to be met with a gorgeous view of the landscape tinted in orange.
"Pretty...!"
"Yeah. It sure it."
"Big brother." She mumbles tugging his sure.
"What's up?"
"Do your best." She gives a tiny smile, one Relon returns widely.
"Leave it to me!"
2 Year Mark
"Alright, show me what you got!" Cecily shouts, the two in the park's clearing as she holds a circular shield in front of her.
"Flare Blitz!" Relon shouts, his body becoming coated in fire as he launches towards the woman.
Anchoring herself, Relon crashes, the residue from the fire cloak dispersing around the clearing. The sheer force making Cecily slid away sinking steadily into the ground until coming to a stop.
Huffing slowly, Relon winces holding his left hand looking at Cecily getting her legs out of the ground. Hearing a whistle, Relon looks to see Yujiro with Pippin approach.
"Finally got it down huh. With one to spare no less."
"Yeah. Ouch." He shakes the pain.
"Seems its destructive power comes with some recoil. It would be wise if you either used it to end a fight quick or use as a last resort." Cecily advises walking over.
"How's the shield, sis?"
Holding it up, she reveals the huge crack in the middle.
"That technique is strong enough to crack a shield made of zemurian but the backlash seems just as great. Use that technique a few times and you'll end up with a broken arm or worse."
"Note to self, use it when things get bad. But, these gloves probably just increased its power honestly."
"Definitely but I wouldn't say all of it were just your zemurian gloves. Maybe 80% was your own power. As I stated when we gave them to you, they make up for some of the brute strength you lack."
"So then..." He looks to his healing hand.
"Most of that was your own strength." Yujiro confirms.
His words dawning on Relon as the boy grips his fist brimming in joy.
"What's next?"
6 Months Later
"You know, when I asked what's next months ago and you told me it's a secret, I was kinda excited to see what you had in store. I thought it would be a new form or training or something. Going with you to a casino is not what I had in mind. And why Raquel of all places?"
"Has one of the best casinos around, I know most of the workers including the manager so I get discounts, and being being stuck in Celdic for so long, you could use a small break."
"You're actually being thoughtful. Color me impressed."
"Exactly. Which is why when we get back, training is going to be even more harder."
"I should have known better."
Stopping outside the casino, Yujiro speaks with some of the guards laughing before turning to Relon.
"Alright, I'll be in and out before you know it." He waves entering the building.
"Yeah right." Relon turns around walking off. "I'll be in and out is Mister-talk for I'll be here for hours." Sighing, he stops looking to the first structure he stops at. "A chapel? No thanks." Placing hands in his pockets, he walks off.
All that Raquel has to offer are pubs, clubs, and the casino. There's not much sightseeing for younger people like me. I'm only 16 and all I can do is either shop or walk around and sightsee which I've already done the last dozen times we've traveled through here.
"Might as well just fight some of the highway monsters. It'll at least help pass the time."
Continuing on, he takes notice of a squadron of RMP. They take notice of the boy and immediately widening their eyes saluting. Chuckling, Relon waves walking on.
Seems my reputation is still known by the RMP. That's good at least.
"Alright, we just have a few questions for you. So ask them and we'll let you go." Stopping, he looks to his left at an alleyway taking sight of some men walking with a younger boy around the corner.
I think I just found something better than monster training.
Following after, he peers around the corner to see the group disappear behind another corner. The boy struggling to get out. Sneaking after, he peers around another to see three men in casual clothing throw the boy against the wall.
"That wasn't the answer we were looking for, you damn brat. Now we'll you again. Where is he?"
"Like I'd tell you idiots." The boy spits back.
He has ash-yellow hair and fierce purple eyes.
"Come on, brat. We all have things to do, people to see. Just save us the trouble and tell us where your friend is."
"I already told you I don't know shit! Even if I did, I wouldn't rat out a friend." He gets to his feet.
The first man on the right throws a punch which the boy blocks but doesn't see the man on the left land a clean hit to his face knocking the boy back to the ground.
"Last chance kid. Either you tell us or we make you pay." The middle man threatens cracking his knuckles.
"Are you kidding?" The boy pants rising back to his feet bringing up his arms. "I can do this all day, assholes." He grins, blood running down the corner of mouth.
"That it! I'm gonna-" The middle man rears back a fist only to feel a hand grab it. "Huh?" Turning around, he is met by Relon. The boy's other hand in his pocket.
"Now, I never went to school, but I'm pretty sure adults beating on children is against the law."
"Mind your own business." The man pulls his arm back. "Scram before we make a mess out of you two."
"If only you could." All three men turn to the newcomer.
"You wanna say that again, brat?" The man on the right questions.
"What? You're so old you've gone deaf on something?"
"Why I outta!" The man throws a punch but Relon parries, his hand coming from his pocket to reveal his zemurian glove as he delivers a fast backfist knocking the man to the ground unconscious.
"David!"
"Now, I'll say this so you two will understand. Beat it and I won't beat you. Don't and you'll be in for a world of hurt." He repeats cracking his knuckles.
"That's it! Let's get him!" The two men charge and before any can make sense of it, Relon lands past them as the two's bodies slump to the ground.
"I warned them." Relon sighs. "You alright?"
"Yeah... Didn't even feel them."
"That's a relief. So why were they ganging up on you?" Relon bends down inspecting the men leaving the boy silent. "Regardless of the fact I saved you, I am a stranger so I understand if you don't want to tell me." Relon notes.
"... A buddy of mine stole some goods from that merchant you're looking at."
"Stole...? Ah, I get it." Relon stands. "Your friend's an orphan, aren't they?" His question makes the boy's eyes widen.
"How?" Is all the boy asks.
"My life revolves around orphans so the moment you said stole, I had a guess."
It's also thanks in part to Mister.
"Anyway. I'll deal with these three so you might wanna hide for a second."
Agreeing, the boy turns around fishing for a key before heading inside. From the second floor, he peeks out a window.
Well that's convenient.
Heading back onto the road, he waves the RMP over.
"Mr. Lucinance, is there a problem, sir?" One asks as they all salute.
"At ease guys. I'm on break from being the princess' bodyguard so no need to be so uptight."
"It is only normal to show respect to those that personally protect one of the royal family. Major Claire, Chancellor Osborne, and many other officers feel the same." One of the four answers.
"Thanks."
Though I doubt Osborne actually does.
"So how may we be of service?" Another asks.
"I just so happen to find some men beating up on child. I helped the child get away while I knocked the three men out. Don't know where the child went but I know it's better than where they may have sent them. Think you guys could deal with the men?"
"Yes. Of course, sir. Lead the way."
Entering the alleyway, they salute one last time before taking away the men. Hearing a door open, he sees the boy having cleaned up his face.
"What are you? A cop or something?"
"Nope. Just a guy who had a job high up there." Relon shrugs. "Don't worry. I'm on your side. The name's Relon. Relon Lucinance." He extends a hand.
Hesitant, the boy shakes.
"Ash. Ash Carbide. Thanks... for the save."
"Don't mention it. Just glad I was walking by when I did. Come on." He begins walking off.
"Where are you going?"
"You get some money so I can help your friend out." He continues on as Ash looks bewildered before walking with the older boy.
Stopping in front of the Casino, Relon catches the guard's attention and after asking for Yujiro, the guard goes in as the man comes out.
"What is it? I was racking up a good wad of mira."
"Money. Need. Orphan." Relon states lazily with his hand out.
Glancing to Ash, the man complies handing a small bag.
"See you later. Don't do anything else stupid." Yujiro waves.
"No promises." Relon calls back. "Alright, lead the way."
"You're seriously going to just hand over that sack of Mira? No jokes or nothin'?"
"Yup. I live in an orphanage not to mention I was one so helping out the less fortunate is something I feel like doing. Although I'm not actually an orphan anymore. But that's besides the point."
Unable to respond, the two head towards the outskirts of the city. Taking a small path around the borders of Raquel, they come to a small camping area.
"Oi, Laurence! It's Ash!" The boy calls out.
After a moment, another boy in tattered rags comes from hiding.
"Who're you?" Laurence asks.
"He's a guy here to help." Ash says as Relon tosses the bag of mira.
"Wha..." Laurence looks into the bag before his eyes shoots up. "Say sike right now!"
"Trust me, I didn't believe it either. The guy is legit. Dealt with the merchant and his cronies you stole from."
"That money should help you out for a while. At the very least get you some clothes and a roof over your head. If you can get a job, then you're all set." Relon mentions but doesn't get a response for him to look to the orphan.
Falling to the ground, the boy suddenly bursts out crying to himself.
"Thank you...! Thank you! Thank you!"
"Don't mention it." He eases with a smile.
Grabbing the essentials, the three head back to ash's place to clean up and throughout the day, shopped for clothing and after hours of searching found an apartment with a cheap rent.
"I'm pretty sure the amount of thanks I could give wouldn't be enough." Ash says, Relon and him at the gate, the moon having come out with the night sky. "Laurence's family were murdered and without anyway to pay for their home, he was kicked out."
"... You don't have to thank me. Orphans have to stick together after all. And I should thank you for helping me find a gift for a friend of mine."
"Yeah... I hope your girlfriend will like it."
"Girlfriend? No, no, no. We're just childhood friends is all." He dismisses.
Laura I'm pretty sure is too focused on the way of the sword anyway for romance. At least for now.
"Don't know when we'll meet again but here's to hoping things go well for you and Laurence, Ash." Relon extends a hand.
"Same to you. Watch your back out there. The world ain't nice." He returns the firm grip.
"Yeah. You can say that again." He sees Yujiro come walking their way, bags of loot in both hands.
Three Year Mark
"Alright. You versus me, kid. Let's how strong your transformation is now. Hopefully you haven't forgotten how to use it over the years." Yujiro states across from Relon, the two in the park's clearing with all of the beasts along the parameter.
"Can't forget what frustration feels like." He responds closing his eyes exhaling a slow, calm breath. "But seriously, you wait to fight after I take my entrance exam?"
"You were only there for an hour or two. Stop complaining. Now, show me how strong you are at 100 percent!" In a snarl, pure power in the form of an aura radiates from the man.
"Not holding back, huh? Fine then!" Getting into a stance, Relon clenches his hands, the familiar sensation long since untouched resurfaces as lines of fire erupts into all directions along the ground before bursting forth creating an explosion.
Slowly, the heat expelling from around his body simmers. The grass around him burnt to a crisp.
"This power...! Whoa..."
"Good. Seems not using it was wise of you."
"You knew from the beginning that it was, didn't you?"
"Hmpf. Who cares? All I care about is if you can give me a good fight!" His power bursts outwards. "If you pass, I'll consider you for than a cub!" He growls readying himself.
"Fine by me! Careful though... with all this new power pumping through me... you might get burned!"
"See if you can burn me!"
"Flare Blitz!"
Both disappear for two forces to collide. The sheer power creating a blazing heat wave travels all throughout the forest forcing all of the monsters to take refuge.
Sitting outside on the bench are Norowareta and Cecily petting Null when a hot breeze comes through. Both glance to the other as Null's head raises in the direction it came from.
Back in the park, a large crater with smoke and flames rising into the air lies where the clearing once held. On one side lays Relon slowly rolling onto his back.
"Ooooooooh... What happened...?" He groans gathering his senses eyeing the smoky air.
"Look around, that'll tell you." The voice of Yujiro answers.
Cranking his head back slowly, he sees Yujiro shirtless casually sitting above him. Shaking away the last of his daze, Relon pushes himself up to widen at the huge crater they're in.
"Yep. We did this." He gets up extending a hand for Relon who gratefully accepts.
"So did I pass?"
"Yeah. Didn't expect our fight would be so short though." He sighs.
Hearing movement all around, they see the monsters carrying mounds of dirt beginning to fill the crater.
"Let's help them."
And so they did. Not longer after, they returned. Relon falling flat on his bed alongside Pippin. Soon, a bed next to him creaks under a large weight.
"What's next?" Relon asks tired.
"Thors." Yujiro answers. "Your training is complete."
