Frostfire woke up to... darkness. She tentatively reached out her talons and felt the air. Nothing. She began walking. Soon she could see a light. Frostfire ran towards it. But as hard as she ran, she couldn't reach it. She sat down in frustration. She felt about in the darkness again and her talons met cold air. She leaned forward, trying to see if there was a floor beneath her. Suddenly, she pitched forward and started falling down... down... down.

Frostfire sat up, gasping. She looked around franticly, trying to figure out where she was. She realized that she was in a cold, dark, empty cell. Frostfire shakily got to her feet, making her way towards the door. She gripped the bars between her talons, peering through the bars, trying to see outside of her cell. Dragons marched past, carrying spears almost as big as them. They all had the same eyes, cold, black and empty. One of them saw her looking and jabbed her talons with it's spear. Crying out, Frostfire let go, nursing her talons gently. She barely held back her tears. The creature (Frostfire refused to call them 'dragons) laughed, elbowing it's companion, who joined in. Frostfire snarled at them, determined not to show them her pain. The first creature frowned, reaching out with it's spear to jab her again. Another creature walked up to them, pushing the first away from Frostfire's cell.

"Ssstop… that… Ssshadow… Viper…" It said angrily.

"Oh… who… made… you… the… bosss… Ssshadow… Morrowssseer…" The SandWing looking one hissed.

"Ssshadow… Heatssstroke… and… that'sss… General… to… you… Viper..." Shadow Morrowseer said smugly. " s... l." Shadow Viper said reluctantly. Shadow Morrowseer smirked. Shadow Viper's companion shifted awkwardly. "You… may… go… Shadow… Bonefish..." Shadow Morrowseer finally said. The SeaWing looking one, Shadow Bonefish, nodded and hurriedly walked off. Shadow Viper and Shadow Morrowseer glared at each other for a moment, before Shadow Viper looked away. Shadow Morrowseer nodded and walked away, off to harass someone else. Shadow Viper glared at his back for a while, before moving on. Frostfire watched curiously as the 'Shadow' dragons worked. She had to admit it was impressive how they moved, acting like an army. With a jolt she realized that they probably were an army, by the way they acted. Frostfire lay down on the mat in the corner that she assumed was for sleeping. Escape could wait until the morning. Right now, Frostfire was exhausted.

CLANG! CLANG! Frostfire jolted awake at the sound of ringing bells. SCREECH! She looked up just as her door was opened and a Shadow dragon walked in, pushing a cart. It placed a tray filled with suspicious looking gray slop down on a small table. It turned around and walked out, closing the door with a loud smash. Frostfire got up and walked over to the table. She sniffed the slop. It smelled horrible. Frostfire picked it up and walked over to the window and dumped the slop out one of the bars. She grabbed the fork that was placed on the table and began sharpening it.
