Lena arrived with her limousine in front of a warehouse and hurriedly exited to open the door. Her movements were fast, imprecise, and obviously her stress level was at its peak. Behind the door was a laboratory, a laboratory that she had taken care to hide from the public eye, in fact, it was only accessible with Lena's DNA, no one else could enter except her and only her.

And so she hurried back to the finalization of the kryptonite vaccine. She was scared because she knew her office was bugged, Lionel liked to keep an eye on his daughter, and for her, it was almost certain that despite the precautions she had taken, Lionel knew that Alex had seemed to leave his office angry and was aware of the story. So she had to hurry up and take the vaccine to the WD, the only place in the world that could synthesize it if anything happened to her.

Then she finally screamed:

- EUREKA! I finally made it, Kara is saved, I have to bring the vaccine to Alex immediately!

She went out through a back door at the back of her laboratory as a precaution, suspecting that her driver had already warned Lionel of her whereabouts, and took a motorcycle she had parked behind in case one day she had to run away in a hurry. And she discreetly made her way to the meeting place with Alex.

She was already there, waiting discreetly in the darkness of a bus stop.

She saw a woman arrive at her height on a motorcycle and was surprised to see Lena get off when she took off her helmet.

Immediately she and Alex hugged each other.

- I was... I can't believe you are alive, I never stopped looking for you, NEVER!

She was cut off by Lena, obviously her stress was at its peak but she withdrew from her friend's embrace.

- Alex, I don't have time to stay here, I have to go into hiding, my father has probably discovered everything and destroyed my laboratory by now.

- Discovered what, what lab?" said a dazed Alex who didn't understand her friend.

- I don't have time to give you a complete summary, but to make a long story short I was under the thumb of Lionel who threatened to kill Kara if I said or did anything.

- So I pretended to serve his interests, he thought I was helping him with human cloning...

- Cloning? So that's what we found out with Kara...

- Discovered what?

- We discovered a secret warehouse full of human clones in viscous cylindrical tubes, Kara was disgusted with them, I'd never seen him like that before...

- I'm... I'm really sorry, I really tried to slow things down, but... Kara was in danger, I had no other choice but to cry.

Alex immediately took her friend in his arms. But her friend pushed her away, she still had something to tell him.

- Alex, I did it! I managed to save Kara and her cousin! I found a way so that neither Lionel nor anyone else would hurt Kara and by extension her cousin as well.

- What do you mean, you didn't?

- I found a vaccine Alex, I found a kryptonite vaccine!

- WHAT? Almost screamed Alex?

- It's the truth Alex, but I really don't have time to explain to you the why and how, I have to leave and hide, my father has probably found out by now.

And she took a vial out of her jacket and handed it to Alex and told him that this was the only copy of his vaccine, and that she had to take it immediately to the WD to replicate it and create another one because this vial will only be valid for one month and each month more will have to be recreated.

Alex took her friend in his arms again and thanked her warmly. Then Alex also offered to help her and suggested that she go into hiding at the WD.

- There is no place in the world where you will be safer than here.

- I... I don't know Alex, I don't know if I could be around Supergirl knowing that she doesn't remember me, it would be too hard to live...

- And how do you think she would react if one day she remembered everything and I let you go?

- And then you are the best person to replicate the vaccine and create new ones, you will have all the help and materials to do it.

- Okay, thank you Alex, but I have to go by my house first, there are some compromising documents for Lionel that could cause him a lot of harm and I absolutely have to get them back first.

- All right, but I'm going with you!

- No Alex, the vaccine dose you have is the only one available, you have to keep it safe in case something happens to me, so I'm going alone.

Alex wanted to protest, but she knew that her friend was absolutely right, she loved her sister more than anything, and she had in her hands the thing that will keep her from being afraid of kryptonite.

So she was worried for her friend that she let her go with her motorcycle at full speed.

Kara, on the other hand, was flying through the air in a Supergirl. And a discontinuous stream of thoughts overwhelmed her.

How could she have forgotten, how could she have forgotten the softness of Lena's skin, the taste of her kisses that made her capsize so much, their laughter, their first meeting at the age of 12, the shivers she felt in her presence, her smell, the beating of her heart so characteristic, the color of her hair, the emerald green of her eyes, her gaze on her, the warm breath of the latter on her skin when she made love? She was so angry at herself for forgetting that she had tears in her eyes. Tears that redoubled in intensity when she thought of the life that Lena must have had to pretend not to know her in order to save her life. She had put her own life in danger, "paused" out of love for her, she had to find her as soon as possible.

The emptiness she had felt inside her for several years, she now knew it was because she missed Lena in her life.

But her sight and all her senses were mired in her tears and she could not see clearly or hear properly. So she rose into the sky, stopped, her cape flying in the wind, put her arms along her body, closed her eyes, palm of her hands turned forward and breathed, breathed again and again calmly and serenely to awaken all the senses she had inside her.

And suddenly she heard the object of her research, recognized the heartbeat so characteristic of Lena and rushed as fast as she could towards them.

When Lena arrived at her apartment, she had just gotten to her apartment and had put the keys in the lock to get in. She was in a hurry to gather all the necessary documents to counteract Lionel when she was surprised that Supergirl was going crazy in her apartment and stopped dead in front of her.

- If you want to stop me, you're going to have to stand in line," Lena said as she continued to collect the documents.

- I'm going to... I remember everything Lena, EVERYTHING! You, us, EVERYTHING.

Surprised, Lena turned around and immediately dropped what she was holding in her hands.

She didn't have time to do anything else as Supergirl had put her lips on hers for a fiery kiss that Lena hastened to answer, so much she had missed her for so many years.

- We... we... must... leave... managed to say Lena between two fiery kisses.

The warmth of her lips, their tastes, their tongues that bound again, damn it, as she had missed it, she thought.

She completely forgot about the fact that she had to rush off to hide at the WD and let herself go completely, becoming far too enterprising by running her hands through Kara's hair to draw her closer and feel the softness of her lips. But the emotion was too strong and she was overwhelmed, and she started crying her eyes out.

Kara immediately stopped her kisses and took Lena tenderly in her arms, placing her head against Lena's neck, each one closing their eyes, enjoying the moment gently, each one now crying on the other's shoulder.

- I'm... sorry," Kara finally said.

- I will never forgive myself for erasing you from my memory.

- It's not your fault Kara made Lena hug a tearful Kara even tighter.

But they didn't have the time to enjoy this moment of reunion when Lena's front door exploded, bringing in a dozen men armed to the teeth and immediately landing in front of her in super speed to protect her.

She wanted to disarm the men but didn't have time to do anything so she took a burst of Kryptonite bullets under Lena's horrified eye.

And it was a dying Kara on the ground who saw the men in the distance taking Lena away under her helpless eyes.
