Yukin tried his best to duel against Renji, but Renji surprised him by using all three summoning methods. Yukin has 4000LP with Crater Cobra at 1700atk points and a facedown. That might not be enough. Renji had 3100LP. He also had his fusion monster, Dimensional Fire Warrior Percival at 2200atk points; his synchro monster, Dimensional Gust Warrior Agravain at 2400; and his xyz monster, Dimensional Sea Warrior Bedivere at 2600.
"I can't believe he can use all three summoning methods..." Zoey said.
"I've never seen anyone pull something like that off before." Siegrain said. All of them couldn't believe what they just witnessed.
"How did you do that?" Yukin questioned.
"It's not that hard once you get the hang of it." Renji said. "You should be more cautious over the fact that they're about to attack! Percival, attack Crater Cobra!" Percival was the first one to attack as it went at Yukin's snake. His snake tried to stop it, but he slashed flames down on it and destroyed. Yukin jumped out of the way of the flames, but his life points dropped to 3500. "Agravain, your turn!" Agravain went at Yukin and readied his lance.
"Yukin!" His friends called as they all feared that this could be the end.
"I activate Rainbow Performance!" Yukin said as he played his face-down. "I can only activate this spell when I have no monsters on my field! This spell creates three Rainbow Dancer tokens to intercept your attack!" Three peacock dangers in red, blue, and yellow came out and they all had zero defense points.
"Very well. Agravain, attack!" Agravain attacked the red one and destroyed it easily. "Bedivere, it's your turn!" Bedivere swung it's club around and smashed it against the yellow dancer with her being destroyed as well.
"That was close." Alyssa said.
"Yeah, but he still has a monster on the field to help him." Augustus said.
"I wouldn't say that exactly. I activate Bedivere's ability!" Renji said. "I use one overlay unit and it allows one monster to make a second attack!" Bedivere's overlay unit went into his club. He spun it around and attacked Yukin's only monster. "You may have withstood all of my assaults, but you are left defenseless now. I suggest you make this next move of yours count." He claimed as he placed a card facedown
"I will!" Yukin said, but he had second thoughts as he looked at his hand. 'Easier said than done. I don't have anything in my hand that can help me now. Still, I've got to take out those three warriors. Since Bedivere is the strongest and can allow a monster to make a second attack, I better start with him.' "My turn!" He drew a card and saw it was a spell he can use. "I'll start by summoning Fire Firefly to the field!" He summoned out his firefly with it having 500atk points. "Next, I'm activating Monster's Treasure! This spell card allows me to draw one card for every monster that's on the field. Since there are four monster, I can draw four cards!" Yukin drew those four cards. He saw they were ones he can use. "I now activate Variation! This spell allows me to summon any monster from my hand just as long as they each have different attributes. I'll summon Stingray Surfer, who is water, and Electrocharged Python, which is light!" He summoned out his stingray at 800atk points and summoned a yellow snake with a lightning-pattern on it's body with 1200atk points.
"I believe I know what's coming next." Renji said.
"You guess right! First, since Stingray Surfer was special summoned, I can draw one more card!" Yukin said as he drew that card. "Next, I combine the forces of fire with the forces of water! Come together as one!" Fire went around his firefly and water came around his stingray as the two of them joined together. "I elemental summon a sapphire attribute! I summon Sapphire Serapho!" Serapho came out on the field with 2500atk points.
"Yes! He brought out his best monster!" Zoey said.
"Maybe, but Sapphire Serapho doesn't stand a chance against Bedivere. If he can't take him out, Yukin doesn't stand a chance." Soto said. Even with his best monster, Yukin doesn't stand a chance.
"I now activate Fire Firefly's ability! Since it left the field, I can summon one more monster!" Yukin said. "I summon Flame Leon!" Yukin summoned out a white lion with fire for a mane with it having 1000atk points.
"What are you planning on doing with those three?" Renji said.
"You're about to see." Yukin said as he jumped up the buildings and made his way up until he reached the same level as Renji so he be on equal ground as him. "You people from LID might think you're above us, but I'm about to show you wrong when I take out your warriors. I activate Electrocharged Python's ability! He can grant one monster an extra 100atk points for every other monster I have on the field. I choose Serapho!" His snake coiled around Serapho's arm and stretched it's tail around Flame Leon. The python gave Serapho a charge as his attack points rose to 2700.
"Serapho's the strongest monster on the field now!" Zoey said.
"Yay!" The kids cheered.
"He might have a chance!" Siegrain said.
"I'm also going to activate Flame Leon's ability. When a monster attacks, he can give that monster an extra 500atk points." Yukin said. "Show him! Serapho, attack Dimensional Sea Warrior Bedivere! Flame Leon, activate your ability!" His lion roared a ring of fire that Serapho went through as his attack points rose to 3200. "Spiral Blue Flame!" Serapho unleashed the attack and blasted Bedivere with it as Renji's life points dropped to 1900. "One down."
"Really?" Renji said. When the smoke cleared, Bedivere was still there.
"How is it still standing?" Yukin said.
"You attacked the wrong warrior. You should have attacked Agravain." Renji said with Yukin looking at it. "Agravain's ability prevents other Dimensional monsters from being destroyed as long as he remains on the field. If you would have attacked him instead, you would have dealt more damage and would be able to destroy my other monsters." Yukin growled with annoyance as he thought he had it, but he left it.
"I'll place two cards facedown and end my turn." Yukin said. "Since it's the end, Serapho's attack points return to normal." Serapho's attack points returned to normal. It was back to square one.
"Now what's he going to do?" Zoey said.
"He's got to take Agravain down first if he wants to bring those other warriors down." Soto said. "That's assuming he even gets the chance. He might have more life points, but that might not last after this turn." None of his friends liked seeing this, but all they can do is have faith in Yukin.
"It's my turn!" Renji said as he drew his next card.
"That's right, and because it is, I can activate this!" Yukin said as he played a trap. "It's called Cancelation. If we both happen to have two monsters that are the same attribute, this card drops all your monsters' attack points to zero. Your Percival and my Leon are both fire. That means your monsters are loosing all their attack points!" All three of Renji's warriors lost their power.
"Yes!" Siegrain said as all of his friends loved seeing that. "He just took Renji's monster and used it to his advantage!"
"Let's see him beat that." Nathan said.
"So, you made my warriors powerless." Renji said. "In that case, I'll just return them." Yukin didn't understand what he meant until Renji played a card. "I activate my trap! Go, Returning Home! This card takes all my monsters that came from my extra deck and sends them back." With that, all three of his monsters became beams of light and went back to his deck.
"Rats! I thought I had them!" Yukin said.
"You thought wrong, and since we no longer have the monsters with the same attribute, your trap is destroyed." Renji said as Yukin lost his trap. Renji looked at his hand and saw this as an opportunity. "I must say that you've done well in this duel. That's why I think it's time I tell you the truth."
"Tell me the truth? About what?" Yukin asked.
"As to why we are here." Renji said.
"What?" Yukin said as he thought this sounded interesting. Renji looked towards where his mother was and was disapproving of what she did.
"To be perfectly honest, the chairwoman is my mother, and she saw this as an opportunity." Renji said. "It's true, we have no evidence of what you're being accused of. She honestly couldn't care less about what any of you do. She just saw this as an opportunity to get you, Yukin. To be more specifically, she wants your elemental cards."
"You mean this whole thing was a setup?!" Yukin said as all of them were shocked to hear that.
"That's right. I disapproved, but I knew she would go through it regardless." Renji said. "That's why I followed her here and I'm glad I did. It gave me the chance to see your skills as a duelist with my own eyes. You are quite the duelist. It also gives me the perfect opportunity to try something out." Yukin had a bad feeling about this. "I'll start by summoning Dimensional Nure-Onna!" Renji summoned out a creature with upper body of a blonde woman and the body of a red snake with her having 1200atk points. "I now activate the special ability of Dimensional Sphinx! Since I just normal summoned a Dimensional monster, I can summon this monster to join the battle!" A blue and moving sphinx rose to the field with 2200atk points, but dropped to 1500. "It's original attack points become 1500, but that's just fine."
"Why's that? What are you doing?" Yukin said.
"You're about to see." Renji said as he did the unthinkable. "I now fuse the forces of earth with the forces of darkness!" His claim surprised everyone.
"No! He can't!" Yukin said, but he was. Earth spiraled around his sphinx and darkness spiraled around Nure-Onna. The two came together and formed a new monster. "I elemental summon a steel attribute! Come forth, Dimensional Steel Warrior Lancelot!" Renji summoned out a new monster, a large warrior wearing black menacing-looking armor. It carried a sword with it having 3000atk points.
"He elemental summoned..." Zoey said.
"How?! Yukin's the only one that can do that!" Siegrain said.
"How did you do that?! Where did you get that card?!" Yukin called as he demanded to know.
"That's the least of your worries. Lancelot, attack Flame Leon!" Renji ordered. "Attack with Black Steel Slay!" His warrior used it's sword and was about to attack.
'I can't lose Leon.' Yukin thought as he acted fast. "I activate Defensive Stance! This trap switches the monster you're attacking into defense mode and it can't be destroyed!" His lion switched to defense mode with it having 800def points.
"It won't help." Renji said. The attack still went through as his warrior hit a barrier. Yukin was blown back from the impact as his life points dropped to 700. He grabbed the edge of the building to prevent him from falling, but all his friends were getting scared.
'How can this be happening? How did he elemental summon?' Yukin thought as he couldn't believe this. The tables have turned on him. 'I can't lose this. I need answers.' Yukin pulled himself up and got back in this duel.
"Still in this?" Renji said.
"You know it! I'm not walking away that easily!" Yukin shouted. "Tell me how you got that card!"
"I'll tell you, but only after we're done. I'm actually enjoying myself. It's been a long time since someone put up this much of a duel against me." Renji said.
"Fine!" Yukin said as he drew his next card and was glad with what he got. 'Yes. Delta Winds. I have to discard a card to activate this. Luckily, I have one.' He looked at the only card in his hand: Beast Tri-Cycle. 'I have to end this duel now. If I use the same combo as last time, I can take out his warrior. Then, I can use Delta Winds to allow Sapphire Serapho to attack again. With nothing left on the field, I'll win.' "Here we go! I use my python's ability to give Sapphire Serapho extra power!" His snake gave Serapho power and it rose to 2700. "Flame Leon, it's your turn!" His lion released another ring of fire and Serapho went through it with his power rising to 3200.
"Yes! Serapho is stronger!" Zoey said.
"Let's hope he can take it out." Nathan said. Things have been tense, but Yukin might have a clear shot.
"Sapphire Serapho, attack with Spiral Blue Flame!" Yukin ordered. Serapho unleashed the attack and blasted Lancelot as an explosion went off and Renji's life points dropped to 1500. Yukin thought he had it, but he was surprised to see that Lancelot survived. "What happened?!"
"It's another ability of Lancelot. Once a turn, he can't be destroyed in battle." Renji said. "There's more. If you do manage to deal damage to me, his attack points go up by the damage I took." Lancelot's attack points went up to 3400.
'No! If he's stronger, activating Delta Winds would be pointless.' Yukin thought as he didn't see a way out of this. 'There's nothing more I can do. One attack and it's all over.'
"It seems like we've reached the end of your turn." Renji said as the situation seemed hopless. Just then, static was coming from Lancelot and Renji's duel disk.
"What's happening?" Yukin said. An error message was appearing on Renji's duel disk and his card was ejected off his duel disk. That means Lancelot is no longer on the field. "What just happened?"
"I thought this prototype was up for the task, but it seems there's still a few bugs that need to be worked out." Renji said. "No matter. I still plan on finishing this duel."
"Renji, just end this already." Miss Abarin said. Just then, her phone was going off. She stepped to the side and answered. "What is it?" The news she heard was a shocker.
"Here goes." Renji said as he was about to draw.
"Renji!" Miss Abarin called as his duel disk was used as video message. "Stop the duel. We have a situation." She told him what she heard. When he heard it himself, he made his way down and was leaving.
"Wait. Where are you going?" Yukin said.
"This duel is over. We'll finish it another time. I have something urgent to take care of." Renji said as he left.
"Renji Abarin..." Yukin said. Yukin's never faced a duelist like him before. He can elemental summon like Yukin too. Yukin was lucky this time, but what's Yukin going to do after this?
