"Morning babe" Meredith greeted cheerfully bouncing into the room and kissing Mark on the cheek

"I made you breakfast" Mark said gesturing towards the plate next to him.

"Thanks" Meredith said snatching a piece of toast off of Marks plate.

"Why take mines when you have your own" Mark asked amused

"Because yours tastes better" Meredith replied now eating her own food.

"You know if you keep stealing my food, I'll steal your car keys and leave you" Mark said grinning

"You wouldn't dare" Meredith said with a grin mirroring Mark's.

"I think she's losing it" Alex whispered to George, Meredith, and Cristina as he pulled his scrubs over his head.

"You know she almost battered a 9-million-dollar check" George added

"With that kind of money" Cristina said wistfully "I'd buy a hospital and stuff it full of sick people"

Meredith snickered. "You know you're sick like you're a psycho." Alex said leaning in.

"Stop talking about me" Izzie said from the other side of the door "I'm fine. Meredith and Alex are the one with problems"'

"What" Meredith and Alex said at the same time.

"What did I do" Meredith asked with a puzzled look on her face.

"Yeah, what did we do" Alex added

"You" Izzie wheeled to face the group "Are constantly sleeping with a different woman every night. And you Mer you sleep with attending after attending no matter how bad it makes your life"
"Izzie why don't you mind your own business. I'm sorry Denny died and you're feeling bad, but I didn't do anything to you." Meredith said slightly irritated.

"Izzie don't you have a life or are you going to find a new patient to screw" Alex said as he finished dressing and walking out of the room with Meredith and Cristina following.

"Not cool Iz." George muttered before following the others.

"Do you know where Dr. Montgomery-Shepherd is" Meredith said leaning over the nurse's station.

"Actually, it's just Dr. Montgomery" Addison said blandly as she handed Meredith the chart.

"Oh, um well" Meredith said shifting uncomfortably.

"Any who Dr.Grey we have a case it's...interesting" Addison said waking away and motioning for Meredith to follow.

"Shepherd" Mark nodded at man as he got his coffee

"Sloan" Derek said clenching his jaw.

"I heard the divorce got finalized" Mark said taking a sip of his coffee

"Yes" Derek said curtly

"What did you get" Mark said attempting to build up their friendship

"Nothing just Seattle because it was my fault, we got divorced all she did was slip up once, so I'm going to accept blame" Derek said lamely

"Oh- um I have to go" Mark said leaving a confused Derek.

"Addison can I speak to you" Mark said before grabbing the woman's arm. "You didn't tell Derek that you stayed with me in New York."

"Thats none of your business" Addison scoffed

"Whatever" Mark said as he turned and walked off to find Meredith.

"Hey Mer" Mark said kissing her on her cheek and sitting next to her.

"What's wrong" Meredith said looking Mark up and down

"How could you tell" Mark chuckled

"I just can. Now what's wrong" Meredith said biting into her sandwich.

"Addison didn't tell Derek she stayed with me" Mark said dropping his sandwich

"Mmmmk" Meredith nodded her head attempting to follow along.

"Derek is taking all the blame for the divorce and he doesn't know about her" Mark added.

"Ok" Meredith nodded "Are you going to tell him "

"Should I" Mark looked up a Meredith searching for the answer in her face.

"I can't tell you that. Do what's right"

"I hate you your no help" Mark said laughing and standing up

"You love me" Meredith called after him.

Derek had just finished his craniotomy and was finishing the chart at the nurse's station when Mark walked up.

"Addison stayed with me in New York after you left" Mark said barely above a whisper.

"What" Derek said turning to face the man "I need you to elaborate"

"When you left Addison stayed with me in New York and then well" Mark was debating whether or not he should tell Derek the last part, but this was his brother and no matter what Derek believed they were family and family doesn't let family get hurt. "Addison got pregnant and then she left and came back to you. Derek the divorce isn't just your fault"

"Thanks" Derek muttered before walking away.

"Did you tell him" Meredith said as she met up with Mark

"Yeah" Mark said wrapping his arm around her

"I'm proud of you" Meredith leaned in to kiss him.
