Chapter fourteen:

With everything set up the group summons the being.

The being appears in a cloud of smoke like white fog and is at first seen as a black towering humanoid figure with glowing red eyes. As the fog clears the being comes into better detail. It has broad shoulders, grey skin, dark spot around its red eyes, a slender yet muscular looking body, a blue robe that changes to purple as it goes down, and a smoky bottom. "Greetings. What may I help you with?"

"My brother has been taken over by a Specter." Hikaru steps forward to explain meeting the eyes of the being when it turns to him. "We need your help to be able to get him back. Can you help us?"

"The Specters huh?" The being nods to this. "I remember them."

"So you can help us?" Hikaru perks up at hearing this. "We need to get rid of them."

"I do say that it is an interesting way that things have developed." The being admits in which Jay tilts his head.

"What do you mean by that?" Jay inquires curiously picking up on the being's almost sad tone.

"Well you see the Specters are my siblings." The being explains causing the host club to have their jaws drop open. "We were once very close. We used to make deals with humans to watch to make their lives interesting. Deals that they'd give something up for something that they want. Then one day things changed…" It sighs and glances away. "It was a tragic day. One of my siblings, Shadow, found that making deals with humans was getting boring. Then one day I found him trying to get a human to agree to give up his body to be possessed. In return for having all that humans dreams to come true. I put myself between Shadow and the human warning Shadow of this behaviour. Shadow got angry at me about it and took off. Our other siblings took the side of Shadow. They went around twisting humans thoughts until they believed what was being said to them. Then they'd get them to be their hosts. I did my best though the darkness and misery took hold of the humans. I was being tossed to the side as my siblings gained more and more dark power. A dark power we had tried to avoid for so long. So I left the land and got more power by making deals where they weren't. Once I was powerful enough I helped in locking them away. I had suspected that they would resurface though I never thought that it would be this way."

"If you locked them away once then you can do it again." Hikaru looks upon the being in hope. "I have to save my brother before something happens that he will regret. Even though it isn't actually him doing these things. How can we stop things from going too far?"

"How long have they been out and about?"

"Awhile." Hikaru admits shifting as he worries that maybe the Specters have gathered too much power that they can't be stopped.

The being sighs heavily. "It is possible that they have a lot of power now. I will need to make more than one deal in order to even have a chance against them. If I don't gather enough magic from any sort of deals then they could overpower me."

"I am willing to make a deal." Hikaru explains to the being turning back to it. "What kind of deal do you need?"

"Well then you can be the first deal." The being nods its head to the ginger haired male. It focuses on the other trying to judge what is Hikaru's strongest wish. He tries the second strongest seeing that the first strongest is, as he suspected, is to be able to save his brother. He finds that this wish is to be as successful as his parents want him to be to show them that he can do what is expected of him, plus so that his brother doesn't have to worry about it. "I can give you the ability to be the most successful in your family's fashion industry though you will have to give something up. That is my offer for your deal."

"My offer for what I will give up is one of my most favourite days in my life." Hikaru offers to the being looking at it. "The day that I first tried to follow my brother trying to teach me how to paint."

"That is a very treasured day I can see." The being admits as though able to see the memory offered to it. "Then that day would never have happened. You will never have tried to bond with your brother through trying to create art together. You'll only have seen his art. It will take away part of your relationship with him."

"I am fine with that." Hikaru tells the being with seriousness in his gaze and voice. "I would rather give up that memory, that day, for the sake of saving my brother."

At this the being nods and waves a hand in front of the other in which a mist comes from Hikarus head, and swirls around the beings hand. It clenches its hand as if absorbing it then opens its hand showing nothing left. "It is done." It tells them as Hikaru blinks slightly dazed from the memory being wiped away. "That day never occurred." It turns to the others.

Briar wheels herself forward and looks to the being that turns to her. "Do you mind if I go next? I know what I want."

The being can quickly pick up on Briar's wish. "That is a strong wish." It mentions in which she nods.

"We've talked about adopting but I always thought that it'd be nice if we could have our own child." Briar admits to the being as it listens to her explain things. "I will give up my ability to walk in return to be able to have children with the love of my life. Jay."

Jay comes over to stand by Briar in which she turns to him. "I think that starting a family would be wonderful." He agrees only to turn to where he is sure his love is. "Are you sure about giving up the ability to walk at all for it though?"

Briar nods before responding verbally knowing that Jay cannot see her nod her head. "Yes. I love you Jay and I want this with you. No walking is worth it to give up for it."

"Alright." Jay decides that she can do that then. He steps away to let the being do what it needs to do.

The being snaps its fingers and Briar shivers as it feels like a bolt of electricity going down her spine to her legs that go completely numb.

She then feels a warmth in her lower stomach before that fades away.

"It is done." The being mentions as Briar no longer feels anything else happening. "You can now conceive children, though your legs are now completely useless."

"Thank you." Briar can't help tears coming to her eyes as she is truly happy that she can have kids finally.

Jay moves forward again and reaches to try to touch his love then links their hands when she reaches back to him. "You'll make an amazing mother." He tells her as the two of them share a smile. He turns to where he had heard the being last. "I want my sister to be here when we have children." He admits to the being. "I was close to both of my siblings growing up. It was hard for me and my brother to lose our sister when she went missing. Can you save her from wherever she is? Let her be able to come home?"

The being makes a sound of confirmation. "I can help you with that." It tells Jay who is glad to hear it.

"In return for this I offer you the memories of my past life that I saw when me and Briar were messing around with magic." Jay tells the being. "The memory of how my past life being helped start a city and the memories of the love of my past life."

"Are you sure?" Briar turns to Jay at hearing this offer. "I know that you took so much pride from that knowledge of what you did in your past life. We won't be able to tell our children that story because you won't remember anymore."

"It is fine." Jay informs her with a smile coming to his face. "I'll have you. My past life memories can go. They aren't as important as you are to me. This is my choice of what to give up and nothing will stop me or change my mind."

Briar can't help herself as she smiles at this. "Okay." She agrees to this.

The being does what it did to take Hikaru's memories leaving Jay dazed for a moment or two. It turns to the others. "Who wants to be next?"
