Kagome arrived in Professor McGonagall's office, where the Professor was waiting for her, "You're right on time, Miss. Black. Let me escort you to Gryffindor Tower."

"Thank you, Professor," Kagome said.

Professor McGonagall nods, and they head out of her office. When they arrive, Kagome gives the Fat Lady the password; she thanked the professor, "Don't forget, Miss. Black that you have detention with me tomorrow night after dinner."

"Yes, Professor," Kagome said, went into the Gryffindor Common Room, where Fred, George, Lee, and the girls were waiting for her.

"How was your weekend, Kagome," Angelina asked.

"It was good; I had a lot of fun with Sirius and Remus."

"We're glad to hear that, Kagome. Some people were asking about you, and we told them that you went to visit your grandparents for the weekend." Alicia informed her.

"Thanks for covering for me; I appreciate that."

"You're welcome, Kagome." The girls say.

After that, the girls say goodnight to their boyfriends and head upstairs to go to sleep. When they get to their dormitory, the girls notice that Kagome seems a little down. They look at each other and wonder what's wrong. Angelina decided to ask Kagome when she comes out of the bathroom.

"Kagome, did something happen at your dad's house? You look a little upset," Angelina asked.

"Am I that obvious?"

"No, but you're not your bubbly self," Patricia said.

Kagome sighed and sat down on her bed, "You don't have to tell us if you don't want to, Kagome," Alicia said to her new friend.

"No, it's alright. I don't mind telling you, only you can't tell anyone."

"We promise we won't tell a soul," The girls' comment.

Kagome took a deep breath and let it out slowly, "I found out that someone I care about very much is in love with someone."

"And it's not you," Angelina said.

"No, it isn't."

"How did you find out," Patricia asked.

"My cousin came and asked me if I knew who he was in love with; I told her I had no idea."

"But that doesn't make it true, Kagome. What if he was only saying that to get your cousin off his back," Angelina said.

Kagome shrugged, "Maybe, Tonks is a little forceful."

"And from what I've heard a little on the annoying side," Alicia tells her, "So don't give up hope just yet."

"Yeah, you never know, maybe he's in love with you," Patricia says with a giggle.

Kagome's eyes light up, "Yeah, maybe he is, thanks, you guys."

"Anytime, Kagome. Now, let's get some sleep; we have classes tomorrow."

Everyone agreed, then head to bed. The next morning Kagome and her friends went down to breakfast. As usual, the boys waited for their girlfriends in the common room, and together, they went to the great hall. The seventh-year students sat together and have their breakfast. Hermione saw Kagome and smiled at her, "Kagome, did you have a nice weekend? How are your grandparents?"

"I had a very nice weekend. Hermione, thank you for asking. My grandparents are doing well."

"That's good to hear."

Harry looked up from his breakfast as he heard Hermione and Kagome discussing their classes and decided to ignore them. He wasn't in the least bit interested in anything the girls were talking about. Harry was upset that Kagome visited her grandparents, and he wasn't allowed to see Sirius. Harry didn't think it was fair considering that Kagome barely started school there.

Kagome tried to engage Harry in conversation, but he only gave her gruff, clipped responses. Kagome frowned when she noticed that Harry wouldn't engage her in conversation. She desperately wanted to get along with the boy that meant so much to her father, but Harry made it complicated. After a while, Kagome gave up and continued with her breakfast and talked to Ginny and Hermione, asking them how their weekend was.

After breakfast, everyone went their seperate ways to their classes. The day went as smoothly as could be expected, considering that Kagome had potions that morning, and as usual, Snape was an ass towards her and the other Gryffindors. At lunch, Kagome noticed that Harry kept rubbing his hand and would grimace in pain. She wondered what had happened to him. When Kagome asked Harry what was wrong with his wrist, he put his hand under the table, "Nothing, don't worry about it," He told her.

Kagome frowned, she could sense the dark magic coming from whatever injury Harry had on his wrist, and she wished that Harry would let her treat him; but she knew that he wouldn't, that whatever resentment Harry had towards her ran deep enough that he would never accept her help. So, she tried to ignore it and started talking to Hermione and the others about how their weekend was.

When breakfast ended, Kagome and the others went back to Gryffindor tower to gather their bags and go to class. Patricia and Kagome headed to potions class, much to Kagome's dread. They sat together at the lab table and waited for everyone else to arrive. A little while later, Professor Snape came into the classroom and told them that they would be brewing potions for Madam Pomfrey. He gave them a list of what to do, and the class got started. For the next two hours, the classroom was silent; the only thing that could be heard was the bubbling of cauldrons. At the end of class, Kagome and Patricia turned in their potions and left class. They knew they weren't going to be graded fairly, but there was nothing that the girls could do about it.

After Potions, the girls met up with the others and headed to double Transfigurations. Once class was over, the group of Gryffindor's went to the Great Hall for lunch. As they neared the hall, they noticed that Harry, Hermione, and Ron were also entering. Kagome said hello to the group, but only Hermione responded. Kagome sighed, not being greeted by her father's godson.

Fred and George looked at each other, "Wonder what that's about?"

"I don't know, I know Ron doesn't like me, but I didn't think that Harry felt the same way," Kagome said.

"Maybe he didn't hear you, or he has a lot on his mind," Angelina said.

"Maybe. Well, anyway, let's get something to eat."

The group entered the Great Hall and sat down close to Harry and the others. Harry looked up when he noticed that Kagome had sat down across from him but didn't say anything to her. Hermione looked at her best friend and then at Kagome and gave her an apologizing look.

Kagome smiled sadly, she was hoping that she and Harry could get along, but it didn't look like it. She had the feeling that Harry was jealous of her because he now had to share Sirius's affection. Kagome hoped that Harry realized that just because Kagome was Sirius's biological daughter didn't mean he would love him less.

Kagome sighed and served herself some food, and began talking to her friends. After lunch, Kagome decided to talk with Professor Dumbledore and let him know about Firenze being her Divinations Professor. She got to the Stone Gargoyle and told it the password, and it lept out of the way. Kagome made her way towards Dumbledore's office. When Kagome arrived at the top of the stairs, she knocked on the door, and Professor Dumbledore invited her in.

"Kagome, what a pleasant surprise. How can I help you, my dear?"

"Well, Professor, I wanted to let you know that I have a new Divination teacher," Kagome said as she sat down across Dumbledore.

Albus raised his eyebrow, "Oh? And who will be instructing you?"

"The Centaur, Firenze. He offered to be my teacher, and I accepted."

Dumbledore templed his fingers and thought for a moment, "That is acceptable, Kagome. Perhaps I can offer Firenze a place with the faculty and make him an official professor."

"I suppose you could ask him. Or if you like, I could ask him for you."

"No, my dear, I'll do it. Now is there anything else you'd like to talk about?"

"Um, yes, there is. I don't suppose that you could let Harry go home to see Sirius once in a while?"

"Why?"

"I get the feeling that he misses my father very much, and if he finds out that I'm allowed to visit him, he's going to hate me more than he already does."

Kagome's comment surprised Albus, "Harry hates you?"

"Maybe hate is too strong a word, but he is jealous of me. And I can understand why."

"Why do you think he's jealous?"

"Harry thinks that because I'm Sirius's daughter, he's not going to love him anymore, and that's not true. I think Harry needs to be reassured that his godfather will always be there for him."

Albus thought for a moment, "Let me talk with Professor McGonagall and find out what she thinks. I'll let you know our decision. Is there anything else?"

"Well, I was wondering if I could go back home after the full moon. I want to heal Remus from any injuries that he receives. I promise I'll only be there for a few hours then return."

"That's acceptable, Kagome. I won't want Remus to suffer if he doesn't have to."

Kagome beamed at Professor Dumbledore and thanked him. With that, she stood up and left. She needed to talk to Professor McGonagall about taking adding some other classes.

Once Kagome left Dumbledore's office, she went and spoke with Professor McGonagall about adding a few more classes, then left to catch up with the others for Herbology and Charms. Once Kagome left McGonagall's office Professor Dumbledore called her to his office to discuss whether or not they should allow Harry to see Sirius as well.

"I don't see the harm, Albus, but perhaps he should only go once a month for his safety."

"I would have to agree with you, Minerva. We can't take the chance of Voldemort finding out that Harry is leaving the school. I think he should go this weekend."

"I agree. I shall inform Mr. Potter," Professor McGonagall said.

With that, Professor McGonagall left and had a message sent to Harry to meet her in her office. A few minutes later, Harry arrived, "You wanted to see me, Professor?"

"Yes, Mr. Potter. I wanted to let you know that Professor Dumbledore and I have decided that you shall be allowed to visit Sirius one weekend a month."

Harry's eyes widen, "Really?"

"Yes, it's only fair since Kagome also gets to visit him."

Harry scowled, "She does?"

"Yes."

Harry clenched his fists until his knuckles were white. So, if it hadn't been for Kagome, he wouldn't have been allowed. What made her so special? Harry didn't understand, but it bothered him. After McGonagall told him that he would visit Sirius, he went back to Gryffindor Tower to let Hermione and Ron know that he would be going to Grimmauld Place that weekend.

While that was going on, Professor Dumbledore was coming back from talking with Firenze and offering him a professor position. But Firenze had declined. He said that the stars were not right yet, "I need to teach the Priestess and only her for now. Perhaps in the future," The Centaur told the professor. Professor Dumbledore nodded and accepted his answer.

When Harry got back to Gryffindor Tower, he found Hermione and Ron by the fire. Hermione was reading, and Ron was eating a sugar quill. Harry plopped down next to Hermione and sighed. Hermione looked up from her book, "Are you okay, Harry?"

"Yeah, McGonagall just told me that I'd be allowed to go to Grimmauld Place one weekend a month to spend time with Sirius."

"That's great, mate!" Ron said from his position on the floor.

Hermione studied Harry, "Why don't you seem happy?"

"They're only letting me go because Kagome's going too."

Ron suddenly sat up, "Why does she get to go to Grimmauld Place?"

"Because, Ronald, Kagome is going to visit her father. And keep your voice down," Hermione said, "I don't see the problem, Harry. What does it matter that Kagome gets to visit Sirius as well?"

"It doesn't."

Hermione stared at her best friend for a moment, her eyes widened when she realized that Harry was jealous of Kagome, but she decided that she wasn't going to say anything. It was only going to fuel his hatred of Kagome, "When are you going to see Sirius," Hermione asked.

Harry brightened, "This weekend. I leave on Friday."

"Oh, but Friday's the full moon," Hermione reminded Harry.

"Oh, that's right. Sirius is going to be with Remus. Well, at least I can have dinner with him before he goes down to the basement to be with Moony."

"What are you going to do about the scars, Harry? You know Sirius is going to be angry when he sees what Umbridge did to you."

Harry unconsciously rubbed his wounded hand, "I'm going to have to hide it; that's all." Hermione wasn't going to suggest to Harry that he let Kagome heal it; she didn't want Harry to get angry again.

After that, the trio went to the great hall to have dinner. Kagome and the others came in and sat down close to Harry and the others. As usual, Kagome greeted Harry, and he barely acknowledged her presence. She sighed sadly and served her dinner. Once she finished her meal, she reported to Professor McGonagall for detention.

When Kagome returned to Gryffindor Tower, she saw that Harry was sitting by the fire, alone. Kagome decided that she would try to talk to him and see if she can fix whatever resentment he felt towards her. When Harry heard the portrait hole open and saw that Kagome was, he stood up to leave.

"Harry, may I talk to you?"

"It's kind of late, Kagome. Can this wait until tomorrow?"

"No, it can't. Harry, I don't understand why you don't like me. What have I done for you to hate me?"

"I don't hate you, Kagome."

"But you don't like me, do you."

"I never said that."

"You don't have to; it obvious by the way you treat me."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"I think you do, but if you don't want to talk about it right now, that's fine. But I do have to insist on something."

"And what's that?"

Kagome walked towards Harry and quickly snatched his hand. Harry tried to pull away, but Kagome had his hand in an iron grip, "What are you doing, Kagome? Let me go!"

"You have a cursed injury, and I'm not going to let you suffer from that pain. So stop squirming and let me heal it."

Kagome moved Harry's sleeve up and saw the scar written on his flesh; I MUST NOT TELL LIES. Kagome was horrified, but she knew that she could quickly heal it. She brought her spiritual powers in her hands and cupped his hand. Kagome pushed her powers into his hand and started healing the wound.

Harry started to feel a warm feeling radiating from Kagome's hand into his hand. He looked down and was surprised to see the words begin to heal. A few seconds later, the hateful words vanished. Harry looked at Kagome in shock, "Why did you do that?"

"You may not like me, Harry, but I care for you and I don't want you to suffer. You don't deserve to have someone use a blood quill on you. And I swear when I find out who did, they're going to pay for it," Kagome said, looking directly into Harry's green eyes.

"I'm going to bed, have a nice time with Sirius, Harry."

With that, Kagome stood and made her way to her dorm room. Harry sat there by the fire and watched Kagome make her way upstairs. Maybe he was wrong about her. He was so confused.
