Walking Venus to school the next day, Basil explained everything that he had been told. He was still in shock at what he had learned and now Venus was as well.

"So, this Blompkins guy was forcing students to make clogs?" Venus inquired, running a hand through her red hair as she went over this with her boyfriend.

"Apparently so." Basil confirmed. There was better footwear than clogs. He could not believe anyone would be that obsessed over them.

"Clogs?" Venus asked again. She could not believe this.

"Aye, Venus. Clogs."

Venus looked flabbergasted. Why would anyone wear clogs? Why would anyone be obsessed with them?

"Was the guy insane?" The only reason Venus could see for someone to be so obsessed was for the individual to be insane.

"I would say so." Basil answered.

"Well, at least he is gone." Venus commented. "Do you know who the new principal is going to be?"

"No one has the foggiest." Basil replied. That was the truth. No one knew who the new principal would be. There was no principal, there was no vice principal. A. Nigma was not in a good place at the moment.

"And you have school today despite you have no principal?"

Basil stopped in his tracks and raised his brow as he thought for a moment. Was there a requirement for there to be a principal in order for a school to be open? Ultimately, Basil answered: "I… don't know? I will go to school just in case. If there is no one there by 8:45, I'll just go home."
