By the time word reached the ears of Gerudo guards and Hylian soldiers in Gerudo Desert, who were guarding the Divine Beast Vah Naboris, that Akkala Citadel had fallen and Demise's forces were on the attack invading Hyrule, fear had already creeped over the area.

The reason?

Hinoxes, Lynels and corrupted Guardian Robots were heading their way, lead by Gold Taluses, Moblins and Demise clones covered in purple and gooey malice, smoking darkness, accompanied by fifteen to twenty Dark Ghirahim clones.

"These guys are scary!" A soldier exclaimed, "Pure nightmare fuel, I hope after we survive I get some magic brain bleach and erase the memories of those things."

Another soldier laughed as he drew his sword and shield, "HA! To be technical, Steve, I'd just modify my memory so I wouldn't remember a lot of certain things."

The soldier named Steve chuckled fearfully, "I like that idea very much, Jeff. Memory modification, maybe it happens in the after-life ocassionally if requested."

"Hey, voe!" A Gerudo warrior yelled, "Less yaking, more fighting the oncoming storm!"

The whole mountain top turned into a war zone full of chaos and destruction in seconds, monsters struck down Hylians and Gerudo.

Guardians were blasting Guardians and both Demise and Ghirahim clones were treating the Hylians and Gerudo like cattle for the sloughterhouse, decimating them as blood and guts spilled everywhere, what was left of the defenders were squashed or torn apart.

Soon, only Naboris remained, piloted by Gerudo spirits. The corrupted Guardians, red lights flashing and lazers charging, swarmed the huge camel robot, assisted by the Taluses and towering Dark Demise clones.

The great Sheikah robot let out a groan and the Gerudo spirit pilots shrieked as the monsters finally began to overpower the machine, the legs crumbled, the walls exploded thanks to lazer fire and Val Naboris, the once mighty Divine Beast, crumbled, destroyed.

One Mechanical Giant down and three more left, Hyrule was being destroyed.

The night lit up with explosions as Demise's forces began attacking the Gerudo settlements and ruins, forcing Gerudo to retreat to Hyrule along with their Hylian Army allies sent to protect and/or help aid and defend them.

The unlucky Gerudo soldiers who couldn't keep up with their comrades, those who weren't fast enough, could only scream as the Talus monsters squashed them beneath their feet and as many were struck down by Shiekah Robot lazers.

Meanwhile, as the Gerudo Desert was burned to glass and decimated, the Zoras and Hylians were desperate to defend Val Ruta and their fort, holding desperately against scores of Yiga, Lizalfos, Lynels, Skywatchers, Blue Hinoxes and super-empowered giant Stalfos versions of said Hinoxes, Bokoblins and Moblins.

Zora's Domain was already ablaze as Guardians burned the Zora's home, even destroying the throne room. The Bokoblins n' Lizalfos, taking part, took great pleasure in terrorizing civillians or taking out Zora warriors.

Smoke filled the malice-filled air and blood-red sky, adding to the horrific clouds above. Even as monsters suffered many casualties, more dropped in from the sky or fallen ones were ressurected by the Blood Moon like powers.

Scores of Keese Bats were joining in, dive bombing Hylian soldiers and distracting them long enough to get mauled by Spike-club Bokoblins. Blood tainted the grass along with corpses and fires raged, Demise's minions showed no mercy, no taking prisoners.

Zora spirits rushed to the Hylians' aid too late, they were snuffed out by the monsters who could sense them. One Zora warrior, Rayadon, the brother of Sidon, screamed as a Guardian blasted his arm off before a lazer lanced through his heart.

Prince Sidon, who'd managed to get to a safer distance by the time the carnage had begun, watched from afar in horror as the enemy forces decimated Zora's Domain and as it all burned down, the water was now boiling hot thanks to the raging fires and lazer blasts.

"My home!" He moaned, "My family legacy and so many of my friends, being destroyed. I just hope we can defeat the bad guys and get to rebuilding. This is going to be the hardest task of all, getting further to safety."

As the leader of the Link Fan Club made his retreat, getting past the Guardian robots in the area as well as the monsters close by, the last of the Zora's Domain defenders fell and the monsters and rogue robots began swarming Val Ruta.

Inside Val Ruta, at the control console, Tuna the Zora Ghost let out a shriek of horror as Bokoblins and Guardians crawled inside and began wrecking havok.

Knowing full well about what was going to happen next and that the fight was lost, Tuna made his retreat, vanishing into thin air and heading off to the sky in retreat to be with his fellow Zora spirits who'd moved onward in the next realm.

Just like with the Naboris, Val Ruta groaned as it collapsed and crumbled apart.

With the big one down, the Guardians lit the remains ablaze with lazer fire and, thus, ashes to ashes and dust to dust, two Divine Beasts were down and two remained. Was there any hope for Hyrule left to save the day in time...?

Meanwhile, the Gorons were having so much hardship and trouble as the Zora, Hylians and Gerudo defending their home. Demise's forces had been steamrolling on through for minutes and had shown no signs of letting up, Goron city's defenses had been smashed.

The mines had been conquered and the lava dams had been so badly damaged, lava was flooding and melting away the Goron homes left standing until all that remained was the Goron defenders, heat-resistant Hylian soldiers and Divine Beast Val Daruna.

Atop the peak of the steaming volcano, watching as hundreds of corrupted land-based and airborne Sheikah robots, Lava Hinoxes and flying Moblins advanced towards their target, Val Daruna.

Hylians were shaking in their boots and Gorons stood, completely terrified with shaking bodies and eyes wide with fear.

The only one who did not seem afraid was Chief Stones, whose eye color had started shifting between normal blue to black and red for some reason, probably due to his own anger towards the enemy ruining his own home.

"Th-th-these guys there are just b-b-bad!" A Goron warrior stammered.

"Bad to the bone!" Another sang, trying to brighten up his own spirit.

"Chill out, now!" Chief Stone shouted, trying to sound tough and intimidating instead of letting fear overcome him, "We must show that oncoming storm of darkness that we will not be broken, we will not run and we will never, ever give up."

"Did you even hear the news about Akkala's Fall, Chief?" Hylian Guard Nick asked, "Sounded like terrible carnage and I'm having an ominous feeling that…"

He stopped short with the enemy advancing closer and closer, "DARK FORCES INCOMING AT EIGHT O CLOCK!" Goron defense systems immedietly activated and both Gorons and Hylians readied their weapons for battle, bows in hand and swords drawn.

But despite their attempted resistance, the tide of the fight was already in favor of the enemy. The Hyrulean forces did not stand a chance, many were decimated without mercy by the enemy while a handful were forced to retreat towards Central Hyrule.

It was tough getting past the lava streams covering the area now, but at least they managed to make it off the mountain. Guardian Stalkers and Skywatchers began bombing the top of the volcano, even attacking as the Divine Beast Daruna with lazer fire.

The big monsters joining in by firing heat-proof bomb arrows, which did not explode when exposed to volcanic heat and only exploded upon hitting the target.

Daruna desperately tried to defend itself with lazer strikes and desperate attempts to blast the intruders off the volcano with volcanic erruptions, but to no avail and the giant was quickly overpowered and sadly destroyed, its remains melting in the lava...

At the exact same time as the fall of Divine Beast Daruna and the decimation of Doom Mountain, the Rito were not doing so well against the oncoming blitzkrieg, bombarding the village with lazer fire and super smashing all the Rito's defenses as well as

The attack was causing avalanches of snow to fall. Medi was shrieking mechanically like mad as Guardian lazers blasted its wings, desperately trying to raise a shield around the Rito town but to no avail.

Rito musician Kass, who'd been playing his accordian peacefully before the attack, took to the air, shrieking in horror and desperate to escape the madness and the chaos taking place around him.

Galian, who'd been directing the village defense and just seen the fight was lost already, took to the air himself and joined Kass on his journey.

"Good to see you flying away with me, Galian." Kass complimented, happy to see his brother Rito. "Thank you, Kass."

Galian said with a smile, "I'm glad to be your friend and fellow Rito, you play accordians well."

"Where shall we go?"

"To Central Hyrule, where a last stand will be made."

"Ah, yes. Hyrule is falling, but there is a shining ray of hope upon the very area where Calamity Ganon fell and the knight and his princess stood as heroes."

"Very poetic, Kass."

"Thank you, Galian!"

As the two friends made their escape and hundreds of survivors made their retreat from the now decimated Rito Village, the corrupted Guardians and the servants of Demise were successful in finally falling the bird-like Divine Beast Medi.

The giant robotic creation of the Shiekah wailed and screamed in agony as the flames and lazer blasts engulfed and melted its hide, the wings crumbling and its whole body falling to pieces along with the rock above the village it stood on.

All the Divine Beasts had been destroyed, beyond all hope of rebuilding. The four tools essential to defeating Calamity Ganon prior were all gone, the Guardian robots lost for good as well, corrupted or destroyed.

For those who'd lost their lives in the ruins of their homes in the Rito, Zora, Gerudo and Goron areas, it was over and there was no hope or bright future for Hyrule, even if there was a last minute miracle and things got better before they got worse.
