Chapter 34
"So how long do you think it will take for us to find the ship my mother took?" Tarden asked Fen, the Genius Llab simply hummed at the question before finally speaking up after he got the pod running.
"They shouldn't be too far, last I checked the ship was by a planet in another solar system, but if I were to guess probably a few hours, to half a day. More importantly champ, make sure you activate this drone when you get there. The footage should be beneficial and help with the development of commercial space flight, Don't worry about what it will record I will be able to pilot it from here." Fen handed Tarden a small meal ball roughly the size of a baseball.
Tarden nodded and turned to Xiox a few steps away where the Grand Elder was talking to his sister Ginny, walking up to them Tarden casually tossed the drone towards Ginny who fumbled the orb for a bit before gaining control of the metal ball. "So any ideas what we should do if we encounter Cooler?" Tarden said knowing there could be a chance they run into the ruler of the Frost demon empire that was started by King Cold.
"Your mother and Turles where very adamant that Cooler is much stronger than any opponent we have ever faced, I doubt I will be able to cause much damage in terms of conventional combat." Xiox said as he turned towards Ginny, "That goes for you as well. We won't know what we will encounter, our best bet is to secure Yami and Turles, then come up for a way to defeat cooler. As much as I hate to say it you Saiyans will be the only ones able to Give the man trouble, Ginny and I will have to stand by and give support." Xiox said as the two youngsters before him nodded, reminding Xiox that the two before him where barely teens. 'If push comes to shove I will sacrifice myself before these two get hurt."
"Worst case is both Yami and Turles are injured before we arrive. If that were to happen, Tarden, the moment we land you must have spirit armor on just in case and engage cooler you must hold him off long enough for Ginny and I to recover Yami and Turles. If you feel The amour begin to fade, you must hit him with Judgment call. The attack will either wound him or kill him, but most likely it will wound him if he is strong enough to defeat Yami and Turles. If that becomes reality, we will have to heal Yami and Turles quickly and hope the three of you combined will overwhelm him." Tarden nodded his eyes were sharp, you would think they would belong to an experienced veteran than a boy of only 13 years old. Even Ginny who had a brief look of worry steeled her nerves looking focused.
"If Judgment call won't finish him, I will have to try that." Tarden said as Ginny looked confused and Xiox eyes widened, "You mean you managed to master the Spirit Purge!" 'That would mean he mastered two techniques that where still experimental!' Xiox said surprised.
Tarden smiled and threw a hand over his own shoulders as he scratched the back of his head and smiled, "Nope, not at all but I'm close." His response made Xiox flinch as he clutched his fist in annoyance, 'I remember why I hated him sometimes, arrogant brat.' Xiox thought.
"Don't waste time on an imperfect technique you'll just waste energy and compromise the plan!" Xiox chastised Tarden. And before they could argue more Fen popped up and shouted at them he was finished.
"Hey, save that energy for the bad guy, the ship is ready all you have to do is push the green button and it will track down the ship it came from, now get out of here your wasting time!" Tarden was the first in the ship as Xiox shook his head before getting in with Ginny. The Pod was made for a minimum of two people but luckily two of the passengers are not adult sized and the three fit in just fine. Once secured Fen opened the warehouse sun door he made and Tarden pushed the green button. Sure enough the ship took off in astounding speed looking to reunite with its mother ship.
With Yami
Yami and Turles where on the unsettled planet, the soil has turned reddish orange due to the high iron oxide concentration, the planet was an abandoned Metal mine used to feed Coolers war machine, the metals being used to create his ships and being key components in armor and weaponry. The planet was generally stripped to 50 percent of its worth before being abandoned as Cooler planned to dump the remains of broken ships and such onto the small red planet officially turning the planet into a junk yard as the Mountains in the distance where shades of gray, being actual piles of ship wreckage.
Yami and Turles sat on top of what looked to be a busted ship as they waited for the arrival of their target, today was the day that Cooler should arrive and both Saiyans had their senses on high alert trying to sense the arrival of the Emperor. The adrenaline running through their veins was making them pace and or bounce a leg in anticipation. The day has started not that long ago, but the Saiyans were ready and then it happened. A Large energy spike came close to the planet and both Saiyans looked towards the sky, unable to see the ship but knowing that the ship brought out their opponent.
"It's about time, any plans to how we should engage?" Turles asked as Yami smirked, her body trembled with anticipation as she looked a Turles.
"Yeah, punch him in the mouth!" Turles laughed at her answer as he watched her knowing that any form of doubt and fear has left her as she finally got ready, she was practically bouncing on her feet now a clear sign that she was excited. 'the last time I saw her that excited for a fight was against Vegeta back when we were all kids.' Turles thought to himself as he watched having more control of his anticipation. In the next minute the two watched how a ship appeared in the sky before finally locking into their location and landed round a football fields length away. Yami and Turles stood side by side, Yami shaking her arms at her sides as Turles had his crossed over his chest.
The ship's entrance opened and the ramp extended down a few alien grunts carrying rifles ran out and stood at in a parade type stance as their ruler came down the ramp. Each step made Yami twitch, her bodies instincts demanding she fight the monster before her. Cooler stood a scouter on his face as he stood in the form he always was in. A form that Yami found out was something both his brother Frieza and King cold could transform into for more power.
"Leave it to a bunch off savage primates to select a junkyard planet as their tombs." Cooler said taking the scouter off. "Greetings two you my former pets." Cooler said as Yami powered up and flew straight at the man who's family enslaved and killed her people. Yami's punch was so powerful that Cooler was forced to catch the first to block it. The resulting shockwave from her sudden burst of power caused a gust of wind to blow past Cooler and cause his minions to shuffle around less they fall from the sudden gust of wind.
"Oh, I see why Salza couldn't defeat you, this punch was stronger than anything he ever showed me." Cooler said casually as Yami smirked and with a quick rapid combination of punches and kicks Yami was unable to get past Cooler's defense as he blocked each attempt with a single hand. His face wasn't very amused when Yami jumped back as he slowly lowered his hand. "Is this really the power you claim to be super saiyan?"
"No, that's just me saying hello. Now then you might want to actually avoid this because this time I'm for real." Yami said with laughter, meanwhile cooler wasn't impressed and raised a hand to dismiss his minions, the grunts running back to the safety of the ship as the ship flew off to a safe distance.
"Why am I not sur… oof!" Cooler was cut off when Yami Planted a fist right on the Emperors lips, the force of the attack actually sent Cooler flying a bit, when the Alien hit the ground the momentum created a small trench and eventually his body stopped and Cooler got up with an angry look on his face as he spits out a little bit of blood.
Yami stood their shaking her hand from the impact, The Female saiyan smirked triumphantly. "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that last part."
"You insolent Ape!" Cooler said rushing Yami as the Female saying met his rush and grappled against his fists and tried to overpower her opponent but clearly failing as the Angered Alien forced her arms down and glared at her eyes. Yami's eyes widened at the realization that he was still a lot stronger physically, until she smirked. That smirk was the last thing Cooler saw before a foot came from nowhere and planted itself on his eyes.
Turles joined in on the fight as he appeared behind Cooler faster than the Emperor could have predicted and punted the bastards head. Cooler flew into a pile of debris a result and Turles quickly looked at Yami asking a silent question with his eyes.
"It's as I feared, He is definitely stronger than us, we won't be able to take him one on one." Yami said when she felt the power from the brief grappling she had with Cooler. Before Turles could Respond Cooler let loose a cry of frustration as the pile of junk got blown apart by simply raising his own energy. With both hands reached out two lethal beams of Ki flew straight at the Saiyan duo forcing them to dodge. The Attack carving the planet's surface leaving canyons in its wake. Turles was about to make a comment at the attack only to find that Cooler was suddenly in front of him. Turles Raised his arms to block the punch Cooler through at him, sent Turles flying backwards as his arms stung deeply from the attack.
Yami barely had time to react when Cooler appeared onto her now, throwing a few punches that where barely redirected away before he spun and with his tail slapped down the Female saiyan like an insect. "Enough with the warm ups, if you don't fight harder I'll kill you before you even realize your Dead!" Cooler shouted when suddenly both Saiyans where they were knocked down by flew up at him and in synchronized fighting they attacked Cooler head on. They engaged in a stalemate of combinations as their attacks forced Cooler on the defensive.
Yami quickly backed off her pursuit and charged a quick Galick gun nd fired the attack at Cooler while Turles kept him busy, and just when the attack was about to hit Turles jumped out of the way and Cooler quickly reached out with both hands to catch the attack. Being Pushed back a bit he managed to catch the attack and redirect it upwards. Taking a few deep breaths to calm his breathing, 'They fight extremely well together letting them set the pace of the fight like this will become a burden if I'm not careful.' Cooler thought to himself.
Before Cooler could go on the offensive both Yami and Turles appeared at either side of cooler Yami's punch heading straight for his face while Turles was going for a gut punch. Cooler reacted in time by reaching out his arms crossing and catching their punches before they can hit, catching a brief look of surprise on both the Saiyans faces made Cooler smirk as he uncrossed his arms and slammed both of them into each other before flipping forward and letting his foot crash down onto Yami who crashed into Turles again and sent them both flying. 'When was the last time someone other than my brother managed to make me fight seriously.' Cooler thought to himself before Chasing after them.
The Saiyans hit the ground and out of instinct pushed of each other to avoid the crushing kick that Cooler just missed, fracturing the earth beneath his feet and causing a massive crater to form. Dust and dirt kicked up from the impact as both Saiyans turned and fired several basic Ki blasts into the smoke hoping to slow down their target. Instead Turles watched in shock as Cooler tanked through the attacks and rushed him. Turles was able to deflect most of Coolers punches but due to having to avoid the tail Turles was stuck defending less he got caught by fist or a kick.
Sadly, Cooler Found a break in his defense and punched the Saiyan in the face, which was followed up by a few other combinations that Turles barely deflected before the wind escaped his lungs courtesy of Cooler's tail attempting to break his ribs as it coiled around his abdomen. Turles quickly reached into the tail and tried to Pry himself free as Cooler turned in time to block several of Yami's attempts to hurt him. Cooler was caught off guard by the new attack pattern Yami used as an open palm caught him in the chin, before he found Yami placing a round house kick to his gut. The blow force Cooler to release Turles and try to catch his breath, and the moment he started to look up both Yami and Turles flashed him with two powerful Ki blasts that sent him back and the result left Cooler rubbing his eyes as he was temporarily blinded. When Cooler regained his vision the two Saiyans had disappeared.
Looking around Cooler couldn't find a trace of the Saiyans and he smirked, "What's the matter monkeys! Regrouping to discuss strategy! Let me tell you something, no matter what you plan, you lack the power to kill me!" Cooler shouted out taunting the Saiyans who were indeed hiding behind some of the junk piles and wreckage.
"Damn it all, he is stronger than we thought he would be." Turles said angry.
"But not overly so, he still is beatable. We planned for this." Yami said as she saw Turles take a deep breath before sharing a determined look. "Let's begin the next sequence."
"Just make sure you keep him preoccupied it will take me a few second to make it powerful enough to hurt him."
"Ha oh please, I can handle him for more than enough time just make sure you don't miss." With that said Yami jumped out from behind their cover and charged straight to Cooler who turned in time to start trading punches and kicks with the female saiyan.
"Brave of you to fight me head on alone ape." Cooler said when he struck out with his tail planning on slamming the woman down like he had before, but to his slight surprise the Saiyan positioned herself to catch the tail and proceed to swing him around before tossing him into the ground below herself. Cooler managed to flip and contort his body midair so that he landed on his feet, the momentum of his landing shattered the dirt beneath his feet. Cooler raised his arms in time to stop Yami's decent completely as the female saiyan dove straight down towards him planning on tackling him into the dirt. The collision made the dust beneath their feet rise and for a moment Cooler's smug face made Eye contact with the annoyed saiyan, before Yami crashed her forehead into the Emperor's nose.
Cooler lost his grip on Yami from the unexpected blow and Yami quickly followed up with a spinning heel kick which was planted perfectly on Cooler's jaw. The Frost demon flew and Yami pursued her opponent managing to get to him before he was able to recover. Yami smirked when she saw Cooler's surprised expression when she showed off her true speed. Yami quickly threw two punches but Cooler managed to block and parry them away only for her third punch to slip past his defense and bury itself into his face.
Yami stayed flying above as Cooler imprinted into the ground below, she was breathing slightly heavy. Cooler stayed in the ground as he closed his eyes and then slowly got up to his feet dusting himself off while he realized the Saiyan was hiding her true speed from him.
"I must say I never expected someone to move that quickly, I commend you. You are faster than I would have expected, but you won't surprise me with your speed again Saiyan." Cooler Raised his head to look at Yami and his eyes began to glow before firing Ki from his eyes. Yami eyes widened quickly as she never saw cooler use the attack and more importantly realize that the attack was too fast to dodge. Crossing her arms in front of her to brace for the impact an explosion covered. Cooler watched with mild amusement when The saiyan was still intact but now covered in soot and the evidence of damage was made clear from her burned arms. Yami shook from the pain but Overall she was still healthy,
"Impressive you survived my darkness eye beam, I believe you are the first outside my family to be left standing." Cooler praised the hurt Yami before his eyes glowed again and he hit her again consecutively with the attack three more times. The result being Yami's smoking body falling down to the ground beneath her. Clearly wounded the Female saiyan struggled her way to her knees as Cooler walked towards her confidently.
"It's a shame that your super saiyan strength has failed to entertain me. If I where honest I was expecting more of a fight!" Cooler said before suddenly noticing the sensation of a large Ki blast descending on him. Turning around Cooler saw Turles with his arm raised over his head and the largest Mass of Purple Ki he could muster.
"You should really learn to watch your back Cooler!" With that said the ball of energy descended on Cooler and the Emperor quickly turned and caught the blast the attack proving to be extremely heavy even for him. 'Damn even with this much energy he is still able to wrestle with it!' Turles raised his arms to try pushing the attack towards Cooler as the two battle desperate to overcome the other. This went for a few seconds before Cooler started cackle with laughter. Turles watched in horror as Cooler started to slowly overpower him.
"No matter how much time passes I'm still more powerful than any singular Monkey could hope to be!" Cooler shouted in victory when suddenly he heard Yami speak.
"Then it's a good thing there are two of us..." Turles smirked in triumph despite the effort he was putting to push his attack towards Cooler. Meanwhile the Emperor looked over his shoulders to see an Injured Yami chagrining a Galick gun and for the first time Cooler showed actual concern.
"Impossible, you should be to be too wounded to stand!" Coolers voice had a slight tone of concern as Yami smirked.
"He did warn you to watch your back." Yami said as the Ki radiated brilliantly in her hands as she assumed the stance to fire her attack, Cooler watched in fear. "Galick Gun!" The attack hit cooler dead on and the moment he was hit he lost the battle he was waging against Turles as the male saiyan shouted out his attack. "Meteor Bust!" The resulting explosion was so large that it was visible in space and the nearby wreckage was blown away from the shockwave. Both Yami and Turles had to raise an arm to cover their eyes to protect themselves and when the explosion settled the two Saiyans witnessed Cooler still standing but finally injured. Cooler felt to his knees as he was covered in scorch marks.
Yami and Turles took a breath and relaxed a bit before Cooler's body twitched and then the angered Emperor punched the ground so hard both Saiyans flew upwards to avoid the debris that formed around them. They watched in horror as The Emperor powered up and roared in anger. "That hurt, that actually hurt!"
"You got to be kidding me, what is this guy made of!" Turles shouted.
"It doesn't matter, but at least we know… he can bleed." Turles looked at Yami who was looking just as wounded as Cooler, before he sighed and shook his head.
"Your bleeding too you know." Yami smiled and gave Turles a thumbs up,
"That's why you're fighting Cooler head on, try to buy me a few minutes so I can rest." With that said Yami used her speed to disappear from sight as Turles reached out trying to stop her but it was too late. Sure enough Turles was facing down an extremely pissed off Cooler.
"Well shit." Turles said before he made to block cooler's punch.
