I am forcing myself to return to poems, at least, again, whilst I am on hiatus. So, expect more poems, hopefully one a week at least.
(Yes, this is the same file as on the separate thing explaining the competition. It got noticed by barely anyone, and I hope that putting the announcement in the actual poem story thing will be better!))
It may be a little earlier than last year, but the Poem Competition is back for the second year running! I hope that it will get the same amount of super-talented poets as last year. The deadline may change in the future, but I'm planning on it being the 14th of November.
Of course, here are the few rules:
1. The poems must be completely clean, so no cursing in them or whatever.
2. They must be about Warrior Cats. I'm not picky about which ones, or how it's written. So feel free to use OCs or multiple cats, in whatever way you want, Including in a more amusing format long as you follow the rules.
3. There must be a minimum of four parts to the poem and at least sixteen verses are preferable, but it's fine if you can't reach that amount of verses. There is no limit, however, to the number of parts/verses, though try to keep it from being very long.
4. Only one poem per person, though you can send more than one, and select the best one to submit. Changing verses and such of the poem is allowed, as long as you do it before the deadline
5. The most important rule is to have fun! There are no prizes, and it is all completely done out of people's spare time.
There will be a first, second and third place, as well as two or three special mentions if possible. If you have already won in the previous competition, then you won't be able to win again, though feel free to take part as you could still possibly be second or third!
The winner will get a cookie of their choice and their poem put in my poem book thingy, and the second will get their poem put in as well. Everyone else will get a cookie (::).
Send me your poems via PM, preferably, but if you're a guest, or you don't want to PM, sending it through as a review on my poem book would be fine!
I hope that you'll take part and it will be as much fun as last year! Good luck to all that will!
Now for a random poem :D (Also, for the person who requested One-eye, I'm just researching more about him, and will hopefully have his poem done soon ^-^)
Self-hate,
Betrayal,
The anger and mistrust of everyone,
All down to three mates,
Feathertail,
Leafpool,
Nightcloud,
All of them either dying, leaving him or making his life a living hell,
One sacrificing herself for the tribe,
One realising where her true loyalties lied,
One turning his only kit against him,
Alone,
Ignored,
The outcast of WindClan
None if it was cared about,
Except the fact that he could never keep a she-cat
The tom had only one thought, sitting alone,
'I ought to just get a husband'
Poor Crow never had any luck with she-cats, especially with them all being unconfirmed lesbians. Someone needs to get him a husband.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed that..different poem! Sorry if it is not up to my usual standard, as I haven't written a poem here in at least nearly a year, at least- Hope you decide to join the competition, and see you in a week, hopefully, with One-eye's poem!
