Carly runs into the emergency room, "Hello?! Can we get some help over here?! My friend's having a baby!"
Maxie runs in after her, "Yeah, Sam's having a baby!
Coming towards the chaos, Epiphany asks, "What is going on out here?
"Where is the O.B.? My daughter-in-law needs a room," Monica questions as Jason pushes Sam in wheelchair.
"Oh, don't worry about it, Dr. Quartermaine. Dr. Lee is two minutes out," the head nurse reassures everyone.
"Aah," Sam cries out as another contraction hits.
Maxie doubts, "I don't think she's got two minutes."
Carly kneels comfortingly at Sam's side, "Do you want some ice chips?
"Uh, we don't have time for that yet. Let's get her into a room," Monica instructs
Maxie carries on, "Oh, no. She's not gonna give birth in the E.R. is she?"
Carly adding to the confusion asks, "Don't you think we should take her to, like, a birthing suite or something? The least she deserves is some privacy."
Epiphany takes charge, "Look, I need an orderly over here! Let's get Mrs. Morgan into Labor and Delivery on floor three!"
"Good," Monica agrees.
"Now you got to come with me. We'll get you ready," Epiphany informs Sam as she starts to push the wheelchair towards the elevator.
Maxie stops them, "Listen Sam, it's gonna be fantastic, okay? Don't be scared. It'll be all right. We'll be right here when you get out, okay? Get her in there!"
Sam replies full of excitement, "I can't wait!"
As they get sam settled into a room Monica pulls Jason aside, "Well, this is it! This is it. You and Sam are gonna have a beautiful baby, right here in general hospital, and Alan's gonna be looking over you. I'm here. And you just have to be calm. Do you think you can do that?"
Jason takes a deep breath, "I'm gonna try."
"Okay," Monica responds hugging her son.
"Wait for us," Spinelli calls out as he runs out of the elevator, "Stone Cold aren't you forgetting something? Your faithful companions?"
"Thanks," Jason says, taking the dragon and the phoenix out of Spinelli's hands.
~Somewhere to Run~
Sam screams out in pain and squeezes Jason's hand.
"One more push! That's it, Sam," Dr. Kelly Lee encourages, "You're almost there."
"You said that 10 minutes ago," Sam accuses, trying to gather the last of her strength.
Jason tells his wife, "You're doing great."
Sam: asks worriedly, "Are you sure everything is okay?"
"There are no signs of fetal distress," Kelly informs the couple, "This is a strong baby. Give me just a little more work and you'll be able to see for yourself."
"I never thought I would be a mom and I'm not sure if I'm ready," Sam confesses to Jason.
He brushes her hair away from her eyes and kisses her forehead, "I don't think anyone's ever ready. We just got to do the best we can."
Sam asks, "What if it's not good enough?"
"Do you love the baby, Sam?"
"More than anything, yeah," she responds.
"Well, that's enough."
"Okay. We're gonna do this - together, right?"
"Yeah, Sam, we're gonna do it together."
Her strength and confidence restored, Sam begins to push as the next contraction hits, "Aah!"
Kelly keeps instructing, "Push, push, push!"
Sam keeps pushing, "Aah! Oh, baby. Oh, I love you! It's happening. Okay. I love you, Jason. Aah!"
Baby Morgan's first cry rings out in the delivery room.
Dr. Lee places the baby boy on Sam's chest, "Congratulations. You have a perfectly healthy baby boy."
Sam starts to cry happy tears, "Oh. Hi, sweetheart. Hi. I think I've got some bad news."
"Yeah? What's that," asks Jason, also teary eyed.
"I've got a new man in my life."
Jason smiles, "I don't mind. I don't mind sharing."
A little while later Jason steps into the hall and calls Carly, "Sam had the baby and he's perfect. You know, he's strong, he's healthy. Yeah, no, it's a boy. Well, we really haven't figured out a name yet. No, no, no, Carly, I'm - I'm not gonna name him Jason. No, it's not a good idea. Listen, I - I'll just - we'll talk about it later, okay? I just want to say thank you so much for - for everything. I love you, too, Carly."
Monica approaches him after he hangs up, "You have a very handsome son in there."
"Yeah, I do," he beems.
"Mm-hmm. Can I give you a little advice?"
"Yeah, sure," Jason tells his mother.
"Well, don't take him for granted. Don't get caught up in your career, whatever's important to you. In other words, don't do what Alan and I did, and that is waste time you can never get back."
"Well, I made a lot of mistakes with you and Alan, both," he admits.
"No, you were our son. You were gonna be perfect. You were gonna excel at everything - until you had your accident and you changed, and your father and I had no idea how to adjust to that."
"Yeah, but I didn't make it easy for you, either."
"Oh, you were a kid. It wasn't your job to make it easy. Besides, you had two of the most self-absorbed parents on the planet, so between our endless fights and our extramarital affairs, we barely had time to notice you and A.J. When you were younger. And I know you and Sam are not gonna make that same mistake."
Jason tries to soothe her, "You did a good job."
"No, we didn't, Jason. We didn't. But we did love you. We loved you every minute of every day. We just - didn't say it or show it enough. So if you're gonna take any advice from your mother, just let your son know how much he's loved, okay?"
"I will," he promises as they enter back into the room.
"Thank you," Monica smiles, "He's even more beautiful than his mother."
Sam just smiles happily down at her son.
"How does it feel," Jason asks her.
"Pretty perfect. I feel blessed. I mean, I'm about to pass out from exhaustion, but it sure was worth it," she tells her husband.
Monica asks, "So, what is the name befitting for this beautiful new addition? Have you and Jason thought of a name for this little guy?"
Sam says to her, "Yeah. And I really wanted to name him after somebody we loved. Like my brother."
"Danny," Jason reveals.
Sam nods her head, "Yes, Daniel."
"Daniel Morgan," Monica considers it for a moment, "I like it."
"Well, he's gonna need a middle name," Sam continues, "I think you should decide that, Jason."
"How about - how about Edward?"
"Edward," she repeats, "I love it. You like it? Huh? I think he likes it."
"Oh. Come here. Oh, there you go, little baby," Jason takes his son from Sam and holds him to his chest, "Little - Daniel Edward Morgan."
Sam laughs, "What do you think?:
Monica gets choked up, "I think it's - I think it's a good name."
