...What to do?...

"-It appears that the source of all the commotion the other day came from a mansion on the outskirts of the city, where a Villain group known as the 'Creature Rejection Clan' was holed up. Older viewers will remember that this group of Villains has existed since the very first appearance of quirks across the world. Originally they protested those they considered 'mutants,' those who gained any form of bodily change as a result of their quirks. However they quickly turned to violence from their original peaceful means, and were labeled a Villain group. But as of yesterday they now appear to be a memory of the past, as their members and leader were brought in by our armored Hero Spartan. Without much warning or publicization he stormed into their mansion and took each and everyone one of them down, turning them over to the police. However it was also discovered at the time that they'd taken a woman captive, planning to use her as a sort of sacrifice for their cult-like behavior. It also appears that they were originally planning to attack the esteemed UA Highschool, most likely targeting it for their students that possess a wide range of quirks. Many across the country, especially those who would have been considered mutants by the CRC, have come out with public support for Spartan and his actions, thanking him for his constant actions to ensure that Japan would remain safe for all people regardless of their quirks. We were unable to reach Spartan for comment, as he left the scene before any reporters were able to arrive. However I'm sure that I speak on the behalf of many when I announce ongoing support for our Hero. Also in the news, Endeavor makes his reemergence back onto the Hero scene following his recovery. An attempted takeover of a cargo ship was halted when the fiery Hero assisted the coast guard against ten Villains, taking them all down by himself. Upon seeing the flames from the battle a crowd had formed on the shore, cheering for Endeavor as he beat them and eventually came back with all ten in custody. From the ferocity of his fighting it appears that he is attempting to make up for all of the cases that went unfinished during his absence, leading to the debate between both supporters and detractors as to whether or not it will allow him to reach the number one Hero ranking that he values so highly."

"For international news, tensions seemed to have cooled slightly within the Korean Peninsula following an agreement mediated by US diplomats, though it faces serious protests by the People's Republic of China. Chinese officials claim that it is simply the American attempting to extend their imperialistic reach further into Asia. And in the United States, presidential challenger Alexander Kovic campaigns across the East Coast and the Midwest, polling extremely high against current President Jonathan Bridlewood. This comes from Kovic's willingness to declassify any files regarding alien life and activity, a move that the Bridlewood administration has been extremely hesitant to do. However it seems that an intense political radicalization is taking place between supporters of the two candidates, with the threat of violence looming over the horizon. Whether or not such an event could come to pass is still-" Aurdel switched off the TV. He didn't want to bother himself with foreign politics given that he was in Japan, but he knew what happened to the United States in his timeline and whether or not the same thing would happen. There was a knock at his door, he looked over. It was rather early in the morning… He put on his helmet and walked over to it, "Ashido, you're up early. Is something up?"

"Nah, I just wanted to come over and thank you," she said, rubbing the back of her head. Aurdel stood in the doorway with the door open. "When I left for UA my parents were always worried about groups like that, especially after we were attacked by Villains. So thanks, you gave my family some peace of mind knowing that I would be safe."

"Oh, I see. Well I'm glad to know you feel that way, I don't think I would be doing my job very well if you or your family felt that you weren't safe here." He noticed her moving her head around, "But, I'm guessing you also came over here because you and the rest of the class is so curious about what the inside of my room looks like."

"I was being serious about me and my family, but yes." He sighed, this was what happened when you acted so mysterious. People actively tried to find out things about you.

"Fine, I'll let you see inside of my room. I don't know what you all find so interesting about it but I better not find anything missing." The whole class ended up swarming into his room, looking around.

"Isn't it really cold in here?" Asui said, shivering a little as she looked around.

"The room is purposefully insulated to keep it cool, it's the best condition to work in."

"Sure, but isn't a pain to sleep in?" Kaminari asked, "I can't sleep unless it's warm and I have a heavy blanket."

"My suit is climate controlled, I can make it as warm or cold as I want."

"You sleep in your suit?! Don't you ever take it off?"

"I take it off when I have to maintain it. It's designed to practically be lived inside of. Waste can be disposed of via a unit inside of the suit, liquids and soaps can be used to be cleaned while inside of the suit and if I need to eat I can simply take off my helmet."

"When do you eat? We've never seen you in the cafeteria."

"In my room," he folded his arms, "Like I said before I'm purposefully keeping my face hidden at least for now."

"Aw come on, that's no fun!" Ashido said.

Kirishima looked at the furniture, "Why's everything so bulky?"

"They're reinforced. Your average chair isn't very capable of supporting a man in a suit of armor that weighs a quarter ton, especially when that man himself weighs a little over three hundred pounds."

"Three hundred pounds?! How?!"

"I'm a seven foot man with a cybernetic left leg trained to be a super soldier, I feel that it should be obvious."

"You have a cybernetic left leg?" Midoriya asked, "But your left leg doesn't act any different from your right, even when we were fighting you and you were out of your armor."

"Prosthetics in the future are advanced, especially those designed for military use. Mine is extremely so due to the fact it was designed for active combat. If it was even a few milliseconds out of sync with the rest of my body, or it malfunctioned, I would be a dead man."

"Amazing…" They continued searching around, as if they were looking for something interesting.

"What's in there?" Uraraka asked, pointing to a door in the room.

"A storage room, I keep my gear in there as well as anything else important. And no Mineta, before you ask, I do NOT keep pornographic material in there."

"That's exactly what someone who does keep porn there would say…" Mineta grumbled.

"Overall my room isn't very interesting, it's just what I live in and use."

"Are you kidding?" Sero said, "Your room looks like it was ripped straight out of a spaceship in a sci-fi movie."

"I suppose so, I'm just used to the aesthetic. But it's origin is by no means from a science fiction me. The Covenant is a very real and very deadly threat, one that has killed many people I know including those close to me."

"Ah… I'm sorry."

"It's fine, just something you should keep in mind." Aurdel watched them look around in amazement for something that he thought was completely normal. He supposed that was just the way things were when you meet something unexpected when you're younger. "Anyways you all should be getting ready, classs start soon."

Aurdel was in the middle of teaching his class when he was called out. "I can cover for you," Aizawa had said, "But it is important." After that he went straight to All Might's office. He found the man in somewhat of a state of distress, behind closed doors.

"All Might, you wanted to see me?"

"Yes, Spartan. Please sit…" All Might gestured towards a couch, though he politely refused as he didn't want to break it. "I apologize for having to call upon you suddenly, but there is something that I need your help with."

"I figured as much. What with?"

"Back when I was still a youthful Hero in the United States, there was a man by the name of David Shield that I worked with. He had a similar role to that which Nighteye had, acting as the brains behind my brawn. But he was a brilliant support engineer and often made devices or equipment for me to take into battle," All Might sighed, "But he knew about my injuries, and he developed a device in order to try and get around the limitations of my body. A quirk amplification device. Villains caught wind of it some time ago but failed to obtain it."

"Then I'm going to assume that they've tried again, but this time they succeeded."

"That's what I"ve been able to come up with so far," he folded his hands, "Early this morning I received a message from his daughter Melissa that some force had attacked the island and cut off communications, and that several devices and blueprints were stolen, alongside her father going missing. She has gone to all involved relevant authorities, but so far none of them have been able to locate him or any of the equipment in question."

"In this day and age it should be rather simple to find out who was behind it, or at least have evidence of it happening."

"That's what I thought too, but the VIllains that attacked knew to destroy any recording they passed through during their attack. It's entirely possible that a bystander may have been able to record them with a mobile phone, but so far any cases where that was true resulted in the device being destroyed and the person having been killed."

"And the island security?"

"Robots mostly, they were remotely hacked and disabled by the intruders to prevent them from being used."

"I'll assume you have your guesses as to who these people might be."

"I do. The man who attacked the island the first time was a Villain known as Wolfram, nearly succeeding. But he was sent there by All For One, who trusted him to steal the device."

"Both of them are in prison, it shouldn't be possible for either of them to communicate with those outside its walls due to the sheer amount of security inside and outside of the prison."

"There are many things we don't know All For One to be capable of, I would not put it past him to possess a quirk that allowed him to communicate even across such large distances."

"Then what do you want me to do?"

"Currently there is very little that can be done, but what I do want you to do is to actively search for any possible clues as to where he might have been taken to. Police reports of hideouts with engineering projects going on, Villains with extreme strength using mechanical devices. Anything of that sort that they bring us closer to finding Dave."

"I can do that, though it'll take a lot of time to scan through police reports and chatter all over the country. And if it only just recently happened, there won't be much going around about it. I can't guarantee you that I'll find anything soon"

"As long as you look, that will be enough to take some worry off of my mind. I myself will be questioning the two of them."

"I don't think you'll get much out of them aside from some antagonizing." Aurdel stood up straight, "But I'll see what I can do."

"Thank you," All Might gave a pained smile, and Aurdel left. He mulled over the contents of the conversation as he walked back. A quirk amplification tool? It didn't make sense, how could a mechanical tool amplify quirks? From what it appeared to be they were simply an extra set of genetics that was inserted into the body, meaning that almost akin to how different vaccines had to be made for different diseases and that there could not be one catch all system for it. Unless… there was more to it. His mind was brought back to that conversation he'd had with that being, the one that told him about something called a Geas. Could quirks be connected to that? It was entirely possible as with the way quirks functioned seemed almost supernatural, with them acting like souls that could be imprinted onto another. He shook his head, it didn't matter how it worked right now. What mattered was the fact that it did work. There were already drugs that could drastically enhance quirks, making their users extreme power houses that were difficult to deal with. But were it to be combined with a mechanical tool that has no drawbacks for the user, they would become nigh unstoppable.

He could already imagine it. Combine trigger, that device and someone with a quirk that allows them to grow in size? They could dwarf cities by themselves, and crush them instantly without any chance of being fought off. A quirk like Bakugo's that already was extremely powerful and capable of large amounts of destruction? It may as well be producing thermonuclear weapons. It was something that had to be stopped by any means necessary. He returned to his dorm room and sat down, going to his computer. Immediately he began to access police reports and those from that of the Hero commission. Very few files were available for the case at hand, but he would work with what was actively available. First, I-Island. The island itself was mobile, and was entirely capable of moving up, down and across the pacific. It made it the perfect place for scientists to live, free to work without the limitations of national borders and local legislation. And initially, one might think that it would allow them a greater deal of security. But if it came to severely powerful threats, the opposite was true. Being on the move allowed them to be potentially targeted by Villains from any nation across the globe, they just have to simply drift close by and they could be boarded. And because it was technically not a part of any nation, no forces can be deployed to repel them. And if those same Villains managed to get away, it would make them incredibly hard to track.

Furthermore he looked into All Might's friend in question, David Shield. In reference to the previous incident in question where Wolfram attempted to take the quirk amplification device, it was noted that David Shield had originally planned the attack in order to get it off the island. However he hadn't known that the students of Class-1A would appear, nor that All Might would also and that the faux-Villains he'd hired to accomplish the job were actually real VIllains. In the aftermath David was ultimately cleared of possible charges, though he was put under a sort of parole and had the quirk amplification device taken from him, with it and it's blueprints being placed inside of a much more secure and unknown location on the island. As it turns out it hadn't worked. The Villains came in by armed military grade helicopters, attacking the airport while several aircraft were parked and making it impossible for anyone who was on the island to leave. At the same time they jammed communications across the island and destroyed transmission towers. Once the airport had been secured they apparently acquired several armored vehicles from inside one of the storage areas, none of which managed to be recovered by authorities.

Using the armored vehicles they used the roads and split their force into two. One of the groups went directly for where the location of the device and its blueprints were stored, the other went towards the two hundred story tall tower in the middle of the island to capture David Shield. Both groups fired upon civilians with tanks and fifty caliber machine guns on military vehicles, killing many who had come out to see what was going on or had simply been in the way of either convoy. At the place of storage for the quirk amplification device the army of security bots that had been ordered to guard it were completely annihilated, having been led out of their zone and destroyed by the armored vehicles. The few human security forces that were inside of the facility were also gunned down, leaving no witnesses. And as he already knew the device and its blueprints were stolen, no evidence left behind that they'd been there aside from the destruction they had caused. The group that was sent to capture David Shield had slightly more of a tough time.

Across the island was a unified security system, meaning that once one place had locked down so would every other. That meant each floor of the two hundred story tower was locked down tight like a bank vault. And initially, because the man had been near the top floor, this allowed him to stay out of their reach. According to those that were present it had taken three hours for the men to get past all of the security for the first forty floors. And apparently once it had set in for the Villains that they wouldn't have enough time or energy to systemically go through every floor of the building, they came up with a new plan. They threatened to destroy the base of the tower, killing everyone that was inside without a chance for escape. After this was made clear David Shield surrendered himself into the custody of the VIllains without any pressure from those within the tower, being taken away and into the armored convoy. The tower ended up destroyed regardless of what the VIllains had said. In the end they returned to the airport, leaving with all of their vehicles and David Shield.

The situation was currently under wraps internationally, as no one wanted to panic the world with what could effectively be described as one of the worst terror attacks to occur on open waters. Eventually information would forcibly come out, by any means really, but until then they were squashing any reports on it. Aurdel delved further into the file. The men were dressed completely in black tactical gear, with masks covering their face and no visible way of identifying their affiliation on their shoulders. Hearing that, and the fact that they were using military gear, led him less to believe that this may have been a simple VIllain, and more possibly a PMC or black ops unit from another nation attempting to get their hands on it for themselves. But with absolutely no concrete evidence of such there was nothing he could do at the moment besides simply keep an eye out. But his train of thought was completely interrupted when a frantic report came through. He listened in. "-Copy unit 73, what is your status? Over."

"This is unit 73, the downtown area is currently under siege! Multiple officers down and SWAT teams are being overwhelmed, they're even wiping the floor with some of the Heroes! We need backup!"

"We read you, but there are no available additional units at this time. A call has already been put out on the HN, you'll have to hold on until further assistance becomes available and arrives."

"By the time anyone else gets here we're going to be- Oh shit!" The man shouted over the radio, a loud crash reminiscent of several cars crashing together in a high speed collision.

"Unit 73, are you still there? Unit 73, respond." No response came back. Aurdel wasn't going to just sit here and let good men die on the street trying to defend innocents, while he was supposed to be working some other job.

He tapped into the comm channel and broadcasted a short message, "Pro-Hero Spartan, I'm on my way."

...Hood...

The fight taking place downtown was quite some distance away from the school, meaning that he would have to be quick. With a running start he used his thruster, leaping over the wall that surrounded the school and using his momentum to clear the tops of the forest that surrounded the campus. Cutting a direct path to where the fight was would save time and lives for the sacrifice of the simplicity of simply following the roads. He traveled quite a distance before tucking and rolling back into solid ground in the middle of a road. After a brief moment to take in a deep breath he broke into a full on sprint, mixing up his path as he went. At first he stayed on the road, but when it necessitated it he moved into the alleyways to cut between blocks. Then once that wasn't enough he climbed up the walls of the buildings next to him, proceeding to then run across the rooftops of those same buildings. Out of the corner of his eyes he noticed that people down below were watching him as he ran across, looking like they stared in awe as he did. A news helicopter even seemed to take notice of him and began following him, the camera following him as he moved. Great, just what he needed. News coverage or not he was still going to do his job. He approached the edge of one building's roof, there was quite a distance between it and the next one. It didn't dissuade him. With a running jump he leapt from the building and over the streets below him, landing on his feet on the next and continuing the sprint.

A total of six minutes passed by and in that time he managed to reach the location of the fight. He stopped on the edge of the rooftop, peering over to see it as it was occurring now. There was one of those Nomu, though this one was different. Unlike the others which had consistent appearances, with a bird-like face and an exposed brain on the top of their head, this one appeared to be shrouded. And unlike the others which he easily dispatched and could have been taken down by even police forces, this one appeared to be wiping the floor with the local Heroes. The news chopper hovered in front of him annoyingly, as if it expected him to say something. So rather than feed into their need for clips he took a few steps back, allowing himself to get a running start once more. He jumped off of the edge of the building and grabbed hold of one of the skids on the helicopter, flipping himself in the air to build up speed before launching downwards. He plummeted feet first towards the ground in the direction of the Nomu, it turned to face him but he came down too fast. His boot slammed into its chest and it was sent flying backwards, slamming through a concrete barrier. Aurdel landed on his feet and regained his balance. The Nomu quickly regained its own and stood up, "You, are you strong?" It questioned in an odd voice.

It could talk? Whatever, it didn't matter. Aurdel charged straight forward at the creature as it stood there, it attacked him all the same. Several of its arms stretched out like elastic bands and wildly swung across the area. The arms went straight through the sides of buildings, light posts, anything that was in its path. Aurdel bobbed and weaved, avoiding the arms as they came back around to try and swipe at him. Grabbing hold of one he brought it back around, using it to slam the Nomu's fist into itself with great force. It let out a roar as it seemed to bulk up in size, increasing its muscle mass. With jets on its back it blasted forward and slammed straight into him, Aurdel having braced his arms for the impact was pushed some distance back with the heel of his boot digging into the road beneath his feet. He brought up his right leg quickly, throwing his knee into where the face of the creature would be. It staggered slightly, Aurdel pushed forward. He struck deep into its gut, punching straight through the skin and leaving a hole where his attack landed. With blow after blow he left holes in the Nomu, but it did no lasting damage as anything he did was immediately regenerated back. The creature bulked up again, headbutting Aurdel before slamming its many fists into him.

Aurdel was thrown back from the sheer strength, but managed to flip up on and landed on his feet in a ready stance. But the creature wouldn't let him attack first and instead went for him again, throwing punch after punch in his direction. Aurdel managed to avoid the blows, with them landing on the road and sidewalk instead of his armor. The asphalt and concrete completely shattered, with chunks of debris flying up into the air like projectiles. And the creature brought them all back down in a hail of bullets. Aurdel caught several as they came his way, throwing them back towards the creature but missing as it stretched itself out. It flung itself at him again, this time using its arms to pull itself forward in tandem with its jets. Aurdel took the blows head on, its speed seemed to be increasing and becoming less and less dodgeable. In that case he'd out think it. He moved around erratically, throwing attacks when he saw necessary in order to keep its attention on him. Then when the Nomu thought it was in a position to grapple Aurdel he shot up into the air using his thruster pack, causing its arms to miss and grab a truck instead. The truck was pulled to it at immense speeds, the Nomu flying towards it as well. Aurdel, being in the air, came back down straight on top of it. Aurdel kicked it in the back and forced it to go flying through the metal of the truck, the beast splitting in half as it came onto a sharp edge.

But Aurdel knew that wouldn't be it. In the mere second or two that it took him to run over and attempt to finish the Nomu off, it had practically finished regenerating completely. And with visible anger it leapt at him and attacked. The speed and strength was completely too much this time. It grabbed hold of Aurdel with its elastic arms and flew up, dragging him through the side of a building. His helmet repeatedly hit concrete and metal, but was able to push through it due to the sheer force of the creature. Once it dragged him through the entire building it launched him into the air, attacking him without end. Aurdel used his thruster pack to maneuver away from it, but with repeated attacks from all directions many were able to get through. One large attack eventually formed, slapping him away with his back to the ground. Once he'd hit the bottom it attacked him again, throwing everything it had at him. His armor stressed under the repeated strong force, but it held together. He stopped moving, making it look like he'd been killed. The Nomu stopped, "Shame, is there anyone stronger?" It turned its back to him, as if it was already done with him. But Aurdel was nowhere near done with him. He took advantage of the momentary reprieve it gave him.

He punched through the fuel tank of a truck, dumping gallons of gasoline onto the road and more importantly onto himself and his armor. Then he picked up a large metal chain, preparing himself. He flared on his thruster pack, igniting the fuel that covered him and giving an appearance of being totally engulfed in flames. Aurdel attacked the Nomu from behind with a flame covered fist, punching a hole straight through its pack and searing the flesh on its inside with the fire. It let out a roar in protest but he kept going, now moving faster than the Nomu as adrenaline pumped through his body. With the chain in hand he effectively used it like a garrott, using the pressure he created on its body to cut it up into several pieces. At the same time several gray Nomu seemed to launch out of its body, somehow having been stored inside. Aurdel whipped the chain at the main Nomu, forcing it back into a temporary retreat. Then he adjusted the cycling speed and frequency of his shielding systems, allowing it to essentially allow electricity to arc from his armor like lightning.

One gray Nomu charged him, Aurdel brought down his fist with an end of the chain in hand to the exposed brain of the creature. The amount of electricity pumping through its head caused it to overload, then essentially explode. Another came at him, Aurdel whipped the chain around and cut straight through its head. Two more charged at him from either direction, Aurdel jumped into the air and wrapped the chain around both their heads. He swung the two creatures into the air, using them like a flail to barrage the other Nomu. But eventually their necks broke and their heads severed, fried by the charge passing through the chains. Aurdel let go of the chains as another charged him, opting instead to face it head on. He grabbed it by the neck and ripped its head off, kicking the body to the ground before throwing and using the same head to stun another. He brought his right leg down from above, cleaving straight through its body with immense strength. Eventually all four of the remaining Nomus charged at him together, throwing their weight and power behind one large attack.

Aurdel brought the chain back up, spinning in place and effectively using it as a sort of weed whacker. The Nomu's had their bodies shredded to bits and he rotated again and again, spraying a bloody gore across the streets. The original Nomu was the only one that was able to keep up with its massively improved regeneration compared to the others. Aurdel charged it, avoiding the many attacks of its elastic arms. It shot into the sky, most likely in an attempt to flee. Aurdel used his thruster pack to follow it upwards, using the chains as a sort of whip to keep driving the Nomu further into the air. He went so far up that the thrusterpack shut itself off, having used it for so long is such a sustained period that it did so to prevent damage to itself. But he got up to where he needed to be, throwing the chain around the Nomu and using it to pull himself in. As they plummeted back to the ground he completely enveloped the creature in the chain, locking it in place tightly. Moments before they hit the ground he yanked the chain with immense strength, cutting through it in every possible way. The two of them hit the ground, a cloud of dust from debris kicked up into the air. But when it cleared only the Nomu was dead, something that Aurdel ensured by stomping on its now revealed head. He looked around idly, it was quite a mess. Well that was that. He made sure to help clean up, then went back to the school.
