Hello! Themusicmaniac here!

I hope you've all had a great week!

I've taken this week to look over the story again, and I have found two issues:

1.) There is a huge gap in one of the chapters, I don't know how it got there, but rest assured it will be fixed as soon as I get this one up.

2.) There are a couple of minor continuity issues with my story, as well as many grammar errors. The grammar fixes may not come until I finish the story, but they stick out like a sore thumb to me, so they will be fixed at some point.

Guest: It definitely was a close call, and so is this next fight!

SciFiGirl253: Thank you! I don't know if I'll get to write Quackerjack and Megavolt working together much in this story, but I hope to write more about Val after this story;) Stay safe!

Anyway, this week has been a drag for me, so I hope that this gives a little light to your day! Don't forget to hydrate, keep safe, and get comfy. Enjoy!

"Hey!" Gosalyn said, as we sped towards the flooded street. "What gives? I was gonna draw his attention away from you guys."

"Gos, not only is that unsafe, but you didn't let us in on your plan." I said, glancing over at her. "Distraction may be dangerous with the Liquidator because he can spread out so much. We could all be captured at once."

"She's right." Darkwing said, "We need to try something new, something different." He turned off from the main road and into an alleyway. "Any ideas?"

"Well how has Darkwing defeated Liquidator in the past?" I thought out loud.

"Electricity?" Launchpad proposed.

"Too much risk. And we'll never find enough electricity to do that." Darkwing said, as I nodded.

"The only other way I've seen the Liquidator defeated on the show is when something is added to him, like concrete or Jello mix. There's no way we could get enough of anything for the amount of water that is flooding the streets." I said, finishing my granola bar.

"If there was a construction project nearby, maybe…" Launchpad suggested.

"I've got it!" Gosalyn exclaimed. "If we are able to mix the water, maybe we'll be able to confuse him by creating a whirlpool and getting him mixed up in it!" We all started thinking about how such a plan would work.

"That might work, but only if we can contain him." Darkwing said, looking outside the alleyway.

"The abandoned culinary district is right over there." Launchpad jabbed his thumb behind him.

"You have an… abandoned culinary district?" I asked.

"There's a reason WANDA had to differentiate." Darkwing explained, revving up the Ratcatcher.

I couldn't really argue with that one.

"So, we get his attention and try to lead him into an abandoned food factory…" I trailed off.

"Where we utilize it's elements to mix him up and capture him!" Gosalyn finished. "Good plan."

"Well, I wouldn't say good, but… it's enough." I said, but noticed Gosalyn frown. Something inside me hurt to see her like that. I didn't mean to put down her plan, it was just that…

I didn't feel prepared at all to face what we were facing.

We raced off into the night, towards Liquidator.

I need to talk to Gos later.

Hopefully I'd get the chance.

Getting the Liquidator to follow us was easy.

Trying to capture him was hard.

I ran along a catwalk in an abandoned candy factory as Darkwing and Gosalyn were on the main floor, fighting the Liquidator.

Well, I say fighting.

He was actually on the receiving end of several punches from the Liquidator.

"Take that you nosy dogooder!"

"Gosalyn!" Darkwing yelled in between punches. "You. need. To. find. The. others!"

"I can take care of myself!" She yelled, using a chain she found on the ceiling to swing above the Liquidator and kick him in the face. It did very little damage, but it did make him mad.

"You'll pay for that!" He turned from Darkwing and started chasing Gosalyn.

"Gosalyn!" Darkwing ran after the both of them and tripped over his cape.

"It looks like I might need a new revolutionary solution: Indoor pool!" Gosalyn was slowed down significantly as the Liquidator started to flood the place. I started to panic as I watched the Liquidator slowly close in on her.

"Launchpad!" I yelled. "Are you ready?"

"I'm gonna need a few more minutes!" He yelled back. "I just found out that they make cherry gelatin and that's my favorite!"

"Launchpad we're running out of time!"

I looked at the controls and sought out immediate solutions. I can't activate the mixers that came down from the ceiling, I needed DW and Gos out first. I can't use electricity, DW and Gos were still down there. They were going to need to get up here soon.

Darkwing rushed to get to Gosalyn, as they started to lift off the ground. He attempted to punch the Liquidator in the face, and failed again.

"The Bud Flud Company gives you: Indoor fish tank! The catch? You're the fish!" He started laughing maniacally.

"Val!" Launchpad called from the other side of the room. I can't catch up! There's too much water!"

I looked at the water and made a split second decision.

"Gos! DW! We need to get out!" Both nodded, as Darkwing was pulled under. Gos went in after him.

"Guys!" Launchpad called, before diving into the water after them. I saw Darkwing surface, shortly before Launchpad surfaced and swam towards them.

I needed to get them out. I looked around the warehouse and found exactly what I needed.

I found a chain hanging from the ceiling and reached over the edge of the catwalk to get to it. I tugged on it to make sure it was anchored to the ceiling and swung over to where they were in the water. "Up here!" Darkwing, Gosalyn, and Launchpad all got on. We climbed to the top.

"What now?" Darkwing asked. I looked around for any semblance of help.

"The skylight!" Gosalyn yelled. "We can get out from the top of the building."

We helped each other get to the structural supports near the roof of the warehouse and were about to get out.

"Leaving so soon? I was about to give you a special deal on a spa day!" The water rose higher much more quickly than I realized it could, and I felt water on my ankles before I realized that he was pulling me under. I kicked him in the face before swimming upwards, where Darkwing had dove after me. We both swam towards the skylight, where Gosalyn and Launchpad were already waiting for us.

I felt the chilly air as I gasped for breath upon breaking above the waterline. Gosalyn helped me up. We were all soaking wet, and the water was still rising.

"We need to regroup. Let's head back to the hideout." Everyone nodded in agreement, as we ran down the emergency exit stairs, taking care not to slip and fall.

Liquidator definitely had them beat here.

There wasn't enough cherry jello.

Anyway, thank you so much for your tremendous support! Seeing your rates and reviews always are so encouraging to me. Thank you!

Stay safe and see ya next week!
