It was beautiful and surprisingly warm on the first day of school. I decided to wake up early as I again had to make sure everything was proper and in place
"Bye Ane-chan" I said as she woke up
'You're already leaving?" she asked
"Yea, we are playing for the freshman show, so I have to go set up the systems" I said
"Bye then" she said going back to her sleep
I left a bit too earlier than usual. "Hmm a coffee would seem good right now" I told myself
After entering a starbucks where me and Ui had that conversation I continued on the way to the school.
As I was walking in the school I collided with a small figure
"Huh?" I said looking around and my eyes were falling on a girl with pigtails "Oh crap are you alright?" I said helping her up
"I'm so sorry" she said
"It's my fault" I said "I wasn't looking where I was going"
"It's ok" she said, eyeing my guitar "You're in a club?"
"Yea, I am in the school's light music club, we are playing for the freshman orientation" I said
"I hope that I will see you there" she said
"I got to go now" I said "I'm in charge of setting up the amplifiers and mics"
"See you later" she said
At that moment the rest of the gang excluding Yui entered
"Hey guys" I said giving them a wave
"Hey there Kawamura-san" said Mugi "You came early"
"Ah well you know my task, I have to set up everything" I said "Hopefully we get a technician for this year"
"Let's go to the clubroom" said Ritsu leading the way
"How are things going with Yui" asked Mio while we were walking up the stairs
"Things with Yui are going great" I said "We talk to each other everyday"
"That's good to hear" she said
"Do you guys hear that?" Ritsu said stopping
As I strained to hear, I could make out that someone was playing guitar
"I'll go first" I said
"Be careful Kawamura-san" said Mugi
"I'll be fine" I said as I edged up the door and opened
I saw that Yui was playing Watashi no Koi wa Hotchkiss unplugged and was humming and at the end she got up and did a guitar pose I couldn't exactly make out
"Damn Yui that was good" I said leaning on the door frame
"Akhiko", she said running towards me to give a hug
A few moments later the gang came in,
"Alright guys, I need your help to set up stuff at the auditorium" I told them "Get your instruments and meet me in the auditorium"
After 30 minutes of shuffling through instruments we arrived at the auditorium
"Just set up your drum-kit and I will do the rest" I said
Mio and Yui were the last people to arrive with some drum heads and a few Di boxes
"Hey thanks for those, I will fix them up" I said "Also just shoot me a text of which class I am in and tell the teacher that I won't be able to attend"
"No problem" both Mio and Yui said
"ARgh more work" I said as they exited the room "Welp time to do this myself"
"D-D-Do you need any help" a voice said
"Who is it?" I asked in confusion
"I'm here" said a boy with long hair
"Do you know what to do?" I asked
"Y-Y-Yes, I used to be stage tech and sound engineer for a few year" he said a bit nervous
"Can you mic up the drums" I said "Oh and what's your name?"
"My name is Oda Yoshi but please call me Yoshi" he said
"Yoshi, my name is Kawamura Akhiko but call me Akhiko" I told him
We quickly set into work and were done in the next half an hour.
As I finished setting up my guitar and put it on the stand along with the others
"So you are a freshman right, school does not start until the reception right?" I asked
"Yea" he said
"Would you like to join our club" I said "I dont think I am that bad at engineering but you are way better"
"Of course what do I do?" he asked
"Tell you what, meet me in front of the staff-room and then we will go together" I told him
"Will do so, I think the ceremony might be starting" he said
"Well then meet me there" I said running off to the green room
I went inside the green room and saw that everyone had already reached there
"You guys ready?" I asked
"We are" they all said
"What did you guys do?" I asked
"We tried to get new members for the club" said Mio
"By the look on your face I'm assuming it did not go that well" I told her
"We had to dress up in animal costumes and some students were scared of us" Ritsu said
"It'll be ok, I found a new member for the club" I said
"Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome, Hokago-Tea-Time" the emcee said announcing us
"I'll tell you bout it later, are your in-ears in?" I asked
"They are locked and loaded" said Yui
"LET'S DO THIS" we all shouted as we picked up our instruments.
"Hello Juniors of Sakurakoga high" I said emitting a small cheer "My god that was weak, I SAID HOW WE FEELING SAKURAKOGA HIGH JUNIORS" which created a louder response
"I'll hand it to Yui for now" I said walking back my mic stand
Yui than began introducing us for too long sometimes it used make them before she was angrily cut off by Ritsu
"Our first song is Watashi no Koi wa Hotchkiss" she said "we hope you like it"
Me and Yui were harmonizing when the song started, I used my pitch-shifter pedal to make it go higher
Soon the singing was about to kick in but it seemed that Yui was not singing but rather Mio was when I turned to see what had happened I saw that Yui was stuck in place. She forgot her lyrics so Mio had taken over for now
I took over for the chorus while Yui regained her composure and started singing
We all sounded like a proper trained band while in reality we had only rehearsed for 30 minutes before the concert
"Thank you Sakurakoga high, We are Hokago-Tea Time" I said as the others exited the stage
"You guys go on, I'll get the new member and come" I said
"We'll see you at the clubroom" said Yui
"See you there" I said giving her a hug
I walked to the place where I was supposed to meet Yoshi
"Hey there Akhiko" I heard Yoshi calling me
'Hey there Yoshi" I told him "Are you ready?"
"Yea, I am" he said
"Aight let's go in" I said as I opened the door
"Can we call you Azu-nyan" I saw Yui talking to someone on the chair
"Guy's what's happening?" I asked "Oh hey there"
"Hi there, you were amazing playing there" she said
"Aw thanks I said" I said "I still don't know your name?"
"Oh my name is Asuza Nakano" she said extending her hand
"A pleasure to meet you, My name is Kawamura Akhiko but call me Akhiko" I said shaking her hand
"Well then, I suppose this is the new band member you got Akhiko" Ritsu said while going to introduce herself "The name's Tainaka, Ritsu Tainaka, I am the club president and the drummer"
"My name is Oda Yoshi but please call me Yoshi" he said
"Well then we found two new band members let's get this show on the road" I said
