Chapter 17 A trip to the South Pole

(For the record no this is not an episode from season 2)

Its been about 3 months since Sean rescued his brother from the God of Death Thanatos and since Deimos decided to travel the world to find some peace like his brother did centuries ago.

During that time Sean and Korra were enjoying themselves in Republic city as nothing serious had come up since Amon was defeated and those who still followed his ambition were mostly imprisoned or killed by Sean's hands.

As for the two themselves.

"WHOA!" Turok yelled as Sean tried to smash him but he dodged.

"I'm gonna fucking kill ya!" Sean yelled chasing him as Korra watched and laughed.

How did this happen you might ask?

Turok pulled one of Loki's gags on Sean using an ice cold bucket which froze his head solid making Korra laugh before he freed himself and chased him.

"It was just a joke!" Turok yelled running away.

"I'm looking at a joke!" Sean yelled making him freeze before facing him.

"Harsh." Turok said actually offended by that.

"I never should have taken you to Asgard 75 years ago. Loki has corrupted you big time." Sean said bonking him on the head.

"OW!" Turok yelled holding his head.

"Anyway you might wanna dress warm for tomorrow." Sean said.

"Hmm? Why?" Turok asked confused.

"Because we're going back to the South Pole. Theres a festival there tomorrow and I'm not missing it." Korra said grinning.

"Oh yeah thats right your from the South." Turok said.

"You know you never said where Turok was from. Reznov I know is from Asgard and Julia from Egypt but you never said where he's from." Korra said.

"Hmm. I suppose I haven't. His people called their land Turtle island If I recall correctly." Sean said. (I think thats what Native Americans called America back in the day before the colonies ever began)

"Turtle island?" Korra asked amused.

"What? These lands have giant Mountain lion turtles." Sean said.

"True." Korra said remembering that story from Katara when she wasn't training.

"Well, hopefully this festival will let me do my acts as a comedian." Turok grinned making Sean groan in annoyance while Korra snickered.

"You know I actually wanna see what he can do for a change." Korra said.

"No you don't. All he does is insult everyone he fucking knows. It's annoying." Sean said making her grin.

"Says the 300 year old virgin." Turok said making them smirk not saying a word which he noticed. "Wait...You aren't saying anything like you usually do." Turok noticed.

"If I say anything you'll just use it against me like always." Sean said avoiding the truth.

"True." Turok said walking away making the two sigh.

"Ok maybe him performing in front of a crowd isn't a good idea." Korra said realizing if he realized they did it he would tell everyone for a laugh and her father would be angry while her mother would be asking for grandkids.

"I don't think we can stop him now. We're just gonna have to make sure he doesn't say anything that directs at us." Sean said.

Next day

Spyro flew to the North Pole with Oogi next to him.

"RACE YOU DOWN THERE!" Turok yelled as Spyro went faster.

"It's not even a race. Spyro can easily out fly any furball." Sean said making Korra giggle before they landed before Oogi landed next to them.

"Ah home sweet home." Korra said enjoying the cold temperature.

"I actually missed this place." Sean said as they walked to the compound.

Walking there Korra quickly noticed three figures making her smile before rushing to them which turned out to be her parents and Katara.

"MOM! DAD!" Korra yelled rushing to them before pulling them into a hug making them laugh.

"Its so good to see you again Korra." Senna said holding her daughter.

"It feels good to be back again." Sean said walking to them.

"You know I understand Benders are surrounded by their elements but this is ridicules." Turok said seeing all the snow and the cold.

"Oh shut up. Theres nothing wrong with this place. It's nice and calm." Sean said.

"You would like that." Turok said making him glare.

"You two are definitely brothers." Tonraq said.

"Yup." Sean said.

Entering the inner compound Sean put his things down.

"We seriously have got to make sure Turok does not say anything about us tonight if he does perform." Korra said a little worried now.

"Yup." Sean said before said person appeared.

"And why is that?" Turok asked amused making them freeze. "Is there something I shouldn't know?" Turok asked amused making Sean glare.

"Turok I'm warning you. Tone it down." Sean warned as Korra glared. She couldn't understand it. When it came to battle against anyone he was wise, caring and understanding. But on his free time he was a major pain.

"I thought you said he went out into the world to find Inner peace." Korra said.

"I did. Doesn't mean I can't joke around every now and then." Turok said shrugging.

"Well, please keep us out of your jokes as much as you can. Please?" Korra almost begged making him sigh.

"Fine." Turok said making her sigh in relief.

Thats when Sean spotted Tonraq.

"Hey Tonraq. I need to talk to you for a second." Sean said as they two left.

"Wonder what thats about?" Korra asked.

"Eh. Probably nothing important." Turok said.

Soon enough Sean came back making her smile seeing they were alone.

"So what was that all about?" Korra asked.

"Ah nothing. Just warning him about Turok's jokes incase he gets any ideas." Sean said before kissing her making her kiss back before.

"WHOA!" Senna yelled seeing them making them freeze. "Sorry, sorry." Senna apologized giggling making them pull back reluctantly. "I'm not getting any Grandkids any time soon am I?" Senna asked teasing making Korra blush.

"MOM!" Korra yelled embarrassed making her laugh some more.

Later

The festival was very lively.

"Hahahaha! I enjoy this festival every year." Sean said making Korra smile as she kissed him.

"And it's even better since I have you now." Korra said making him smirk before they saw a large number of people gathering around a stadium as Turok was beginning his show.

"Uh oh." Sean said worried.

"Oh great." Korra said before they made it into the crowd.

"So anyway when I first got here I heard people could Bend...Not the kind I was expecting though." Turok said making some people laugh.

"What are you up to?" Sean asked getting on stage.

"Doing my dream job. Anyway as I said when I heard people could Bend...Not what I was expecting." Turok said.

"And just what were you expecting?" Sean asked curious.

"It's called bending. You do the math." Turok said making him frown before widening his eyes figuring it out as everyone burst you laughing even Korra couldn't help but laugh.

"Your a pervert." Sean said getting some laughs. "You wanna know something funny. This guy looking like a 13 year old has slept with over a hundred women." Sean said shocking the crowd while Turok widened his eyes looking at his brother.

"What the hell?" Turok asked in shock.

"Well you did shortly after you turned 18. I remember the first time that happened too. You went to the brothal in Arcadia and asked. Do you have any girls who would do it with a 13 year old?" Sean said making the crowd laugh. "And sure enough he found a dumb blonde." Sean said making them laugh harder.

"No! No, No! Thats not even remotely true I have not slept with anyone. I don't wanna do that after the shit Aphrodite pulled on me when I turned 13. And at least I'm not a 300 year old Virgin." Turok said making the crowd laugh while Sean said nothing but a small twitch in his mouth was seen for a second but Turok saw it. "Wait a minute. I saw that." Turok said.

"What?" Sean asked.

"That twitch in your mouth. What are you not telling me?" Turok asked.

"How bout the fact that you were once promised 72 virgins in a different land if you died an honorable death." Sean said quickly to change the subject while people laughed.

"Oh god even I don't wanna do that. Thats a nightmare." Turok said.

"Hows that?" Sean asked making him scoff.

"Who the fuck wants to hear this 72 times in a row? Ooh, Ow, Oh! Boo-Hoo-Hoo! Your gonna call me right?" Turok said making people laugh before cheering while Korra snickered at that. "Thats highly overrated and a bloody nightmare." Turok said.

"Ok thats fair. But seriously your gonna wanna settle down with someone soon." Sean said looking at Korra who smiled.

"Well...I got my eyes on someone but she's a little young so I'll wait until she's legally older." Turok said confusing and concerning him.

"Who?" Sean asked dreading the answer.

"Jinora." Turok said shocking him and Korra while the crowd laughed and cheered.

"WHAT!" Sean roared.

"What? I said I would wait. She technically saved me from Amon's Lieutenant. That gives a good impression." Turok said.

"She's 11." Sean said in disbelief.

"As I said I will wait 7 years until she's ready for that." Turok said making him sigh as people laughed.

"I swear if you do anything..." Sean tried to say.

"Oh lighten up. Don't act like you didn't feel the same way about Korra as she got older." Turok said making him look at her who smirked.

"Ok thats fair." Sean said.

"I mean you've known her since she was 4 and now look at you two 14 years later. From her unbeatable protector to her boyfriend in 14 years." Turok said.

"Ok fine whatever." Sean said wanting to change the subject.

"So you two have been dating for 9 months now right?" Turok asked making the crowd cheer while said couple grinned.

"Yup." Sean said happy about that.

"So...When are you two gonna fuck?" Turok asked making him widen his eyes in shock as did Korra while everyone laughed.

"DUDE! Why would you just blurt that out loud?" Sean asked in disbelief making him laugh.

"Oh come on! Aren't you sick of being the 300 year old Virgin?" Turok asked making people laugh.

"You do realize The Goddess Artemis is also a Virgin and she's 10,000 years old." Sean said. (In this story she's that old)

"True. But thats her choice. You two are gonna wanna do it eventually." Turok said grinning.

Sean tried to hide the smirk on his face but all his mouth did was twitch which he saw again.

"There it is again that twitch in your mouth." Turok said.

"It's nothing. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes." Sean said not telling him they already did it.

"What are you gonna wait until theres an engagement ring on her or something?" Turok asked.

"Uh Turok thats not how my people propose to each other." Korra said.

"It isn't?" Turok asked confused.

"No we craft a necklace with our family symbol on them and ask them to wear it. It makes the engagement official." Korra explained.

"Oh. Well...I've seen plenty of different engagement proposals around the world as he was guarding and protecting you so I guess it makes sense." Turok said.

"Every culture is unique." Sean said.

"But seriously are you really gonna wait that long to have sex?" Turok asked making him stutter while Korra was getting annoyed.

"NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! God I wish I never took you to Asgard. Loki fucked you up!" Sean yelled jumping down to Korra as they left.

"Oh come on I'm just messing around." Turok apologized.

"There is such a thing as too much fuck head!" Sean yelled making him sigh guessing he went too far.

"Well, shit." Turok said rubbing his head.

"I swear. I hate Loki so much for screwing with his mind." Sean said.

"Whats got you so angry?" Mako asked walking to them with Asami and Bolin.

"Oh Turok is just running his mouth about us. I'm starting to see why Loki is your least favorite God in Asgard." Korra said.

"HEY!" Turok yelled running to them.

"Piss off." Sean said.

"Ok I'm sorry. I didn't mean to piss you off. I'll keep the jokes like that to a low." Turok said.

"Turok there is such a thing as going too far. Other people's personal business is one of them." Sean said making sigh.

"Ok fine." Turok said.

As the festival continued Sean saw Asami and Mako playing games while Bolin and Pabu were trying to catch Koi Fish with the later looking at them in hunger. And then he saw Reznov and Julia showing off their abilities to a group of kids. And Pema and Tenzin watched their children play with other Children from this part of the four nations.

'Perfect.' Sean thought before he and Korra walked away from the festival which she noticed.

"If your taking me away just to make out you could have said so." Korra teased with a light chuckle making him grin.

"If I wanted to do that It would be more than making out. Trust me you won't be disappointed." Sean said making her smile wondering what he was up to.

Minutes later

Soon enough the two appeared where they started their relationship and where Korra got her bending back.

"Sean what are we doing here?" Korra asked confused.

"Korra...I need you to close your eyes." Sean said making her even more confused making him chuckle. "Just trust me. Please?" Sean asked.

"I don't know what your up to but fine." Korra said closing her eyes making him chuckle.

"Korra I have known you since you were 4 years old for 14 years. And these have been the best years of my life." Sean said making her smile. "In the last year we've been through a lot. Fights, War, Near death. And you accepted me for what I did in my darker days. And love. Theres just one little thing missing." Sean said making her snort in amusement.

"Oh yeah? And whats that?" Korra asked still having her eyes closed.

"Open your eyes and find out." Sean said making her do so.

Only to gasp in shock seeing him with a blue stone necklace in hand with the Olympian symbol on it.

"Sean...I..." Korra tried to say but every word froze in her mouth.

"Korra...Will you marry me?" Sean asked causing tears to come out of her eyes in joy before she pulled him into a hug and kissed him.

"Yes." Korra cried out as she held him wanting to savor the moment for as long as she could.

When she pulled back Sean placed it around her neck.

"Is it good?" Sean asked making her smile touching it.

"It's perfect." Korra said before kissing him again.

Minutes later

Walking back to the Festival they saw Turok hanging upside down.

"What the?" Sean asked before Reznov began beating him with a bat.

"OW!" Turok yelled making them snicker.

"Oh this is sweet payback." Sean said making Korra grin.

"This is what you get for running your big mouth!" Reznov said swinging again before his head was knocked off from the force of the hit.

"Ok I probably deserve this." Turok said knowing this was Karma before Jinora picked him up.

"What did you do to make them angry?" Jinora asked making him sigh.

"Ran my big mouth like Loki always told me to do. Sometimes I think my brother is right and should just stop." Turok said.

"No shit." Sean said standing above them before grabbing his brother's head. "Now will you knock it off with the jokes?" Sean asked.

"I'll tone it down is more of the term." Turok said before his body was put down and Sean put his head back on.

Soon enough the group wen their separate ways while Sean and Korra walked in their own path.

"So when are we gonna tell them?" Korra asked grinning like mad.

"Uh." Sean tried to say.

"There you are." Pema said as she and her husband approached them. "Where did you two run off to?" Pema asked making Korra snicker.

"Um...Sean wanted to...You see...Fuck it! Sean proposed!" Korra said excited shocking them both making Sean chuckle.

Pema was the first to shake off the shock.

"Oh I'm so happy for you two!" Pema said pulling Korra into a hug. "Sean, you better treat her right." Pema threatened with amusement.

"Haven't I always?" Sean asked before looking at Tenzin who remained speechless.

"Tenzin? Are you ok?" Korra asked concerned before he fainted backwards.

"Why am I not surprised?" Sean asked slinging him over his shoulder.

Later at the compound

"Mom why is Daddy asleep?" Jinora asked as Sean sat him on the bed in his and Pema's room. Of course she just shooed them out.

"Uh...Thats mostly my fault." Korra said sheepishly rubbing her head.

"Why? What happened?" Ikki asked being the ever curious one.

Korra looked to Sean for some help.

"Well...You know why people get married right?" Sean asked making them nod. "Well...Sometimes certain people can find it rather shocking and some...Faint." Sean said.

"Wait, than why did Dad faint?" Jinora asked making Sean snicker trying to find a calm way to say it unlike Korra did to Tenzin or they might do the same.

As the two were trying to think of a way to explain without them doing the same thing as Tenzin Jinora being the ever smart and intelligent one began to connect the dots.

Thats when she widened her eyes in realization.

"YOU GUYS ARE GETTING MARRIED!" Jinora yelled at the top of her lungs.

Both looked at each other before grinning.

"Yes." Sean said.

"I KNEW IT!" Turok yelled appearing behind them making them jump as the others were seen. "Thats why you went to talk with her father! To ask permission!" Turok yelled pointing at them with a grin.

"Ok guilty as charged on that." Sean said rubbing the back of his head as they were bombarded with questions.

Later

After getting away from the group from their questions Sean and Korra were outside looking at the stars while Korra played with her engagement necklace with a smile.

"You know I was gonna go for your family symbol." Sean said making her smile before kissing him. (For those that don't know it's the symbol on Tonraq's parka and Naga's riding gear on the front)

"This is perfect." Korra said making him smile as he held her.

"Knowing Turok he's gonna tell the others in Asgard and my father is clearly watching right now. That means we're gonna have to leave to tell one last group of friends in foreign lands about the wedding." Sean said.

"Where?" Korra asked making him grin.

"Julia's home lands. Egypt." Sean said.

"Please tell me theres not a god there that wants to kill you?" Korra almost begged remembering Freya.

"Uh to my memory no I don't think so." Sean said making her sigh in relief. "I'm on pretty good terms with all the gods there. And Egypt is ruled by the gods like Osiris who's wisdom rivals my father and Odin. And very kind. Always said someone would heal the wounds of my past." Sean said making her grin before kissing him again.

"I can't wait to meet him." Korra said before they went back inside.
