I relax a bit as she does a simple exam. She gives me a shot of something and the panic attack lessons. When she is done, she helps me sit up and then sits in the chair across from me.
"My name is Doctor Kacia Salick," she says. "I volunteered to be the doctor on call here when you arrived so that I could give you a message and help you. Plutarch and I have been in contact since you left 13. I'm sure you already knew that he had contacts all over Panem. He knows you're here Katniss."
I just look at her. "What was the message?"
She sighs and then begins to read something off a piece of paper.
"Katniss, as you are well aware, Panem is on the break of war. We needed you to help us fight the Capitol. When you left, everyone was surprised and began searching for you. I should have known this would happen. Your love for your daughter was more than your desire to fight in a war. Unfortunately, President Coin did not waste much time looking for you and began war efforts once again. Fortunately, now that you've been found, Coin and I want to give you a second chance to help us. If you accept, Kacia will tell you the mission. Sincerely, Plutarch Heavensbee."
Kacia looks at me and waits for my answer. Now that I'm close to Daisy I don't see any harm in helping them. By helping them Panem will be free from tyranny. I look at Kacia and give her my answer.
"Yes. I will help."
A happy expression covers her face and she begins to tell me the mission.
"They want you to expose Snow and to assassinate him," she says. "Thankfully I have some friends that are willing to help expose him." She pulls out a tablet and shows me what looks to be cameras set up in his office. "Tiny cameras were set up in his office where you will be meeting him today. It will be televised live to all of Panem without his knowledge. I can't help you with the other part but I hope you are able to achieve it. We need a new Panem." She gets up and leaves the room. Peeta rushes in and pulls me immediately into a hug.
"I was so worried," he said.
"I need to tell you something," I say. I tell him everything and what I need to do. He barely gets a chance to answer when Cinna comes into the room to get me ready for tonight which is only two hours away.
Cinna puts me into a red dress. It is heavy. Heavier than usual. Cinna sees my discomfort and pulls the layer to the side that parts down the middle. There I see a bow and a small sheaf of arrows hanging to the belt of the dress.
"I thought you might need these," he says and winks at me. He must know about the mission.
The car ride to the mansion doesn't take long at all. Peeta and I hold each other's hands as many guards escort us to Snow's office. When the door opens, standing in the doorway is President Snow looking at me with his snake-like eyes.
