"I can't believe I'm actually here" squeals Dani
"ok I'm gonna be forward here Dani, I'm a big fan of your activism on lgbtq rights, the question I want to know is romantically what is your stance on me" says Tori
"well I mean…. Wait is that why I'm here" says Dani playing with her leg nubs nervously
"yes and no, look I'll be honest with you, I kinda do have feelings and everyone I'm with romantically are working really hard to keep me in a good mood and I can see they need a break, they may not say it but I can see I'm wearing them down" says Tori
"hey dealing with trauma isn't easy, trust me they know that but my mom really could use a break from me, I guess if you're willing to love me, wheelchair and all I guess it's worth a shot, is beck ok with this, I wouldn't want to scare him or make him feel like I'm stealing you away from them" says Dani
"ya he's ok with it, he made it very clear that there aren't enough people to keep me in a good mood both emotionally or sexually, that I'm a lot to handle and that if having you as my sole personal girl that I can keep to myself helps them cope and ease the pressure on them then they'd all be fine with it" says Tori as she picks up Dani
"oooh I love how you picked me up, so soft and light" says Dani
"my touch is always light and soft, you're twenty-two right" says Tori as they move to the couch
"actually I just turned twenty-three two days ago, I know I look thirteen, you can thank a drunk driver for that one, my mom could barely pay for my medicinal brownies as well as all the bills" says Dani as Tori falls asleep holding her on the couch as Jade walks over
"how's it going Dani" asks Jade
"I think Tori and I are a side thing now to your guys main thing but she kinda just fell asleep with me in her arms" says Dani
"she does that with Cat a lot, the blend of dosed foodies she got to help keep her cancer in remission and mitigate her seizures makes her tired right now, though to be fair she's only on day three of her three month trial of medicine dosed edibles that she agreed to" says Jade
"is she against weed or something" asks Dani
"not against weed itself per say, it's more fear than anything, she's afraid that people are so quick to jump to conclusions that she'd be labeled a pothead if people found out, ever since it became legal two years ago she'd apparently done loads of research on strains and dose information because she knew I am somewhat of a pothead, I have a prescription for my anxiety as it is really bad at times and if I ever brought the topic up she didn't want to be confused, in hindsight that should have been the first hint for me that she was bi and liked me" says Jade
"ooh what flavour did she get" asks Dani as she nuzzles Tori
"oh my God you're gonna fit right in with her here, she got strawberry-banana flavor edibles, her reasoning was she likes them in her yogurt so why not" says Jade
"hmmm that's not on her wiki" says Dani confused
"you'll find there is a lot of information not on her wiki and it's for a reason, her fans may know about her cancer but none of them know about her seizures and honestly while I update the wiki weekly she insists it not be on there, that's just one example of something not on her wiki" says Jade
"why not be transparent" asks Dani
"because she understands her fans care about her and she is worried about them finding out about the weed edibles thing, she also understands that if she told them she was suffering from seizures because of the cancer she knows they'd try and send some form of support, money or otherwise, in her eyes her fans buy her music and that's the only obligation she really wants to push them to do, we are working on some merch they can buy, pillows, hoodies, water bottle and stuff but won't be ready till March twentieth so if you want to make a post on the Victoria Vega fan page about that you can" says Jade
"how should I word it" asks Dani
"how about 'Tori Vega is suffering from a disorder I'm not legally allowed to disclose but that they are working on some merch' and that 'they should stay tuned for a release date at which point they can support her that way', if possible please make sure to note that until the merch is launched she doesn't want people sending her money and any that do will be return to sendered, she will accept fan mail though" says Jade
"ok, also what am I here" asks Dani
"you are Tori's exclusive girlfriend, also her PR person along with me, I'll give you information on stock of merch and stuff so you can update her fans" says Jade
"I found out I was gay because of her, me loving her isn't gonna hurt your guys relationship with her right" says Dani
"no Dani, far from it actually, her spending time with you actually gives us some breathing room, she had a bad trip yesterday morning for the first hour after she ate her breakfast portion of the pot brownie but was fine after that first hour, nearly bit a piece of Trina's left ear off" says Jade
"I'm guessing her emotions went wild with the calmness of that first hour, you know as well as I do that when a trauma brain is fed calmness it can do strange things" says Dani
"that's exactly what happened, Trina wasn't in the mood as she'd just woken up which was a mistake, once Tori calmed down from the mania episode she apologized and started questioning everything, from her sanity to her right to be loved, an hour after that she pulled out of the mania mode entirely and was able to do normal things for about six hours before she needed a nap" says Jade as Dani cuddles Tori
"have you considered maybe green isn't for her" asks Dani
"Maria, Tori's cancer doctor said it's a common initial reaction to edibles from the brain after the cancer is gone because of how the cancer affects nerves and that if it doesn't go away after two more weeks then she'd adjust the dose or stop it entirely, Maria has Tori on a high medicinal dose specifically because how deadly the cancer is and the fact that if it returns her chances of survival are basically zero, Maria said it was a shot in the dark, Tori agreed the risks were too great not to try and work through it" says Jade
"did she do it for me….." asks Dani
"I mean you are an adorable young lady Dani, she can't get you out of her head, she wrote a song called ghosts of tomorrow, it's very explicit and targeted at you, after she played it for us we had to ask her if she'd cheat on us, she admitted that yes she might but only for you Dani, by welcoming you into our family we mitigate any chance of hurt, besides you studied her from afar, we went to school with her so we're blinded to the triggers and facts by our love for her, you aren't, not only are you coming into this prepared but you also said you have a good idea of why she does things" says Jade as she sits on the couch next to Tori and Dani
"it is my belief from the articles I read purely because I love her that the cancer may have activated the semi-dormant Bipolar disorder in her, that or a gene for Multiple personality disorder was activated, I'll know more as I spend time with her" says Dani
"she loves your voice, she said you could be a singer, also either theory has merit, Rebecca has bipolar disorder and her late aunt Franny had mpd so realistically she could have both though I've never heard of cancer activating dormant traits like that though" says Jade
"cancer is literally runaway cell mutation, all it takes is one mutation in the wrong area to change anything" says Dani as Cassandra walks over
"I heard someone talk genetics, what's going on" asks Cassandra
"Dani says it's possible that the cancer Tor had activated a dormant bipolar or personality disorder trait" says Jade
"I mean it's theoretically possible yes but never been proven as fact, isolated cases with certain cancers ya but not wide spread enough to prove to doctors it's real and treat them for the condition, they just label them nuts and send them home after the cancer is gone, most kill themselves because they don't know who to trust, what's your proof that Tori is suffering from that condition" says Cassandra
"several factors, for one when she does a live on internet stream and people request certain songs fans like me can all tell she changes, ghost nebula is one example, she sings it so soft and quiet when someone asks for it, out of all the singles she's released there are six songs that follow that same pattern, I've also listened to recordings of songs she made with Andre Harris and the same symptoms do not show up period" says Dani as Tori tightens her grip on Dani
"you sound like a scientist" states Cassandra
"my mom was a genetics scientist, my dad was a senator, we had a big house and I had lots of friends, when he died that all went away, not because my friends only liked me because of my money but because my mom couldn't afford the school costs so I was homeschooled, when I came out as gay my mom said 'I really hope that won't cost me money, I can barely pay for the apartment as it is'…." says Dani
"wasn't your dad a really famous senator" asks Jade
"ya he was really well liked, there wasn't a bill he didn't sponsor that didn't pass, he was seen as the moral and level headed senator on the right, if a senator raised concerns of scandal from another senator or governor, he never took a side, it was always show me proof and if the concerns were based in fact and physical proof he'd always vote based on the facts, people always respected him for that" says Dani AS Cassandra turns white
"whoa wait a second, your dad was Tristan Taylor" asks Cassandra
"yeah, why" asks Dani
"there were rumors he was touchy touchy with you, can you clear that up" inquires Cassandra
"absolutely not, he hated those people, sure he sleep walked into my room but he was always at my feet, he put a security camera in my room specifically so he could assure himself he didn't do that stuff" says Dani
"how can you know that he didn't do stuff with footage of you changing" asks Jade
"that drunk driver asked the same question when he was asked why he drove drunk, he said he was saving me from a pedo father, the police investigated and took all the security footage, my dad never deleted a single clip, he had footage of his and my moms first kiss, the first time they had sex, the cops saw all that, my dad was a borderline hoarder, every cheque he wrote, every senate bill he sponsored, he had copies of it all, the cops took his computer, trust me if he had video of me changing the cops would have found it, also I CHOSE THE CAMERA, I SET IT UP, the only thing my dad did was install it on the wall, his strict instructions were that if I changed in the view of the camera that I was to delete it so nobody, not even he could use it, he knew the kinda pervs that were out there, he knew that if I deleted any clips of me changing the chances of the pervs using it on me to make me do what they might ask me to do was really low, that without anything to threaten me to leak the pervs would avoid me" says Dani
"do you have proof his theory worked" asks Cassandra
"yes actually, on three different occasions I had a guy two grades above me come up to me telling me they had pics of me naked, I asked for proof and they squirmed and walked away, had they had actual pics they'd have shown me" says Dani
"and it only happened three times?" asks Jade
"yeah, my mom found out and called the cops to make sure they got their phones taken away for even suggesting they had pictures of me, turns out they did but not from my camera, they took pictures of me showering after gym AT SCHOOL, I wasn't the only one they targeted as I found out later, they got charged as adults with possession of child images and intent to kidnap" says Dani as Tori wakes up and kisses her
"ooh I had the best dream girlie, I feel so refreshed" says Tori
"y-you talking to me?" asks Dani as she blushes
"Dani the only other girl she could conceivably call girlie is Cat and Cat's working" says Jade
"you do love me love me right T" asks Dani
"yes, please don't question it, I'm begging you, questioning my feelings leads to a dark place for me, you're the LAST person on my list of crushes, guy or girl" says Tori
"how did you realize you loved me" asks Dani
"I saw you on the news last year talking about how it shouldn't matter what gender we are or what sexuality we identify as or even what race we are, we're all humans and that we deserve the decency of being treated equal then you said something about your dad's last words to you were 'I know', it really hit home for me, my dad may not be the best dad but when I told him I was bi last year those were the words he used" says Tori
"see I'd believed from the day I was nine till the day of the crash that I was bi, oh how wrong I was, my dad while being a right wing politician believed in his core that lgbtq people deserved better than they got, when I told him I was bi he told me in his I know better voice 'that's not what I see but if that's what you want then the least you deserve is my consent to believe in yourself', the day of the crash he pulled me aside and said 'I think you're gay Danielle, I see the way you look at the girls you bring over for sleepovers, I see the sparkle in your eye when you talk to them, guys just don't spark that reaction from you', I spent the whole car ride up to moments before the crash crying because I realized he WAS right, my last words to him were I'm sorry dad you were right, I am gay, his response was 'I will always love you Danielle, please know that'…." says Dani crying at the memory
"but you told be Tori made you realize that" asks Jade
"she did, I'd asked out every girl I had a crush on after the crash, all I ever heard was I'm sorry thanks for letting me know but I don't like you that way, you'll find someone someday…., I'd started to believe that I was nuts or ugly, then Tori released her first music video and I was stunned, my mom walked in to my bedroom, saw me with my jaw open, took one look at the screen and said 'ooh she's pretty, so you did mean it that day', all I could do was nod, found the fan club group and people saw how I put people making nasty and demeaning comments in their place and not long after I was asked by jade if I wanted to be an admin in the group and I jumped at the chance" says Dani
"I'm glad you did, do you want something to eat girlie" asks Tori smiling at Dani
"can jade make us some deviled eggs" asks Dani
"I can indeed, you two girls cuddle, I'll be about half an hour" says Jade as she goes to boil eggs
"I love you tori, I never thought I'd be here with you" says Dani laying her head on Tori's neck
"honestly had anyone told me last year I'd survive cancer, have all the girls of my dreams, Beck and a music career I'd have laughed and said they're dreaming, just because I fantasized about it and wanted this I'd have never asked for it, there is a difference between forced love and real love, at this time last year I'd made a resolution to finally find love and that if it happened I wanted it to be real love not forced, never in a million years did I expect to be allowed to be this happy" says Tori
"are you gonna die" asks Dani
"honestly I don't know, the cancer I'm beating into remission right now, first with meds and now edibles is very aggressive, if I let off for even a moment ya it's possible it could come back and kick my ass, I have four doctors making sure that doesn't happen though" says Tori
"she's trying to buy this mansion on fifth Ave Dani, does that sound familiar" says Trina
"that… that… that….. that's my old house, b-but why" stutters Dani
"well for one this house is too small to put in an elevator, cat wanted an art and music room, Trina wanted more space, everyone wanted more space actually, Akina's running for mayor of LA and polling well, plus I inquired about any way I could get a deal, they said let Danielle Taylor and her mom live there for free and they'd pay for solar panels if I paid the full four Mil, I told them they had a deal" says Tori
"why do I get the impression this they is not a they but a single person" asks Dani
"look she has a crush on your mom, she said they had toyed with the idea of love in high school but when your dad entered the picture she was heartbroken then she heard about the crash and that your house was gonna be auctioned off to pay bills she jumped at the chance to own it till you were old enough" says Tori
"the only girl my mom spoke of as highly as dad was his sister Annabelle Taylor, mom and auntie Annabelle were the same age and dad was almost two years older than mom, auntie and dad weren't on the greatest of terms but the family friendship was always friendly between them" says Dani
