Ghosts, Goblins and Murder

Chapter 14th

Sergeant Esposito and Ryan had arrived at the scene of the crime of the Wall Street firm with the body of Alotta being placed on the stretcher by Doctor Lisa Anderson and her assistant Melanie having been called.

It was differently a sure bet that he was shot three times with the lawyer being shot in the head twice with a revolver of sorts. Ballistics will be sent to the lab to figure out which type of revolver was used on the lawyer.

Sergeant Esposito shaking his head at the body. He needed to know why his secretary wasn't around at the time of the shooting. He was told that she was told to leave for her lunch break early. Along with the brothers killing Alotta knew when the security guards will be making their normal rounds on the floor.

Walking over to the coroner Doctor Anderson. She knew exactly what he wanted with the questions. "I will be sure to send the full autopsy report to Captain Beckett along with anything else that might pop up. However I do know it was some type of a revolver used in the shooting Sergeant."

"Fine. I will let the Captain know about the report on his death." He walked away with Ryan speaking with the security Guard William Tobias age 65 years of age walked in the office to see his body in his seat with two bullets into his head and one his chest.

"We need to have the security footage of that last hour in order for us to see whether the two brothers did indeed come to shoot Alotta." Ryan asked with giving the address of the 12th precinct and where to have the courier to bring it as quickly as possible.

"I will be sure to send it off Detective Ryan. I am sure you will be able to find your shooters." Tobias had to say on the subject. He was just sorry that they were being used as pawns with the death of the lawyer.

"Thank you. I will be sure to inform Captain Kate Beckett in regard to the security footage." He walked away from him and his partner to head back out to begin their rounds once again.

Meanwhile Alexis had gone home after doing her deed at the law firm and with sadness that the lawyer Alotta was shot just after she and Hayley had placed the two electronic bugs. She walked into the apartment complex with her detective husband William was watching over their daughter. He was going to be leaving in a few moments to head out for the precinct to begin his shift with his partner Lt. Jose Aleverz.

"Are you alright Alexis? I heard what had happened at the Wall Street law firm. Beckett called to let me know the information and to asked that I keep an eye out on you until I leave for work." He gave her a kiss that was nice and warm making her feel better in general.

"I am fine Will. I am just hoping that the bastards Jake and Joey along with Robert Douglas will have their just desserts?" She replied with her daughter asleep in her crib.

"Believe me they will Alexis. We have a great many people working on the case and including your own father." He stated...

Sometime later...

A courier had brought over the security footage from the firm. Beckett, Esposito and Ryan staying late in the lab. They were watching the three security footages of the main hallway of Alotta leading to his office.

Ryan found the one with seeing Alexis and Hayley arriving and leaving into the elevator. "I believe this is footage of moments later after Alexis and Hayley headed for the elevator after leaving his office."

They waited for a moment or so with the footage coming up to where the elevator opened to show Joey and Jake heading for Alotta's office. Sometime later again with them again leaving in a hurry...

"Now we know for sure it was the brothers that had shot Alotta and with Robert Douglas nowhere in sight?" Beckett had to say with looking at the time. "There is nothing that can be done now with the late hour. Go home like myself. I will put out a bollo on those two as with the lawyer Robert Douglas." She stated with a loud yawn from inside the lab.

Beckett walked out to call her husband Castle to find out on whether there was dinner made. He had arrived home earlier after his interview in regard to his book Cat's Eye. He was sitting in the living area watching a movie "Air Force One" with Jake, while the other two were upstairs playing on the computer and the endless number of games.

His cell phone was sitting next to him when the ringtone of New York, New York went off. He picked it up quickly to lower the volume slightly while his son was watching still the movie. "Beckett when are you coming home? I have made dinner that was a big hit with everyone."

"Coming home now after checking with the video footage of the shooting of the lawyer Alotta." She said tirely with her voice and mostly her body language.

"Did you catch anyone Kate?" Castle had to asked with his curiosity of the case.

"We did Rick. It was the two brothers killing Alotta and we need to catch them as with finding Douglas with no doubt giving the orders. I will discuss it further for when I arrive home. By the way how are the kids?"

"Jake is watching Air Force One with me in the living room, while the other two are playing computer games like always. See you soon Kate." As he hung up the phone on his wife to bring up the volume to continue watching the movie that was almost over. It was at the part that Ford was able to be rescued at the end with getting everyone on board...
