Christmas Day
Spencer House
It was 9:30 Christmas morning and Shawn got up and went into the kitchen and started the coffee maker for Juliet.
Shawn went to the pantry and grabbed the pancake mix and a metal Christmas tree cutter. He went to the fridge and got out the rest of the ingredients and put them on the counter.
Shawn walked over to the stove and started it and began mixing up the pancake batter.
He left the kitchen and went to the extra bedroom to grab Juliet's Christmas present. He walked back to the kitchen and put Juliet's present on the counter.
The pancake batter was ready as well as the skillet. Shawn made 10 Christmas tree pancakes and put them on a plate and fixed a cup of coffee for Juliet.
Shawn walked back to the bedroom and saw Juliet holding a pillow.
Shawn walked to the edge of the bed and brushed Juliet's hair out of her face.
"Merry Christmas, Jules." Shawn whispered.
Juliet stretched and smiled, "Merry Christmas, Shawn." Juliet said.
Shawn got up and sat down next to Juliet on the bed.
Juliet sat up and got in Shawn's lap and hugged him.
"What are you doing up so early?" Juliet whispered.
"Get out of bed and come see." Shawn said.
"I wanted to cuddle with you for a little bit."
"Well we can do that all day."
"Not when we have guests."
"Especially when we have guests."
Juliet laughed.
Shawn looked at Juliet and kissed her.
"Come on, let's get up." Shawn said.
Shawn and Juliet got out of bed and walked into the kitchen.
Juliet walked into the kitchen and saw a wrapped box on the counter.
"Is this mine?" Juliet asked.
"Yeah." Shawn said.
Juliet unwrapped the present and opened a box. She opened the box and found a matching diamond necklace and diamond earring set.
"Shawn." Juliet whispered.
Shawn was on the other side of the counter and watched her.
"This had to cost you a lot of money." Juliet said.
Shawn smiled, "Don't worry about that."
"But this is nice."
"Ok and?"
"Don't feel like you have to spend a lot of money on me."
"Juliet Spencer, you are my wife, and I love you more than words can ever describe."
"I get that, but real diamonds?"
"Yeah they're real. I called your mom right after we got engaged and asked her what you've always wanted as a gift and she told me a matching diamond earring and necklace set."
"You voluntarily called my mom?"
"Yeah I did."
Juliet walked away from the counter and walked into Shawn's arms, "I love you so much, Shawn Spencer."
Shawn wrapped his arms around Juliet's waist and kissed her.
"I love you too, Juliet Spencer." Shawn whispered.
"Can I wear them today?"
"Of course you can Jules. I also have Christmas tree pancakes and coffee ready for you."
"Christmas tree pancakes?"
"Yeah, I found a cookie cutter and used that."
Juliet moved out of Shawn's embrace and fixed her some breakfast.
Shawn fixed his breakfast after Juliet sat down and then went and sat down at the kitchen table with her.
"So it's 10:15 in the morning, we have about 4 hours until people get here, what do you want to do?" Shawn asked.
"We can pack…" Juliet suggested.
Shawn dropped his fork and looked at Juliet.
"What?" Juliet asked.
"I had other plans." Shawn said.
Juliet caught on to what Shawn was talking about and smiled, "Maybe after."
"Fine."
Shawn and Juliet finished eating and Shawn cleaned up the kitchen.
Juliet went into the bedroom and grabbed her and Shawn's suitcase and threw them on the bed and started packing for her.
Shawn finished cleaning up the kitchen and walked in the bedroom and saw his suitcase on the bed.
"Right now?" Shawn whined.
"Yes baby. The quicker we get packed, the sooner we will get to your plans." Juliet reasoned.
"Fine."
Shawn began packing and Juliet went to his closet and grabbed a few nice outfits.
"Nice outfits?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah. We're going to be there 2 weeks, I plan on you taking me out to dinner a few times." Juliet said.
"I will take you out to dinner a million times."
"Can we go dancing?"
"Dancing?"
"Yes, dancing."
"I don't know how to dance."
"I'll teach you."
"Fine."
Shawn and Juliet finished packing and brought their suitcases and put them in Shawn's car for tomorrow morning.
Juliet walked back in the house and went straight to the bathroom and take a shower.
Shawn shut the door and heard the shower running. He ran back to the bedroom and stripped and hopped in the shower with Juliet.
"What the hell?" Juliet asked.
"You promised." Shawn said.
"I didn't promise anything."
"Please Jules?"
"Can you please wait until our guests leave? It's 11:30 now."
"Yes ma'am."
"Now are you going to shower or are you going to mess around?"
"Shower."
Shawn and Juliet finished their shower and got dressed.
Juliet went to Shawn's closet and found his dark washed skinny jeans and found his solid green polo shirt.
Shawn walked out of the bathroom and found his outfit on the bed.
"Thanks baby." Shawn said.
"Of course." Juliet said.
Juliet got dressed and then went back into the bathroom to brush her teeth and fix her hair.
Shawn finished getting ready and went out in the living room.
Shawn looked around the room and saw Juliet's present still on the counter. He got up and ran to the counter and grabbed the box and went into the bathroom and put the box on the counter.
Shawn took the necklace out of its case and put it on Juliet.
Juliet looked in the mirror and saw her necklace.
"Shawn this is absolutely beautiful." Juliet said.
"Not as beautiful as you." Shawn said.
"Kiss ass."
"I will always suck up to you."
"Oh joy."
Juliet put in her earrings and walked out of the bathroom to put her heels on.
Shawn walked back into the living room and sat down on the couch.
As soon as Shawn sat down the doorbell rang. He looked at the camera and saw his parents at the door.
"Jules! Mom and dad are here." Shawn said.
Juliet came running down the hall to greet her in-laws.
Shawn opened the door and Juliet got back to his side just as he was opening the door.
Shawn opened the door and greeted his parents.
"Hey mom." Shawn said.
"Merry Christmas." Maddie said.
Shawn let his parents inn and they went and sat down in the living room.
"Juliet your house looks amazing." Maddie complimented.
"Thank you. Would you like a drink?" Juliet offered.
"No thank you, I don't want to be the only drinking."
"Water?"
"I'll take some water, sure."
Shawn sat down across his dad.
"Shawn." Henry said.
"Hey dad. How are you?" Shawn asked.
"Not bad. You look nice."
"Thanks. Want a drink?"
Henry shook his head.
With Juliet and Maddie in the kitchen.
"So how are you feeling?" Maddie asked.
"Better. Thank you for coming to the hospital." Juliet said.
"Juliet, you are family, you're carrying our first grandchild, of course we are going to be there for you every step of the way."
"I know Shawn and I appreciate it."
Maddie smiled.
The doorbell rang again and the rest of the crowd got there.
2 Hours In
2 hours into the Christmas party, Juliet walked over to Shawn and wrapped her arms around his body.
"You ok baby?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah." Juliet said.
4:00 PM
4:00 rolled around and everyone was gathering to get ready to go.
"Guys, thank you for today. Merry Christmas." Karen said.
"You too." Juliet said.
Shawn and Juliet let their guests out and then crashed on the couch.
"Wow." Shawn said.
"What?" Juliet asked.
"We aren't hosting another holiday…ever."
"Why not?"
"I'm exhausted."
"Next year we'll have a baby with us."
"Exactly why we're not hosting."
"The baby will be 2 months old."
"That's still young Jules."
"I know."
"If we host, then we have nowhere to go when we're tired."
"We can use the baby as an excuse."
"Juliet Spencer, did you just use our child as an excuse?"
"Maybe."
"I am so proud of you."
Juliet laughed and kissed Shawn.
Juliet got up and went into the storage closet and grabbed Shawn's Christmas gift.
Juliet walked back into the living room with a wrapped box.
"Is this for me?" Shawn asked.
Juliet nodded.
Shawn unwrapped the box and found another box. He opened the second box and saw a wedding picture of them kissing with their vows on the side the were standing.
"Jules, you got our vows printed?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah." Juliet said.
"But you said you got my gift a lot earlier."
"I actually picked it up 2 days ago."
"Sweetheart this is amazing."
"You like it?"
"I love it. I haven't seen any of our wedding pictures."
"Oh yeah I have our album."
"Did you look at them?"
"No. I didn't want to without you."
"Go get them."
Juliet got up and grabbed the flash drive and plugged it into the TV.
Shawn opened his arms for Juliet to sit in his lap.
Juliet sat on Shawn's lap and kissed him and then pressed play on the slideshow.
"You look handsome." Juliet said.
"Thank you. you looked stunning in your dress." Shawn said.
"You like the halter top?"
"Baby you could've gone with no top and I would still love it."
Juliet threw her head back and laughed, "I bet you would."
They enjoyed the slideshow for 15 minutes.
There was one last part of the pictures that had individual videos for the couple.
"What's this?" Shawn asked.
"I don't know." Juliet said.
Juliet pressed play and saw her mom pop up on the screen.
"My baby girl, I am so happy that you found the man of your dreams. I couldn't be happier for you and Shawn. I can't wait to see the baby when it gets here. Shawn, take care of my Juliet, she's one of a kind." Maryanne said.
"I guess these are videos addressed to us." Juliet said.
Juliet pressed next and saw Gus.
"Shawn, Juliet, Shules, you two are family. Juliet, you don't know how much Shawn loves you. When he first met you, he came back to the office and never shut up about you. I have never heard him talk about a girl like that…ever. Shawn, you have a good one. You two have something special. Baby Spencer, you have some of the coolest parents in the world. I love you both." Gus said.
Shawn pressed next and saw his parents.
"Shawn, congratulations son. I know growing up you saw me and your mother fighting, but I want to let you know that none of that is your fault. We tried to make it work countless times, but it never got better. You are so happy with Juliet. I love you both." Henry said.
Juliet pressed next and saw Karen.
"Shawn and Juliet, where do I even begin. I first saw you two have chemistry the very first time I saw you two together. You two were oblivious and in your own little worlds. I am so glad your paths have crossed. Shawn, you have grown up right in front of my eyes. Watching you grow up from a loud ass kid to a loud ass adult has been a pleasure. Juliet, watching you grow in your career here has made me so happy. I wish you two nothing but the best. That baby is one lucky kid. I love two." Karen wished.
Shawn clicked next and saw Carlton up next.
"Oh Jesus." Shawn groaned.
Juliet laughed and pressed play.
"O'Hara, you are one of my closest friends. I consider you a confidant. I saw you and Shawn at the end of the last Yang case. I wanted to tell Karen so bad, but I didn't want to ruin our friendship. Now Spencer, you know where I stand with you. You better treat O'Hara right. O'Hara, keep that fool in line for me. I wish you two nothing but the best and I can't wait to teach your son or daughter out to shoot a gun." Carlton wished.
"Carlton isn't getting near our child to teach them to shoot." Shawn said.
Juliet laughed and leaned back and tucked her head underneath Shawn's chin.
"I love you." Shawn said.
"I love you too. Are you ready for the honeymoon baby?" Juliet asked.
"Yes. Now I need a nap. Care to join me?"
"Of course."
Shawn situated on the couch and spooned Juliet and watched TV until they dozed off.
