An hour later, Eda and Maxwell's clone were sitting in what looked like the office of the fun police. There was a sign on a banner that had the words "The Fun Police" in rainbow colors while the words below it were in purple that read "Because Crime Is No Laughing Matter" Eda was tied up around the arms in glowing yellow clothe with a yellow bow tie on the front. Maxwell's clone was sitting next to her but wasn't tied up.
They were at a small table where the carnival boss sat in front of them. The carnival boss was a middle aged male dressed like a clown. He had green hair on the sides of his head, a green mustache with a red nose, wore a red bow tie, a dark brown shirt with purple and yellow lined pants, big red clown shoes and he had a stern look upon his face.
"Just when I thought I couldn't respect the law any less it surprises me." said Eda annoyed.
"So, I hear you're running scams at my carnival? That's my job. And I take my job very seriously." said the carnival boss.
"Sorry to say this sir but it's hard to take man seriously when they're dressed like a clown." said Maxwell's clone trying to polite.
"It's just a uniform, same can be said for those dressed worse than a clown at anything similar." explained the carnival boss. "Besides, my clown guard, I can't believe this kid, whose smaller than him, took him down like that."
"He should be taught it's impolite to hit a lady, especially laying their hands on a woman." Maxwell's clone argued.
"Did you have to kick him in the balls?" asked the carnival boss.
Eda and Maxwell's clone burst out laughing a bit with a grin from the very mentioning of how Maxwell's clone took down the clown guard as they made up a funny song about the self defense attack that Maxwell's clone used.
"The carnival came to town and hired a cop to be a clown, so he took on a kid, that was his worst bid. And one kick to his crotch had the tough clown go down"
Both Eda and Maxwell's clone laughed at their own joke while the carnival clown groaned in annoyance.
"They always make the jokes." said the carnival boss annoyed.
"Oh come on, that's funny. One kick to his crotch and he's like clown down." joked Eda.
"He should've worn an athletic cup." joked Maxwell's clone.
Eda laughed a bit harder for a minute while the carnival boss was not looking amused. After Eda and Maxwell's clone calmed themselves and stopped laughing and joking, they gave their attention to the carnival boss.
"He's yours?" asked the carnival boss.
"Yes! Yes he is." Eda admitted.
He looked at both of them with a slight wide eyed surprised reaction. Did they just admit to him that they're together? As in romantically involved? He had no idea as he assumed that or he assumed the two were parent and child. He didn't know which to assume.
"What ever goes on between the two of you is none of my business." said the carnival boss. "Before I get down to business, how did the kid take down my guard with very little effort? A kick to his...you know where, can't be all that takes him down. He was huge."
"They don't call them steel toed boots for nothing, sir." explained Maxwell's clone. "Also, before you do anything else."
Maxwell's clone suddenly formed a fist and three adamantium claws formed from his knuckles, each one being a foot long, he used them to cut the clothe that had Eda tied up, freeing her as she had use of her hands and arms now. Eda looked at her hands and arms and saw no cuts and felt no pain, she didn't get cut, which was good. Maxwell's clone retracted the three sharp claws into his body as where the claws came out from him, the whole hand fully healed up instantly as a result of his powerful regenerative ability known as a healing factor was responsible for his hand not having any wounds and no sign of blood. This left both Eda to feel relieved a bit and the carnival boss shocked.
"But." the man began.
"So tell me, big boss. What is our options?" asked Maxwell's clone.
The man wanted to protest but he sensed that the boy was not someone he wanted to mess with. He let out a sigh.
"Since I'm a forgiving demon, I'll give you two options. I can pass you along to the Emperor's Coven and we'll throw you in the Conformatorium, or you can scam for me." explained the man pointing at something.
They turned to see that the man pointed at a clown costume for women. It was a female clown dress that purple from the waist up while purple and red on the bottom, the torso part had purple and yellow lines while it had a purple top hat with an eye picture painted on. They knew that there was two option but neither liked those options. Maxwell's clone popped his neck and had a disapproving look that he directed at the carnival boss.
"Bozo, tell me, how much will it be to forget this ever happen?" asked Eda.
"Ten thousand snails." answered the carnival boss.
They were wide eyed. That amount of money to pay off a fine for something as little as not having a permit for a stand was something that they were not expecting.
"Ten thousand snails!" snapped Eda.
"Jaywalkers fined for less than that!" snapped Maxwell's clone.
"If debt can't be paid up one way, than the other option is still open." suggested the carnival boss. "Look, I don't want to put you and your kid through this because an adult taking care of a kid and the kid looking after their care taker, parent or legal guardian, however you call it, I know it's tough for ether one."
"Eda!" came a girls voice.
Both Eda, Maxwell's clone and the carnival boss turned to see both Luz, King, Willow and Gus running inside the building they were in. They looked worried as if panicked.
"Are they with you too, ma'am?" asked the carnival boss.
"Luz, what's got you so freaked out?" asked Eda looking curious.
"Maxie went to use the bathroom, said he'd meet us at the snack bar but that was an hour ago." answered Luz.
"We kept looking for him but haven't found him." said King.
Eda was now wide eyed, she got up on her feet and felt her mother bear instincts kicking in.
"Where did you last see him?" asked Eda.
"The mechanical griffin ride." answered Gus.
Eda was now feeling her heart race with worry. Maxwell disappeared an hour ago, the kids tried to look for him but no luck. Eda turned to the carnival boss with a look of disgust.
"Hey bozo, forget about the debt, we have a lost child situation." said Eda.
"Now wait a minute! I know that this is serious but someone has to be here to make sure you and the boy don't do anything funny." said the carnival boss.
Eda felt a fit of rage kick inside her as she grabbed the carnival boss by the front of his shirt and pulled him close to face her. She had an angry expression.
"You listen to me, bub! One of my own is missing at your carnival and he could be kidnapped for all we know. You're going to forget this debt and help me find my missing young man or you got two choices, ether lose your job and get arrested for a child being a victim of a madman's torture that you're responsible for and no one will ever come to your crummy carnival ever again out of fear of one losing their child because of you! Or you can deal with my wrath for leading one of my own to his doom because you and your team of bozos with cotton candy for brains couldn't keep one of your slinky googly eyes out for the possible threat of some deranged, sick, child hurting, psycho that became the reason why one of my own became their next victim and I shove a sword up your fat butthole as punishment. You really want to lose your job that way or have to deal with me, huh bub?" Eda ranted at him.
The look on the carnival boss's face showed it shifted from shock to terror. He knew that Eda was serious from the hostility coming from her and he felt like if he wasn't terrified now, he'd be in for two types of scary horror film situations. He didn't want to lose his job or get arrested and he didn't want Eda to tear him a new one. He became submissive and relented.
"What do you want me to do first?" gulped the carnival boss.
"Help me find my baby boy!" said Eda popping her neck.
"Wait, I can track him." Maxwell's clone chimed in.
They turned to the clone and saw him reach behind his neck and tapped it three times. They saw the clone's eyes turn completely gold and it looked like he was listening for something.
"I can track him to where he is. He's not too far away, but he's being forced against his will by a short male pig demon that wears round glasses and a suit and tie." said Maxwell's clone.
They all heard the description of the captor and they immediately knew who it was.
"Tibbles!" they all said in unison.
"I'm going with you. This is also my responsibility." said the carnival boss.
Eda, King, Luz, Willow, Gus, the carnival boss and Maxwell's clone left to find the actual Maxwell. The clone lead the way as he was tracking Maxwell not by sent but he was tracking him ether by brainwave activity or by telepathic connection of his mind.
"Isn't this kid Maxie, ma'am?" asked the carnival boss.
"That's his shadow duplicate." answered Eda.
"This kid can do magical clones!" said the carnival boss surprised. "Again, none of my business."
They followed the clone but he shown to go down one direction that lead to a big circus tent that had a lot of cheering going on and a loud lion like roar. They walked inside the tent and there was at least a lot of people sitting down to see what performance was being seen. There were at least over a few thousands of people while there, the gang saw what looked like a big ring where Tibbles was using a lion tamers whip and they saw a shocking sight.
There, they saw Tibbles using that whip on Maxwell which everytime he whipped him, it left a long red scratch on him which would heal up instantly. His shirt was missing but he was wearing his pants, shoes and socks while they could see his muscular body and the old scars upon his body that his own father left on him. Tibbles was looking angry while Maxwell was looking tired like he was beaten, battered and bruised. Maxwell was on one knee, sweating and panting.
"Get up, you stupid monkey and shape shift into the mightiest of creatures for them!" yelled Tibbles.
"I...can't. So...tired." panted Maxwell.
"Get up and do as I say or I'm going to tell everyone you hit women and cheat on your own woman!" threatened Tibbles.
Maxwell looked up at Tibbles as he had a look of fear on his face.
"They'll know you're a liar!" argued Maxwell.
Tibbles pulled out a remote that had a red button on it and pushed it. What happened next was enough to make Eda feel like she could turn into an angry beast. Once the button was pushed, static electricity emitted from Maxwell's neck as it looked like he had an invisible shock collar on him. This made him yelled in pain while making the sounds of an elephant trumpeting it's trunk. Maxwell's face forced to shape shift to look like he briefly had his ears form to be huge and wide like elephants ears, his nose becoming long and huge, the skin on his face turning grey and his face forming to have elephant like features. But after the shocks of static stopped, his face turned back into it's normal form.
"Come on, get that dumb kid to turn into something cool!" called one of the people from the seats.
As Maxwell looked so tired and looked so physically beaten. That's when Eda grabbed a discarded soda can and tossed it at the person who insulted her love interest and the can luckily hit the one that insulted Maxwell.
"Hey Tibbles!" came Eda's angry voice.
Eda and the kids came closer to see Maxwell and Maxwell looked up to see them. He felt a sense of hope rising inside him as a hidden strength was giving him the energy the stand.
"Eda!" called Maxwell.
Tibbles pushed the button again and the static electricity around his neck sent shock waves of pain in Maxwell's neck and parts of his body, he groaned in pain.
"Tibbles, you monstrous, greedy pig! Give me back my man and let him go! Show is over!" Eda spat.
Tibbles laughed and shook his head.
"Too late to repair the damages. My way of life is over because of you!" said Tibbles smugly.
"Only because you wanted to bleed her dry of her money when she needed the elixir she ran out of and you took advantage of her, hustled her, tried to take more from her. The whole thing was lead to an accident. It's not her fault that you're a greedy pi-ahhhhhhhhhh!" Maxwell was cut off.
"You shut your mouth, dumb monkey!" shouted Tibbles.
"Hey! You can't talk to him like that!" argued Eda.
"What's he gonna do about it? He can't beat anyone without using his power or without help from his friends who constantly shelter him like a frightened little baby whose afraid of the dark!" Tibbles insulted. "Admit it!"
"There's a difference between unconditional love and abuse!" Luz chimed in.
"Tibbles! This is not entertainment, this is child abuse, child endangerment, torture and exploitation! Stop this madness right now!" came the carnival boss.
The carnival boss was going over to stop Tibbles as he made his way to the ring but before Maxwell would stop him, he was about to step into the ring but a purple force field appeared around the ring and the carnival boss got a big dose of electrical shocks, causing him to scream. The force field was like a barrier. The carnival boss let go of the force field and he was no longer being shocked. He looked dizzy but sat down on the ground near it as he tried to rest off any pain.
"You bastard, Tibbles!" shouted the carnival boss.
Eda and the kids saw that the force field had been electrified like an electric fence.
"No one can get in or out of this force field. It's electrified." said Tibbles looking smug.
Without any other way of trying to get to Maxwell to help him, they didn't know what to do. The only thing they could do was suggest something verbally for Maxwell to do but they knew that in the state that the young boy is in, he desperately needed someone to physically help him and do something about Tibbles who apparently had done some physical and psychological harm towards Maxwell if this had been going on for an hour or more. Eda was enraged.
"Tibbles, let my man out, when I get my hands on you for what you're doing to my own!" threatened Eda.
"And what are you going to do about this? No one can get in, they'll be electrified and burned like barbecued meat." Tibbles argued. "I might let him out if you give me back what you've taken from me. Or you can kiss my twerking fanny."
Tibbles laughed in a mocking tone while shaking his plump butt at Eda to taunt her, causing her to growl in anger.
"Why would anyone care about this human? He's a stupid little monkey, cry baby, who could ever love such a bratty child? His own daddy didn't want him, I'll bet his mommy didn't want him ether!" Tibbles insulted.
Eda, Luz, King, Willow and Gus were now feeling rage towards Tibbles as his insults were not only hurtful towards poor Maxwell but also them insults were not true. Maxwell began to shed tears as he shook his head.
"That's it! You know none of that is true! You don't know the real truth about my man!" yelled Eda starting to form a huge red ball of fire in one of her hands.
Eda tried tossing one large ball of fire at the force field after the other but the balls of fire ether disappeared on contact to the force field or turned to smoke, having no affect or damage to the barrier. Tibbles laughed at her failed attempts to rescue Maxwell.
"You're wasting your time, nothing can get in or out!" cried Tibbles.
"Let him out, right now!" Eda and the kids demanded.
"His mother loved him a lot!" King defended.
"You have no idea what pain his father did to him!" Luz chimed in.
"If you want him to be free so badly, than fine!" said Tibbles looking like he was relenting.
Tibbles pulled out another remote control that he pushed the button on and it let a small opening to show itself. Maxwell couldn't believe his eyes but to Eda, something didn't look right.
"Hey monkey! You want to leave, don't you, well there you go, the exit!" taunted Tibbles.
Out of desperation, Maxwell made his way to the opening but as soon as he got within walking distance of the opening, that's when Tibbles pushed the button again and the opening sealed itself shut, trapping the poor boy inside. Tibbles laughed at Maxwell's shocked disbelief.
"Ha ha ha! You fell for it again! You were so easy to trick when I was in disguise as that womanly clown. Knocking you out was so easy. I can't believe that slut in the red dress has feelings for such a lower life form like you! You're nothing but a stupid country bumpkin, a country dumpkin who was created by the lord himself to suffer because you're so ugly!" snapped Tibbles.
Now Tibbles had gone too far. Eda felt insulted by Tibbles remark and so was Maxwell. Tibbles just insulted Eda, Maxwell, insulted Maxwell's roots, made false claims of Maxwell and his life and he just spoke blasphemy. Maxwell felt a great rage kick into him. He turned to face Tibbles with a look of rage.
"You called me a what!" Eda cried rhetorically.
"You called me and Eda a what? What you said is blasphemy!" shouted Maxwell.
"And what's your God going to do about it? Smite me? Go ahead, smite me!" mocked Tibbles. "Oh wait, he can't, because he doesn't exist!"
Maxwell didn't like it when someone spoke this way about him, his woman, his mom, he didn't like anyone else to talk about his dad because despite the fact his dad and him never got along, he felt like what went on between him and his dad was no stranger's business but his own, but what got him angry was Tibbles blasphemous words against the lord. He was about to run towards Tibbles is anger but Tibbles pushed the button to make the electricity around his neck shock him, causing him to scream in pain.
"Suffer, you stupid, ugly creature!" mocked Tibbles. "Where's your God now?"
Maxwell tried to fight the pain of the electricity flowing through him but suddenly, something kicked into him, a big amount of strength that came from inside him and he reached behind him and managed to reach out, pull something off the back of his neck and afterwards, the electric shocks to his body stopped. He held up a small slip of paper that had a glyph drawn on it.
"A shock collar spell glyph from the elemental coven!" cried Maxwell.
Everyone suddenly gasped in horror as they saw and heard this. Maxwell took the glyph on the paper and tore it up into pieces. Now everyone knew how Tibbles was shocking him.
"That glyph is illegal!" said some girls from the seats.
"You used a shock collar spell glyph on my man? They made that illegal on animals and people!" called Eda.
"Everyone was having fun when this was going on!" argued Tibbles.
"Child abuse isn't entertaining, that's just cruel, man!" said a male from the seats.
They started to chant "let him go" as a way of protesting against Tibbles and his actions. Tibbles was angry about this but he turned his attention to Maxwell.
"It's over Tibbles, let my man go, now!" Eda demanded.
"That's not gonna happen. You took something from me, twice, now I'm going to take away something you can't live without. Besides, he can't defeat me without his power or without help from someone!" mocked Tibbles.
Maxwell's rage was at an all time high as he let out his most powerful lion like roar and Tibbles looked a bit terrified by the sound and sight of this.
"You are nothing but a vengeful, capitalist pig! No man talks like that about a woman, especially my woman! My own mother loved me and you have no right to say anything bad about my mother, what happened between me and my mom is none of your business. You were in disguise to fool me, than you knocked me out, forced me to be your performing freak show, used a shock collar spell glyph on me if I resisted, bad mouthed me, my woman, the most beautiful woman in the world, you bad mouthed my mother and my life, you threatened to spread lies about me. No one takes the Lord God's name in vain!" ranted Maxwell.
Tibbles heard this and he suddenly had an evil idea in mind as he pulled out a small vial of liquid. He grinned evilly.
"We'll see about that!" spat Tibbles.
Tibbles popped the cork off the vial, pressed it to his lips and guzzled it down. He tossed the vial away and suddenly began to grow larger and larger, he grew muscular but he grew to be so tall that he reached to be at least nine feet tall, laughing at Maxwell now. Everyone was shocked to see this. Maxwell couldn't believe his eyes.
"Try and fight me now without using your power. People who send a boy to fight a man is pathetic!" said Tibbles looking smug.
Maxwell popped his neck as his fear turned to rage and he had no emotion on his face.
"Yeah, that's right, I may be young but I'll drop you where you stand." cried Maxwell. "I stand by the power of the Mighty One and I'm going after him!"
When Maxwell referred to "Him" he pointed at Tibbles and started to feel a great power from within. Tibbles thought that Maxwell couldn't defeat him or anyone without using his power or without someone coming to help him. But Maxwell had an idea of sorts to prove Tibbles wrong.
"I don't need magic to defeat you!" cried Maxwell.
Tibbles went after Maxwell and tried to grab Maxwell but he dodged Tibbles moves. Maxwell was fast on his feet, even without using his power.
"Nobody's gonna go about scaring God's people, no one is going to take the Lord God's name in vain, I will not let them talk bad about my mother, my woman, or anyone I care about, especially not you!" said Maxwell filled with immense power.
"Hold still, you little brat!" cried Tibbles.
Tibbles almost got a hold of Maxwell but he dodged his hands and dodged his pig like feet when ever Tibbles tried to curve stomp him into the ground. Maxwell suddenly had an idea as he dodged another one of Tibbles attempts to grab him. He ran a good distance from him and saw what looked like some smooth stones from the ground, he took hold of them and pulled out what looked like a sock from his left pocket. Tibbles wondered what Maxwell was about to do.
"You can't beat me without use of your power, you can't beat anyone without someone helping you, you're nothing be a terrified, thumb-sucking, mama's boy, cry baby!" Tibbles insulted.
Maxwell placed the smooth stones into the sock he had and he raised it above his head and whirled with it above his head as Tibbles saw this, he didn't know how to react to this but a smile formed on Eda, King, Luz, Willow and Gus's faces as they remembered the bible story that Maxwell told them about.
"Knock him on his fat hiney, Maxie! Sling, bang, boom!" cheered Eda.
Maxwell rapidly whirled the sock full of stones and in one powerful swing, he tossed it forwards and the sock ripped open, sending the stones towards Tibbles and the biggest of the stones hit Tibbles on his forehead, causing him to stumble over and he fell over, his head hitting the force field and causing the shock waves to emit and his entire body was receiving painful electric shocks as he screamed.
"Looks like someone is in for a shock!" joked King.
Tibbles felt the affects of his potion wear off instantly and he shrank back to this original size, fell from nine feet and it was like gravity intervened as the remote controls that Tibbles had fell and landed where he fell as he landed on the ground, both of the remote controls smashing to pieces from underneath him. The force field had finally started to glow a gold light and disappeared in a puff of gold smoke that dissipated instantly. A smile formed on Maxwell's face.
"The lord wins again! Hey Tibbles, what was that you was saying big shot?" said Maxwell feeling victorious.
As Maxwell snapped his fingers and placed them on his body, his body briefly glowed but the result of it had the sweat from his body instantly dry off. The audience there applauded for him, cheered for him as Eda, King, Luz, Willow, Gus and Maxwell's clone. His clone was the first to reach him and once his clone took hold of Maxwell's hand, his clone disappeared in a puff of smoke and his magical clone became part of him again.
Maxwell saw the memories of his clone being by Eda's side when both him, Luz, King, Willow and Gus went off to have fun at the carnival. He saw the memories in his head and he saw his clone take down a clown guard just by kicking him in his crotch, but also saw the talk that both his clone and Eda had with the carnival boss, than how Luz and her friends made it to Eda, informed her of his absence and how they located him. Seeing how Eda ranted at the carnival boss and scare him into forgetting the debt and helping them find him had him feeling that same romantic feeling that he feels for Eda.
Maxwell smiled as he jumped for joy that he defeated Tibbles without using his power, without anyone helping him and proved the blasphemous pig demon wrong.
"I did it! Glory to God! I did it!" cheered Maxwell.
The next to reach Maxwell was Eda, she embraced him in both her arms and hugged him, kissing him rapidly all over his face, leaving red lipstick marks on his face. She planted her big, soft, full lips to his in a deep and passionate kiss. He kissed her back as the audience was shocked to see this at first.
"Whoa mama!" the audience uttered in surprise.
The audience was at first shocked to see this but were quickly brought in from the sweet sight of both Eda and Maxwell kissing, a beautiful couple having a romantic kiss together. As they embraced each other, both Luz, King, Willow and Gus were blushing with a grin. The two eventually pulled their lips from each other.
"Yes! That's my boy! That's my mighty lion!" cheered Eda.
As Eda hugged Maxwell, so did Luz, King, Willow and Gus. They embraced each other in a group hug for a while and eventually pulled their arms from each other.
"Luz, you, King, Willow and Gus check to see if the man with you is alright!" Maxwell instructed.
They nodded and went to the carnival boss to check on his state and he shown to be alright and conscious. Maxwell and Eda turned to see Tibbles getting up, the little pig demon was up and he was rubbing his head where the stone hit him.
"Ow! That hurt." groaned Tibbles. "You foiled my plans. You will pay for this!"
"I don't think so, Tibblet-Tibblie Grimm Hammer the Third! It's just like what the most beautiful woman has said: That's not how entertainment works. The bad guy always gets his just desserts." Maxwell stated quoting Eda.
Tibbles looked at Maxwell and was showing annoyance.
"What are you going to do? Knock me out?" Tibbles said sarcastically.
"Tibbles!" came an angry male's voice.
Tibbles turned to see the carnival boss, he sees the tall man dressed in a clown outfit, his hair was out of place, looking like he had a serious case of bed head, parts of his uniform was singed, his bow tie was hanging from his neck to the left, and he looked really irate with Tibbles. Tibbles smiled nervously.
"Oh no." said Tibbles showing a tinge of fear.
"I'm going to have you charged for what you did to an innocent kid, than after I'm done brutally giving you the worst punishment ever, you're fired!" yelled the carnival boss. "Eda, you and the young man's debt is cleared!"
Tibbles took off and ran as the carnival boss took off after Tibbles, enraged and possibly going to give him a personal smack down, the carnival boss ran after Tibbles in a fit of rage.
"Tibbles, I'm personally going to kick your little ass!" cried the carnival boss chasing after Tibbles.
Luz, King, Willow and Gus came back to Maxwell and Eda while Eda looked at the audience, she shot them a cold look so scary that some of the audience members were probably going to have an accident in their pants from this. The audience knew that Eda was giving them a warning look if any of them were to say or do anything that hurts her own. They immediately got the message and felt fear of Eda's wrath. The entire audience quickly left the tent and ran from fear of Eda's wrath. Once she faced the kids, her hostile expression changed while the audience went on about chatting among themselves.
"Maxie, you feeling alright? Tibbles, you know, hurt you physically or do anything to you that is considered inappropriate?" asked Luz looking worried.
Maxwell looked at Luz and had a worried look on his face as well.
"He disguised himself as a clown, tricked me to tell him about my mom and my dad, he used a knock out spell on me that can be simply used by breathing on someone, he placed a shock collar spell glyph from the elemental coven on me if I refused to do anything he wanted, had me perform for an hour or more, but he did use a whip on me. He kept doing this to me even when I was too tired to continue, he threatened to spread lies about me if I didn't do as he said. The audience thought it was all an act or that it was all fake. But now it looks like they found out the act was the listed crimes that the man said and I saw that look Eda gave the audience, I think one of them wet their pants." explained Maxwell as he acknowledged Eda giving the audience a warning death glare.
Eda planted a kiss to Maxwell's cheeks, even Luz kissed him on his cheeks. This got Maxwell to smile and blush a bit.
"Well, at least he can't hurt you no more." said Luz relieved.
Maxwell smiled but blushed as he knew he was without a shirt on.
"Anyone of you got a spare shirt? Tibbles burned the one I was wearing." asked Maxwell.
Eda traced a circle in the air and she pulled out what looked like one of Maxwell's shirts. This one shirt was a green camouflage T-shirt. As Eda handed it to him, that's when Maxwell took his shirt and placed it on easily.
"Thank you, Eda." said Maxwell feeling better.
"Anything for my boy." said Eda. "I'm sorry you went through such torment from Tibbles."
"Well, we at least proved him wrong. No one talks bad about my mother, my friends, the lord, and no one talks bad about the most beautiful lady in the world." said Maxwell looking reassured.
They felt proud that Maxwell would stick up for them if someone talked bad about them or if anyone tried to harm them. Eda blushed and smiled as she kissed him one more time on the lips as Maxwell kissed her back. After the kiss, they both smiled.
"Maxie, I got to confess. Even though you're going to school with Luz, I got to confess, I miss you and Luz, even though you come back after school, I may not admit it but even the King of demons misses those he cares about." confessed King.
Maxie reached out and picked up King in his strong arms while both of them hugged each other.
"King, if it makes you feel better, I feel the same way with you and Eda when ever I go to school for a day." confessed Maxwell.
King felt at ease as he heard Maxwell felt the same about him when ever he would be at school. King made a funny face and made Maxwell laugh.
"Well, we still have a few hours of carnival left. Wanna hit those bumper carcasses?" asked King.
"What ride is that? Sounds like fun." asked Maxwell.
"Don't worry, Maxie. It's a ride that's just as fun as the mechanical griffin." said Luz patting him on the back.
Maxwell felt a huge rush of excitement and the kids were liking the sounds of the idea.
"This cowboy is ready for another ride!" said Maxwell excitedly.
"Yeehaaaw!" the kids said excitedly in unison.
"You coming, Eda?" asked Luz looking back.
Eda was laying on a big pile of money in winnings and from the money that the audience paid from the show. She had a pleased looked on her face.
"Nah. I think I got everything I wanted. Yep. Another great year at the carnival." said Eda pleased. "But keep an eye on each other, no one goes anywhere alone."
As Luz, King, Willow and Gus took Maxwell to have more fun at the carnival, they went on a few more fun rides, played a few more fun games and even if they would eat something good, they made sure Maxwell didn't eat big bites of sweets to try and avoid the sugar rush. Maxwell felt better as he was safe with his friends and his love. Tibbles was defeated once again, they showed Maxwell a good time at the carnival for the rest of the time the carnival was there, and Maxwell's first time at the carnival turned out to be really fun, a time he'd never forget.
Somewhere at Hexside, the teachers, the staff and even Principle Bump were taking care of the problem that they've been handling which was the reason why school was cancelled. They were still taking care of the pixie infestation.
"These pixie's are a pain in the ass!" groaned one of the staff members.
"I really need to make the kids not bring animals or creatures of any sort to this school. Just like how we shouldn't bring pets to school unless they're using them to sniff out drugs that anyone has on them." groaned Principle Bump.
