"Dad!"

Ana ran from the front door to where her dad was standing with his duffel bag. He was in the circular driveway and he smiled broadly when he saw his daughter running to him. He hugged her tightly. Ana giggled when he kissed her cheek.

"Hey, Annie."

"Dad," she said again before pulling back and looking up into her father's kind eyes. She didn't realize how much she missed him until she was able to hug him again. She enjoyed the smell of tobacco and sandalwood on his clothes and skin. That always reminded her of home. Her father taller than her, and much broader always felt bigger than life to her. With him being a guardian, it made all the sense in the world, and she was happy that the fates blessed her with a dad such as him.

"How was your trip?" she asked as he released her and bent slightly to grab his bag. He grunted his answer.

"That lovely, huh?" she asked in amusement. His mouth quirked up a bit at the corner.

"It was alright. You know how much I hate to fly. But, it was the quickest way to get to you, so I figured I better buck up and book the United flight."

"You could've chosen Frontier. I hear they are cheaper."

He turned and looked at her as if she'd grown another head.

"Annie. I'm a classy man. I prefer not to fly with the same people who allow comfort squirrels on the plane. I have my limits," he stated. Ray whistled the closer they got to the entrance.

"This is some fancy property. You said he was a werewolf right?"

"Right," Ana said watching her father's face.

"What is it?" she asked.

"Oh, it just looks like Dracula lives here," he joked, causing her to roll her eyes.

"Anyway, his family will be here later on this evening for dinner. Teddy is inside and I know he's dying to meet you," she said in excitement."

"Huh. How is the book writing coming by the way?" Ana sighed.

"It's coming. I came to a road-block but I'll get past it," she said before opening the door.

"Teddy!" She called out. They both heard rapid footsteps coming from the back of the house and Ana grinned at her dad.

"You'll love him, dad."

Suddenly, Teddy appeared and was grinning up at Ana before raising his arms.

"Ana!" he shouted. She giggled before picking him up.

"Hey, Teddy," she said before kissing his cheek. "This is my dad. Dad, this is Teddy," she introduced informally. Teddy grinned at her, instantly feeling at ease.

"Your Ana's daddy?" he asked. Ray grinned.

"I am."

"Cool. Do you know how to play legos?" he asked. Ray chuckled.

"I do young man. I even brought some stuff," Ray winked before opening his bag. Teddy's eyes widened in shock when Ray pulled out the latest action figure.

"Woah! That's Raptor man!"

"It is!" Ana set Teddy on the floor and she watched as he snatched the box from Ray's hand.

"What do we say, Teddy?"

"Thank you!" he shouted. Teddy turned and was about to leave when he glanced up at Ana.

"May I go play in the living room, Ana?"

She nodded.

"Yes." And just like that, he was gone. Ray shook his head.

"He seems like a handful," he said wryly. Ana smirked.

"You have no idea. Let me introduce you to the rest of the staff," Ana said walking ahead of him. Ray noticed that his daughter walked with ease through the house. She smiled at housekeepers who smiled back, and he noticed that everyone seemed to like his Annie. The atmosphere was very warm in the house, and although it was filled with were-wolves and were-creatures, he was pleased to see his Annie was fitting in perfectly. When they finally got to the kitchen Ana beamed.

"And this is Gail. She basically is the house manager and chef. She is wonderful. Gail, this is my father, Ray," Ana introduced. The woman smiled before offering her hand. Ana as a seer and guardian weren't as prevalent until she stood beside her father, who seemed to exude a calm authority, and protection.
"It's such an honor to meet you, sir. We love having Ana here. Teddy is doing wonderful since she came. If you need anything, please let me know," she said softly. Ray smiled at the beautiful woman.

"Thank you. I will," he added easily. Sawyer appeared, and after their introductions were made, Ana grabbed her dad's hand.

"Let me take you to your room. It's right beside mine," she said pulling him in the direction of the stairs. On the way they saw Teddy still in the living room, however, he stood and ran behind them silently following at Ana's heels. Ray smiled at the little boy so enamored with his daughter. Ray still hadn't met this Christian guy but based on what he'd already seen so far, he knew his daughter was safe with the Greys. When they arrived at his room, Teddy jumped upon his bed, while the two spoke.

"Everything you need is in here, dad. The bathroom is also in this room right behind you."

"Good. I'm going to take a nap."

"Good. dinner isn't until seven. Everyone will be here around six."

"Good." Ray leaned over and kissed Ana's cheek.

"I'm glad to see you, Annie."

She smiled.

"I'm glad you're here, dad." Ana turned to Teddy, holding out her hand. "Come on, Teddy. We've got some homework to review."

"Okay," he said before hopping off the bed and grabbing her hand. When the two left, Ray made sure the invisible guards were up, pleased to see his daughter had put the necessary blocks in place. He was concerned however with this Jack man she told him about. He would make it a point to bring it up to Christian later this evening.

Christian was nervous.

He'd never been truly nervous with anything in his life. Being the son of the Alpha, and then an Alpha himself had always given him this automatic confidence in most tense situations. However, meeting Ana's father, one of the guardians, and powerful beings in their world was something to really think about. His family was already at the house when he arrived, and Christian smiled when he saw Ana waiting for him in front outside. When he stepped out of the car with Taylor, Ana smiled at the two men.

"Gentlemen," she said easily. When they returned her greeting, Ana smiled at Taylor.

"Gail has been asking for you." Taylor blushed a bit before nodding and walking around the house to the back entrance. Gail was always in the kitchen so he knew to search there first. When it was just the two of them, Ana wrapped her arms around his neck.

"How are you, Christian?" she asked softly. Christian ran his hands up and down her back before kissing her lips softly.

"I am better now that you're here. How is Teddy?" Christian asked. Ana smiled before standing on her toes to kiss his cheek.

"He is good. Always trying to find a way out of his homework, but what's new," she joked. He chuckled before kissing her lips once more.

"My family is already here?" he asked. Ana nodded and moaned when he cupped her butt in his large hands.

"Last night was perfect," he whispered against her skin. Ana nodded against his neck.

"It was. Too bad it won't be happening for another week," she said lightly. Christian head snapped back as if he'd been slapped.

"Excuse me?" he said shock in his voice. Ana laughed.

"My father's room is right beside mine so there won't be any of last night happening tonight." When Christian whined, it amused Ana at how much he sounded like Teddy. When he squeezed her tighter she laughed loudly, even as his eyes turned a dark shade of pink. Ana couldn't stop laughing when her feet were off the ground and when he gave her a slight spin before kissing her lips once more. She sighed when he pulled away.

"Still no?"

She giggled before shaking her head.

"Still no," she answered. Christian gave a long-suffering sigh before kissing her once more. They were so wrapped up in one another, they failed to pay attention to the eyes watching the couple from the woods.

"Mr. Steele, it's a pleasure to meet you," Christian said holding out his hand. Ray gave Christian a once over in front of Christian's own family before he shook it.

"So you're Christian, huh?" he questioned raising a brow. Ana looked at her dad before rolling her eyes. Carrick, Grace, And Elliott looked amused, and Kate was grinning. Everyone was seated in the living room when the two came from outside, and Christian immediately sobered realizing that they probably heard the two outside.

"The one and only," Christian stated, trying to ignore the glare Ray was sending him. Ana hit her had lightly on the arm.

"Dad," she warned, to which he snorted.

"Christian, if you have a moment, I'd like to talk some things over with you," Ray said seriously.

"Of course," Christian answered quickly. Ray continued sizing up the Alpha king and Christian was stunned to feel the man's power trying to contain his wolf. Christian glared right back, and his eyes turned a deep yellow. Ray looked pleased to see the anger come out of him quickly.

"Very good," he said before stepping away. Carrick looked impressed as did Elliott. Grace and Kate rolled their eyes at all the male posturing. Gail suddenly entered the room.

"Dinner is served," she said smile on her face. Elliott and Teddy cheered and followed behind the woman, while the others followed suit.

Once they were all seated around the table, Teddy began to speak.

"I was wondering if I could have a puppy because Jason has one, and so does Reggie."

"Yes!"

"No!"

Ana and Christian both answered at the same time. Elliott settled back in his chair smirking at his own wife. Thankfully his children were staying with Kate's parents for the weekend, so he could fully pay attention to the trap his brother was walking into. He decided to egg it on.

"Christian, I think Teddy having a puppy would be a good idea!" he said. He saw his nephew beam at him, and his brother glare daggers at him. Christian turned to Ana who smoothed Teddy's hair down and plated some more vegetables on his plate.

"But I don't want any more broccoli, Ana," he whined.

"Hush, Teddy. I let you have a bag of chips earlier, so you have to eat broccoli now with your chicken for dinner."

"But-"

"Do you want a chocolate chip cookie or not for dessert?" she questioned, raising a brow. Teddy's eyes widened before h grabbed his fork and began shoveling the greenery in his mouth. Carrick chuckled.

"Most werewolf children hate vegetables. They only like fruit and meat," Carrick answered.

"Yeah, I'm learning that," Ana said dryly. Ray watched in amusement as the little boy kept glancing at the chicken legs on the table and at his own plate. Christian however was absolutely stunned how his answer was once again disregarded.

"Ana, Teddy doesn't need a puppy right now."

"And why not? It'll teach him responsibility, and he can have another play mate when his friends aren't here. Plus, he can meet more friends. Oh! We can even take him to the dog park. Wouldn't that be fun, Teddy?" She asked. The boy was brimming with excitement.

"Yeah!"

Before Christian could get a word in Ana turned to him and grabbed his hand in front of everyone present.

"Please, Christian? Teddy will be a good boy and I'll make sure his homework is completed, and everything."

"Being a good boy is a bit of a stretch," Christian stated glancing over at his sheepish looking son trying and failing to sneak another piece of chicken on his plate.

"Don't you want him to have a full childhood?"

"Do you want the dog, or does Teddy?" Ana leaned over and kissed his cheek. Christian swore under his breath, Grace giggled, and Kate cheered her on.

"Please, Christian. The puppy won't be in anyone's way," she said. Christian sighed, knowing he was losing the battle when Teddy turned his big eyes on him as well. He glanced up noting that his parents and even Elliott were silently encouraging him.

"It's fine," he said much to the cheers of Ana and Teddy. "But," he said holding up a finger.

"Teddy has to promise me to take care of it."
"I will!" he said loudly. When he returned to his food, Ana smiled at him and kissed his cheek once more before turning her attention back to Teddy who was munching away his dinner. When Grace drew Ana into a conversation, Christian's eyes stayed locked on hers. He was so focused, he barely paid attention to Ray who was glancing at Christian with a calm and happy expression.

After dinner, Christian's family headed home, and Ana took Teddy upstairs for his bath and bed. It left Ray and Christian alone to talk in his office. As soon as the door shut, Ray spoke.

"You're probably wondering why I wanted to talk to you," Ray started. Christian leaned against his desk, arms crossed over his chest before giving a slight nod.

"I have an idea."

"Well good. This should come as no surprise then when I ask what are your intentions with my daughter."
Christian smiled.

"To marry her of course."

Ray's eyes widened in surprise. He never expected the man to say it so soon. Noticing his expression, Christian chuckled.

"You didn't think I'd say that so soon, huh? Well, that is what I want. I love her, and I want to marry her. God willing, I'd love to have more kids with her. I love your daughter very much sir, but I also know that Ana is an independent woman who decides her own fate. That is why I am patiently waiting for her to accept all of me."

Ray had to say he was impressed. He understood his Annie, and his tactics would be very successful because Ana was a head-strong woman.

It was in her DNA.

"I hope you will accept me as your son in law."

"And if I didn't?" Ray countered.

"I'd still marry her. Because I love her. And at the end of the day, the two people who are getting married have to love and want to be with one another. Nothing else matters."

Ray faced him, mimicking his own stance.

"Some would say that you are looking for a full-time nanny."

"And I would tell them to go to hell," he said firmly. "I've had nannies, and help with my son. If I wanted to, I could hire someone to watch Teddy, and still pursue Ana. but, it turns out, I fell in love with her through Teddy. I only want your daughter, Ray nothing else."

Ray pondered his words for a moment before speaking.

"She is a seer and guardian. I have protected her and trained her my whole life, Christian. Our kind is practically extinct. Between myself and Ana, there are only three more in the world. Apart from your family, it cannot get out that she is both. She will be hunted and bargained with."

"Is that why her scent is undetectable? Practically human?" Christian asked.

"Yes," Ray confirmed. "It's the only way for her to live a semi-normal life. But, I need you to promise me that you will protect her."

"I promise," Christian said seriously. Ray could see the man was in fact not joking, so he gave a slight nod.

"Good," Ray said, amused when Christian seemed a bit relieved. He cleared his throat before continuing.

"There are evil eyes watching this home," Ray stated lowly. Christian's eyes narrowed, and Ray saw the moment his wolf became alert.

"Where?" he hissed low in his throat. Ray waved his hand around.

"No need to speak low. I sounded the room in silence the moment the both of us stepped in," he said confidently. Christian was surprised and relaxed his shoulders a bit.
"Where is this evil? I need to let my guards know."

"Yes, you do. But please bring your staff to this room. No one will be able to hear outside of it, except for another seer or guardian." Christian studied the man before agreeing.

"Tell me about this Jack fellow," Ray said venom in his voice. Christian's eyes changed to a complete red before answering.

"He is my half-brother I had no knowledge of before. And I plan to kill him."

We getting into it! Love you all and leave me a review!
