Kat and Olivia come walking into the squadroom. Everyone claps and tell her that she's back where she belongs.
She lets everyone knows that she's okay. She's sore, but she'll be okay. "Maura, the nose feels better. Thank you."
"You're welcome. Just remember to ice it several times a day for a few more days."
"I will. I don't want to look like Tyson, as you said", Kat smiles as she says that.
"Okay, Kat. We have some pictures I want you to look at."
"Okay, Captain. Is the guy you arrested still in holding?"
"Yes, Carisi hasn't charged him yet. Those charges have to be filed today. He's waiting on the video from California to confirm a few things."
"I want to see him."
"Not until you look at the photos. You know why I need you to do that."
"Yes, Captain, I know."
Jane brings 10 photos to show Kat. Maura moves closer to Kat and she places her hand on Kat's shoulder to show support. All of the photos match prints found in the abandoned restaurant. They focused on prints found on the freezer handle, the chair and countertops. Kat looks at each photo very carefully. The only one she recognizes is Hyatt.
"That's the guy that kicked and hit me. I gave him a black eye. He tied me to the chair and drugged me. I don't recognize the other people."
"Kat, did you see anyone else other than the man you just identified?"
"No."
"Did you ever hear him talking to anyone other than the call you told us about already?"
"No."
Maura rubs Kat's shoulder. "Good job, Kat."
"Okay, now can I see the guy you have in custody?"
Hyatt has been moved back into interrogation to wait for Carisi. It's also easier for Kat to see him, due to the two way mirror.
"Yep. That's him. No question. You can see the black eye that I gave that son of a bitch. You can also see his bruised knuckles from what he did to me."
Frost calls out for Kat. "You have a visitor. You up for it?"
She turns around and sees Elizabeth. "What are you doing here so early?"
"You said you were coming in today to identify some pictures, so I knew you'd be here and I knew everyone else would be here too. Everyone has been so great. I wanted to bring coffee."
"Oh, Elizabeth, that's extremely sweet of you. Oh, and mine has my name on it?"
"Maura, we talked coffee yesterday, you told me what you liked. I know Kat's order too. The rest of you just have black coffee. Sorry."
"Elizabeth, we appreciate your sincerity. You were extremely cooperative in helping us. You must really like Kat", Jane comments.
Elizabeth looks at Kat, smiles at her, then back at Jane. "I do, very much. And I believe that I have you and Maura to thank for that. I mean, until Maura told her that life was too short, she was too shy to ask me out."
Kat is a little embarrassed. Maura leans into her and bumps her shoulder.
Olivia stands up, "Okay, everybody, we can close this case, at least I hope we're closing it. Carisi is going to be filing charges against this guy. Agent Dean is going to find out where Hoyt wants to be transferred.
Kat, it's Friday. I want you out all of next week. Jane, Maura, Barry, we couldn't have done this without you. Elizabeth, thank you for talking to us. You didn't know us, you trusted us and gave us your phone. Most people wouldn't do that. This team is back to normal operations, with the exception of being down one detective."
"Captain Benson, I've always known that Kat was a cop. There is no way that I wouldn't help find her. If any other customer had gone missing, I'd still help. The fact that I'm interested in her may have been the motivation behind me giving you my phone. It had texts and phone calls to and from her. I'm a psychology major at NYU. I'm interested in Forensic Psychology. I'm a junior now. I really want to get into law enforcement. This was good experience for me. I'm just really glad that she was found and that she's okay."
"Thank you again. We really appreciate it. You are welcome to stop in any time."
"Thank you, Captain. Kat, I need to get back to the coffee shop. Can I call you later today?"
"Of course you can. Thank you for everything. I'll talk to you later."
Elizabeth gives Kat a kiss on he cheek and tells everyone goodbye.
"Oh, look at you Tamin. You go girl", Jane teases Kat. Kat blushes. Jane laughs.
"Hey, Finn, can you call BPD on that fancy phone?"
"Sure thing Jane."
"Boston Homicide, Detective Holiday."
"Hey, Nina, it's, well, all of us."
"Hi guys."
Everyone says hello.
"Did you find any dirt on Hyatt? We couldn't come up with anything other than a public intoxication and a couple of tickets."
"Not really, no. I found out who he was arrested with in college. Frankie called him to see if he's had any contact with Hyatt after college. He said that after they got arrested they never talked again. The reason they got arrested to begin with was because they were fighting."
"Did he say what they were fighting about?"
"The idiots were fighting over the last beer. They got loud and started hitting each other. Someone called the cops. They didn't even know each other. They had a mutual friend but that's it."
"Thanks, Nina. I appreciate it. We're going to be in NY until Sunday morning. We'll see you on Monday. Oh, wait, we'll be back for Sunday dinner, so I'll see you then."
"Bye everyone."
"Sunday dinner? Can we come?", Finn asks with a smile.
"It's Rizzoli family dinner. My Ma has always had big family dinners. Since my Pop left it's taken a left turn. She still cooks a ton of food. We have it at Maura's house every week. It's my Ma, both my brothers, Maura, Frost, Nina, Korsack and me. Hell, Ma lives in Maura's guesthouse. Anytime you're in Boston on a Sunday, call me. We'll add set a place at the table for you."
"Nice, you never know when we might show up", Finn gives a big smile.
"Any of you will always be welcome at my home, any time. We're family now."
"The only thing left to do on this case is for Carisi to file the charges. They are going to be the ones we discussed last night. At this time, nothing has been added."
"Okay. Olivia, if you don't need us, Maura and I are going to go do a few things. I have a surprise up my sleeve for her. You have our numbers if there is anything you need."
"I'd love to take everyone out to dinner either tonight or tomorrow. That includes Noah. Amanda, your two girls too. Talk about it and let us know. I've heard good things about Black Tap or 5 Napkin Burger, they are both kid friendly."
"Maura that sounds great. We'll let you know. Go enjoy the city."
"Hey, Frost, you want to come with us?"
"No, Jane. Go have a good couples day. I'll see you tomorrow. I'm going to go catch a Yankees game."
"See you later Barry", Maura adds. "Oh, and Jane, you have a surprise up your sleeve? That sounds intriguing", Maura smiles and has a quizzical look on her face.
Jane has arranged to get a wheelchair for their adventure. She helps Maura into it and they leave the SVU squadroom.
"So, a surprise for me? Detective Rizzoli, want to give me any clues?"
"Nope. Just know that I love you dearly."
"Well, Jane, I already knew that."
They arrive at The Met. "Oh, Jane. Really? We get to spend the day at The Met? Our first date was a museum and now our second date is a museum? You do love me."
"Maura, I told you I want to learn more about the things you like. This is a thing you like. We have all day. It's only 10am. I figured we'd be here until about 2. There is a great café inside for a light lunch."
Maura reaches back for Jane's hand. She takes it and kisses it and places it over her heart. "Jane, I'm in love with you. You make me happy. You make me feel things I've never felt before. You make me feel safe. You make my body react in ways I had only dreamt of. Jane, you're the only person for me. The only person that I want in my arms and in my bed."
"Now who's being sappy?", Jane places a kiss on Maura's head.
