Chapter 17
Danielle watched as Spinner ran back and forth in front of her, gathering items from boxes, and running to place them somewhere. "What are you doing?" she asked, confused. Spinner didn't stop, continuing to gather all of these different boxes, ignoring her. Danielle looked over at Zoom as he walked in. "What is he doing?" she asked, motioning to Spinner.
"I…" Zoom started, but hesitated as he saw Spinner running back and forth. "Have no idea." he finished, and the 2 stood there, watching him running back and forth. "Is it cleaning day or something?" Denielle asked, looking at all the boxes that Spinner hadn't gotten out. "No. And even if it was, Spinner would never be the one doing it." Zoom replied.
"Maybe he's… looking for a video game?" she suggested, looking back at the closet that Spinner kept on disappearing into. Vert joined in a minute later, helping Spinner get the boxes out. "Hey, Vert. What are you and Spinner doing?" Zoom asked, and the leader turned to look at Danielle and him.
"Christmas is coming up, and then a week later, it's the new year." Vert replied, setting a box down. "Christmas?" the 2 both asked, confused. Vert frowned, "You two have… never celebrated Christmas?" he asked, and they nodded. "Never celebrated anything at the order." Zoom said, while Danielle gave a weak smile. "My parents… were never around to teach me any holidays." she said quietly.
"Well… Christmas is when you spend time with friends and family, and… well, you know. Just spend time together, and have fun." Vert said, and Danielle and Zoom looked at each other. "We'll… be back in a minute." they said, and walked away. The two bikers sat down in the empty rec room, and it was quiet before Danielle spoke. "Christmas… It's a time for showing how much we care about others?" she asked. Zoom shrugged, but nodded. "It sounds like it would be. You know, we should work together, and come up with the best idea to show the others how much we care!" Zoom said, and she nodded. "Okay."
