Singularity Candidate: Mifune Apartment Complex

"This is…"

Shirou looked around at the modern day setting he was in. This was not the distant past like all the previous singularities that they have journeyed to before. There were no castles of stone, no chimneys on the streets on London, no grand Roman Coliseums nor a huge war from America.

This… honestly felt like home.

Shirou heard of Mifune city before. He doesn't know how he can remember, but he knew someone that went there once before back when she was a high school student for a school trip.

He recalled there being a murder case when she was there, yet she remained to be safe as their group had to go home the next day.

It was an entirety of strange events if he could recall the news correctly. An entire building collapsing, a mass suicide of seven young women, an entire bridge falling apart and an increase in the drug trade in that city.

However, there was an important detail from his memory that felt missing. Who was it…?

"Shirou! Cook me breakfast please… I'm dying…"

It was someone important… but why can't he put a name and a face together?

"Damn."

He felt close to the answer too. He didn't know why he couldn't come up with it. Almost as if he was blocking his own memories or they had been erased. Like events, basic language, and even his own personality was intact, yet he couldn't remember anybody else other than Sakura. Or… Could he…?

He shook his head. This wasn't the time for that. There was a singularity going on, his thoughts on his past can be dealt with later.

Perhaps this singularity was related to the building. Was there something magical going on during that case? Maybe there was-

"Senpai!"

He was pushed out of the way by Mash as something sharp cut through the spot where he was.

"The hell? Mash! Focus on defensive!"

Mash brought her shield out to prepare for battle. "Yes! Battle commencing immediately!"

Shirou stared at what attacked him. He had to know what his opponent was so that he could help Mash in battle. What it was…

"It was creepy… she seemed to be my age. I can't help but wonder why she did it?"

…a young girl dressed in white clothes. She seemed to be translucent… transparent even. Like a ghost that should not be and had died long ago. Her eyes seemed to be dry and devoid of life and color. And her clothes were just a simple white robe that covered her whole body, longer than her arms and longer than her legs. She was also afloat, as though she could not touch the floor.

Shirou traced a bow and arrow and fired it at what attacked him.

The arrow did not make impact. It went right through the girl and struck the wall behind her.

"Wha-?"

It seems that these things really were ghosts. Did he have a weapon to even fight these things in his arsenal at all? He doubted it. He tries to search for a weapon before he hears Mash scream.

"SENPAI! LOOK OUT!"

He turns to see a ghost reach out to his face. This one had longer hair and seemed a lot older than the others.

He was going to die.

He didn't know what the ghost could do to him, but he knew that he was going to die. Every fiber of his being could feel it as her hand was inching closer to his face.

It was cold. Colder than anything he ever felt before. It was a frozen chill that haunted his depths even more than the mists of London and loomed over him, mocking his inability to do anything at the moment as he was about to die. This chill countered the flames in his memories as the hand inched closer and closer.

Only for it to be cut off.

"Eh?"

Shock was the only emotion that entered Shirou's mind right now as he turns to see who saved him.

Bearing a red jacket over a traditional yukata and short tomboyish hair, the figure that saved him stood out. Armed with nothing more than a sharp knife she sliced right through the ghastly figure and simply watched as it disappeared into mist.

He stared at his savior. She stared back with a very nonchalant attitude.

It was then he noticed that her eyes are glowing. Something about those eyes screamed at him that she was more dangerous than any of these ghosts, than anything that was currently going on in this singularity. Those were the eyes of someone who could kill anything.

A moment passes before the silence is broken between them.

"You're quite the tragic thing, aren't you?"

Shirou's eyes widen as the girl said them in a feminine manner, somewhat unbecoming of her own tomboyish image. But it was not only the tone that struck him off guard, but the words themselves. It seemed that, he was being pitied by the girl.

His mouth could not form words, all that came out was a lingering silence as his mouth was agape.

Her face began to relax and return to a more fitting and tomboyish look instead. "Geez, you can't even defend yourself. Just sit there and let me handle this."

Then in a burst of speed she leapt forward and began to slash at several of the ghosts behind her. It was done with such grace, talent and skill. It looked like a dance of death. Even though her movements were somewhat unrefined, it did not matter as the awe was still left behind.

Several of the ghosts disappeared with a single slash as they were all cut down by her blade. With each slice, the ghosts that were in the area dissolved into nothingness.

And so, began the singularity candidate.

Singularity Candidate: Chateau D'if

"Kuhaha. KUHAHAHAHAHA!" Laughed the mad Servant. One that echoed the halls of that room with hatred, anger, and seethed with his need of revenge.

From a one-off Servant in the 3rd Holy Grail War, the title Avenger now belonged to a class. Shirou understood this. This Servant that had tried to befriend him and guide him through the tower is a wicked one and must be purged from the very world.

"Trace…"

He was meant to feel something. Was it sadness that he was cutting down a former ally? Enraged at the obvious betrayal that he enacted and imposed on him? Regret that Edmond Dantes, the Count of Monte Cristo was not his ally?

In his mind, an image flickered. One was a dagger brought down on someone he cared for and someone he killed. "Shirou?"

Who was she?

He did not know. He tossed aside any memory involving her.

Perhaps at this point, he was just used to cutting down allies and people he knew. Maybe that was why he felt so dull at this betrayal or used to it.

But he had to respond to this hatred.

This hatred that was so similar to the sin of Sakura Matou, this Servant that was born from a need of vengeance, this entity that had close ties to that of which he had murdered. He had to cut this Servant down.

"…on."

And in his hands are the twin falchions once more.

He would not be able to keep up with this Servant. He knew that. Avenger was far too quick for him to handle and after witnessing all those battles where he was the master, he understood that it would take more than his own abilities to just stop him.

He steeled his resolve.

"Let's go, Avenger."

His eyes burned its amber gaze towards the servant's crackling dark energy. He was returned by a glare of darkness. Rage born from betrayal, vengeance born from sin, and hatred born from contempt.

"So, you are truly resolved to walk down this path… Shirou Emiya!"

With that, grudges rushed forward to meet blades. Vengeance began to clash with resolve, sin struck against sinner, it was truly a battle to witness.

A Master that was born from sin that has turned into the form of a blade.

A Servant that was born from sin that has turned into the form of hatred.

And so, the two clashed.

Singularity Candidate: Rashoumon

"GOLDEN DRIVE!"

With that, Sakata Kintoki slammed his golden axe over the head of the relatively small oni. The floor cracked and skies rumbled with thunder and lightning. All of Kyoto could see the strength of the golden and cool Berserker.

Yet despite all that strength, it was nothing more than a slap on the face to Ibaraki-Douji.

"Tch. The hell are you so tough for?" And he stepped back. Him, Mash and Master had to rethink their strategy. After all, they've been fighting for what felt like days at this point and it's almost as though Ibaraki was barely scratched at all by any of them.

Smirking, Ibaraki points her hand towards Shirou. Her palm left open and bare facing him.

This was it. She was going to unleash her Noble Phantasm. Its devastating power is something that is to be feared. Her right hand that was cut off by Watanabe no Tsuna. It can be detached and launched like a rocket. Its devastating power can be considered to be Anti-Army, but if focused well enough, it can be an Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm.

"Hehehe. This arm of mine is now back as a monstrosity!"

"GET READY MASH!" Shirou yelled at the top of his lungs. It didn't matter at this point if Ibaraki knew what they were planning. She would no longer stop her Noble Phantasm.

Nodding her head, Mash puts up her shield to protect her master from the incoming Noble Phantasm.

"Deploying Noble Phantasm."

"GO FORTH! SOGEN-BI!"

Her hand rockets forth. Aiming towards the little girl defending her Master.

"LORD CHALDEAS!"

And her will comes forth as a beautiful blue shield. One that holds her own will and her own desires. To protect her Master from the oncoming onslaught.

Ibaraki simply smirks. "Not bad, but just wait till you- "

"GOT YOU!"

Ibaraki turned to see the Sakata Kintoki rush up behind her with his Golden Axe.

This was their current plan. A sneak attack. Get Ibaraki to focus on Mash and hit as hard as they can with Kintoki with either his pure strength or his Noble Phantasm. This has been going on for a while now. Shirou has been using mystic codes provided to him by Da Vinci to heal all the Servants and provide them with mana faster. Though not his style, it was all he could do at the moment.

Ibaraki was now in a pinch. She may have had her sword, but she would not be enough to defend the next few attacks. They did a number on her for that day, so she had to retreat.

She clicks her tongue.

The weight on Mash's arms disappears as Ibaraki's hand retreats back into her arm.

"That's enough for the day. I'll retreat to gain some more strength."

With that, she falls jumps out of Kintoki's way and runs behind a sealed gate.

"Damn and we were so close to getting her too." Kintoki curses.

It seemed they were in for quite the long battle for the coming days.

Singularity Candidate: Onigashima

He… really didn't know how to feel about this situation.

On one hand, he was on this path to help save humanity. If this were to get out of hand, it would be terrible and terrifying. A world ruled by oni or destroyed by it. Should such a thing happen…

On the other hand, what the hell was going on?

"Yo Master! Looking pretty golden huh?"

Is that a motorbike? With spikes? Leaving a fire trail? As a Noble Phantasm?

How?

Why?

No, he shouldn't question it anymore. Most of the time he's spent in Chaldea and in Holy Grail Wars have led him to believe that every rule set up is broken. There are no such things as rules in Holy Grail Wars anymore. There are rule breakers, Rule Breakers, and the rules.

Still, a motorbike?

This is a far cry from his lightning axe from earlier.

And who was that big woman that saved them earlier?

And what was…

He slaps himself so that he can focus on the mission. It was uncharacteristic of him to be focused on this type of thing.

OMAKE: Rashamoun Re-Run

Ibaraki stood by the gates, waiting proudly for the next time the Chaldeans would attack her. She knew that they were far too weak to deal with the likes of her. After all, she had the power of the Grail by her side, giving her the strength to fight and the health to last all their strikes. Surely, she can-

Then she smelled it. It was this haunting smell that cursed her for ages. This sickly, sweet smell that poisoned her far worse than anything than what Shuten drank.

"Well, don't worry now Shirou~. This will be taken care of like a dream."

"Oh ho! Don't worry my dear Master! Tamamo-chan will help give you a boost!"

"Eeny, Meeny Miney, Moe."

"Heat up, Marmyadose."

"Yup, yup! Setting up traps is fun."

"Yes, yes. Here you go, Ma-chan."

"I can't believe that even you're overworking me. Well then, here are your buffs then."

"If you're going to finish this in an instant, at least make it an amusing finish, Faker."

"Let the sadness of Romeo give you strength!"

"Well then, which Bach do you prefer?"

"Allow me to write the story of your life."

"Trace on."

Her eyes began to bulge at the approaching figure. Who it appeared to be was a terrifying figure, inhuman. It could be said that oni paled in comparison to what this threat was. Whatever this was, it would be fast approaching. She could tell that this power could kill her in a single strike despite possessing the Holy Grail. This hulking figure that somehow managed to breathe steam from his mouth, muscles the size of mountains, eyes glowing red.

Suddenly, she disappeared. Death took her without her even noticing. She faded from existence in an instant without even seeing how she was struck or slaughtered. Despite holding the strength of the grail, her own existence disappeared as though she were not a terrifying oni, but a fragile glass figurine.

However, she did hear her murders words to her before she died. Those last haunting words that would bully her as she entered Chaldea and lifetimes beyond that.

"Unga Bunga."

OMAKE round 2

Servant Summons

Class: Archer

Date: Post-America

.

"Servant Archer, responding to your…"

The Servant stares at his new master. Without a doubt it's his past self, yet something seems off about him. As much as he was willing to kill him, there seems to be something different about the boy.

Their eyes meet.

Golden eyes meet silver.

A future that can no longer be and a past that could have been.

A moment of silence washes over them. It did not feel oppressive, it did not go by quickly nor did it feel like time was stopped. It was simply a moment of a person observing one another.

The boy spoke first, breaking the silence.

"… Why are you so familiar?"

It wasn't because he was the Guardian at Fuyuki. It was not because he had the same abilities as him. There was something about this red-clad hero that just seemed all too familiar.

As he stared at him, he could not accept him. He could not accept him. He could not accept him.

Yet he was right there.

The Archer smirks and waves it off.

"Like it's important. I doubt that you'll know me and I doubt I know you. From here on out just trust in my abilities."

For the first time, EMIYA is going against his instincts to kill Shirou. His entire body screaming at him to kill him, to erase him, to slice him down so he can finally die.

Yet, he cannot deny that the boy is different from how he was. Even thought they had barely met, even though he was just summoned, he can tell.

This was not the boy that dreamed to be a hero.

Class: Berserker

Date: Post-London

.

"Sorry to trouble you! Servant Berserker, responding to your summons."

A large man with a golden haircut, a golden axe, and golden accessories responded to Chaldea's most recent summons. The only things that weren't golden were his black pants, white jacket, and purple shades.

"Uuuummm. Nice to meet you. My name is Shirou Emiya, and welcome to Chaldea."

The large man smiles.

"Hoooo. This place might be awesome. Well then, nice to be working with ya, Master!"

Shirou is somewhat speechless at the moment. For a Berserker, not only does he seem reasonable, capable of speech, but he's also somewhat friendly. Perhaps his Madness Enhancement is far too low?

That is until the Berserker went right up close to his face.

"Eh? What is it?"

He seemed to be staring directly into his eyes.

"Interestin. You got some golden eyes huh? That's pretty golden of you! We might get along well Master!"

Ah. That's probably the only part where he got Madness Enhancement. He loves gold way too much.

Class: Rider

Date: Post Babylonia

"You are…" She may have had her blindfold on, but she could still see who was right in front of her. The same boy that was capable of saving one that was cursed to be a monster.

"Rider." Shirou says with a stern face.

He holds out his hand.

"I know this might be too much to ask from you, but please help me out one last time." He leaves it outstretched.

It might be too much to ask from her. He had already demanded too much from her. He was probably being unreasonable. She had sacrificed so much for Sakura, and now he was asking her to sacrifice a bit more effort for him to reunite with her.

She gently takes his hand.

"I shall repeat what I told you once before. Servant Rider, I shall become your wings and promise to aid you to the end of the world."

AN

Guess who's back

It's the motherfucking pussy with a little nutsack.

Don't care about cheddar or the pepper chase

I'm a fuckin grown man with zits on my face

It's been months since I last updated. Yes, you can burn me on a stake for it. At least I can be with Jalter. Best tsundere, fight me.

Anyways, one a serious note, next chapter isn't going to be the Salmon, (I know it's not called that) but a bunch of events since they're seemingly cannon. I'll focus on some serious events, maybe add in some comedy, and maybe make my own, would seem like fun.

I left this unfinished for months and even had the Fate/Zero event here, but I realized I just rushed to the Shirou vs Kiritsugu moment, so I saved it into another file and just went with what I had, but removed it from here.

Also, like I said, I won't update as often. This story isn't dead, I'm just buried under college work.

Another thing is thanks for the criticism. I saw a few, from Eternal King and a bunch of other guests. Thanks for giving it to me. I may not have the best ideas, nor do I have the best writing but I'll do my best to take those things into account. This is not a fic that takes the lore and makes something interesting out of it, but a popcorn fic. I like falling into tropes and cliches. Something stupid, but something to show my love for the series other than whaling.

Also, on another note. Apologies for me getting some stuff wrong with the lore. Demi-Servants and Pusedo-Servants sounded too similar to me so I thought both were one in the same.

I also threw in some stuff at the end. If you like it, I can make more of it.

As always, thank you for enjoying my story! If you didn't, then thank you for your time!
