Chapter 17: Quinton's Stand, Part 3

Lady then went out back.

"Hey! Joshua! Your friend is awake, and he's freaking out because of his new Stand!" Lady said.

"He's awake? Joshua! Come with me! Lady! Stay outside with Katsuma!" Ashley said as she and Joshua went back inside the house.

"(Walks outside) What's going on here, Katsuma?" Lady asked.

"Oh, we were trying to destroy the dirt, but it's impossible for it to break it open." Katsuma replied.

"Oh… My Stand isn't even fast enough to destroy it, or powerful enough…" Lady said.

"I see…" Katsuma said. "What are Joshua and Ashley up to?"

"For Joshua's friend, who has a Stand now..."

"Ah, I see now."

Inside, Joshua and Ashley went into the room where Quinton is in.

"Quinton!" Joshua said.

"Ah! JoJo?! What are you doing here?!" Quinton asked.

"We'll leave that for later." Ashley said. "Right now, we've got to calm you down. (Looks at Quinton's Stand) Looks like his Stand is activated… It's a strange one… It can cut out his hands with a substance…"

"What the hell are you talking about by a Stand?!" Quinton shouted.

"Don't shout at me!" Ashley shouted.

"Hey! Guys, let's all calm down." Joshua said. "Let's just see what Quinton's Stand can do. Quinton, can you recall your Stand?"

"How the hell does that work?"

"Let me show you my Stand."

Joshua then brings out Danger Zone next to him.

"Holy crap!" Quinton shouted. "He looks tough!"

"Ok, let's try to recall both of our Stands." Joshua said as he recalled his Stand.

Quinton's hands then reattached themselves back to Quinton's arms. The substance then went back inside Quinton's body.

"(Sighs) Ok… That was freaky…" Quinton said. "Glad that's over with… Thanks, JoJo."

"It's no problem." Joshua said as he looked at Ashley walking out of the room. "Be right back for a moment, Quinton."

"Ok."

Joshua then went over to Ashley.

"Was it something that I did?" Joshua asked.

"No… It's just… Why do I get very frustrated over these types of things?" Ashley wonders. "First I yelled at Lady back at that abandoned house and now I made this situation worse by trying to calm Quinton down, but my anger couldn't resist it…"

"Hey, it's ok…"

"It's not. It's definitely not ok. (Sighs) I'm going back to my room and wait for a phone call from a friend of mine. Go with Quinton."

"Ok."

Joshua then walks back to Quinton.

"I'm back." Joshua said. "Ashley just needs some time alone. Maybe she'll tell you about how did you get your Stand later on."

"(Sighs) Alright…" Quinton said. "So, what does my Stand even do?"

"Don't know… Maybe we'll see how it does."

Joshua and Quinton then went to the kitchen.

"Santona? Huh, maybe he's outside, like he always has…" Joshua said. "Anyways, Quinton. Let's head outback. Maybe your Stand can be useful for this…"

"This is getting somewhere… Maybe?" Quinton said.

Joshua and Quinton then headed outback. Out there, Lady and Katsuma tried to think of ways to break the dort open.

"Hmm… Looks like my Stand's flowers won't work, since they can only heal." Lady said. "(Looks at Quinton) Ah, you're feeling fine?"

"Yes." Quinton replied as he looked at the dirt. "What's going on here?"

"We're tryna use our Stands to destroy the dirt, because I couldn't sworn that I felt something in there." Katsuma replied.

"Let me see if I can try." Quinton said.

"What the?" Lady said.

"Huh? You?" Katsuma said. "Well, go ahead."

Quinton then used his Stand. His hands dropped to the dirt

"Woah!" Katsuma said as he jumped. "Ok, his hands have come off!"

"(Takes a deep breath) I got this…" Quinton said to himself as his hands have then lifted up.

"Ok… I'm freaking out right now!" Katsuma said.

Then, Quinton's hands then disappeared.

"What the hell? Where my hands at?" Quinton wonders. "(Looks at the substance connecting between his arms and to the ground. "Huh? Looks like they are in the dirt."

"Oh! He might get what's buried in there!" Katsuma said.

"Ok! Everyone! Shh! Let him do what he needs to do!" Lady said.

"Come on, Quinton…" Joshua said to himself. "You can do it…"

"...I feel something! It's in the dirt!" Quinton said.

Quinton's Stand then returned aboveground. In possession was a piece of amethyst, but all cracked up and covered in dirt.

"Is that, a piece of amethyst?" Katsuma wonders.

"Here, let me give it to you." Quinton said. "Is it important or something?"

"Of course!" Katsuma replied as he was given the amethyst from Quinton. "Be right back, everyone."

Katsuma then went back into the house to find Ashley walking down the stairs.

"Ashley!" Katsuma said.

"Katsuma? What is it?" Ashley asked.

"We finally found what's in that dirt." Katsuma replied. "Joshua's friend, Quinton, used his Stand for us."

Joshua and Quinton then went inside while Katsuma gives the amethyst to Ashley.

"Ah, so your Stand is useful for something, Quinton." Ashley said.

"Um… I still need to learn more about it… Ha ha…" Quinton said.

"Does your Stand have a name yet?" Ashley asked.

"You want me to give my Stand a name?"

"I'll name it for you." Katsuma said as he closed his eyes and thinks for a moment. "(Snaps his fingers) Your Stand will be named, Twisted Transistor."

"Alright, I'll take that name…" Quinton said as he nodded his head.

Ashley then looks at the amethyst.

"It's all cracked up… All covered in dirt…" Ashley said.

"It's never signaling for enemies in that form." Katsuma said. "It might have been in the ground for a long time…"

"How do you know about that?" Quinton asked.

"Well, I am the current Keeper of The Amethyst Gardens." Ashley said. "Katsuma is not only my close friend, but also my assistant to myself, The Keeper of The Amethyst Gardens."

"Amethyst Gardens… I think I've seen that place before." Quinton said. "Well, I guess that's it for me, right? Is there anything else for me to do?"

"..." Ashley was silent. She sees Lady in the distance, looking at the flowers she planted with her Stand, Dead Flowers. "Hold on, (Gives the amethyst to Quinton) I'll let you clean it by washing away the dirt while we're gone."

"Ok? Where are you going?"

"Don't go out there, you three. I have to talk to Lady." Ashley replied as she went outside.

"What's going on here?"

"Long story." Joshua replied. "VERY long story…"

Ashley then walks over to Lady. She looked away and took a deep breath.

"Hey, Lady… I didn't mean to yell at you…" Ashley said. "Uh… I…"

"(Looks at Ashley) I thought you would be optimistic like one of your friends, Miss Grain…" Lady said.

"Ok, please don't refer to me as, "Miss Grain" anymore." Ashley said. "Please, just call me Ashley."

"It's a bit hard to say… But what if you never even got over this whole thing?" Lady wonders.

"Just… Don't bring up anything else, Lady."

"Ok…"

"Listen, I came out here, just to apologize to you for almost flipping out on you."

"It's ok."

Lady then got up and hugged Ashley.

"You're… Hugging me…" Ashley said.

"I just want you to be a good person… Ashley." Lady said. "Even though you have flaws, you can still be a good one."

"(Sighs) Thanks, Lady…" Ashley said.

When Lady and Ashley went back inside, Santona went back inside as well.

"Hey, what did I miss?" Santona asked.

"Forget about it." Ashley replied. "We're going out to eat. Quinton will be running the house while we're out.

"Hell yeah! Wait, what's the time?"

"It's only 5:00." Joshua replied. "Let's head out.

"Ok, you guys have a good time." Quinton said.

"We'll give you something to eat as well from the restaurant." Ashley said.

"Thank you!"

When they all left, Quinton looked at the amethyst he's holding.

"Alright, let's clean it all up." Quinton said as he walked into the kitchen.
